2026- January

Olivia rubbed her hands with lotion as she walked out of the bathroom and into her room, seeing Elliot sitting up watching TV. After having a rough day at work, Elliot had punched a concrete pole and ended up breaking three of his knuckles. "El, honey, are you okay?

"No." Elliot huffed. "That sick son of a bitch got off because he killed our vic." He clenched his teeth together. "What's to stop him from raping another woman? We can't follow him around or put a warning out on TV."

"El, we will get him sooner or later." Olivia sighed as she walked over to him and straddled him, rubbing her hands against his chest. "He is being watched like a hawk now. Whatever he does will be put on record. We will get him."

Elliot looked at his wife for a moment before exhaling. "I guess. I just don't like putting a rapist back on the street." Olivia nodded in agreement. "Who was on the phone earlier?"

"Oh, uh, it was Casey. Kenny and his husband adopted a baby girl named Laura." Olivia smiled lightly running a hand through her hair. "I think I went deaf in my right ear for a couple minutes while Casey was squealing."

Elliot chuckled with a nod. "I would believe that." He put his hands on her hips and started rubbing them slowly.

Olivia raised her eyebrows at him. "El, we just brought you home from the hospital because you broke your hand. We cannot have sex right now. Besides, I want to talk to you about something."

"Can you talk about it while I'm disrobing you?" Elliot asked starting to pull at the strap of her nightgown.

Olivia giggled moving his hands back to her hips. "No." She pecked his lips and cupped his face in her hands. "I'm starting to think we may not get pregnant again."

"Liv, I know that we've been trying for a long time now, but the doctor said that it would be hard." Elliot sighed pulling her closer to him. "If we're meant to have another baby, we'll get another one."

"Well, I've been thinking... why don't we adopt?" Olivia asked with a shrug. "We have six kids of our own. Why not help out a child who is already out there and needs a home?"

Elliot stared at her for a moment as he thought it over. "I'm guessing you already have things set up if I say yes." Olivia grinned with a nod. He smiled shaking his head. "Okay, yes. I say yes. Let's try adopting a baby."

Olivia squealed as she hugged him. "Thank you! I love you!"

"I love you too, Liv." Elliot chuckled into her neck. When she sighed contently in his arms, he started kissing her neck.

"Elliot, you know what the doctor said." Olivia moaned as he started lifting the gown over her head

Elliot watched as her skin came into view inch by inch. "Yes, he said I shouldn't lean on my hand. So, you can either be on top or I can go in from behind." He moved the material of her panties out of the way before slipping a digit inside of her. "You don't want to listen to the doctor either." He grinned when Olivia pushed him onto his back and starting kissing down his chest.

April

"Daddy!" Summer yelled as she ran into her parent's house. "Mom! Anybody?" She turned into the living room when she heard the basement door open.

Elliot ran to his daughter and took her shoulders into her hands. "Are you okay? Are you alright? What happened?"

"Tara went into labor. Kendle and she are down at the hospital, in the delivery room, right now!" Summer explained before looking around. "Is Mom here?"

"Yeah, she's up in our room watching your show. I'll pull the car out." Elliot told her before hurrying to the basement door. "Eli! Oliver! Let's go!"

Summer ran upstairs and into her parent's room to find her mother crying watching the TV. "Mom? What's wrong?"

Olivia pointed at the TV. "How could you write that? That was horrible! Good writing, but horrible! How could you do that?"

"Cause I am paid to act and write things that will hook people." Summer chuckled and hooked her arms under her mother's. "We gotta go." She started pulling her mother out of the bed, dragging her across the floor when she didn't bother to get up.

"Why?" Olivia asked.

Summer lost her footing and fell back onto the carpet of the floor, giggling. "You are about to get another grandchild."

Olivia's eyes widened. "Then, why are we on the floor? Let's go!" She said before grabbing her daughter's hand and running with her outside to the car.

When they reached the hospital, they hurried to the front desk. Elliot spoke up. "Hi, we are here for Tara Stabler. She is having a baby today. Did she have it already?"

The nurse looked at her computer. "Yes, she has actually!" The nurse smiled. "Her room is number 429. She should be back in there now."

Olivia grabbed Summer's hand as they ran towards the hospital room. They stopped when they plowed down a male nurse, both blushing seeing how good looking he was, before entering the right room. Oliver looked up at his father. "Is Mom going crazy?"

"I'm not for sure yet. Let's just be cautious." Elliot said before leading his sons to the room. They walked in to find Kendle holding Mya in his lap while Tara held the new addition to the family.

"Hey guys!" Kendle grinned. "Welcome Matthew Joseph Stabler."

September

"I don't know why they wanted to see us. They just said they had a loose end they wanted to clear up." Olivia explained as she and Elliot walked to their agent's office. "Maybe she finally cleared our papers to adopt a baby."

"Let's hope." Elliot breathed before they walked into their agent's office. Their agent was a tall man, a little bigger around the torso, with red hair. He had a black suit on with a blue tie. "Victor?"

Victor looked up from his desk and smiled. "Hey guys! Sit down. I just have a few questions for you. It shouldn't take long."

Elliot let Olivia sit down before he did. "That's okay. What's it about?"

"Uh, your daughter, Summer." Victor said pulling a paper out of their file.

Olivia took Elliot's hand knowing that he was touchy about her. "What about her?" She asked squeezing Elliot's hand.

Victor showed them the paper. "Well, she was kidnapped. The agency just wants to know how it happened. You know, make sure that there wasn't any neglect."

Elliot's jaw clenched. "She was not neglected." He said trying not to sound threatening. "She was taken when she was less than a year old from her car seat in a grocery store."

"Were either of you with her when she was taken?" Victor asked writing things down on a office pad.

