Dawn's POV

About 10 minutes after teleporting into Gotham we finally made it to the house and silently walked up the small porch steps leading to the front door. The small run down telephone booth we teleported in isn't far from my house so it didn't take us very long to get here.

We crossed the wooden porch and stepped up to the front door. I pulled my keys out of my back pocket and unlocked the door. The minute I swung the door open we were bombarded by the delicious aromas of Sue's cooking causing all of our stomachs to growl like hungry beasts.

Ever since we left the telephone booth Wally's been vibrating in anticipation, and when the smells filled his nose his shaking got faster. Before I could even think about taking a step forward Wally twisted around me and sped through the door running towards the kitchen.

"Aunt Sue we're here!" he yelled as he ran through the house.

I shook my head and face palmed making a loud smacking sound.

"Come on guys we better make sure he doesn't eat everything before we even get inside the house" I muttered before walking inside.

The team followed behind me and as we walked through the house the first thing we passed on our way to the kitchen was the large black and blue living room.

When I first moved in, Sue changed the living room to match my three favorite colors, light blue, deep purple, and black. We painted the walls teal and kept all of the furniture black.

When you looked around the room your eyes are immediately drawn to the large black couch in the middle of the room. Two small blue pillows with dark purple designs decorated each end of the couch and gave its dark surface a splash of color.

Facing the couch on the opposite wall is a medium-sized flat screen TV. Resting on the newly installed shelf underneath it is a black PlayStation 3.

My favorite chair, which is a small black reclining chair that makes you feel like you're sitting on a cloud, is pushed into the corner of the room.

Placed in plain sight in the middle of the long glass oval shaped table in front of the couch is a small photo of Sue and I on our family vacation to Washington last summer. Underneath the table is a small black rug with blue and purple decals.

The living room is by far my favorite room in the whole house. I'll even go as far to say that I like it more than my own bedroom, and that's saying something because everyone knows I love my bedroom.

As we walked through the room I slowed down just a little so Superboy and Kaldur could get a good look since this is their first time here.

Once they'd looked around the room I picked up the pace and walked into the kitchen. When we walked in Aunt Sue was in the process of pulling three HUGE pans of chocolate cake out of the oven. She shifted the two pans currently in her hands to balance their weight before safely placing them on the counter and reaching for the last pan.

"Hi Aunt Sue" I greeted and flew over to give her a quick hug as she placed the last pan on the counter before turning to the team.

"Aunt Sue, allow me to introduce you to my teammates Superboy and Kaldur," I introduced while pointing to them as I said their names so Sue would know who was who.

Kaldur bowed his head and placed a hand over his heart in respect.

"Greetings ma'am, I'm honored to have been invited into your home. I've heard many great things about you from my teammates and I'm glad to finally meet the women my friends think so highly of. I've also heard your cooking is to die for" he complemented while giving Sue a bright smile as she pulled off her oven mitts.

"Oh well he has amazing manners, I like him" Sue discretely whispered in my ear before turning back to Kaldur.

"The pleasure's all mine dear and please call me Aunt Sue. From what Dawn's told me you're all practically family and any family of Dawn's is family of mine. There's no need to be so formal here."

She walked around the counter and pulled him into a hug.

Kaldur instantly felt at ease around Sue and returned the hug. She released Kaldur after a few seconds before turning to SB.

Superboy nodded in greeting, but stayed close to the back of the room next to Megan. Sue walked over and placed herself in front of him. She stared at him for a few seconds before speaking.

"You don't seem much like the hugger type, am I correct?" she asked, but from the way she said it it sounded more like a statement than a question.

Superboy glanced at her and shook his head to confirm her inference.

She grinned, "Well than I won't hug you. How about a hand shake instead?"

She held out her hand and waited for SB to take it. Superboy glanced down at her hand then back at her face before cracking a small smile. I grinned when he reached for her hand and shook it careful not to break her hand with his strength.

"Even Superboy can't resist Sue's natural charms," I thought to myself.

