Hey! Who missed me? Kidding! Well sorry if I haven't posted in like three months. I decided to update my Outsiders story for a bit since a lot of people seemed to enjoy it. Plus I've been thinking of what to update for these last few chapters. Anywho... nobody voted for the ending yet so if you'd like to be part of that decision, Review or PM me A or B. Which ever gets the most votes is the winner. And no you don't get to know which ending's which. You'll find out at the last chapter. If nobody does then you guys get a crappy ending and I will make it terrible that you'll cry :P so please choose! Thanks so much! Love and all, AIR

P.S. You'll recognize some dialogue here. CREDITS GO TO FUNIMATION, AND TOGASHI!

Hiei and I stand silently next to each other as we watch Korisuishou appear without their capes and scarves.

"Looks like they made a costume change." Yusuke comments.

I stare up at the sky; it's already sunset. Hiei rips of the strip of band-aid on his cheek. He's been out of it since the fight with Natsuki last night. Now he wants to rip his head off.

We were taking a last moment walk in the forest enjoying the silence between the two of us.

We found an area surrounded by bushes and trees that it was practically invisible.

He and I say against the tree, me on his left. I know he was furious and anxious at the same time. Kori requested the finals to be held at night. And the committee agreed. I got the feeling that she hated me, but I don't know why.

"Will you be okay tomorrow?" Hiei finally said, after hours of silence.

"I'll be fine. It's a full moon tomorrow so I have a better chance of winning."

"That's not what I'm afraid of. What if you turning back into Yoko and fighting... Gets to you. What if Yoko decides to stay and I won't ever get to see my little Red?"

I nearly laughed at how cheesy that sounded. "That won't happen. I'm sure Yoko Kurama has killed demons before without me knowing."

"I know, but-"

I grabbed his hand and stared in his scarlet eyes. "Hiei, I'll be fine."

He looked like he didn't believe me. "And if you're lying to me," he pulled out a shining blue orb with a chain running through it. "here."

I held it out gently, watching it reflect light. "Hiei, I can't accept this. I admire our friendship and everything we've been through, but I'm not interested in you that way."

"You fool!"

"Relax it's a joke. I would suspect you as a guy that wears pearls."

"It's not a pearl, idiot. It's a stone. My mother's an ice maiden, meaning when they cry, their tears turns into stone. When she gave birth to me and Yukina, she shed two tears. One for me, one for her."

I smiled and laced the chain around my neck. "If it's important to you, why are you giving it to me?"

"Because you're important to me. And... And... Ummm... I..."

I have him a quick kiss. "I know. I love you too."

He grinned, but quickly frowned as we both heard footsteps. Hiei shot up and stepped out in the open. "The hell do you want?" I heard him growl.

I walk out to see one of the guys from Korisuishou.

"I just wanted some time to myself. But it seems like I got lucky."

I could feel the energy he emitted; it was stronger than anything I felt before. Hiei knew it too. If he wasn't leader and he was already this strong, Kori must've been hiding her true self.

"So, Jagan Master, why did you choose to protect the demon traitor?"

"Call him that again and your head is mine."

"Lets get real here, Hiei. Your little boy toy won't last long. He won't live to see the human world again." Natsuki smiled bitterly at me. "Isn't that right, Kurama?"

Hiei drew his sword and swung it towards his throat. A bright ray of light deflected the blade of his sword. Natsuki held a blade similar to the one Kori wielded.

"I hope this isn't your best. Because if it is, our fight won't last long." He swung back his sword in response. Hiei flipped back in front of me protectively. Natsuki licked the blood on his blade. To my surprise, he made a mark on him. "Need to be a little faster than that… Dragon Flame."

As he sheathed his sword, I observed that the light of the blade disappeared before it was in its sheath.

"Save your fight for me, okay?" Natsuki pulled the hood over his head and walked away.

"Damned fool." Hiei furiously wiped the blood off his cheek. "I'm going to kill him tomorrow."

"Hiei-"

"He's not going to get away with this." He growled, the outline of the Jagan glowing.

That was last night, and this is now.

"The committee decided to do things a little differently this year. They chose a team and whoever that is, they get to pick how the finals are fought." The fish-like demon named Juri says. "And that team is Korisuishou!" Roars explode as the team steps on the stadium.

Kori smiles at me before announcing, "We propose a battle royale!"

I feel Hiei's cold hand suddenly in mine. He's terrified. They've been trying to keep me from fighting and now, I have no choice.

"You homicidal bitch!" Yusuke yells. "Thy can't do that! We won last year!"

"Sorry Urameshi, but this year, we're ruling." Kori tells him.

"Kurama." I barely hear Hiei's voice from the screams of other demons. "I love you." Before I get a chance to return his words, my vision fades and the last thing I hear is his voice again. "Don't forget that."

Author's POV:

Hiei releases his grip from Kurama's hand as he transforms into Yoko. The entire stadium silences as the legendary demon appears. Kori's fist clenched, her hatred resurfacing.

A pair of cold golden eyes stares at her as she prepares to fight. "I've been wondering why you look so familiar to me." He spoke, stepping on the stage. "I thought they had killed you. But I was mistaken." He walks towards her, one step at a time. "And it was you that had it. All these years you're the keeper."

"I'll kill you once and for all Yoko. You're not going to live to see tomorrow." Kori unsheathes her sword. Her demon energy flourishes.

"And neither will you." Yoko gives her a grin that's all too familiar. It's the grin he gives worthy opponents.

"You guys are having way to much fun! BEGIN!" Juri steps back, not wanting to get in between the two demons.

"You have the first move, Kori." The rest of team Urameshi joins Yoko on the stage as well as the others of Korisuishou.

"He's all mine. No one come near him you hear! I'm the one that going to kill him."

Natsuki grins at Hiei tauntingly, his sword already drawn. Hiei reaches for the hilt of his blade, softly growling under his breath. The Jagan glows as his hatred rises. Kori grips her sword and charges towards Yoko.

The demon fox easily avoids all the swings. "Is this all you have? It's quite disappointing." Two roses forms between his fingers. "Aren't they beautiful?"

"Ironic how you think roses are pretty." She deflected the flowers, desperately trying to make a mark on the demon's body.

The stem of the rose slices past Hiei's cheek before landing on the grass. Hiei wipes off the blood, watching Yoko Kurama and Kori fight. "Be careful."

Kori skids back as a plant nearly bit her head off. "Damn I can't win like this." She throws her sheath and sword aside. Demon energy erupts from her as she unzips her jacket.

Natsuki feels the surge of energy, feeling familiar to his sense. Then it occurs to him. "Kori! Don't do it!"
