A/N: Finally some T/S action. Though... it came out..well you have to read it. Einvigi is a duel, if a man's masculinity was threatened at least three times a duel was the presented to prove each other wrong. Usually some one ended up badly injured or dead. No accents, because of the little to non language barrier. Vikings were known to have lotions and lubricants made from animal fat. WARNING: Vikings were violent, therefore my fic would have mentions of violence and blood
"One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six" A smile worth a million gold coins broke out on a young child's face. Elis' new addition to the family was counting a the petals on a flower with her favourite pal, Toki.
"And what does that mean?" He asked her, knowing the answer.
"Its spring!" She piped. She was the same age as Ros when Skwisgaar was first adopted into the clan, already counting and naming seasons.
"Gunvor. Toki. Come inside" Agate called out after the pair. Elis and Skwisgaar were talking by the fire with Jona who, though still too young, was begging to be the next raid.
"But father!"
"No.. you aren't even a man yet."
"I will be a man so much sooner if I went"
"No, you would be a child, on a boat of angry, tired and hungry men"
"But fath-"
"You do not want to be on a boat for the man Bergson, son." Elis looked down.
Jona was finally silent.
"What is the news anyway. Wasn't he engaged?" Skwisgaar finally spoke.
"Married. It seems a Chieftain from Denmark has a special wedding gift for him, to plead for his allegiance."
"PFFFFFT. The Dutch. Why would they want his allegiance."
"A war is coming. You can feel it in the air. The crows are perched." He looked up at the blonde. "Last night Thor's hammer was raging. War is coming"
Skwisgaar contemplated all of this. He was still silent as Toki and Gunvor came barrelling in.
"Gunvor, your clothes and your hair, they are cover in dirt." Agate stood with her hands on her hip. She took one glance at Toki and was taken back. He was absolutely caked in mud. Head to toe, crusty dried mud would flake with every move he made. His blue eyes shined even brighter next to the dullness of the mud.
Skwisgaar could not hold in his laughter. He double over and pounded his fist on the floor.
"Toki!" Agate was trying to hold her laughter in but couldn't help but let a couple snorts loose.
"Well what are we going to do with you?" She took a cloth and dipped it into a bucket of water. She bent down to Gunvor and cleaned her face. The little girl smiled and held up her catch.
"Oh, How beautiful." she ran her fingers through the child's dirty hair. The child shyly looked at her father and presented it to him.
"Far?"
Elis ran his hand through his own hair and sighed.
"Its um, very nice." He choked his words out. Gunvor looked down at the flower, a little disappointed at her father's disinterest.
"Aright, it is the prettiest flower you have found yet." He groaned and picked her up and set the young girl on his lap.
Skwisgaar picked himself up off the ground and stood next to Toki.
"Well, you could use a bath." He jabbed the brunette in the side with his elbow.
"Oh, but the bathhouse is a far walk from here." Agate continued to speak as she chopped vegetables for the stew.
"Well the lake is just right outside." Skwisgaar offered.
"B-but. Its still cold outside" Toki's eyes were wide and polar blue
"EH. You are right. You are to much of a woman to not swim in cold water"
"I go!" Gunvor piped up from her father's lap.
"See. Little Gunvor is more of a man than you." Skwisgaar jabbed with his insults. "I bet you were the one picking flowers outside."
"I-"
"When should we marry you off?"
"Skwis-"
"I bet a nice fat hairy man would take you in"
"You bett-"
"We could get a nice dowry"
"I'm getting-"
"Maybe a few cows. Well depending on how many children you could bare"
" Grr"
"At least five or-"
Toki had enough. He grabbed whatever Agate was cooking at the time and smashed it on Skwisgaar's head. He was a mess of potatoes, raw chicken and broth.
"TOKI..." He growled. A fire was raging behind=d the older man's eyes, and as if Toki wasn't staring at the face of death himself, he laughed.
"What are laughing at?" Skwisgaar glared.
"You have to get cleaned too!"
"I suggest you do that now, or my wife may just kill you first" Elis warned. The two Vikings looked towards her direction and sure enough the once calm Agate was now a fiery warrior. She had a spoon and she was prepared to use it.
"But- But, Agate it's cold" Skwisgaar whined.
"Go" was all she said and the two bolted out to the lake.
"And don't come into my home dripping wet!" She called out after them.