When they finished their handshake Megan flew over and tackled Sue in a hug. Sue stumbled from the force, but quickly regained her balance by taking a few steps back and placing her hand on the counter to steady herself.

She chuckled and returned M'gann's hug with as much enthusiasm as the red headed teen.

"How is my little apprentice doing?" she asked as she pulled away from M'gann to see her face.

"Great! I've practiced all of the recipes you taught me and I'm getting better every day" M'gann beamed.

"Wonderful!" Sue ruffled the girls hair causing said girl to giggle and beam with pride as a result of her mentor's praise.

"Hey Aunt Sue" Robin grinned and waved once Megan stepped back.

While he waited for everyone else to finish their greetings and introductions he leaned against the wall in the corner of the kitchen.

Sue's smile widened exponentially when she saw him in the corner.

"Robin! Oh it's great to see you; I feel like I haven't seen you in forever. Don't tell me you've forgotten all about your dear old auntie these past few weeks," she said pretending to be hurt.

She quickly shuffled across the room and pulled him into a bone-crushing hug that would've rivaled Superboy's if he ever actually hugged someone.

Sue knows not to call Robin by his real name when other people are around or when he's wearing his shades, like he is now, unless he or Batman give her permission to do so.

"Sorry Sue, Gotham's keeping me busy" he softly apologized while rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

"I know dear I'm only teasing. Though I would appreciate it if you'd poke your head through the door every once in a while to say hi I'm alive" Sue answered sweetly.

Robin nodded and Sue gave him a pat on the shoulder before returning to the counter.

Robin looked around the room and raised an eyebrow.

"Hey where's Wally" he asked finally noticing a certain red head's absence "I know he rushed in here before we did."

"I sent him out back to grab some things from the garden and the garage for me. Could you three boys please go outside and give him a hand?" Sue asked the boys while giving flashing them one of her signature smiles.

No one, and I mean no one, not even Batman himself can resist that smile.

Even though the team, except for Robin and Wally, are still new to Sue she makes everyone instantly feel welcomed and comfortable. A soft spot for her quickly formed in all their hearts, even Superboy's. Usually it takes him a while to warm up to someone, but with Sue it's different. He instantly felt at ease around her and so far she's probably the closest thing he has to a motherly figure.

Kaldur, Superboy, and Megan found it odd that even though they've only known her for a short amount of time they all feel a strong connection with her. As of now she's officially a part of their family and I know that a deep protectiveness over her suddenly formed in all of their hearts.

I smiled knowing Sue could now add the entire team to her gang of over protective super powered family.

"Sure thing Sue" Robin answered for the group before leading the boys to the garden, leaving us girls in the kitchen.

My house doesn't have a huge backyard, but it's a decent size.

Ever since Sue bought the house she's wanted to have a garden in the backyard, but with Gotham's atmosphere and weather patterns that dream was virtually impossible. The Wayne manor is one of the cities few vegetation exceptions just because it's, well…Wayne Manor. I'm pretty sure that plot of land is magical or something 'cause it's always fresh and green.

Years ago Robin, Bruce, and I saw how passionate Sue was about getting a garden so we built her a green house in the backyard for her birthday. It's big enough for her to grow a diversity of plants, but small enough to fit in the yard and not tower above all the other houses. It takes up most of the yard, but it's one of Sue's biggest pride and joys.

If anyone messes with her garden Lord help them because I don't think Superman himself could stop her from killing the poor unfortunate soul.

"M'gann you want to help me with this cake?" Sue asked once the boys left.

"As you can tell it's very big and has multiple layers so I could use some help icing it. We'll decorate it once the boys return with the fruit from the garden."

She pulled out two spatulas and a large bowl of rich homemade chocolate icing from the fridge and placed all of it on the counter next to the cake pans.

"Oh I'd love to" Megan chirped while flying over to Sue's side.

I was just about to go out back and help the boys bring in the supplies when the doorbell rang.

"Well I wonder who that could be," I thought sarcastically since I already know exactly who it is.

"Dawn could you get that for me please" Sue asked as she and M'gann continued to ice the cake layers.

