Responsibility is the price of freedom.

Spyro's POV

"Spyro, get up." The first thing I heard was Cynder's voice as she tried to shake me awake. I slowly opened my eyes to see her and Brian in my room, I also saw that it was still dark out.

"Why did you wake me up so early?" I yawned as I stretched my sore muscles. The sounds of my joints popping telling me I've worked out the kinks already.

"Because," Brian replied, "You've worked hard. You've earned the first look at our new world."

I couldn't argue with that. Soon the three of us took off and left Warfang in the crisp air. Brian had to fly in front because it was so dark out that we could only see each other. After a while we landed on a mountain's peak. we had a perfect view of the direction of the volcano. It was still to dark to see it though.

The horizon turned purple as light slowly crept towards us, next we saw a golden glow as the sky turned pink.

And then as if the ancestors had pulled back a curtain the land and the sky were filling in an awe inspiring light. Mountains showed their mighty, yet beautiful purple majesty. Water was pure and clear, yet powerful and strong. Plains of green grass flowed in the wind. All the areas that were tainted by darkness now shined, remade into relaxing pieces of paradise.

A warm wind blew across my face, seemingly carrying hope and freedom. The three of us stood there embracing the view before us. Only one thing could make this better.

I roared.

upon hearing my own roar I felt even more powerful and free, I felt strong. Cynder joined in with her own roar, and then Brian.

Then I heard another dragon roar from the valley, soon joined by many more.

The land echoed with the mighty victory cries of every dragon. And I was certain the moles and cheetahs were cheering too. The land, our home, was free.

I roared again.

DIxon's POV

Moles and Cheetahs cheered and danced in the streets as the dragons continued to roar freely. The city was alive and well, I could already see some young cheetahs headed out the city gates on their way to explore the new lands. This war, this war is over.

I'd better head over to the tavern and make sure that the men don't have one to many victory drinks. If they did I'm gonna have them "Meet the boot" as the saying goes.

3rd person narrator.

Roars of victory filled the air as the lands shined in the golden sun's rays. Freedom and pride filled everyone's hearts. Spyro and Cynder, the two purple dragons of legend, and Brian the Night Fury stood hearing the cries of freedom and hope. The three dragons replied with their roars of power, pride, and valor. From dawn to near dusk, the dragons stood strong. Finally, with the sun slowly starting it's path back to the horizon Brian was the first to speak.

"So this war ends, and the battle to protect the peace begins." Brian commented as he turned around and took off, his wings letting him sail across the sky. Cynder was about to take off to but Spyro spoke up. . .

Spyro's POV

"Cynder, I need to tell you something." I confessed, "I love you."

Cynder walked over to me and began leaning into me, after what seemed like an eternity she whispered something in my ear.

"I know, I love you too." her words seemed to seal our fate together. We just stood there, In Love

Brian's POV

I changed my flight path from Warfang to some open plains full of great game. I know Spyro and Cynder would be a while, I had a pretty good idea why, but really it's not my business. What was on my mind now was to see if I couldn't get a deer for the orphanage in Warfang. While I technically didn't have a single gem under my name (I just receive full access to the temple and it facilities) I tried to make a weekly delivery of a fresh deer for the kids to eat. Of course I always made the drop at night so they didn't know it was me who did it.

I saw a herd grazing in the field below me and picked out my target. It was a strong bull elk.

Those kids are going to be spoiled tonight!

Several hours later. . .

"Alright Forge, Light it up!" Dixon held the fuse out as Forge produced a small flame lighting it. Dixon set the fuse down and took a couple of paces back with Forge right behind him before yelling. "Fire in the hole!"

The firework shot up into the sky before exploding in a bright yellow. Soon to be joined by millions of other fireworks. Cheetahs and moles cheered and partied all night as the dragons continued to roar. Although they were no longer battle cries, now, now they were the sounds of having a good fireworks were nice enough to watch, but that was about it. Of course I never knew about the fireworks tonight until one hit me in the gut as I flew over the city. Besides, I was watching something else right now, Something in my opinion that was a lot more heartwarming. (And less painful) Through the window I could see the children feasting on the elk I got as well as some deer, goat, and several kinds of other foods. Good, someone else is making sure that those kids eat well.

Upon hearing movement, I further withdrew into the shadows before seeing a pair of moles, a couple walk down the street and enter the orphanage. I let out a small chuckle: Better, Someone is making sure that those kids eat and sleep well.

A firework went off over head and casted of it's red glow, revealing me against the roof I was currently on. I hate being exposed, as a sniper you tend to follow a golden rule: If you're exposed, you're dead. I decided to go somewhere more quiet. . .

Now, WHERE ON EARTH AM I GONNA FIND SOMEPLACE QUIET!

Yep, there you go. Spyro admits his love to Cynder. Hope I did a good job.

So, tell me what you think in a review and have a good Thanksgiving!

(At least I think I'm ahead of thanksgiving, cant tell when all you hear after October is Christmas music)
