I just would like to say thank you to everyone who has been patently waiting for me to make an update for this story. I do just want to say I'm sorry to anyone who loves Pipit, I'd just like to ask you to keep in mind that I do actually like this character and it pains me to do this to him but he was the only one that could betray Link in such away. Please forgive me.
Chapter Nine: Betrayal
The door locked with a click. "Pipit? Why did you lock the door?" Link asked Pipit with a raised eyebrow, confusion written all over her face. "Um, you said you wanted to talk?" Link asked as she watched him carefully as he shifted from foot to foot, refusing to look up from his feet.
"You lied." Pipit whispered quietly, still refusing to meet eyes with Link's sharp blue eyes. "Huh?" Link narrowed her eyes as she noticed the strange look on Pipit's face. "Tell me the truth. What is your secret, Link?" Pipit asked quietly, his face was dark and emotionless. "Wha-? I don't have a secret…" Link asked backing away slightly. Pipit glared hard at her as he advanced on her. "Stop lying to me!" Pipit yelled as he shoved her against the wardrobe behind her, one hand on her shoulder and the other on her chest where her breasts were concealed under her clothing. Her eyes flew open wide as she gasped for air as she struggled against his grip. "Please Pipit, stop!" Link begged Pipit. "Tell. Me. The. Truth!" Pipit shouted in her face.
Meanwhile on the Surface…
Ghirahim sighed happily, he was already half-way through the first temple. "I'm glad the traps didn't reset after she left." He laughed as he pushed himself up off the ground and continued deeper into the temple. "If I keep this up I should be able to finish both temples in two days!" Ghirahim couldn't keep the smile from his face as he thought of the beautiful blonde that was waiting for him back in Skyloft.
Back in Skyloft…
"I will only ask you one more time. What is your secret? Tell me it, Link. I thought you trusted me with all of your secrets." Pipit growled as he grabbed a fist full of her blonde hair and tugged, Link's hat had fallen off at some point during her fight to get free from Pipit setting loose her long blonde hair. "Stop, Pipit, please. You're scaring me." Link begged him, tears in her eyes. Pipit sighed as he brushed his fingers against her cheek and she flinched away from his touch. "I warned you, Link." Pipit growled as he threw Link to the ground, a dangerous look in his eyes. "All I wanted was to hear it from your lips, Lily." Pipit spat out her fake name as if it were poison. Link's eyes widened in shock as Pipit revealed that he already knew the truth.
She was so shocked by his actions that she didn't notice him pulling the dagger out from behind his back until the cold metal of the dagger brushed against the skin of her neck. Link's eyes widened even further as the tip of the blade was pressed down into her tunic and swiftly slicing through her tunic and cutting into her skin as it went down. Tears filled her eyes as she cried out in pain as the blade sliced her clothes off and revealed her heart container. Pipit's eyes flashed with rage as he attempted to rip off her heart container but as soon as his hand came in contact with it a searing pain stopped him. He pulled his hand back to stare at the burn that now covered his hand. Pipit growled in anger as he ripped the tattered remains of her clothing off of her shivering form. "How could you choose him over me? I love you! I have all along, I put up with everyone calling me gay because I love you! Do you know how that makes me feel? Knowing that I suffered because of your lie?" Pipit glared down at her, rage filled his voice as he grabbed her wrists and held them over her head in one hand. He forced his lips to hers and kissed her forcefully as he groped at her chest. "Pipit please…" Link's voice was weak as he began to kiss down her neck. "SHUT UP!" He screamed as he slapped her in the face. Pipit didn't bother being quiet because he knew there was no one around to hear her, all of their fellow students were outside training or visiting the bazaar. He gripped the hem of her pants and ripped them off of her slender legs. Pipit stared in amazement at just how beautiful she truly was: long slender legs, toned stomach with signs of a six pack just barely visible, large breasts, porcelain skin, intelligent blue eyes, and long golden hair that rivaled even Zelda's. With an angry growl Pipit forced himself onto Link and a piercing scream filled the air as Link's trust was forever broken.
Meanwhile back on the surface…
Ghirahim was relax in the purifying waters of the Skyveiw Temple when an overwhelming pain washed over him followed by the sounds of someone screaming in pain, fear, and betrayal. Cold fear gripped at his heart as he realized that the only person he had any connection with was Link and that the scream could only mean one thing: Link was in danger. With a snap of his fingers he brought himself back to the academy. Once he got his bearings he bolted in the direction of Link's room only to find a very angry red-headed male banging on her door shouting.
