"Maybe she won't be so mad at you." Alex insisted the day back to school after summer break..their LAST year.
Summer had been awesome, could be because she didn't even get ONE text from 'A'.
"It's been two months right?" she asked Jay.
Jay looked a bit different, hair a little longer and his old teen lean body now a buff leaner young adult man body.
Alex added, "And 'A' stopped since you guys stopped speaking." she shrugged, "Maybe that's all A wanted..to make us miserable, and you two not to be together..maybe it's one of your mad exs or hers."
"You did always say you hated her.." taunted Jay, but looked a bit antsy as he kept playing with his liter even after he flicked his cigerette away and kept looking at the front of the school.
"So over you." snickered Alex, rolling her eyes.
"There she is." Spinner said, pointing and getting out of Jay's car since he was just smoking a joint inside it.
What? they were still young! Do it while they can right?
wow.
"Wow." Spinner said out loud, even liking the change in Emma.
Her hair was longer, her bangs that were across her forehead grew out and swifted into her long layered hair. She wore a navy blue string top and mini white skirt, her big white designer bag (big enough to hold her books) on her shoulder as she walked into school, hips swaying.
Jay glared at Spinner once he was able to rip his eyes off Emma, who was out of site anyways now, but he had to agree.
She looked good as always, always surprising him each year she returned to school looking more fine. Could she get any more beautiful though? Jay wasn't sure if he could handle it.
"See you guys later." muttered Jay, following the way Emma left.
Alex smirked over to Spinner who shook his head, "uhhhohhh." they sang together.
Emma opened her locker just as Jay appeared behind her, sadly watching her put her books into it.
"Hey." he said quietly and went around her when her eyes looked over and she turned her head to stare, to look back at the locker.
"What do you want?" she snapped lowly, just organazing her locker and not even looking at him anymore as he talked
"I made a big mistake, Emma-"
Emma's eyes shot daggers at him and he shut up as she snapped at him, "Don't call me by my name..nothing has changed between me and you. I am still Greenpeace to you and you're still just Jay Hogart"
He clenched his jaw, deserving that but also a bit hit in the stomach by it so couldn't help but glare back at her but nodded.
"Alright, Greenpeace. Got it." he informed.
She nodded, and turned back to her locker.
Jay looked down though, leaning his shoulder on the locker beside hers. He for some reason couldn't just drop it though.
He coughed lightly, "How are you?"
"Oh I'm amazing." she bit back bitterly, "You?"
"You don't..really care." he taunted simply with a small smirk but she wasn't falling for it.
Emma raised an eyebrow but bit her tounge, feeling a little deep down like she did but insisted it was better to just ignore him.
"Where'd you go over the summer?" he asked curiously, not even making small talk..he really wondered.
Kinda missed her.
"Vancover." she said, slamming her locker door shut and turned around to walk away, "Than Wasaga" she threw over her shoulder.
Jay's eyes did a double take and he leaned off the locker, going after her, "Wasaga?" he repeated.
"Mhm." she simply answered, carrying her math book and on her way to class. She narrowed her eyes to see his eyes look ahead in disbelief.
"To see Sean.." he bitterly drifted off, not needing to be answered as he looked back at her and they connected eyes.
She just raised her eyebrow and then turned the corner, leaving him in the dust.
He swallowed hard, and felt his blood bumping, thinking about Sean near Emma again, them..alone..together.
His phone beeped, and he tensed up. he looked the way Emma went and slowly reached for his phone. He opened it up to sigh in relief, just Spinner.
'A' was really gone.
Emma sat by the pool with Manny after school, sadly just letting her body tan as she laid on her stomach, pouting a bit.
Manny was on her back, and turned her head to look at Emma. Jt and Toby were in the pool.
"You know what you need to read girl?" Manny asked Emma, grabbing her summer book.
"Not another Dr Phil book, Manny." teased Emma.
"Men are mars." Manny read the title, "and Women are from Venus."
"to get more penis!" J.T yelled from the pool.
"J.T!" yelled Emma, glaring at the boys as they giggled and high fived.
"What?!" J.t asked, shrugging innocently.
Manny shook her head smiling and looked at Emma, "Em, it's good." she passed her the book, "It explains why some guys are just so...dumb.." she teased.
Emma snickered, maybe she would read it..
Emma heard her phone go off from a text and Manny looked down at it and to Emma, who bit her lower lip.
"you gonna get it?" Manny asked, giving her a funny look and smile.
"U-uh, no. It's fine." she shrugged, trying to ignore it.
"Oh my god, Em, it's that guy. Peter." Manny said with a point to the guy across the pool, holding a camera and around a bunch of girls.
Emma squinted her eyes but didn't seem to care as she glanced away, somebody else on her mind.
Meanwhile, Jay and Spinner sat at the Ravine later that night and Spinner passed Jay a beer.
"Come on man, lets enjoy this." Spinner cracked his open and added, "our life is lookin up. I'm even thinkin about getting Manny back."
Jay glanced at Spinner while sipping his beer and shrugged.
"But first... one more night of partying just like the summer." smirked Spinner, getting up when he saw Amy's sister with the one and only Amy and went over.
Amy left her sister and Spinner to go fool around as she noticed Jay who snickered and looked down, sipping his beer again.
"Hey." she greeted.
He looked up shocked but nodded, trying to ignore her and have his own time.
"I heard.." she drifted off, purr like, as her hands smoothed on his knees since he sat on top of a bench, "That you hadn't been around a lot here this summer." she seductively said, letting her hands smooth up to his thighs.
Jay stopped her hand, and slowly removed them off him before raising his eyebrows, "You heard right."
"Aren't you a little... bothered?" she teased, "Don't you want some..release?"
No, Jay thought, he wanted Emma. His eyes widened, hearing himself think that and he stood up and just went around her, walking away.
Amy gave him a crazy look and yelled after him, but he didn't turn back.
