2023- February
"Elliot, do you love me?" Olivia asked as she sat with him at their table. The rest of the gang was there either dancing or getting more drinks from the bar. Olivia was nursing her fourth drink and Elliot was starting to suspect that she lied about eating dinner.
"Of course, I do. Why would you ask me that?" Elliot asked with a smile as he leaned closer to her.
Olivia played with her straw and shrugged. "Because we haven't had sex in forever."
Elliot rolled his eyes and kissed her nose. "That's because we've been working harder than ever for the past three months. We're always tired."
"I'm not tired." Olivia defended with a hint of a whine.
"Babe, you drop onto the bed and the snoring starts five seconds after." Elliot chuckled before rubbing her back. "We have the next two days off. Tucker is coming in. We can have all the sex we want while the kids are at school."
Olivia grinned. "Promise?"
Elliot kissed her hard. "Liv, baby, that is a promise I will seal with a different part of my anatomy." Olivia smiled.
"They are getting handsy!" John blurted to Alex as they walked over after being on the dance floor.
Alex chuckled and sat next to Olivia, leaning against her. "She deserves it! Six closed cases in three months. If I were here, I'd be taking you into the bathroom."
Olivia looked up at Elliot with a pleading look. Elliot laughed and shook his head before kissing her cheek. "Who knows who's has sex in there? Besides, I want you in a bed not by a toilet." He said making her grin at him.
"Olivia, they have karaoke!" Casey squealed as she hurried over, drunk as well.
"I'm not singing." Fin chuckled as he walked by them, going to his seat.
Casey rolled her eyes and held up her palm to Fin, blowing him off. "Maybe Elliot will sing with you."
Olivia gasped and took Elliot's hand. "Maybe..."
"Liv-" Elliot started, but was cut off.
"C'mon, El, sing with me." Olivia stuck out her lip and stood up, leaning against him, before bringing her lips to his ear. "You know how generous I am when you do something for me."
Elliot remembered the last time he gave her massage and she rewarded him chocolate and her. He grinned remembering her moans as he licked the chocolate off her breasts. "I want whip cream this time."
Olivia smiled and pulled him off his stool. "Deal." She tugged him up onto stage and had him sing 'Take Me Home Tonight' with her.
July
Elliot grinned next to Olivia as she stared in shock. "What do you think?" He asked. "Isn't she beautiful?"
"You just called it a she." Olivia said staring at the large boat in front of her. "Why do you have it hooked up to your truck?"
"It's ours! I thought it would be nice to have for the summers when we get bored. That way we aren't borrowing Fin's all the time." Elliot explained before climbing onto the boat. "I am bringing it to the picnic so the kids can go tubing. Kendle and Zack loved going tubing during the summer."
Olivia watched as husband strapped things down onto the boat as if he had owned it for years. "El, you didn't even ask me."
Elliot looked at her and laid down on the front deck of the boat so he was face level with her. "I know, and I'm sorry. But, I wanted it to be a surprise for a reason." He held out his hand to her and waited until she slid her hand into his before tugging her softly to the other side of the boat. Olivia grinned when she saw her name written on the side of the boat.
"Olivia?" She asked before looking up at him in her bikini, her sunglasses holding her hair back.
"My Olivia!" Elliot grinned smugly pointing to the word My before Olivia. "How could I ask you to get something I was going to name after you?"
Olivia chuckled and rested her arms on the boat before kissing her husband. "You could've thought of just asking for the boat. Then, put my name on it without me knowing."
"Well, I could've done that I guess." Elliot smiled before kissing her forehead. "But, how do you like it?"
Olivia laughed and cupped his face in her hands. "I do love the boat. I can tan out on the lake now."
"We could go to a secluded area so you can tan without getting tan lines from your bikini." Elliot suggested trying not to sound to eager about it.
Olivia gasped as she smiled. "You just love me naked and with you."
"Gross!" Eli whined as he and Oliver walked into their garage. "We don't want to know that."
Zack walked out with his phone in hand. He looked up and chuckled. "Guys, they are just as gross as they were when Dickie, Summer, Kendle, and I were at your age." He looked at his dad. "I am going to go meet my roommate tomorrow by the way. His dad is coming. Do you wanna come?"
