Disclaimer: I do not own Teen Wolf. The owners are currently on hiatus until June. Can it be June now?

Previously on the Green-Eyed Girl: The pack throws a party where they all get dosed with Wolfsbane, but no one knows why. Then they discover that Matt is the one controlling the kanima. See where all of this leads them.

The moment after the party ended, and they figured out who was controlling the kanima; Stiles, Kinley, and Scott all headed back to the Stilinski house. They knew it was best to tell Stiles' dad as soon as possible.

Stiles burst through the door and yelled for his dad to meet them upstairs. He then ran to his room and Kinley and Scott followed; all of them taking two steps at a time. A few minutes later, the sheriff or now just Mr. Stilinski walked in. Stiles was already sitting at his desk flipping through an old yearbook with Kinley and Scott at his sides.

"What now?" Mr. Stilinski whined. "I just made myself a burger." He told Stiles.

"That's bad for you." Stiles said and then waved it off. "Never mind, we know who the killer is." Stiles revealed and then finished flipping through their yearbook and pointed to a picture of Matt. "It's Matt. Matt Deahler"

"This kid's the real killer?" Mr. Stilinski asked as he looked skeptically at the photo.

"Yeah." Stiles replied.

"No." was all Mr. Stilinski said and then he started to walk away.

"Yes!" Stiles insisted.

Mr. Stilinski stopped, turned around, and crossed his arms. "No." He repeated.

"Dad, come on." Stiles replied and stood up from his desk. "Everyone knows the police look for ways to connect victims in a murder, okay. So all you have to do is, like, look through their transcripts and figure out which class they all had in common." Stiles explained.

"Yeah, except for the fact that the rave promoter Kara wasn't in Harris' class." Mr. Stilinski rebutted.

"Okay, you're right, I'm sorry." Stiles replied sarcastically and threw his hands in the air.

"Then I guess they dropped the charges against Harris?" Kinley asked.

"Why do you keep bringing her here?" Stiles dad asked his son and then Mr. Stilinski just ignored his own question and said "No, you know what? They're not dropping the charges. But that doesn't prove anything." He told Kinley and Stiles. He made sure to look at each of them to make his point. "Scott, do you believe this?" The sheriff asked.

Kinley was pretty sure that the sheriff hoped Scott was the sane one of the group and would be on his side.

"It's really hard to explain how we know this, but you just gotta trust us. We know it's Matt" Scott replied.

"He's the one who took Harris' car, okay?" Stiles said getting more frustrated with is father. "Look he knew that if a cop found tire tracks at one of the murders, and that if enough of the victims were in Harris' class, that they'd arrest him." Stiles explained.

"Alright, fine." The sheriff gave in. "I'll allow the remote possibility, but give me a motive." He told the three. "Why would this kid want most of the 2006 swim team and its coach dead?"

They all looked at each other. They really hadn't gotten to a motive yet. They just knew it was him.

"Isn't obvious?" Stiles replied and his dad crossed his arms waiting for an answer. Kinley was pretty interested as well since she had no clue. "Our swim team sucks! They haven't one in like 6 years..." Stiles replied and his dad just shook his head like he couldn't believe his son just said that. "Okay, we don't have a motive yet." He confessed.

"I mean does Harris have a motive?" Kinley asked.

Stiles dad looked liked he was done with all of them, and especially her and her annoyingly good questions.

"What do you want me to do?" Mr. Stilinski asked.

All three looked at each other again to figure out what they needed.

"We need to look at the evidence." Kinley answered.

"Yeah, that would be in that station, where I no longer work." The sheriff replied.

"Trust me, they'll let let you in." Stiles told his father.

"Trust you?" Stiles dad replied.

"Trust-trust Scott?" Stiles replied sheepishly.

"Scott I trust. You two..." He pointed to Kinley and Stiles. "No." He said then waved them to follow him out to the station.

The group walked into the station and the dark skinned deputy that was there the night Stiles and Derek broke in looked up at them like she did not need this right now. "It's 2 in the morning." She told Sheriff Stilinski as he walked up to the counter.

"Believe me, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't extremely important." He informed her.

She thought for a moment and then nodded her head and let them through.

"Thank you." The Sheriff told her and waved the kids to follow him. "Boys, Kinley."

"We look at the hospital stuff first, okay?" Stiles said to the two of them as they followed the sheriff back to his old office.

"Why?" Scott asked.

"Because all the murders were committed by Jackson, except for one, you remember?" Stiles replied.

"The pregnant girl, Jessica, yeah." Scott said to Stiles as he began to understand where Stiles was going with this.

"Since Matt had to kill her himself, somebody from the hospital could've seen him." Stiles explained.

They reached the Sheriff's old office and he told them to wait in there. Mr. Stilinski then went to gather all the surveillance tapes from the night of Jessica's murder. If Matt was there that night, hopefully he would have passed in front of one of the cameras.

