Spyro's POV

"Spyro, Cynder," Malefor weakly spoke in between his groans of pain and coughing of blood, "I, I am sorry." Cynder and I were speechless. "I thought it was our destiny to master the most powerful aspect of a warrior, and so I lusted for power to no end. I, I had to have more power. I became a slave to my own desires, driven mad because I could never find this power."

Malefor gave another painful groan as he looked at me and Cynder.

"A power that you've already mastered, something I could not understand: Trust."

HIs words played through my mind, I thought hard about what he meant. I believed him.

"It seems that my time is over," Malefor continued, "I have many regrets, but I regret the fact that I can not correct my own mistakes most." Malefor let his head drop to the floor as he took in a painful sigh of relief.

"But perhaps, I can help you. by passing on what I can." The world around us changed, everything seemed to be blurred except for Myself, Cynder, Brian, and Malefor.

Or rather, our spirits, Brian and Cynder showed no signs of fatigue or injury while Malefor appeared to be younger. His scales seemed to be different in color with his scales showing a rich violet color as his underbelly and horns seemed to have a yellow golden glow. It occurred to me that this is what he looked like before he became the Dark Master.

"Spyro. . ." Malefor began, his voice sounded a lot younger now. "To you I return your ability to control time, as well as my abilities and knowledge of Fire, Ice, Earth, and Electricity. Use them well." As he spoke, lines of energy in the colors of red, blue, brown, yellow, and purple streaked into me. The feeling of power was incredible! I've never felt so strong before in my life!

"Cynder. . ." Malefor continued, "I know what little my words would efect what I've done to you but please accept my apology."

"Malefor, the dark Master stole my childhood from me, not the purple dragon Malefor." Cynder explained, "And while at times I wish I could take it back, There are some things that would never be the same." Cynder admitted as she looked at me romantically. And for once, Sparx isn't here to ruin it.

"Thank you," Malefor began again, "To you I pass on the ability to control time, the last piece to complete you as a Purple Dragon, as well as my knowledge and abilities of Wind, Fear, Shadow, and Poison. Use them well young one." Again streaks of light traveled, this time to Cynder. She absorbed the colors of red, green, black, grey, and purple. The look on her face was one of awe.

"And then there's you Brian," Malefor shifted his focus on Brian. "You definitely are a hard one to figure out. Yet still, I have three abilities for you I think you'll appreciate. First a variation on Spyro's ability to control time: To your enemies nothing happens, but to you: Time stops. While you too are frozen physically, your mind is not." Malefor explained as a purple stream of light entered Brian's body.

"And last is an alternative form to your energy blasts," Malefor continued, "Instead of a single orb, you can now generate a stream of energy. Ues it well, use it wisely." A streak of light blue traveled into Brian's body.

Either Brian didn't feel his new power or he didn't show it. Brian's only response was a silent nod.

"Spyro, Cynder, Thank you, You've made me proud." As Malefor spoke these words the world became normal again.

The first thing I saw was Malefor's lifeless body limp on the ground in front of us.

"The Dark Master is dead," I thought outloud, "So why do I regret doing it?"

"We all die in the end Spyro, but how and why make all the difference." Brian explained, "Malefor died knowing that he was wrong, and also knowing that a new age is dawning."

Brian's words made sense. May he join the ancestors in eternal peace.

The ground beneath us began to crumble and shake. With the Dark Master dead, his dark magic ceased to exist. Unhindered, the Dragon realms began to remake itself. And we were standing right next to the Well of Souls.

"We need to move! Now!" Cynder shouted as the three of us took off. We flew back to Warfang as fast as we could.

Two hours later. . .

Brian's POV

I was laying down on the roof of one of the inns in Warfang,(Great place to watch the street at night) the whole city was in a state of unease, yet safe. I could sense every bit of dark magic rapidly dying. After about ten minutes I decided to get back to the temple and sleep through it.

Besides, Even the Night Fury doesn't want to miss the first light to shine signaling a new age.

So, How was that? And if you think this is getting close to the end, I tell you: Your wrong. Plenty more ahead in a new, fresh, world!

Leave a reviw telling me what you think!
