I glanced sideways, watching the teenage girl sitting on the couch perpendicular to mine. Her sea blue eyes were staring distractedly at the TV, a frown gracing her profound features. Her blonde hair was pulled up into a high ponytail, bringing out the sharp curve of her jaw.

Music was blasting through the speakers, loud enough to fill the awkward silence between my guest and I while allowing me to study her thoroughly at the corner of my eye without her knowledge. Something about her being in my house made me uneasy, especially since her presence was a surprise and completely unwelcomed.

She did lash out at me back at James' and now, a couple of days after my boyfriend's outbreak, she just appears at my front door, saying absolutely nothing as awaited for the permission to be let in. The idea of slamming the door in her face did cross my mind but the guilty look in her eyes broke through my evil demeanour.

Partially because she's Blood Eyes' sort-of-sister. Or you would've done it. If Electrike had its own physical body, it'd be sneering at me for my obvious weakness. I rolled my eyes and ignored the inner voice, instead turning my attention back to the blue-eyed blonde.

"Why are you here, Allie?"

The little girl finally looked at me before her gaze fell onto her lap. She shifted nervously. "Uh, Shane gnawed me out for being a huge bitch towards you the other day and demanded that I came over and apologised." She sighed and propped her legs up as she leaned backwards, still refusing to look me in the eye. "He says I'm old enough to know how to act in front of strangers without him telling me prior."

I nearly snorted. "How old are you?"

"13."

"Ah.." For a second, I nodded along. Then it hit me. The first time I heard about Allie, she was 10 or 11 years old, as stated in one of the articles Logan and Carlos shoved in my face back when I just met James. "Wait, aren't you supposed to be, like, 12?"

Her head snapped sideways as she stared at me in disbelief. She cleared her throat and chuckled awkwardly. "11, actually," she admitted, a small blush spreading across her cheeks. "According to Dad, he changed my name to Allie after she died. I was supposed to act like her for him, because he missed her too much."

I gave the blonde a cautious look. "What's your real name, then? Before Alexander changed it to Allie."

Allie's eyes suddenly widened, after seconds of silence. "Uh, I don't- uh.. I don't remember," she whispered timidly, a depressed look replacing the surprised expression that was on her face. "I don't remember anything from before I turned 13. It's like everything in my brain is a jumbled mess and all the clear memories I have are after I got my elements. Even then, Dad's never really given me much attention. Most of it goes to Shane and, even if I do get a second glance, all Dad sees is 11-year-old Allie, not me. The only reason I'm out here now is because Dad needed James and he knew Shane was going to get side-tracked once he sees Mum."

"If I had a childhood, I would never know what it was like because nothing makes sense in my head. I don't even recognise my own mother, even though I see pictures of her in James' house and bumped into her every now and then. I'm beginning to think I exist for the sake of existence, to fill a void in the universe so everything else runs smoothly." The young teen buried her face in her knees, and took a deep, calming breath. Her small frame- although she's probably a bit taller than Katie is- shuddered slightly before she threw her head back and sniggered. "Oh wow, this was supposed to be an apology, not a 'flashback-into-a-neglected-Diamond's-life' counselling session."

Wordlessly, I pulled the pubescent Diamond into a tight hug, one arm around her waist and another holding her face against my shoulder. My fingers weaved through her hair, my other hand patting her back comfortingly. She fought against my embrace, as I had expected, at first.

"H-Hey! Let me go!" she blurted, a blush appearing on her heated skin from embarrassment or awkwardness, I wasn't sure. Her palms rammed into my stomach a few painful times, to which I gritted my teeth and endured, until she gave in and slumped against my body. "You're fucking stubborn."

"Hey, language." I smacked the side of her head lightly and snickered at the grunt she gave me. "Listen, I forgive you for the shit you pulled at James' but, in exchange, I want you to tell me everything; the smallest details you're able to recall, I want to hear them."