Mr. Stilinski came back, tapes in hand, and then popped one of the tapes into the player and gestured for them to gather around him. He pressed play and they waited to see something helpful. They found a section of footage from a camera located in a hallway that Matt would have had to pass if he was going to get to Jessica's room. He should appear somewhere on that tape. They watched, but they were coming up with nothing.

"I don't know, guys." The sheriff said as they waited for Matt to appear on screen. "I mean look at this. There was a six-car pileup that night, the hospital was jammed."

"Alright, just keep going," Stiles urged his father.

"Look, he had to have passed one of the cameras on that floor to get to Jessica." Kinley stated. "He's gotta be on the footage somewhere.

Mr. Stilinski sighed and they kept watching and hoping Matt would appear.

The footage rolled on for a few more minutes when Scott spoke up, "Oh, hold on, stop!" Mr. Stilinski paused the video. "Did you see that? Scroll back." Scott told him and he rewound the footage.

The footage slowly moved back and all three of the kids zeroed in on Matt. He was there in his black leather jacket and hoodie. There was no mistaking that was him.

"That's Matt!" Stiles shouted.

"All I see is the back of someone's head." The sheriff replied.

"Yeah, the back of Matt's head" Kinley replied. The sheriff looked at her like that obviously was not helpful, which was true. They needed a better shot of the kid.

"I sit behind him in history." Stiles added. "He has a very distinct cranium." Stiles' dad gave his son the same look he just gave Kinley. "It's weird." Stiles mumbled as his father stared at him.

"Are you crazy?" Mr. Stilinski asked.

"Alright fine," Stiles replied. "Look at his jacket, huh? How many people do you know who wear black leather jackets?" Stiles asked his father. This time both Kinley and the Sheriff stared at Stiles like he was crazy.

"Millions, literally." The sheriff replied.

"Okay, can we scroll forward?" Kinley asked. "There's gotta be a shot of him coming at one of the cameras."

The sheriff scrolled the footage forward and Stiles stopped him a minute later. "Right there. Stop, stop!" He yelled. "See there he is again." He told his dad.

"You mean there's the back of his head again." Mr. Stilinski replied.

"Wait, wait, look, he's talking to someone." Kinley pointed out.

They all leaned closer to see who Matt was speaking to and all of them knew immediately who it was, especially Scott.

"He's talking to my mom." Scott said with a terrified expression.

Stiles and Kinley urged him to call his mother. The sheriff sat there and looked like he couldn't wait for this night to be over. Scott gave into Kinley and Stiles demands and dialed his mom's number. Luckily, she answered. Scott put her on speaker phone for everyone to hear.

"Oh Scott, good. I was hoping to hear from you. Are you coming home anytime soon?" She asked.

"No, mom, I'm at the Sheriff's station and I -"

"You are where!?" She yelled. " I swear to G-"

"No, no, mom, I'm here helping Stiles' dad. I need to ask you a question." He told her.

"Oh." She replied and her voice was more calm. "What?"

"I need to know if you remember seeing someone at the hospital the night the girl was murdered." He told her.

"Scott, do you know how many people I deal with in a day?" She replied.

"This one's 16. He's got dark hair, he looks like a normal teenager." Scott informed his mom.

"Yeah, he looks evil." Stiles added and over-emphasized the word evil.

"Scott, I already talked to the police about this." She replied.

"Mom, I'm gonna take a picture and send it to you." Scott said and then Stiles grabbed the yearbook and flipped the pages to Matt's picture. Scott then typed into his phone and forwarded the image to his mom. "Did you get it?" Scott asked.

"Yeah," Mrs. McCall replied.

"Do you recognize him? Do you remember him?" Kinley asked.

"Yeah, I did. I mean, I remember I stopped him because he was tracking mud in the hall." She answered. "Scott, what's going on?" She asked.

"It's -It's nothing mom. I'll explain later. I gotta go." Scott replied and then hung up the phone.

The sheriff then began rifling through papers and pulled out a file. "We've got shoe prints alongside the tire tracks at the trailer site." The sheriff informed them.

"And if they match..." Kinley began.

Stiles finished her thought. "That puts Matt at the scene of three murders. The trailer, the hospital, and the rave."

"Actually 4." The sheriff added. "A credit card receipt for an oil change was signed by Matt at the garage where the mechanic was killed."

"When?" Stiles asked excitedly like he knew the answer.

"Couple hours before you got there." The sheriff replied.

"So one's an incident, two's a coincidence, and three's a pattern, so.." Kinley began to say and the Sheriff gave her the strangest look.

"Are you sure you weren't raised by cops?" He asked her.

"Yeah." She replied and then began looking at files to make sure she didn't ask her anymore questions.

"So what's four?" Stiles asked his dad.

"Four's enough for a warrant." The sheriff told them. "Scott, call your mom back, see how quick she can get here. If I can get an official I.D., I can get a search warrant." Scott nodded in response and called his mom back. "Kinley, go to the front desk and tell them to let Scott's mom in when she gets here." He told her

"Got it." She replied and left the room.

