Two Chapters in the same day? :O
Okay, first of all, I would like to apologize about my last AN, it was rude of me. I'm really sorry. It was 3 am and I was exhausted. I'm sorry.
Here is why I didn't update:
1. I was busy during the last bit of summer. My mother wanted to spend time with me and stuff.
2. School started and I couldn't catch my breath since.
3. I lost inspiration because I have not seen POTO in a long time.
4. I'm writing other things. I'm trying to write a book..and...yeah. (Update 2019: A book I never finished. lol)
So I'm sorry, I'm so sorry I hope this makes up for it?
Disclaimer: I'm Steven Moffat! Alright..no I'm not. And I do not own either of these. ;-;
"It's John!" Rose whispered to Clara, "before my father died, I guess you could say we were childhood sweethearts. He called me "Big Bad Wolf." Mother hated him, but father loved him." She continued to stare at him lovestruck.
Clara looked at her friend in shock and sadness. She knew how the Doctor felt about Rose and now with this "Dr. John Smith," it will be hard to win Rose's affections now. "Rose, he's so handsome." was all she could say to her friend. It was true. He was definitely a looker, plus he was a proper Doctor. he almost seemed like a dashing hero from one of the Operas they've performed. He could make a woman swoon with a wink but become an oncoming storm to his enemies with a glare.
"I am honored to support all the arts," John said with a hint of a Scottish accent slipping through "Especially the world-renowned Opera Tardis! This place is beautiful!" He pointed to the design that was sculpted around the stage and hurried over to it. "no, is that? Is that gold carved into the wood? Stunning!" he sniffed and all but pressed his nose to the carving as he breathed in deeply, "Mistletoe rubbed into the wood? Fantastic! You know the Queen of England's late husband did that at..." he trailed off and cleared his throat, "Anyways, this is honestly brilliant! Moi Bien!"
"Thank you, sir. We take pride in its appearance." Mr. Owens nodded, trying to not appear baffled by his odd behavior. He then gestured to Amelia and beckoned her closer, "Gentlemen, may I introduce Ms. Amelia Pond, our leading soprano for five seasons now."
Everyone clapped, as she bowed and flashed him a flirty wink. John cleared his throat awkwardly but gave her a small smile in return.
"And Mr. Rory Williams." Owens continued, gesturing to the man standing by Amelia, glaring daggers at John for having his wife's attention. He wrapped his arm around her waist in a protective and possessive way to tell him to back off.
"Hi, Son!" Brian Williams greeted him, with a wave.
"Father, I did not realize this is what you meant when you said, "Wilf and I got a new business venture," Rory said awkwardly, glancing at Amelia embarrassed.
Brian shrugged, "I can see every show now." flashing them his small smile and turned back to Grieg.
John shook Rory and Amelia's hands with a giant grin on his face, "Brilliant to meet you! But I believe I'm keeping you from your rehearsal!" He looked at the conductor, Mr. Christopher Neuf. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." He then turned to everyone. "I will be here this evening to watch what I'm sure will be, a magnificent show!" He walked off, not even sparing Rose a glance.
"He wouldn't recognize me," Rose said sadly, watching him go.
"He didn't see you" Clara reassured her, wrapping an arm around her in a comforting hug.
Rehearsal continued like this. They practiced and Amelia had a fit that everyone was more interested in the dancing than her. She even threatened to leave the Opera altogether. But the new owners convinced her to sing her solo for them.
As she got into place, Mr. Williams looked at Mr. Owens and asked, "So why are you retiring?"
"My wife Sophie, is pregnant, and I don't want her to be alone." He replied, grinning. Pride and happiness shining in his eyes.
"Ah." he nodded, looking at Rory "I can understand that."
Amelia shot them a glare and they quieted."Mr. Neuf." She said to the conductor. "I am ready."
"I'm sure you are." He rolled his eyes. He lifted his arms and the orchestra began to play a lovely melody.
Amelia began to sing;
"Think of me, think of me, fondly
When we've said goodbye
Remember me once in a while
Please promise me you'll try
When you find that once again
You long to take your heart-oof!"
She got interrupted by a bit of a background falling next to her, nearly crushing her!
Clara looked up and saw a flash of white and let out a sigh and a shake of her head.
"It's him! It's the Doctor!" Martha Jones, a fellow ballerina, exclaimed. Fear and couriostiy shinging on her features.
"Oh, I'm going to kill him." Clara grumbled to herself.