Several hours and watery arguments later they were fighting off frostbite by sitting by the fire. Agate was able to salvage enough of what she was cooking to make everyone dinner, she passed out wooden bowl and a chunk of bread to everyone. Toki, Gunvor, Jona and Even Skwisgaar dove right in not even to trying to hide their hunger. Toki played outside for the most of the day and Skwisgaar, well Skwisgaar was always hungry.
"Thank you for the meat Skwisgaar." Agate cut through the low sound of scraping plates and loud chewing.
"Oh don't mention it." Skwisgaar stopped stuffing his face "Me and this one over there had to much meat anyway."
"You really did save our family" She continue to give praise to the blonde.
"You did." Elis even joined in.
"No. I didn't. The Gods would have provided even if I hadn't helped"
"But-"
Skwisgaar put his hand up to cease the conversation. He didn't want to hear any of it. Toki , who sat silently in the corner was confused. They were just giving thanks, why didn't his master want to hear them. Then he realized something. There was a lack of very stern old women.
"Where's mama Unni?" He asked innocently.
At first no one answered. They sat there silently looking at one another not knowing what to say to the young man. Even Gunvor was quiet when she was always talkative.
"Well Toki... she was old, and-" Agate started
"She, couldn't move very-" Elis tried to take over.
"Don't treat him like a child for Odin's sake. Toki, she is dead. Died in her sleep during the storm." Skwisgaar cut them off.
Toki was speechless. Why had no one told him? Well, at least earlier. How did Skwisgaar keep this from him?
"Well.. I... Am sorry, for your loss." He couldn't think of anything else to say. He wasn't really crushed. Death still scared him, but there wasn't anything to be sad about. Why were they all staring at him like some kind animal ready to attack? There eyes were blank and they were piercing through him. He couldn't stand the attention.
"What are we being so quiet for, huh?" He grabbed his harp and began to play an upbeat melody. It was a simple one that he and Skwisgaar have been working on together. It didn't sound bad by itself but when Skwisgaar added his lyre the music was perfect.
Skwisgaar grabbed his lyre where it laid right next to him and began to play with him. Gunvor clapped and danced around the small fire. While her parents clapped but remained seated. Preferring to watch. Jona grabbed his drums and added a thunderous beat that could rival Thor's hammer. Ros joined Gunvor in the dance, carefully guiding her away from the fire. Toki was having fun playing but when he saw Elis and Agate still sitting he decided something needed to be done about that.
"Gunvor.. You remember that rhyme I taught you?" He asked in a whisper
The young smiled and nodded.
"Okay. When I give my signal, sing! Sing, loud! As loud as you can!"
"Okay!"
HE continued to play until Skwisgaar tried to out do him. Skwisgaar's fingers were all a blur and the music coming from the lyre was over taking the harp and the drum. Toki stopped playing and nodded his head to Gunvor. The girl smiled and busted out an epic cry like she was banshee. Her war cried echo through the house and then her poem began.
"Drink, for the wind blows cold and
Drink for The Wolf runs free.
Drink to the ships with the sails like wings and
Drink to the storm-tossed seas."
Skwisgaar's hands were still, after the second line he was able to resume the playing. Jona tried to resume but was still shaken. As the tempo sped up, so did Gunvor's singing. She growled like a little warrior at some parts but her tin y voice remained angelic.
"Drink to the lasting nights
and those who warm our beds.
Drink to the mead that warms our hearts
and the cold that clears our head."
No one noticed that Toki hadn't picked up his harp. They just clapped and giggled when Gunvor mispronounced a word or forgot what she was doing. It came as a huge shock when Toki grabbed Agate's hand and led her to a dance. Hopping, clapping and generally being foolish they both danced. Until Elis got jealous and took over the dance with his wife. Toki didn't mind, he grabbed the little Gunvor and danced with her. Skwisgaar laughed from where he sat. Toki had to nearly fold himself in half to dance with the young girl.
Then, the knock.
A loud thunderous knock broke through the music, laughing and dancing. Elis gave an apologetic look to his wife and walk towards the door.
"OH! Banki!? What brings you here?"
A large round man walked through the door, without waiting for permission. His long brown hair tied up with golden ropes and jaded beads.
"I came to talk to you about a pig missing from my farm." He looked around the house and at every guest that was there. His beady eyes lingered on Toki and Skwisgaar.
"Well, when did you lose it?" Elis was annoyed. His home was being intruded over something so trifling as a missing boar.
"Before the storm."
"Well, I am sorry to tell ya-"
"And what if I can tell you, I know where he ended up."
"Well I certainly do no-"
"In your house! How I know!? These two killed my boar!" He pointed at Skwisgaar and Toki who sat dumbfounded.