She went out into the hall. When they walked to the sheriff's office earlier, there were a few still deputies walking around. Now the place seemed empty. She brushed it off, knowing it was after 2am and people would be going home. She walked out to the reception area and didn't see the female deputy. She approached the counter and said, "hello?" There was no response. She got closer and looked over the counter. She then had to hold back a scream. There, covered in blood, was the female deputy. She turned to run back to the sheriff and the moment she turned, Matt was there, holding a gun level with her face.

"Matt." She said and he shushed her and then grabbed her arm and threw her in front of him. He pushed her forward and kept the gun at her back. He led them back to the sheriff's office.

"Open the door." He told her and she did as she was asked.

He pushed her again, this time into the office. All three men in the office looked at her with terrified faces. Kinley moved and went to stand next to Stiles. He instantly grabbed her hand.

"Matt, it's Matt, right?" The sheriff asked and Matt nodded. "Now, Matt, whatever's going on, I guarantee you there's a solution that doesn't involve a gun." The sheriff tried to talk the kid down.

"You know it's funny you say that, because I don't think you're aware of just how right you are." Matt replied smugly.

He sounded different. Kinley was never a fan of Matt but nothing about him screamed serial killer. Now though, there was an edge to his voice like he was breaking and couldn't control himself anymore. He was scared but would never admit it. So instead, this creepy over-confidence had taken over.

"I know you don't want to hurt people," The sheriff told him.

"Actually, I wanna hurt a lot of people." Matt replied. "You four weren't on my list, but I could be persuaded. One way is to try dialing someone on your cellphone like McCall is doing."

They all looked at Scott who lifted his hands out of his pockets and put them in the air.

"That could definitely get someone hurt." Matt explained. "Now, everyone phones on the table." He told them. The sheriff was about to speak but Matt just yelled, "Now!" and they all put the phones on the sheriff's desk.

After the phones were out of their hands, Matt went and grabbed a pair of handcuffs off the wall. This made all of them nervous. He then led all of them out of the sheriff's office and to the lock-up.

The lock up was the same room that they had kept Isaac when they were accusing him of his father's murder. The same room Isaac pried the cell door off. The door had since been fixed. Other than the door, the space hadn't changed much. There was still just a desk on one side and a bench alongside the other wall with the cell in the right corner of the room.

"Stilinski, handcuff your dad to the wall." Matt demanded.

Stiles hesitated, but his dad nodded his head to let Stiles know it was okay. Stiles took the handcuffs from Matt's hands and walked over to his dad. His dad sat on the bench in front of the wall. On the wall, there was a small loop for the officers to lock suspects when they did not need to be in the cell. Stiles placed on of his dads wrists in the handcuff and attached the other handcuff to the loop on the wall.

"Tighter." Matt ordered.

Stiles looked at his dad again. "Do what he says, Stiles." His dad told him and Stiles followed the order.

Matt then led them out of the lock up, leaving the sheriff behind. He was leading them back to the office. As they walked back, they passed by another hallway that before was empty. This time it definitely wasn't. Kinley however wasn't prepared for what had become of the hallway since the few minutes they were in lock up. Three officers were lying dead, covered in blood. Their bodies were mangled and looked like someone had savagely torn them apart. Kinley almost wanted to vomit, but her anger at the unnecessary deaths overpowered that urge.

"What are you going to kill everyone in here?" She asked Matt angrily before she could stop herself.

"No, that's what Jackson's for. I just think about killing them, and he does it." He replied and then shoved them forward with the nose of the gun into the sheriff's office again. "I want every piece of evidence against me to be destroyed. Now!" Matt ordered.

The three of them looked at each other, and then walked over to the desk and began gathering the files. Kinley focused on Matt and tried to will his emotions about this to change, but there was some kind of block. She felt like none of her powers were working. She even tried to move a piece of paper across the table which she knew she could do and nothing. Did Matt know how to put up preventative charms? She really didn't think he would, but he definitely knew more about the situation than he let anyone believe.

Stiles passed files to Scott to shred while Kinley went on the computer and deleted all the digital files that had been made. As they deleted files Matt explained that everyone deserved to die because they had killed him before. Kinley had no idea what he was talking about, and at this point, she didn't care to know.

"Deleted." She told them. "And were done. And so Matt since all the people you brutally murdered deserved it because they killed you first-whatever that means-So, I think we're good here, right? We'll just get the sheriff and we'll go, okay? And you can continue your reign of vengeance with your little kanima buddy." Kinley told him.

As Kinley tried to get them released, a car pulled up. The headlights streamed through the window. Mrs. McCall, Kinley thought. No one was able to tell her what was going on. She was walking into a death trap.

"Sounds like your mom's here, McCall." Matt said to Scott.

Scott tensed. Kinley could tell he was controlling himself as best he could, but sooner or later Matt might push him over the edge. Kinley also knew Scott well enough that she knew he didn't want to kill Matt and so fighting to stay human was important at this moment. His wolf self wouldn't hesitate.