"For Goddess' sake open the damn door Link! I know you have Zelda in there! I heard her screams!" Groose yelled angrily not noticing Ghirahim stopping beside him.
"Move I'll open the door!" Ghirahim shouted.
"It's locked genius, how do you plan on opening it? Hmmm?" Groose glared at the strangely dressed man who seemed desperate to get into the room.
"Like this." Ghirahim placed his hands on the door concentrated his magic before releasing it into the door causing it to fly open. Groose and Ghirahim both rushed into the room only to be greeted with the tattered remains of Link's clothing and blood all over the floor, signs of a struggle taking place in the room were everywhere. Ghirahim's heart dropped. "Link…" a small whimper could be heard coming from the corner of the room behind Link's bed, upon closer inspection a small trail of blood lead to the origin of the sound. Ghirahim slowly approached afraid of what he might find. His blood ran cold when he saw what had made the pitiful whimper. "You there, Groose? Get me a blanket or a towel, something, anything! Quickly!" Ghirahim gestured with one of his hands in an urgent manor as he refused to look away from the area behind Link's headboard.
"Here. What did you…?" Groose handed over the white sheet he had found in Link's wardrobe as Ghirahim gently eased the unconscious form of a bloodied and beaten naked blonde girl from behind Link's bed. Ghirahim quickly snatched the sheet away from Groose and swiftly wrapped her in it.
"Link…" Ghirahim cried out quietly into Link's long blonde hair as he cradled her in his arms. Groose looked from the young blonde to Ghirahim and back again in confusion.
"Did you just call her…? Link's a girl?" Groose stood staring down at the grieving demon lord and the broken hero.
"Groose, please get the headmaster and tell him what happened. Quickly. I-I'm going to take her to the bathes to try and clean her up." Ghirahim spoke quietly as he rose from where he had been crouching on the floor and headed for the door. Ghirahim hurriedly ran up the stairs and darted into the bath, thankful that Link had pointed them out to him the other night. Relieved to find it empty he locked the door before gently laying Link down on the tiled floor. She hadn't made a sound since he pulled her out of her hiding place, nor had she moved. Concerned that she may have died he checked her pulse which was very weak but still there. Ghirahim let out a sigh of relief before focusing on healing her and cleansing her.
When Ghirahim had finally finished cleaning and healing Link he promptly returned to her room to find that Groose and headmaster Gaepora were waiting for them. Groose refused to make eye contact with anyone, in fact he seemed to have an interest in the doors to Link's wardrobe. Headmaster Gaepora simply watched as Ghirahim strode over to Link's bed and proceeded to sit down on it while still cradling Link in his arms. Gaepora let out a sad sigh as he broke the silence that had descended upon the occupants of the tiny room. "Ghirahim, Groose, do either of you know who could have done this to Link?"
Ghirahim lifted his head to look the headmaster in the eyes. "All I know is I got an overwhelming sense of betrayal coming from Link. My guess is it was someone she knows and felt safe around."
"That could be anyone. Link is well know and well liked. It's hard to believe that this could happen." Headmaster Gaepora sighed again as he watched the odd movements of Groose who seemed determined to map out the grain of the wardrobe door. "I will be in my office if you need me, but for now I think you should rest, both of you." With that the headmaster left the two men alone in the room.
A short while after headmaster Gaepora had left the silence that had once more taken over was abruptly disturbed by a loud thunk. Ghirahim lifted his head up just in time to see the cause of the sound as Groose banged his head against the wardrobe again. "Stupid, stupid, stupid. I can't believe it, a girl, I've been beating on a girl all along." Groose muttered under his breath. Ghirahim sighed sadly before giving a sad smile.
"You know, Link told me about you." Ghirahim spoke softly, gaining the red-heads attention.
"Then I'm sure she told you how horrible I've been to her." Groose sounded heartbroken as he looked away from the older male.
"She did mention that yes, but more importantly she told me that she was sure that you were a kind person deep down and would feel terrible when you learned the truth. Also, she said that you were the one that gave her the drive to get stronger and do better. Honestly, I think she wanted to be friends with you." Ghirahim smiled softly at the shock expression on Groose's face.
"She said that? Really?" Groose looked from Ghirahim's face to Link's face. "I…I think I'd like to be her friend too, if she wants to." Groose blushed as he stepped closer to Link's bed to get a better look at Link. "Honestly, I should have seen it, she's too pretty to be a guy." He said with a smile.
Ghirahim chuckled. "Don't worry about it, Groose. She had me convinced as well when we first met." The two of them smiled fondly on the unconscious hero.
As always please leave me a review I love to know if you enjoyed it or if I need to work on things.