"Well thats-"
Banki walked away from Elis and glared at the two younger men.
"Well what do you have to say for yourself?" Banki pointed a thick meaty finger at the two men.
Both of them stood and towered over the pudgy man. Banki tried to stand his ground but both had a good foot ,or in Skwisgaars case two, over the man.
"We have no idea what you are talking about." The blonde spoke.
"Oh? Where did you acquire the meat you stocked up for the storm? You don't own a farm and Odin knows this family's farm hasn't produced dung since last winter.
"That's enough." Elis would not have his families home insulted.
"I want my boar."
"How do you know the boar we killed was yours? We hunted in the woods" Skwisgaar argued.
"I mark my boars with a distinct chip in its ear."
Skwisgaar was silent. The boar had a chip, but that could have been caused by anything.
"The boar we caught has been eaten."
"Then I demand another one or a sort of payment, for the loss."
Skwisgaar sneered. Who the fuck did this fat man think he was?
"Even if it was your, it was in the woods, it was fair game. Though I think you are lying"
"Are you calling me a liar!?"
"My exact words."
"Such rudeness!"
Skwisgaar stalked over to the man. His shoulders were hunched and his fist were clenched. He was going to teach the rude bastard a lesson if he needed too.
"Look fat ass! You come into this man's home, uninvited and and insult everyone in it with your presence."
"You say one more thing, you are going to regret it" Banki threatened. He tried to shrink away from the furious blonde but was having no luck. He just kept coming closer.
"NEJ! Fuck you! You can't do anything without any sort of proof that we did steal anything. The boar is eaten. Leave us alone."
"I don't need proof against you slave. Who, if I remembered right, was the one who killed it."
Skwisgaar was silenced again, but he still stood towering over the smaller man.
"That is what I thought. I demand compensation." this time he was looking right at Toki.
"But-but. I don't have anything." Toki defended himself. And he was right, as a slave he didn't have anything. Not even his own clothes, despite Skwisgaar giving them to him, the were still considered his master's.
"Well that is a problem." Banki stroked his beard, feigning concern. "Well I guess you can work for me until you work off the boar."
"B-but"
"Hold on! I still don't think MY slave killed your boar. So he doesn't need to work for you." Skwisgaar moved in front of Toki.
"Well there is honestly no way of knowing. Well we could meet in front of the chieftains court."
"No."
"Well that's the only way to solve this.. I shall be leaving now" he turned and headed towards the door.
"There is another way. BECAUSE YOU ARE NO MAN AND I AM MORE OF A MAN THAN YOU!" Skwisgaar yelled at the top of his lungs. One.
"What did you just say" Banki asked still turned around.
"You are no man" Two.
"Excuse me" This time he turned. He was confused. Why was the blonde yell such an insult, knowing full well what it would lead too.
"Blaming others for you mistakes. You. Are. No. Man." That made three.
"Einvigi!." Banki pointed his finger once again at the taller man.
"Fine, but if I win, you let this whole boar thing go."
"If that is what you wish, then I want to fight against your slave,"
"What" Toki was astounded. He had no rights, if he injured this man he would be-
"deal" Skwisgaar spat in his hand and shook Banki's. As soon as the man entered he was gone.
"Are you out of your mind?" Toki asked his master once hey were back in their own house. Banki's visit made their dinner bitter and tasteless, despite Agate's wonderful cooking. So Skwisgaar packed up Toki and they said their goodbyes.
"No." Skwisgaar was silent. He sat at his little table lightly picking his lyre.
"Apparently you are! I have to fight one of the chieftain's court men! If I lay one finger on that man they will-"
"No." That's all Skwisgaar would say. He didn't really want to think about it. The fight would be at dawn which was in a couple hours.
"Will you even act like you care!? All you are doing is sitting at the stupid table ignoring what just happened"
Still no answer. Skwisgaar was still indifferent, which was the exact opposite from when they were both at Elis'. There he was angry and expressed raw passion. He looked like someone to admire, but now he was motionless, and held no expression what so ever.
This infuriated Toki. He grabbed the lyre and tossed it aside. He tossed it to hard and the was a loud CRACK! The Lyre did not break in half, but there was a huge crack running down the side of it.
"Do you know what you have just done?" Skwisgaar snarled. He bonded with that lyre, he loved it.
"Do YOU know what you have done?"
"Not break my instrument?"
"You signed my life away, and you can care about is your, Instrument?" Toki got close to Skwisgaar's face. He wasn't going to put up with the older man's selfishness.