"Matt don't do this." Scott warned. His voice was dry and a little shaky. "When she comes to the door, I'll just tell her to leave. I'll tell her we didn't find anything. Please, Matt," He pleaded.

But it seemed his begging was for nothing because they heard the front door open.

"If you don't move…" Matt started and then laughed. "Now, I'm gonna kill Stiles first and then your mom." He threatened.

Someone knocked on the locked sheriff's office door.

"Open it." Matt told Scott.

"Please." Scott begged.

"Open the door." Matt said as slowly as possible to make sure Scott fully understood how serious he was.

Scott approached the door cautiously. He twisted the handle and then swung the door open. However, standing there was not Mrs. McCall, it was Derek.

"Oh, thank God." Scott said, but said it a little too early. The moment the words were out of his mouth Derek collapsed on the floor and revealed Jackson behind him. Jackson was not the full kanima ye, but Kinley could see the green scales forming and his eyes looked like those of a lizard.

Matt stepped over Derek and bent low to look at him more closely.

"This is the one controlling Jackson? This kid?" Derek asked and seemed thoroughly unimpressed. Derek had snark even when he was on his back, unable to move from the kanima's venom. The guy was tough.

"Well, Derek, not everyone is lucky enough to be a big bad werewolf." Matt replied. All three of teenagers faces dropped. Kinley was right, Matt knew a lot more than he was letting on. Matt turned to look at the three of them. "Oh, yeah, that's-that's right. I've learned a few things lately. Werewolves, hunters, kanima. It's like a frickin' Halloween party every full moon. Except for you, Stiles. What do you turn into?" Matt asked Stiles in a mocking way.

"Abominable snowman." Stiles retorted. "But, you know, it's more of, like a wintertime thing. Seasonal." The moment after Stiles finished his comments, the kanima swiped the back of his neck. "You bitch." He said as he fell right on top of Derek.

"No!" Kinley said and moved to help Stiles, but half kanima Jackson stepped in front of her and shook his finger in front of her face as a warning.

"Get him off of me." Derek growled.

"Oh, I don't know, Derek. I think you two make a pretty good pair." Matt replied, jokingly. "It must kinda suck, though, to have all that power taken away from you with just a little cut to the back of the neck. I bet you're not used to feeling this helpless." Matt mocked and leaned over Derek and Stiles.

"Still got some teeth. Why dont you get down a little closer, huh?" Derek replied. "We'll see how helpless I am."

"Yeah, bitch." Stiles added even though it didn't sound even remotely threatening.

Just then they heard another car approaching. This time it had to be Mrs. McCall. No one else would be arriving at the station this late.

"Is that her?" Matt asked Scott and stood back up away from Stiles and Derek. He looked at Scott and said, "You two do what I tell you to and I won't her hurt her. I won't even let Jackson near her."

"Don't trust him," Stiles muttered. His speech was muffled because he was still face down on top of Derek.

Matt grabbed Stiles angrily by the back of his shirt and pulled him off Derek and onto his back onto the floor. Now, Stiles and Derek were laying side by side. Matt placed a foot on top of Stiles' chest and pressed down.

"This work better for ya?" Matt asked and he increased the pressure on top of Stiles.

Kinley focused all of her energy on Matt to get him to move but nothing was happening. She had no idea why and she really wished she did because Stiles was no longer able to breathe.

"Stop!" She yelled.

"Then do what I tell you to." Matt demanded.

"Okay, okay." Scott agreed, but Matt kept pushing down on Stiles.

"Alright!" Kinley said too. "Now stop." She begged Matt. Matt gave her a cold stare and then released his foot from Stiles' chest. Stiles gasped for air and coughed a few times. Other than that, he seemed fine.

Matt looked at Jackson, "You watch these two in here," Matt said and pointed to Stiles and Derek. "And you two, with me." Matt said to Kinley and Scott.

Kinley and Scott followed Matt out to the front lobby of the station. There they saw Mrs. McCall walk in. She looked around for someone to tell her where she needed to go. It looked like she came from the hospital because she was still in her scrubs. Her back was turned looking down a hallway when Scott spoke.

"Mom," Scott said.

"Oh you scared me, where is every-" Mrs. McCall said as she turned around. She then stopped mid sentence when she saw the three teenagers, one holding a gun to the other two's heads.

"Mom, just do what he says. He promised he wouldn't hurt you." Scott informed her.

Mrs. McCall was speechless looking at the three of them.

"He's right." Matt said and Scott and Kinley turned around to look at him.

Then out of nowhere, Matt shot a bullet right into Scott's side. Scott fell to the floor and Mrs. McCall shrieked. Kinley covered her mouth out of surprise and fought every urge to attack Matt. Normally, she would have already, but she feared the kanima appearing and hurting Stiles or Scott's mom, which could not happen. As the gunshot went off, Kinley heard Mr. Stilinski shout all of their names and ask what happened.

"But I didn't say I wouldn't hurt you." Matt said to Scott who was on the floor. Matt had the gun still pointing at Kinley.