"I was." Olivia said clearing her throat, feeling it start to constrict. "I was on the phone with Elliot. We were talking about Summer because she was sick. I turned to grab a box of Kleenex and she was gone."

Victor nodded. "Okay, the report says that you two knew who took Summer."

Elliot rubbed Olivia's hand, trying not to rip the file out of Victor's hand. "Yes, he was a friend of ours from high school. He is in prison now. You talk to Summer. She does not blame us for it."

"I know she doesn't. I talked to her about it." Victor said raising his hands. "This is the final piece I needed. I should be able to file your papers next week and hopefully get clearance. You guys have a good shot. I'm sorry, but I had to ask."

Olivia nodded. "Are we done?" Victor nodded. Before Elliot could even stand up, Olivia had bolted from the room.

Elliot ran after her. "Liv? Olivia? Hey," He caught up to her to find her breathing heavily. "Hey, it's okay." He wrapped his arms around her. "Summer is fine. It wasn't your fault."

"What if we get a girl and it happens again?" Olivia asked into his chest.

"It won't happen again. Liv, Mike was lucky he got Summer without you seeing. It was a freak thing. Liv, we love Summer more than anything in the world and look at her. She has donated to the charities that we help sponsor. She is a successful writer who has won awards for her writing. Plus, she lives right down the road from us. We raised her right just like the rest of our little monsters." Elliot said looking into her eyes, cupping her face. Olivia giggled at his last statement. "Are you okay now?"

Olivia took a deep breath. "I'm better." She dropped her forehead to his. "Let's go home."

December

"Merry Christmas!" Olivia grinned pulling Zack into a hug. She hugged his friend, Jessica, before closing the door. "How was Mexico?" She asked referring to her son's trip to Mexico with all his friends.

"Good, interesting actually." Zack stated putting his hands into his back pockets. "Can I talk to you and Dad?"

Olivia nodded. "Yeah, we can talk up in your father's man cave."

Zack nodded and put a hand on Jessica's back. "Summer and Carmela are probably in the kitchen." Jessica nodded and walked into the kitchen.

After getting Elliot from the living room, they walked upstairs and entered the man cave. "What's up?" Elliot asked as Zack sat down on the coffee table. They sat down on the couch in front of him.

"Okay, just promise me you won't get mad." Zack said calmly.

"What did you do?" Elliot asked cautiously.

"Jessica and I... got drunk down in Mexico and I guess we got a little wild." Zack started before wiping his hands on his pants. "She's pregnant with my baby."

Olivia's jaw dropped. "Zack! What have I told you?"

Zack held up his hands. "I know! I know! I screwed up! Since Jessica and I have known each other for a couple years, her parents assumed we were dating. They are highly religious and now... I have to marry Jessica in order for them to help Jessica through college. Otherwise, they'll cut her off or they will send her somewhere else and I won't see my child. Jess and I are planning on getting married next weekend on the first. We were just going to go down to city hall. If you guys don't want to be there, I completely understand. If you kick me out right now, I completely understand. I just thought I would let you know."

"Zack, we are furious, but we aren't going to kick you out. You are our son." Olivia breathed rubbing his arm.

"Yeah, Kendle got Tara pregnant before they got married. Summer and William were pregnant in high school." Elliot explained.

"What?" Zack asked furrowing his eyebrows.

Olivia smacked Elliot's shoulder. "He didn't know about that!"

Elliot shrugged. "I didn't know! I wasn't here when it happened!" He looked back at Zack. "We will be there at the wedding, but you need to support your family. We aren't going to bail you out."

Zack nodded. "I understand. I just started my job as an accountant so I'm making good money. Jess is going to graduate this spring and then she has a job lined up. We are prepared financially, but not mentally."

"You are never prepared financially." Elliot said shaking his head. "You guys cost us money like I ate beef."

Olivia chuckled. "I think that's an overstatement." She kissed his cheek before looking at Zack. "So, are you two moving in together?"

Zack nodded. "Yeah, we've been looking at apartments. We aren't telling her family she's pregnant until we've been married for a couple weeks. We were just going to tell them it was a moment of passion and we wanted to get married right then and there."

Olivia nodded and couldn't stop the smile growing on her face. She hugged Zack. "You're giving me another grandchild!"

"Olivia, you aren't being a very good parent by showing discipline." Elliot laughed pulling his wife away from their son. "Congratulations though Zack!"

"Thanks Dad." Zack smiled before glancing towards the door. "I should probably get back down there." With that, he stood up and left the room.

Olivia looked after her son for a moment before speaking. "Are we bad parents?"

Elliot shrugged. "Probably. At least, they all are responsible about what they do. They have plans. We had Vegas." Olivia giggled putting her face into his chest. He frowned when he heard his phone start ringing in his pocket. He looked at the caller ID. "It's Victor." Olivia's eyes widened before he put it on speaker phone. "Victor, what's up?"

"Hey El! I got good news! I just got word back from my boss. He hasn't filed your papers yet, but he has approved you guys for adoption. It could be a couple of years before we find you a baby because of our list, but you guys are cleared to adopt." Victor grinned speaking to them.

"Really?" Elliot asked as Olivia grinned with tears in her eyes.

"Yeah, congrats to you! I gotta go though, I'm with my family. I just thought I'd call and tell you." Victor smiled.

Elliot nodded with tears in his own eyes. "Yeah, thanks! Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas to you too!" Victor grinned before hanging up.

Elliot hung up and looked at Olivia. "We are going to get a baby..."

Olivia grinned nodding her head. "We are going to get a baby!" She kissed him hard before chuckling. "I gotta go tell the kids! Do you want to tell them with me?" Elliot nodded before he ran with his wife downstairs.