"It would have been gone if we went to the court!"Skwisgaar wasn't going to back down. It seemed he gave his slave a little too much freedom. He was not going to let him talk to him like this.
"NO! There we would have a had a a fair chance!"
"I would have had a fair chance! Not you, You are a slave! You have no rights! None!" Skwisgaar was done with Toki's stupidity. He didn't get it, but he was going to make sure he got it this time. The brunette stayed silent. He knew he had no rights, and he was lucky Skwisgaar let him over step his boundaries.
"Some one says you did something, you did it. Doesn't matter if they lied, you did it. I save you from getting automatically hung. Be grateful. At least they didn't kill you with your pathetic family." Skwisgaar went to get ready for bed. He no longer had much of a lyre to play so what was the point of staying awake. Maybe he would see if Murdeface could fix it, though he was a blacksmith, his daughter seemed capable of doing anything.
He was in mid thought when the hairs on the back of his neck stood up. He ducked barley missing a swing from Toki.
"What are you doing?!" He yelled at his slave. He was on the ground looking up ant an enraged monster.
Silent,Toki slammed his foot where Skwisgaar's chest should have been, but missed when the blonde rolled away. Using his longs legs, Skwisgaar tripped the younger man so they were both on level ground. Once Toki fell, Skwisgaar jumped at the opportunity to straddle him. He Pinned down both his arms and used his weight to keep him still.
"What's the matter with you?" The blonde was confused. Yeah, he and Toki would get into spats, but rarely did the younger man ever strike at him with the intent harm.
"You have no right to even mention my family" Toki spat in Skwisgaar's face. He struggle to get out of the hold but the older man held him tight.
"I should kill you!" He let the spit slide down his cheek. It was gross, but he didn't want to risk Toki getting another swing at him.
"Why don't you? All of you Bergson's are the same."
"Don't ever compare him too me!" Skwisgaar bared his teeth threatening Toki to say one more word.
"Why not?You sleep around like him. Disgusting-" Toki was pushing his luck. But two outcomes could happen in this situation. One Skwisgaar gets mad at him, lets up and goes to sleep. They don't talk for days if not months. Or two, Skwisgaar makes him sleep outside. It has happened before.
"Toki I am warning you" Skwisgaar was turning red with rage.
"Filthy-" Toki wasn't going to stop. Skwisgaar already crossed the line and he was just pushing him back.
"Stop." Skwisgaar was trying to calm himself down, but his anger was going to get the best of him.
"Dirty whore. Just like-"
"Don't you -" One last chance.
"Your mother."
Something snapped. Maybe it was his patience or maybe he just hated being compared to his own mother. But something made Skwisgaar punch Toki in the nose. Over and over again. Now Bergson he hated but his mother, that was on a whole different spectrum.
"Shit..." was all he could muster after he stopped his blows. He looked down and saw blood gushing from his slaves nose. "Toki I-"
He didn't get an apology out once Toki saw an opening he took it. Skwisgaar let go of hi hands so he took the opportunity to deliver a blow of his own. Right square in the jaw. Skwisgaar fell back and Toki rolled away. He grabbed for a heavy blunt object which was a huge elaborate cane, Skwisgaar had won in a bet. He wasted no time swinging it at the older man. Each swing barely grazing the agile Viking.
Skwisgaar ducked and weaved. The cane was thick and heavy and Toki was mad. He ran until he found his shield. It was thick and sturdy, it it could stop a blow from an axe, it could take a cane.
Toki slammed into it mercilessly. Each swing harder than the last, he was out of control. Skwisgaar just kept his guard up, he had never seen the younger man like this. Being as strong as the younger man was, Toki was terribly clumsy. Swinging the cane made his hands extremely sweaty and the cane flew out of his hands and landed right behind the crouching Viking.
] Toki made a grab for it but Skwisgaar kicked it out of his reach. Soon the younger man was backed into a wall. Skwisgaar held his shield up so if Toki struck he wouldn't be hindered. Like a cornered animal Toki glared, snarled and struck out but to no avail. Skwisgaar once again pinned his flailing arms above his head. Toki tried to kick but Skwisgaar held his ground. The younger man struggled until he broke down.
Tears streamed down his face and mixed the blood still spewing out his nose. His shoulders shook and as he began to cry harder. He was in pain and desperate. He dint even dare look at the man above him, the man who was god like and strong. The man who treated him like a civilian though he was a slave. Dwelling on it made him cry harder and snot mixed with tears and blood was soon all over his face and he couldn't wipe it away.