"Wait, baby." Mrs. McCall said as she forced herself not to cry. She ran to Scott but Matt stepped in between them.

"Back, back!" Matt yelled and pushed the gun at Mrs. McCall.

"Mom, mom, stop, mom." Scott said to his mother. Scott's breathing was uneven and he looked like he was in immense amounts of pain. Scott kept his hand pressed against the wound to stop the bleeding.

Kinley watched as Mrs. McCall fought every urge to move forward to help her son.

"I said get back!" Matt repeated with an even more threatening tone.

"Scott," Mrs. McCall said and Kinley could hear the voice crack as she fought tears.

"Mrs. McCall, please, do it. Scott will be okay." Kinley said.

"Please, mom." Scott added through his pain. His mom listened and stepped back.

"Get up, McCall." Matt ordered.

"Matt, Matt listen." The sheriff shouted from lockup.

"Shut-shut-shut up!" Matt yelled back and began to shake out of frustration. Kinley could see he was losing control. He couldn't handle this high pressure for much longer. "Everyone shut the hell up!" He screamed and the room went silent. "Now, get up, or I shoot her next." Matt threatened Scott's mom and Scott forced himself back to his feet with his hand still covering his wound.

Matt led them all back to the lockup and put Mrs. McCall in the empty cell. At least the sheriff and she were not alone for this, Kinley thought.

As Matt closed and locked the cell door, Mrs. McCall pleaded for him to let her look at her son. "Please, he needs to see a doctor."

"You think so?" Matt asked and gave a very creepy stare.

"Hey, hey you listen to me!" The sheriff yelled at Matt.

"Its alright. I'm okay." Scott said and got everyone to be quiet.

"No, honey, you're not okay." Mrs. McCall told Scott and she had finally given into her tears. Mascara was running down her face, and she had that look every mother gets when their child was in trouble. She looked helpless and alone. Kinley's heart ached for her. If she only knew what Scott was, she could at least feel a little better.

"It doesn't hurt mom." Scott explained.

"Cause that's the adrenaline, okay?" She replied and then looked at Matt again. "Please, let me-let me just take a look at him okay?" She begged. "I mean, I can help stop the bleeding."

Matt ignored and looked at Kinley and Scott. "They have no idea to they?" He asked the two of them.

"Please." Mrs. McCall interrupted. "Just let me take a look, I-"

Matt cut her off. "Shut-shut-shut-up!" He yelled and stopped talking. "If you keep talking, I'm gonna put the next bullet through his head."

"Okay," Mrs. McCall replied softly and then looked at her son.

"Back to the front, Wesson and McCall." Matt told them. Scott looked at his mother not wanting to go. "After you." Matt said and Kinley took the first steps knowing Scott couldn't leave, but he would follow her.

Matt brought them back to the Sheriff's office. Stiles and Derek were still on the floor and immobile. At least they were still okay. Kinley saw Stiles sigh with relief when the three of them walked in the door.

"The evidence is gone." Kinley told Matt. "Why don't you just let us go?" She asked the crazy boy.

"You-you think the evidence mattered that much, huh?" Matt asked her. "No, no, I-I want the book." Matt told her.

"What-What book?" She asked, and as she said, she realized exactly what he wanted.

"The bestiary." Matt answered and confirmed her thoughts. "Not just a few pages, I want the entire thing!"

"I don't have it." Kinley confessed. The moment they got what they needed, they handed it back so Gerard wouldn't know they had it. "That's not my family's book. It's Allison's. What do you want from it, anyway?" She inquired.

"I need answers." He replied and began to look a little scared.

Kinley wanted to get to why he caused a hostage situation at a sheriff's station. This was her chance. Something was making him desperate and making him no longer think about his actions. This is the time he would screw up. She watched him closely. He was getting fidgety and started pacing in the small space.

"Answers to what?" She asked and tried to sound calm like she could help.

"To this!" He yelled and then lifted up his shirt. His entire side was covered in green scales, just like the ones that were covering Jackson. Was Matt turning into a kanima as well? "Scott, which one is your phone?" He asked and Scott pointed to it on the desk. Matt picked up the at began searching through contacts. "Let's just see what happens when the boyfriend asks the girlfriend to bring the bestiary here. Let's say it's Derek who is threatening to kill them for it. That should solve some problems." Matt said and then sent a message to Allison.

Great, Kinley thought. Now the Argents would know where they were. Matt had no idea what he was bringing to him now. Him and the kanima alone would not be able to take on all of them.

"That's not a good-" Kinley started to say, but Matt pointed the gun at her and she stopped talking for a moment, but then just looking at Matt's desperate face made her continue."Matt, the bestiary might not have what you're looking for." Kinley told him and he lowered the gun. He was desperate enough for anything. She could possibly use this to get them out. "Let me see what I can find. There are computers that are unlocked in the other room. I know some places I could check for you." She told him.