I felt her pull away before her curious stare burned holes into the space next to my head. Her body was tensed, like she was on high alert, but the frown on her face and the hope that shone behind the coldness of her blue eyes stated otherwise. "Why would you care?"

"Because you kind of remind me of Katie when our dad left us," I explained, crossing my legs on the cushion of the couch I sat on. "Anyway, James loves you and, as his boyfriend, it's my sworn duty to keep him happy, even if it means dealing with his irritating siblings. You're not that bad either, once I look past your ridiculously unnecessary attitude issue."

Allie gasped and feigned feeling offended, a hand dramatically placed over her heart. "Excuse me? I'm a completely good person!"

"Says the girl who wanted to bite my ass off for throwing James under the bus, which I didn't. He chose to do it himself."

"I thought you already forgave me for that!"

"I did," I replied, smirking slightly. "I didn't say you were off the hook for it, though."

"You suck." She poked her tongue out and whacked my arm lightly. "By the way, I'm heading to James' place after this. Do you want to tag along?"

"Why?"

"James has some stuff of Dad's that I want to look through and something that Shane passed to you guys that was meant to be kept confidential until I gave the approval. But, of course, my brother's too much of an idiot to keep that in mind. Especially when it comes to both you and James."

"Again, why?"

"Well, Shane believes he's James' twin, even though he has no recollection of anything prior to his transformation, like me." Allie smiled smugly, wiggling her eyebrows with an all-knowing gleam in her eyes. "And he might kind of have a slight infatuation with you. You sure know what type to attract, huh?"

The other blonde broke out into laughter, tears gathered in her eyes as she doubled over after registering the bewildered look on my face. Frozen with shock, all I was able to do was stare at the young Diamond guffawing like a mad man at my reaction.

"Wait, Shane-"

"Oh, look at the time!" Allie pretended to look at an invisible watch on her wrist before she jolted to her feet. "Come on, we have to go now!"

Her eyes met mine for a brief second before she grinned innocently and grabbed my hand, pulling me up with a force no mere 13 year old should possess, dragging me out the front door and down the pavement in a few mere minutes. But, then again, she isn't any ordinary teenager, I shouldn't be surprised by her capabilities.

I shook my head, one side of my lips tugged upward to a small grin as the young girl walked with a slight bounce in her steps, whining at the lack of effort I was putting in to walk. To anyone else, it would seem like an elder brother being tugged along- harshly- by his little sister, even though they barely had the same facial structure.

"I'd be able to," I retorted. "If you'd let me tie my shoes!"

"Urgh!" Allie pouted, glaring at the floor. Her fingers were still clasped around my wrist, forcing me to slip my shoes on properly with the aid of only one hand. "Hurry up! James is waiting for me."

"For the love of- Okay! I'm done!" I was barely up again when she hauled me towards my boyfriend's place, a tiny smile as she hummed softly.

Something feels wrong. I paused at the words that rang in my head, nearly resulting in my arm being ripped off as Allie stumbled backwards.

She turned to me, surprised. "Kendall?"

Maybe it's just me.. Uh, nevermind. Pretend I didn't barge into your conscious. At any rate, you should probably reply her, you moron.

"Kendall?"

Blinking, I looked down at curious blue eyes. "You okay?" I tilted my head and narrowed my eyes unconsciously. Then, I shook my head and patted her head with my free hand.

"It's nothing." I shot her a sweet smile, hoping to quench her thirst for any answers. "Race you to James'!"

A/N: I need to explain some stuff here. The part where Kendall talks about Katie & Allie being the same, I'm sort of referencing to Katie in one of my fics called The Confessions of a Broken Heart. Look it up, if you haven't read it! :D

& yes, another filler, I think. I feel like I should explain Allie & Shane's background a bit before I drop the bombshell in a few chapters to come. Let's just say the story's about to end BUUUUUT, I do have another fic planned!

But God knows when that's coming up.

& yep, I haven't done a design for the thing I stated in the last chapter. I have had zilch urge to do anything. L
