"What the fuck do you mean "my brother"?" Sasuke asked in disbelief.
"Just that, he is your brother, your sibling, your own kin, flesh of your own flesh, however you may want to call it." Hiroaki said. Sasuke clenched his teeth as he thrust his sword to impale him, but he jumped out of the way.
"Be careful, he utilizes some weird body controlling jutsu. Whatever you do, do not let his sickle touch you." Sakura said while helping Kakashi up.
"Hey teme, doesn't he remind you of someone?" Naruto asked with a confident smile.
"Hnn..." Sasuke responded without turning to look at him.
"Yeah remember that guy with the sick triple scythe, he turned into that creepy skeleton with his voodoo shit." Naruto rambled on forgetting about their task at hand. "And his partner was even creepier, what the hell was he some sort of rag doll?"
"Dobe, shut- UP!"
Hiroaki had been slowly trying to back away from them while they were distracted yelling at each other, but he bumped into a large sand wall that towered over him.
"You are not going anywhere." Gaara said with a hand raised forward.
"Sorry, but I have other things planned." Hiroaki said with a smirk as he formed a tiger seal. "Yogoretachi: Bakuhatsu!*" Mamoru's body, which was lying right next to them, once again started to violently thrash around, but this time instead of standing up it started to swell up rapidly.
"Oh shit, MOVE!" Naruto yelled frantically as he jumped away. The other two Jinchuriki barely reacted in time to avoid the gruesome explosion. Sasuke was the first to look up, he scanned the area for their enemy, but he had already disappeared.
"He's crafty, I'll give him that." Naruto said as he stared at the now scorched area they had been standing on only seconds ago.
"Hnn..." Sasuke "said" as he stood up and swiftly sheathed his sword. "We're done here, let's go." He said emotionlessly as he turned to look behind him. He only briefly skimmed through their glances, but without knowing it his eyes stayed focused on Sakura's gaze for a little longer than they should have, before he looked away and started walking.
"Well, let's go Gaara. Don't worry Sakura, Hinata will be here shortly, she just had to take care of some business."
Meanwhile on a nearby clearing
"Go for the girl, she'll be easy to capture, she won't try to fight back. Pure bullshit!" Said a woman that was currently hanging upside down on a branch.
"Oh just shut up!"
"What do you think you're doing?" Sakura asked with slight anger in her voice.
"Walking." Naruto said without stopping nor turning to look at her.
"I won't let you go so easily." She said menacingly.
"As if you could stop us." Sasuke said while briefly turning to smirk at her. She was about to say something more to them but in the blink of an eye they disappeared into the forest.
"Damn it!" She said under her breath. A small grunt from Kakashi turned her attention back to her former sensei. There was a large gash on his side, which had soaked his clothes and the ground with blood. "Don't move, I'm going to stop the bleeding." Sakura carefully layed Kakashi down on the grass under the shade of a tree and lifted his shirt, exposing the wound. She positioned her hands above it and the green chakra soon started to flow out of her hands.
"S-Sakura?" She heard her name being called, and when she turned around she saw Hinata shyly walking towards her.
"Hinata! You're back!" She broke her medical jutsu for a few seconds, but it was enough to make Kakashi grunt again. "Oh right, sorry. Hinata, could you pass me some bandage from my pack, please?" Said girl nodded softly before kneeling down to search through the bags that lay against the tree. She took out a small white roll of neatly packed bandage and extended it towards the other girl.
"ArigatÅ!" She responded while carefully helping Kakashi sit up. She brushed off some dirt on his back before she actually started to wrap the bandage around his torso. She was trying to focus as much as she could on the task at hand, but the questions rushing through her head were too much for her.
"So... Where have you been, Hinata?" She said trying to sound casual while wrapping the bandage.
"I-I was with N-Naruto-kun in a cave somewhere i-in the desert." She said while a small blush appeared on her cheeks.
"I assume that Sasuke and Gaara were also there with you." She said with slight discomfort in her voice.
"S-Sasuke only came y-yesterday afternoon, before that it was only N-Naruto-kun and Gaara." Hinata said, her stare slowly rising towards the sky while she remembered.
"Oh okay, and did you guys talk much?"
"N-not really, when w-we were eating everyone remained quiet, even N-Naruto-kun. But then he and Sasuke s-started talking about the kidnappers and how t-they want to help us catch them. They kept yelling a-at each other until a shinobi from the sand, I think her name was M-Matsuri, came to tell us that you had already left Suna. It was then that S-Sasuke started acting weird." Hinata said.
"Weird how?" Sakura asked intrigued, still wrapping the bandage around Kakashi.
"W-well, first he looked... Offended, when Matsuri s-started talking about you." When Hinata said that Sakura gave a significantly tighter tug on the bandage, making Kakashi let out another groan of pain.
"What was Matsuri saying?" Sakura asked while death-gripping the bandage.
"N-nothing important." She said while she frantically waved her hands in front of her. "Anyways, h-he ran out of the door right after M-Matsuri told us you were gone."
"There, all done." Sakura said as she secured the bandage and lowered Kakashis shirt over it. "But you do need to rest, we should probably be heading back to the village."
"W-wait! What about the k-kidnapped shinobi?" Hinata asked with concern in her voice.
"We can't risk running into anymore enemies. We barely got out of the last fight, and that was with the help of... Them. Sorry Hinata, but we will have to come back another time."
"Don't worry, we'll take over from here." They heard a voice call out from the other side of the clearing. When they looked up they saw a squad of Sunagakure shinobi landing right in front of them, with Temari standing in front.
"Spread out and find the hideout, rescue any hostages you find inside, eliminate any hostiles. And you three," she turned to look at Hinata, Sakura, and Kakashi as the other shinobi ran off, "Get him patched up and go back to your village, your job here is done." And then Temari ran off with the other shinobi, leaving them alone.
"We'll have to stop at the town, we need to pick up some supplies and I need to take a nap." Sakura said as she carefully picked up Kakashi on her back. "Uff, Kakashi, you need to stop eating so much."
"Just... go." He responded with a slightly weakened voice.
"Do you think they will be alright?"
"Yeah, even though Kakashi-sensei is injured Sakura and Hinata are still strong enough to defend themselves."
"Hnn. Come on, Kirigakure is still 10 days away on foot, at the very least. Let's get a move on."
"Ahh Teme, you always get so impatient. You're like an old hag."
"Don't worry, my sand can take us there much faster."
"Let's go. We don't want to keep him waiting."