Matt sent the text and then said, "Fine, you and McCall with me." He led them to the open office space where all the deputy's desks were. It was a large open room that just had 3 rows of 3 desks each. Each desk had a computer, a phone, and a light on it. Matt allowed Kinley to sit at one and begin to type. He sat over her shoulder, making sure she was looking up proper things and not calling for help. Kinley searched her usual places and wasn't coming up with anything new.

"This is useless," Matt said and pulled her up from the desk.

"Wait," Kinley said and Matt let her go. "Here look. It's not kanima specific, but it works. The world needs to balance itself," Kinley explained. "So when magic is used there are always consequence if the rules aren't followed. Kanima's kill murderers and that's all. So the moment you killed Jessica, you broke the rules because of the baby. And when you do that, magic has a way of making you pay. I think that your punishment is to become the kanima." Kinley informed him.

Matt read the passages she was looking at and then pulled her away from the computer. "No, I'm not becoming that thing. I am not the one who needs to be punished they are!" Matt said.

"Why? What happened?" Kinley asked. Matt walked away from Kinley and bent over a chair at a near by desk. He wouldn't look at either Scott or Kinley. "You drowned, didn't you?" Kinley asked. Kinley had been working on her theory for a while. Drowning was the only thing that explained the kanima's water issue and the fact that he wanted the swim team dead.

"He shouldn't have let them drink." Matt muttered.

"Who? Who, shouldn't have let them?" Scott asked.

"Lahey!" Matt yelled and turned back to face them. "He shouldn't have let them drink." He repeated.

"Who was drinking?" Kinley asked as calmly as she could. She wanted him to talk but not get angry.

"The swim team! You idiot!" He yelled. So that backfired on her, she thought. "I didn't know what was happening. I didn't know they had just won state, and Lahey, he's letting his favorites come over to have a couple drinks and celebrate. Who cares if they're 17, right?" Matt ranted.

"Where you at Isaac's?" Scott asked.

"He had this first edition spider-man...or was it batman? And we were gonna make a trade. But then I'm over there and I hear music. Everyone's having a good time and I see Sean. He throws Jessica in the pool. And then-and then Bennet goes in and-"

"Bennett? The hunter?" Kinley asked.

Matt nodded and kept talking. "And then Camden, Isaac's jarhead brother, he grabs me. He thinks it's funny."

"They threw you in." Scott said. Kinley now understood why he said that they were murderers. She saw the whole scene in her head. Matt in the pool drowning while they all laughed. It was like at Lydia's party when Matt freaked out.

Matt nodded again. "I yelled I can't swim, but nobody listens. I go under and I swallow water, and no one cares. I see their bodies underwater. I can see Jessica's got her hands down Sean's board shorts. Tucker's grabbing Kara and I'm drowning. I'm dying, and they're laughing. All of a sudden, I was just-I'm lying by the pool. And Lahey is right there, right above me and he says, 'You tell no one! This is your fault! You don't know how to swim? What little bastard doesn't know how to swim?! You say nothing. You tell no one. No one!' And I didn't. I didn't tell anyone. And I would see them at school, and they wouldn't even look at me."

Matt was losing his anger and tears started in his eyes, but he continued speaking. "I would wake up in the middle of the night and I'd gasp for breath. And my parents, they thought I was asthmatic. They-they-they-they even gave me an inhaler. They didn't know that every time I closed my eyes, I-I was drowning."

He paused for a moment, and Scott and Kinley looked at each other, not sure what to do. He seemed to be re-living all of those moments in his head. Before Kinley or Scott could say anything, he spoke again.

"You know that little white light they talk about, you see when you die?" He asked. Scott and Kinley remained silent. "Well, I didn't see anything. Just darkness. Everything was dark." He sounded like he was done and there was even a twinge of sadness in his voice but then it abruptly changed. "But then-then the Argent's funeral, and everything changed." His voiced returned to how it sounded the entire night with a slightly psychotic tone and even little bit of amusement. "I was taking some photos. And then purely by accident, Lahey gets in one of the photos. I look down at the screen on my camera and I just had this unbelievable rage that filled up inside of me and I just-I look at him, and I-I wanna see him dead. And the next day he actually was. You know Einstein was right. Imagination is more important than knowledge. It was something like out of Greek mythology. Like-like the furies coming down to punish Orestes."

Kinley knew what Matt was talking about, but Scott looked confused.

"You have no idea what I'm talking about, do you?" Matt asked Scott.

"Was he the guy who stabbed out his eyes?" Scott guessed.

"God! That's Oedipus, you dumbass!" Matt yelled.

"The furies are deities of vengeance." Kinley explained, and Matt looked at her without any surprise in his face. He knew that she was a hunter, and she would know this.

"Go ahead explain, hunter girl." Matt said.

"It is said their tears run of blood and they had hair made of snakes. If there was a crime that went unpunished, the furies would take it upon themselves to do the punishing. But that's not-" Kinley tried to explain but Matt cut her off.

"Jackson is my fury." Matt told them.