Elliot nodded. "Sure." He sat up and hopped off the boat. "Let's go. Everybody is meeting us at the lake."
October
Elliot took Olivia's hand as they entered the clinic. He squeezed her hand reassuringly. "Babe, I'm sure everything is fine."
"El, you and I have never had problems getting pregnant. I have not gone through the change and we have a better sex life than we did when we got married. Something is wrong." Olivia whispered and walked up the desk with him. After they checked in for the appointment, they sat down.
"If something is wrong, we'll deal with it. But, no matter what he says, I am going to stay with you and love you because I have never loved anyone else and will never love anyone else the way I love you." Elliot said leaning closer to her.
Olivia smiled lightly up at him and kissed him. "What if it's cancer, El?"
Elliot shook his head. "Let's not jump to anything. Okay? Let's just see what this doctor has to say. He's supposed to be really good and was recommended by Dr. Lucas when he retired."
"I know." Olivia breathed before a nurse came out.
"Olivia Stabler?" A nurse asked as she looked down at her clipboard.
Elliot stood up quickly feeling the nerves catch up with him. He took Olivia's hand and walked back with her into a room. He watched as Olivia sat down on the patient's table and ran a hand through her hair. He stood beside her and kissed her temple, rubbing her back, as they waited.
Soon, a younger doctor came in with shaved head and scrubs. He smiled warmly at them and held out his hand. "Hi, I'm Dr. Manuel. It's nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too." Olivia smiled trying to settle herself.
"Dr. Lucas recommended you. He thinks you are the next hot shot." Elliot grinned shaking the doctor's hand.
Dr. Manuel smiled. "Well, that's good. He is my dad."
Olivia furrowed her eyebrows. "But, you two don't have the same last name..."
"Oh, my mom gave me her maiden name because my grandpa wanted his name passed on." He explained with a smile. He sat down on his stool and looked over things on his computer. "So, the nurse said that you are wondering why you aren't getting pregnant..."
"Yes, El and I have been trying for more than three years now. I was pregnant three years ago, but we lost the baby when I got shot." Olivia explained.
Dr. Manuel nodded and looked at his clipboard. "We have record of that. Uh, we can always check to see how fertile you two are, but I think I know why you aren't getting pregnant."
Elliot furrowed his eyebrows. "What is it?"
"I don't know if your surgeon ever told you this, but the bullet that you were shot with damaged your right ovary. He actually had to remove it when he removed the bullet." Dr. Manuel explained. "So, your chances of getting pregnant were cut in half when you were shot." He looked at his computer for a second before looking back at them. "And, there could be a chance that your left ovary doesn't produce as many eggs as your right one did."
"Well, that's gotta be it. Our only planned child was our daughter and she'll be twenty-six next week." Elliot said crossing his arms over his chest. Olivia chuckled at him and shook her head.
Dr. Manuel smiled. "Well, then that is probably the answer. Your chances of getting pregnant are low, but they aren't impossible. If you want, we can always double check or we can prescribe hormones. We can also try taking your eggs and his sperm and fertilizing them here before planting them in you." He explained to Olivia.
Olivia nodded and got down from the table before shaking his hand. "Thanks for this. El and I will talk things over."
After leaving the office, Elliot took her hand into his and kissed her cheek. "I told you not to worry. It was perfectly explainable." They both got into the car before Elliot started it. "What do you think about what he suggested?"
"I guess we could always try hormones." Olivia sighed as she buckled up.
"What'd you think about the fertilizing thingy?" Elliot asked as he pulled out of the clinic garage.
Olivia shrugged. "What do you think?"
Elliot looked over at Olivia and could tell she was lost. They hadn't ever been in this situation and it scared both of them a little bit. "I think it could be used as a last resort." He stopped at a stop light and looked at her. "What did you think?"
"I've always looked up to women who do the whole artificial insemination thing. I know that you are my husband and that it would be different. It's just, I don't want my child conceived in a petri dish." Olivia explained before looking at him. "It's weird and probably selfish, but I like wondering those few days before taking the test if I'm pregnant or not. I like our way of having kids."
"It's not weird or selfish." Elliot smiled lightly. He slipped his hand into hers. "I like it too." Olivia grinned and kissed his knuckles as he drove them home.
