Amu's pov

I woke up and Ikuto was no longer in the room. I was greatful however when I found he had went and brought me some clothes. After all he had ripped the shirt, had I borrowed from him apart. I blushed remembering the events of last night.

"You better hurry downstairs Rima is giving Ikuto and earful. Something about him tainting her Amu." From her tone she found it all amusing. I hurried to the kitchen where I found a funny scene unfolding.

Rima had Ikuto against a wall by the shirt. It was funny due to the fact that Rima by far was much smaller than Ikuto. He obviously was just humoring the girl. As soon as they noticed Utau and I had entered their demeanor changed.

Rima came over clinging to me. Ikuto glared at the small girl who had her face buried into my chest. Rima didn't actually like me in the romantic sense, but Ikuto didn't think that way. I laughed deciding to tease him a bit. I tilted Rima's face up and stared down into her eyes.

Ikuto couldn't see her face as she caught on. I slowly leaned down as if I was going to kiss her. She having caught on raised herself up as if she were going to meet me half way. Suddenly Ikuto's hand was in between our faces.

"No no no Amu's mine." He whined almost like a child. Both Rima, Utau, and I burst out laughing. Rima stuck her tongue out. "That's what you get for doing the nasty to my Amu." She glared but left the kitchen.

"What did I miss?" Kukai asked. He had just come out of the shower so his hair was still wet. "Oh you know Rima scolding Ikuto, and a little lesbian action." Utau tried to stiffly her giggles at the last part.

Kukai's eyes were huge clearly not catching on that it was a joke. Ikuto had wrapped his arms around me and my back was up against his chest. I could feel the vibrations as he chuckled. If the appocolypse wasn't happening I'd say I was completely happy in that moment.

Yet it was and hearing the humans worrying in the living room brought me back down. We needed a plan and fast.

Tsukasa pov

I paced before the council. They were in panic as well. I had delivered the news days ago and had been waiting for them to hurry up and allow the allies leave to help. We needed to hurry before it was to late.

I felt a pang of guilt, I wouldn't be joining the fight though I planned to bring help to Amu and try to explain... still Amu was like a daughter to me, but Nagihiko was like a son in ways. Finally the Warriors had entered. They would be informed first and those who wished to join would those who didn't would remain here.

Yaya pov

"Kairi I need the stats." I called out to my partner. I was keeping my eye on the little boy Hikaru to make sure he stayed near by. Kairi had met up with me.

The others in the group were hunting looking for survivors. "Fox trot team found a survivor but they lost her on the way. It seems whatever this is can be transferred if the human is bitten or scratched." He said solemnly.

Shit I cursed in my head. "Like zombies." I heard Hikaru say softly. I handed him a piece of candy.

He took it thanking me. He had been acting more like a kid was supposed to lately. I offered Kairi candy but like always he refused. I shrugged as it ment more for me. In the distance I heared a howl.

I turned to Kairi just as I popped the candy into my mouth. "You watch Hikaru I'll handle it." I told Kairi. He nodded already taking the boys hand.

I drew the sword from my back and began running in the direction the howl came from. I was now in a neighborhood there were two beast outside a big house. I coked my head just what we're they doing. With that I took off at a run towards the first beast.

Ikuto pov

"Uh guys you might want to go take a look outside." Rima called. I was going to ask why but Amu had already peaked out of the metal shutter that Rima had cracked open. I heared my love gasp.

Before I could go see what it was myself Amu was grabbing both of her swords and out the door. I of course followed her grabbing my own weapon. The humans had went to peak out the window. When I got outside I took in the sight of Amu and a girl fighting the beast.

I was going to help but the beast from earlier jumped off the roof landing in front of me. Shit! I dodged to the side just as his claws came at me. His other hand having been injured when I slamned the shutter down hung useless at it's side.

I decided to end this quickly as I dodged it's next attempt. I Jumped up and turned the sword downward. Stabbing the beast through the top of its head. It fell limp and I removed my sword ignoring the foul stench of it's blood.

Just as I turned I watched as my lover used both of her swords in a criss cross motion severing the beasts head from its body. I turned to help the human girl but she landed the finishing blow before I reached her. We all stood frozen for a moment. "Wow good thing my hunch was right." The girl said.

Amu had come up beside me. She cocked her head in a silent question. "And that would be?" I asked when the girl didn't notice Amu's silent question.

"Oh my teams out gathering survivors. I was a few blocks down with my partner when I heared the howl. I decided to check if maybe I would find any survivors in this direction." The girl sounded like a baby somehow as she spoke.

"I'm Amu and you are?" Amu asked the girl. "Nice to meet you Amu-chi I'm Yaya." The girl said.

I saw Amu smile a bit and had to wonder if this baby like girl reminded her of her little sister. The look in my lovers eyes said that she already liked this girl. I didn't introduce myself but Amu did it for me. I only nodded at the girl.

We brought her in and she was happy so see all the people gathered here. "We have a secure zone." The girl said. "We take the survivors there. I will gladly take you all there." Yaya said.

Already I knew the humans besides Rima were for it. "And can we trust that you will keep them safe?" I asked. It wasn't that I was cared much except I had excepted responsibility for these humans the moment I took them in.

Not to mention there were kids I didn't want to see them hurt. Yaya nodded, "of course you all will be safe there." She said. "Yeah well me and my family won't be going but I will let you take the others if it means they will be safe." I said already slinging my arm around Amu's shoulders.

"What! You would rather stay here where it's dangerous?" She asked in disbelief. "We have our reasons... but make sure you protect these people." I said.

Most of the humans were packing the minute they heared of a safe zone. Grandma was hesitant to leave us here. I heared Amu assuring her we had to stay and that we would be safe. Amu hugged the older women we all did even me.

With one last glance Yaya led them out and we were alone again. Rima, Utau, Kukai, Amu, and me my family. Somehow though I couldn't shake the feeling that we would run into the girl named Yaya again.

Night had come, and I could only hope they all made it to the safe zone. I knew Amu was worried to as she came into the room. The others had went to bed already. My eyes raked over Amu taking her in.