"Sure" I answered before flying out of the kitchen.

I opened the front door and saw Barry and Iris standing on the porch. Barry has a case of soda in his hand for the young people while Iris has a bottle of wine for the adults.

"Well would you look at this. Barry and Iris at my doorstep, what a complete and total surprise. I had absolutely no idea you were coming," I said making the sarcasm in my voice very apparent and they knew it.

"Surprise! We were in the neighborhood and heard about your little gathering so we thought we'd drop by, especially since Sue's making chocolate cake" Barry said as he started to shake, just like Wally was earlier, as he thought about the food.

"You do realize you two live in a completely different city right? How could you have possibly been in the neighborhood" I joked.

"We just were" Barry retorted back.

"Hi Dawn" Iris interrupted causing Barry and I's playful bantering match to come to an abrupt end as she pulled me into a hug.

I consider Barry to be the amazing uncle I never had and Iris as the 2nd amazing aunt I always wanted.

I stepped out of the doorway and waved my hand toward the inside of the house giving them plenty of room to walk through.

"Come on in, party's just getting started."

Megan and Sue had just finished icing and stacking the cake when the three of us walked into the kitchen.

"Barry, Iris, it's so good to see you. How are you?" Sue asked before quickly walking around the counter to give them both a hug.

"Oh Iris you read my mind. I totally forgot to get some wine while I was at the store," Sue said to her friend just as the boys returned from the garden each holding a bag of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Along with the bags of food Robin was also clutching a black tablecloth under his arm.

As they gently placed the bags on the counter Wally noticed the bottle of wine on the table.

"Oh sweet we get wine too, now it's starting to become a real dinner party!" he said pretending to be excited about it.

Sue glanced at him and laughed, "You don't, the adults do."

"Aw come on Aunt Sue way to be a buzz kill, that's sooooo unfair" He pretended to pout as he crossed his arms.

"No child while under my roof, will consume any type of alcoholic beverage until they turn 21 and that's final" Sue firmly declared.

She said it playfully, but we all knew she was very serious and meant every word.

"Hey guys" Barry said to the team as he put the soda in the fridge.

"Hey Barry" Robin waved and sat on one of the stools in front of the counter-top.

"Is there anything I can help you with" Iris asked Sue not wanting her to have to do everything by herself.

"Would you mind chopping up the fruit the boys just brought in for the fruit salad and cut the strawberries in halves so I can put them on the cake" Sue asked as she put some bread into the oven.

"Of course" Iris nodded as she walked over to the sink and washed her hands.

She grabbed a knife and a cutting board from the cupboard before getting to work on chopping up the fruit.

Once Iris was working Sue cleared her throat instantly grabbing everyone's attention.

"Alright so dinner's almost ready, but since we have some first time visitors I'm going explain an important rule we have in this household. My most important rule for dinner is that everyone enjoying the food has to contribute to the dinner preparations in some way."

She instantly turned to Barry and started issuing out orders.

"You get the tablecloth and put it on the table, then grab some bowls for all of the food to go in so we can start putting them on the table."

Barry nodded and said "sure thing Sue," before taking off to do as he was told.

Next she turned to Robin, Wally, and I.

"Since you three know where everything is you're in charge of setting the table. Robin you get the cups and the plates, Dawn you get the silverware and napkins, and Wally you get the bowls and help put everything on the table since you're the fastest."

We nodded and walked over to the cabinets and drawers to grab what we needed.

After that she turned to Superboy and Kaldur.

"As for my two strong boys here, we have a lot of food prepared and it can get pretty heavy when it's all packed into containers and bowls. Megan and I are going to put the food in bowls and plates and then you two are going to carry them to the table. I don't believe the weight will be too much of a problem for you two" she said with a knowing grin on her face.

They grinned back and nodded their heads before waiting for her and Megan to fill up the bowls.

"Megan can you use your powers to lift that pot of pasta and pour it into that bowl over there" Sue asked while pointing to a large bowl on the counter next to her.

Megan nodded and used her powers to do just that.