Skwisgaar was tired, confused, lost and done. He had seen Toki vulnerable before but never like this. The younger man looked so much smaller as he held him against the wall. It made his gut feel a little weird. He wanted Toki to stop and smile, and act like everything was okay. He didn't want to see him cry, or have blood on his face. So he kissed him. Barely even a touch of the lips but Toki stopped.
Toki looked at him with wide polar blue eyes. Searching. Skwisgaar backed a bit away. He wasn't sure how Toki would react. They both stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity until Toki slammed his face back into Skwisgaar's.
Both their lips were dried and chapped but neither minded. As the kiss heated up Skwisgaar removed one hand and placed it on the back Toki's neck. The younger man flushed and melted more into the kiss. As Skwisgaar moved his tongue over the younger man's lips begging for entrance he moved his knee in between Toki's thighs.
Toki was nearly helpless. As a slave, he never got any sexual attention. Well besides with himself. Now that there was something touching him, he couldn't control his arousal. He ground his hips into the knee begging for more attention. Skwisgaar pinned their bodies closer as their tongues battled for dominance, which Toki soon lost.
They separated for oxygen but soon there faces were mashed together. Skwisgaar had let Tokis arms down, which the young slave immediately wrapped around Skwisgaar's neck fearing separation. Now freed, both of Skwisgaars hands were roaming, pinching, squeezing, tickling, rubbing stroking and caressing every inch of the younger man he could. His hands soon found themselves to the belt on Toki's pants. With lightning speed the belt was off and the pants were on the ground. Smiling to himself Skwisgaar lifted up one of Toki legs.
"What are you- OOOOOOOH-" Toki was cut off by a hand kneading his cock.
"I am going to fuck you" Skwisgaar whispered into Toki's ear. He dropped his pants and lifted Toki's other leg so he was supported by Skwisgaar and the wall.
"You sure?" Toki questioned. He wasn't concerned about his manliness, most of the Gods engaged in homosexual acts, but he didn't like the idea off his insides being ripped into apart.
"Yes. I have had guys in my bed before." He kissed Toki again reassuring him. He grabbed the animal fat that he usually used to mend his shoes and rubbed a decent amount on his penis. Slowly he lowered Toki. He was barely penetrating the entrance when Toki began howling in pain.
"Shhh. Just relax." Skwisgaar rubbed the younger man's back to get his mind off the pain. He gave him light kisses on the skin he reach. Toki soon calmed and slowly lowered himself onto Skwisgaar once again. Half way in, his whole body was on fire. It hurt so badly. He didn't even want to imagine If Skwisgaar did not lube himself with the fat. But he grit his teeth and bore the pain, praying to Frejya it would get better.
"Toki. I am going to start moving now"
"Okay, okay. Just give me a minute."
Skwisgaar could barely hold still, Toki was tight and warm but not very light. He was having a hard time to keep his pelvis from thrusting. That's when his hand travelled to Toki's cock and began teasing it. It would lightly touch or hover. Sometimes he would stroke let his hand linger. Whatever technique he used it was driving the man against the wall crazy. And soon Skwisgaar was thrusting without the younger man screaming out in pain.
"Ah. Ah ah!" Were all the audible sounds Skwisgaar heard from Toki's mouth. Skwisgaar began thrusting harder and faster as Toki moaned in pleasure, but he did not last long and soon Skwisgaar emptied himself into the younger man. But Toki didn't come. He smiled as Skwisgaar removed himself. He was in so much pain. He slid down to the floor, his legs wouldn't even hold him.
"So I guess you aren't made I punched you in your jaw" He said to the floor.
"No." Skwisgaar couldn't look at Toki. His face was covered with blood, snot and tears and now his own semen was leaking out of the younger man. He noticed a tinge of red, but did nothing of it.
"I'm sorry" The words hit Skwisgaar's ears like an arrow.
"Don't be" Skwisgaar walked to his bed where he continued to undress. He was already under the blankets when he saw Toki still sitting on the ground looking at the floor.
"Aren't you coming to bed."
"I- I- can't- it hurts to move"
"Oh." Skwisgaar rose and walked over to Toki. He picked up the younger man as if he was a doll and carried him to bed. Toki feel asleep quickly not saying goodnight to anyone, no even their wolf.
Skwisgaar glanced at the younger man. It looked like he broke his nose, it was hard to tell with all the swelling. Toki probably wouldn't be able to walk tomorrow, so he would have to got Banki alone. Maybe he could get them out of this mess.