"That is not how it works!" Kinley yelled at him. "You don't get to decide!"

Matt ignored her. "You know when I saw him the next night, it was like this bond cemented between the two of us. I knew he killed Lahey for me, and I knew he would do it again. So I went to Tucker's garage. I even paid for an oil change. And guess what? He didn't even recognize me. So when he wasn't looking, I took a shot of him with my camera. And in a few hours, he was dead. So I took more pictures. All I had to do was take their picture...and Jackson would take their life."

"Matt," She said to get his attention. He looked at her. "If you know the legends of the furies then you know, their justice was not always considered righteous."

"Righteous, this coming from some other abomination. What are you? I still haven't figured that out. I know you're more than just a girl who learned to fight monsters. I saw what happened when Erica had that seizure and how you made it stop. There has to be more to you." Matt said and then began to look her up and down. "What are you?" Matt asked and then pressed the gun to her head. "Tell me!"

"I don't know!" She yelled.

"Liar." He replied.

Kinley tried again to focus her energy on the gun. She knew her emotional powers weren't working, but maybe she could move the gun. She saw it turning in her head, and suddenly, the gun started moving.

"What's happening? What are you doing?" Matt demanded.

But before and one could do anything. The room went pitch black and sirens started.

"What is this now!?" Matt yelled.

"I don't know." Scott replied.

Kinley couldn't see anything. She turned to look out the window behind them and saw a fleet of SUVs. Now she knew. The cavalry was here, and by calvary, she meant the Argents were here to mess things up further. Rapid gunfire suddenly started through the window, they were facing. The glass shattered into the room and Kinley dropped to the ground and crawled to a nearby desk to shield herself from gunfire. The gunfire stopped abruptly, and Kinley started to crawl out from under the desk. She could see somewhat now that the windows had been blasted out by gunfire. Light from the headlights of the SUVs streamed in. But the next thing she knew, the room was filling with smoke and she lost all sight again. The Argents must have thrown smoke bombs.

Kinley scrambled to her feet and ran to the Sheriff's office for Stiles. When she got there, she saw Scott already in the room hoisting Stiles onto his back. "Go," She told them as they got to their feet. She knelt down next to Derek. All she wanted to do was follow Scott and Stiles, but she knew she would be useless if she was worrying about Stiles. For all she knew now, Stiles was being carried to safety by Scott.

"Hey Derek, how are you? Can you move?" She asked.

"I'm almost there." He replied. "Why aren't you following your boyfriend?" He asked her.

"You know the answer to that." She said and Derek nodded.

She helped him to his feet, and they stumbled out into the hallway of the Sheriff station. The place was still dark and the only light in the hallways was a spinning yellow light that was used for emergencies. As she dragged Derek toward the lockup to get the Sheriff and Mrs. McCall, he began to regain movement. Once they were outside the door, he was holding himself up completely.

They entered the room, and Derek ran and ripped the handcuff off the wall. Kinley indicated to him to rip off the door next, but a loud hiss distracted them. Then Matt came out of nowhere and punched the Sheriff so hard, it knocked him out. Matt took his next swing at Kinley, but she ducked and then punched him in the stomach. He fell on the ground with a hard thud. Next Kinley and Derek turned around and saw Jackson standing in the doorway. He was no longer part Jackson part Kanima. He was all kanima.

Derek transformed into the wolf and lunged for the creature, but the creature was too fast and dodged Derek's attack. Derek quickly got back to his feet and went for the kanima again. Derek was faster this time. He got the kanima by the shoulders and threw him into the desk. The kanima tumbled over the desk and hit the wall behind it. The kanima then leaped onto the desk and jumped at Derek. Derek took a direct hit and slid back into the wall opposite of the desk. Derek had hit hard and didn't get up as quickly. Kinley knew some of her telekinetic ability was back, so she put her arms up to push the kanima back from Derek. It didn't go flying as usual, but Kinley could see it struggling from the opposing force. Derek eventually got to his feet, and then Kinley fell from exhaustion. She saw Matt was still conscious, and he noticed that she was weak and went for her. She rolled out of the way and Matt missed her. Matt hit the floor where she was, and she grabbed his shoulder and turned him over. This time it was her foot on his chest.

"How do you like it?" She asked and pressed into him harder. "This is what happens when people hurt my friends." She said.

"Kinley," She heard, and she turned toward the voice. It was Scott. "Don't." He said. He was a complete wolf at that time. Kinley looked over to Scott's mom and saw his mother's face drop. The woman was terrified of her own son.

Matt saw her hesitation and used it to grab her ankle and twist it. She fell to the floor with a gasp of pain. Matt crawled away and got back to his feet and ran out of the room. Kinley wanted to go after Matt, but Derek was up against the wall with kanima on top of him. All the rage of seeing Matt escape filled her, and she used it to throw the kanima off of Derek. It flew across the room and slammed into the wall above the desk. It fell to the floor and then scurried off.