Sue took the freshly cut strawberries from Iris and used them to decorate the cake. Once that was finished she helped Megan put the remaining food in serving dishes so Superboy and Kaldur could carry them to the table.

The team filled their cups with water or soda while the adults filled their glasses with red wine before sitting at the table.

Our dinner table is a long dark brown wooden rectangular table big enough for everyone to easily fit in.

I sat in-between Robin and Wally. Barry sat next to Wally and across from us are Kaldur, Megan, and Superboy. Sue and Iris sat at the heads of the table. Iris sat on the end closest to her husband while Sue sat on the end in-between Superboy and Robin.

Once everyone was seated Sue held out her hands to Robin and Superboy and everyone quickly got the hint and held hands.

Superboy glanced around confused on what was happening, but didn't want to ask.

"We're about to say grace SB," I told him through our private mind link so no one would hear it.

Megan created mind links between the team so we could communicate with each other at any time. She even made private ones so we could have conversations with certain members without the others knowing what we were saying just in case it's something private.

Superboy heard me and nodded in understanding. He thanked me through the link before hesitantly grabbing Sue's hand.

She gave him a comforting smile immediately evaporating all of his hesitant or awkward feelings before asking, "Who wants to say grace?"

No one spoke up so Sue picked someone.

"Robin, thanks so much for volunteering" she said before bowing her head and closing her eyes.

Everyone followed suit and Robin said grace. We released hands after Robin finished and for a split second there was complete and utter silence, but as usual Wally was the one who finally broke it.

"Food time" he yelled giddily as he grabbed the bowl of pasta and started plopping spoonful after spoonful onto his plate before moving on to the next bowl.

Barry wasn't far behind him and soon the rest of us were also filling our plates with food. There was pasta, fresh rolls, garlic bread, Caesar salad, fruit salad, corn, potatoes, gravy, and of course Sue's signature chocolate cake for dessert.

"This is delicious Aunt Sue" Wally praised although I could barely understand him since he's talking and scarfing down food at the same time.

"I agree, this is one of the best meals I've ever had" Kaldur complimented while swirling some pasta on his fork.

Superboy grunted in agreement and popped a buttery roll into his mouth.

"Why thank you. Its always nice to hear I still got the skills" Sue thanked the boys before pulling out the large cake knife.

"So who wants the honor of cutting the cake?" she asked while holding the knife up high.

"I think Superboy should do it since this is his first dinner party" I suggested slyly before glancing at Superboy who looked at the knife hesitantly.

"I'd rather not. I don't want to do to the cake what I've done to the past 5 tables at the cave," he muttered under his breath.

Superboy's still getting used to his super strength and sometimes he doesn't know how much force he puts behind his actions. So when he gets angry or frustrated he tends to slam his fist into the table; and lets just say the table never wins that fight.

"Sorry Superboy, but you've been nominated. You'll do fine, I promise" Sue smiled in reassurance before handing him the knife.

Superboy took the knife from her and slowly cut the cake, careful not to use too much force so he didn't accidentally send the cake flying across the room. He placed the first slice on Sue's plate since she made it.

"See that wasn't so bad now was it" Sue chuckled as she took the cake from Superboy.

"Me next" Wally and Barry yelled at the same time while raising their hands high up in the air.

The two speedsters glared at each other trying to get the other to back down first. When it comes to food, especially Aunt Sue's food, those two will go to war.

Superboy cut everyone a slice and Megan and I lifted the plates to their owners so no one had to reach across the table. The slices of cake were gone seconds after being handed out and Wally and Barry had about 4 slices each. Once everyone finished we all leaned back in our chairs stuffed and satisfied.

"That…was…so…DELICIOUS!" Wally emphasized each word as he put his fork down.

The only thing left from the meal was some pasta, one roll, and four slices of cake, but everything else was devoured. Sue decided that she'd package up the last 4 slices of cake and drive them over the Manor later for Bruce and Alfred once everyone left.

"Indeed that was excellent, thank you for the delicious meal Sue" Kaldur thanked her.

