My Journey To Gravity Falls

Chapter 8

'How does this thing know?' I asked myself wondering. Suddenly, I heard a sound from behind 'Could it really be?' I asked myself. "Hello? Anyone?" asked a familiar voice, I knew whose voice was it, it was Emma's voice. "Emma?" I replied. "Dan?" she answered. "Yes," I said "it's been a long time." I started walking towards the voice. "Yes indeed." She said. "How did you get here?" I asked as I kept walking. "I have no clue." Emma replied. "Hm, okay, where are you right now?" I asked. "Here…" She said. "God damn it, where is here?!" I asked. "HERE, YOU MORON!" She said as she punched me in the head. "Ohhhhhhhhhh," I said "Why didn't you say so?" she hit me again. "Cut it out!" I told her. "Fine." she said. "Now, we need to find a way to get out of here..." I said. "Yeah." she said nodding. "Eh, Emma, about the kiss...-" I said as Emma cut me "-What kiss?" she asked. "Oh, nevermind. I was a bit confused." I said. "Okay then." She said. I looked around, and suddenly saw a little light. "Emma! Look, over there!" I said pointing at the point. "C'mon! we need to go check what it is." she replied "Comin'" I said.

"FINALLY! WE DID IT!" I said as we finally got out.

"Yeah, that's great, but, where are we?"

"I don't know."

"Well, that's great."

"I think we should go this way." I said pointing to north.

"Okay."

We started heading north, after about an hour, I started to see familiar places.

"Look! the shack is right there!" I exclaimed.

"What is the shack?"

"I forgot, you don't watch Gravity Falls."

"Yeah..."

"Just, follow me." I said as I started heading towards the shack.

"Dan!" Dipper exclaimed.

"Emma!" Mabel exclaimed.

"Oink" Waddles exclaimed.

Then, we all started to laugh.

"Where were you?" asked Dipper. "I'll tell you later, right now, all I want is to eat, I'm freakin' starving."

"Okay, lunch is on me!" said Dipper.

"I'll help you." said the brunette girl.

"Thanks." said Dipper.

"No problem." she answered.

"Lunch's ready!" the twins yelled.

"Yay!" I exclaimed.

"Finally." said Emma.

We went to the kitchen, but when we got there we were surprised to see what expected for us. It was no other than 'The Thief'. "You!" I said "So you are the one who's responsible to this, aren't you?" He simply nodded, and then, disappeared. I then understood, that I can trust no one but myself now, and I also understood that, he

was the one responsible to my arrival. Now, it's time for me to find my way back. I went up and opened my bag, searching for my notebook. I opened it, and wrote 'If anyone sees this, I'm at Gravity Falls, I know that sounds like a prank, but it isn't, if you got here too, beware from The Thief.' After that, I simply closed it and went down with my bag. "Emma." I called. "Yes?" She replied. "There's something I need to tell you about..." I said. "What is it Dan?" she asked. "Well, we need to come back." I answered. "Why?" she asked, not understanding the danger in staying at Gravity Falls. "Because, it's dangerous to stay here, there are a lot of weird and evil creatures here." I replied. "Ah, fine, I guess you're right." she said. "Now, to Book number three!" I exclaimed.

"Not this, no, not that one. Not this one either. Ugh! I can't find it!" I said. Then, I flipped another page. "Yes! I found it!" I exclaimed happily. I started reading about it, about the portal to earth. 'Only one person can enter it each... thousand years' it said, that's when I realized, that it's time to sacrifice for the one I love. I kept reading, then at the end of the page, it finally said where it is, The Dark Side Of Gravity Falls. I knew it's going to be dangerous, but I also knew that it's my only hope to save Emma. So I packed everything we needed, and took a map, I found one in the book. I called Emma then, but she didn't answer, I suddenly noticed there was a note on her pillow. I took it, and started reading it. 'Dear Dan, I am sorry, but, I ran away, I know it's dangerous, but I want to stay here, so I went to The Dark Side Of Gravity Falls, please, do yourself a favor, and go home, leave me here, I was meant to be here, your family is worried about you, but I don't have one. I think it's time for us to say "Goodbye" and let go. Love, Emma.' As I kept reading the letter, I started crying like I never did before. I was in a big dilemma now, to listen or not to listen. I thought about it for hours, then, I made my decision, it's time to let her go. Like my mom used to tell me when I was little "If you love something, let it go." I started walking towards the portal. It was a long trip, I knew that it'll probably take a few days minimum. So I started walking, I decided to leave, with no note, no saying goodbye, I decided that I'd let them figure it out alone.

Emma's POV

Maybe I shouldn't have left him alone, I thought to myself, maybe I should have listen to him. But now it's too late for that, I have the life that I always wanted to have, I have what I always dreamed of, but it still feels so empty. I don't know why, or at least that's what I want to think. I started collecting myself some food, and came back to the cave I live in now, my new house, I could say.