Kinley looked at Scott. He told her to stay here and check on Derek. She nodded, okay, not knowing what she might do if she ran into Matt. Derek was on the floor in the corner to the left of the cell. He was bleeding but he was conscious. She helped him up, and he said he wanted to follow Matt. Who was she to say no to that request? As she followed Derek, she realized that her anger was getting the best of her. She shouldn't deal with Matt right now. She would regret whatever she did. Instead, she followed Derek in hopes of getting to Stiles. That's where she needed to be.

Derek and Kinley were headed down a hallway, when Derek threw up a hand and stopped her. She then heard what Derek heard moments before. It was Scott and Gerard talking. Derek and Kinley both hugged the wall and listened.

"What are you doing here?" Scott asked Gerard. "It wasn't supposed to happen like this."

"Trust me, I'm aware of that." Gerard replied.

"I've done everything that you've asked of me. I'm part of Derek's pack, I've given you all the information that you wanted, I told you Matt was controlling Jackson-" Scott ranted.

"And leave him to us." Gerard told Scott. "Help your friends. Leave Matt and Jackson to me. Deal with your mother. Go." He told Scott.

Scott must have listened to him because the conversation stopped and Kinley heard footsteps and then saw Scott pass the hallway Derek and she were in.

"Oh, you dropped this." She heard Scott say. He bent down and picked up something small. Kinley couldn't see what it was. He then handed it back to Gerard and headed back to deal with his mom.

The moment the hallways was clear, Derek and Kinley made their way to their destinations. Derek took a left and headed out of the station, and Kinley took a right to find Stiles. She first headed toward the Sheriff's office, but then remembered Scott moved him. She then followed a series of broken down doors, that she thought Scott must have locked behind him as they ran to keep one step ahead of the kanima. At the last broken door, she entered the room and looked around. All she saw was a tipped over chair.

Images of Stiles being dragged out by the kanima flashed across her mind. Images of him screaming and fighting for his life were on a continuous loop. She tried to shake herself out of it. Scott would not have left him in an unsafe place. He was fine, she repeated over and over in her head.

She then looked over to right corner of the room and saw another broken door. It was opened just a little. Kinley remembered that this door led to the hallway that took a person to the lock up. She went through it, and saw someone lying on the floor with their head down head down. She noticed Stiles red hoodie. It was Stiles. She ran to him and flipped him over. She heard a slight yell as she did so.

"Oh God it's you." Stiles said. Kinley bent down and wrapped his arms around her neck.

Kinley felt something move on her back. "ah,"She yelled.

"Sorry, that was me. I can move. I was just playing paralyzed in case it wasn't you." He told her and then squeezed her as close to him as possible. Kinley relaxed into his arms.

"Never scare me like that again. I thought-I thought.-You weren't in the room and the chair was-And I thought-" She could even say the words.

"I know." He said and ran his hand through her hair. "Same to you, okay?"

She nodded and then rested her chin on his shoulder. They sat there for a moment and then Stiles pulled away.

"Where's Scott?" He asked.

"Dealing with his mom. She saw him transform. She knows." She informed him.

He nodded. "And my dad?" He asked and seemed scared to hear the answer.

"Okay. He got knocked out by Matt before the fray, but he's fine." She told him.

Stiles relaxed after hearing that. He got up and pulled her with him, and they headed over to the lockup where Scott should be. They walked in and Scott and Mrs. McCall were standing over Stiles' dad. The minute Stiles entered the room and saw his dad on the floor, he ran to his side.

"Don't worry Stiles. It's just a bump on the head. You should just get him home to rest and he should be fine." Mrs. McCall told him.

Scott and Stiles slung Mr. Stilinski over their shoulders and the group made their way out the door. More police cars were arriving as they limped out of the station. However, the cars were not where Kinley expected them to be. Kinley thought they would be greeted by the whole fleet of deputy cars at the entrance, but there were only a few in front of the station. The rest were by the bridge next to the station. A small river, more of stream, ran by the sheriff's station. There must be something in the water Kinley thought.

Kinley told the boys to get the sheriff into Stiles' jeep and take him home. She was going to look into what just happened. Stiles didn't even fight her on the plan because he was too worried about his father. Kinley left the four of them and went up to the bridge. She found a spot behind one of the cars to hide. There she watched as they pulled a body out of the water. At first, Kinley couldn't tell who it was. Then they flipped them over and placed them on the gurney. It was at that moment Kinley recognized them. It was Matt. Someone had drowned Matt in the river while they were scrambling inside the station, and Kinley knew exactly who it was. She thought back to Scott's conversation with Gerard and how Gerard said he would deal with Matt and Jackson.

"Hey!" Someone said from behind her. Kinley turned and saw a deputy standing over her with is arms cross. "This is a crime scene, you're not allowed here."

Kinley stood back up. "Sorry Officer, I'll just go then." She told him.

Kinley then tried to walk passed him but he grabbed her arm.

"You're lucky, Chris told us not to hurt you or you could have been in a mess of trouble." The deputy said.

Kinley tugged her arm away and left the scene.