"This was good, thank you Aunt Sue" Superboy said sincerely.

"Yes Sue this was amazing" Iris agreed.

"I'm glad everyone enjoyed it because now we get to the fun part…cleaning everything up" Sue said with fake enthusiasm and she laughed when she saw everyone's face fall just at the thought of cleaning before groaning in displeasure.

Just like before Sue immediately went into command mode and started to give everyone jobs.

"Everyone take their plates to the kitchen and put them in the sink. Superboy and Kaldur please take the bowls and other containers back to the kitchen. Wally and Barry take the cups and silverware to the sink, and then take this tablecloth to the washing machine so it can be washed before we put it away. Megan, Iris, and I will put up the extra food while Robin and Dawn have dish duty. Wally and Barry since you two are the fastest and will be done before everyone else you get two jobs. Wally, when you've finished your first assignment please wipe down the table and Barry you wipe down the counters. Everyone has to help put away the dishes once they're cleaned."

Once she finished passing out orders everyone got up from the table, grabbed our plates, and headed towards the kitchen.

Barry and Wally zoomed around wiping down the counters and tables while bringing Robin and I dirty silverware and cups to wash. Superboy and Kaldur brought in the food bowls and Robin and I washed them as well.

Once the dishes were all washed everyone came over to help dry and put them away in their proper places. It took us about 40 minutes to have the kitchen and dinning room sparkling and spotless.

"Good team work everyone," Sue complimented before making her way to the living room.

"Who wants to play video games," I asked while running after Sue.

"Oh, oh I do!" Wally quickly answered as he ran after me.

For the rest of the night the team battled against each other on the PlayStation 3 while the adults talked amongst themselves on the couch.

I won all of the racing games, but Robin managed to beat me once in a soccer game when we played FIFA 14. All in all it was a great night of fun; probably one of the best I've had in a long time, but sadly like all good things it had to come to an end.

"All right Wally I think it's about time we start heading back towards the house," Barry declared as he stood and stretched.

"Aw man the nights already over" Wally whined as he stood from the floor and ran to his uncle's side.

I glanced down at my watch and frowned.

"Yeah Robin and I have to go on patrol in like twenty minutes so unfortunately it's time to wrap things up."

I turned the PlayStation off, stood from the floor, and walked over to the front door.

Barry, Wally, and Iris were the first to leave, but I made sure to give them all a hug before they left. Barry brought an arm under his wife's legs and picked her up bridal style. She wrapped her arms around his neck and protected her face by burying it into his chest so the wind wouldn't affect her. Wally pulled down his goggles and the two speedsters sped off with Barry carrying Iris tightly in his arms.

Once they left I went up to Sue and told her I'd be back from patrol soon.

"Stay safe," she whispered before giving me a hug. She then walked around the room and gave the rest of the team a motherly hug and a slight ruffle of the hair. She told the team they were always welcome to stop by whenever they wanted and to never hesitate to ask if they ever needed anything.

They thanked her and said they'd come back and visit soon, then the entire team, minus Wally, walked back to the telephone booth and returned to the mountain. Robin and I led the way since they didn't know their way around the city.

Once the team teleported back to the cave Robin wrapped his arms around my waist and I flew us both to the Manor to save time. We used the secret entrance so no one would see us in our civilian clothes and quickly changed into our uniforms.

I slid my boots on before walking out of the changing room and running over to the vehicle section of the cave.

"You ready?" I asked my partner while swinging my leg over my motorcycle.

Robin grinned and slid the black covering of his helmet over his eyes.

"Oh Dawn, when are you going to realize that I was born ready."

I rolled my eyes as I followed his lead and flipped my helmet down. I kicked up the stand and twisted the accelerator to maximum speed. Robin wasn't far behind me as we sped through the city, our motorcycles fast but silent as we raced to our first patrol location.

And scene! Aunt Sue has now met everyone on the team and they all love her. Next chapter will be the episode schooled. Please please please review! I love to get feed back. If you review you'll be the best person in the world.
