Epilogue

(Bpov)

Two years later

I raced as fast as I could to get to Forks from Nashville. I was done with finals and done working two days before everyone else, but I needed to wait for the guy at the moving company to come and help me put my things in storage so I wouldn't have to more it all the way back to Washington. But the company didn't start moving people until the Friday after finals because they didn't want to move things while people were still studying. I understood that, but it was just annoying to have to wait when I was done.

They finally came and we moved everything in a day because I told them I had somewhere important to be. So now I was on my way back to good 'ol Forks, Washington. I was going back for Alice's graduation, well her graduation get-together she was having. She wanted me to be there for the actually graduation, but I told her I couldn't because I had an exam that day and the earliest I could come want Sunday because of the stupid day and half travel. The one thing about choosing a good school that was just so far.

My phone was ringing on the passenger's seat. I looked to see it was Alice, again. She's been calling me every hour. I didn't answer this time. I was about an hour away from her house; she could wait.

Luckily, I got the lights when I got the highway and made it to the house faster than I thought. I parked in front of the old house I use to tutor Edward in. One might think I would be used to this, but it was still very big to me.

I turned off my car. It wasn't the truck I had in high school. Sadly, it passed on during the summer between my senior year of high school and my first year away to university. It was at the most random time too. Jasper and I was just sitting in the car when it just making funny noises. I turned it off and left it alone for the night. When I tried to turn it back on, it never did. I was so sad when it die, I actually cried. Both Jasper and dad said it was a good thing it died while I was still at home and that it died period because it was old and dangerous. To make me feel better, Jasper took me to his uncle to get a car. I was allowed to get the car Jasper took me to prom in; well something like it for cheap. It was the same color and the same mode just a different year. that made me feel a little better.

While I was undoing my seatbelt, I heard a knock on the window. I turned to see Alice smiling at me, lightly bouncing. She was about to go to college and she was still just hype. I guess she should hold on to that little bit of childishness. Being mature and an adult were way overrated.

"Hurry up." I heard her yell. Could she back away from the car so I could get out? I opened my door slightly. As soon as it was little opened, she grabbed it and swung the rest of the way. She grabbed my wrist and pulled me out. "It's about damn time you got here." She said as she hugged me tightly. She was a few inches taller since the last time I saw her.

I hugged her back. "It's not my fault. It literally takes a day to get back." I said as I hugged her back. I pulled away from her. "I have something for you." I told her before turning back to my car. I grabbed the bag from the seat and turned to her. "I hope you like it. I don't really know what to get a rich girl." I joked. She grinned as she took the bag from my hand. She looked inside. "It's a desk lap and thirty dollars." I told her..

She smiled then looked at me . "Thanks." She replied before hugging me again.

"Sure." I told her as I closed the door and round my car so I was on the other side.

"Izzie." I saw Rosalie walk out the house with a huge smile on her face her one-year daughter Emma on her waist and Emmett behind her. My best friend had a child last summer after her first year of college. I can't say I was happy about that. I was never the one to support babies who were born outside of marriage. But she was my best friend and she was happy with Emmett. At least she waited until she was out of high school and wasn't eighteen. When they found out she was pregnant, Emmett came home from Texas and she came back from New York to be at home. She walked over to me as fast as she could. When she got to me, she hugged me around the neck. "About time you got here." She said as she released me.

"Why does everyone keep saying that?" I asked.

"Because it takes you forever to get here." Emmett said. I gave him a smile.

Emma groaned and reached for me. "Give me my goddaughter." I jokingly demanded as I took Emma out of Rosalie's arms. I kissed her on the cheek. I wasn't crazy about the pre-marriage child-having, but I had to admit, I did like having a goddaughter. It was like having my own daughter without the other stuff.

"I'm surprise she is that attached to you. It's not like you ever see her in person."

"Are you still mad at me for not being here for her birth?" I asked.

"It would've been nice if you were." she replied.

"I was on my way. It's not my fault I'm so far."

"Yes it is." Alice said.

"Yeah, you're the one who chose a school all the way in the south." Rosalie agreed.

"Okay, can everyone get off my back?" I teased. "You know you guys can come and visit me once in a while." I reminded them.

"Hey, I take offense to that. I come to see you when I can." I heard a voice. I looked towards the door and smiled at who I saw there. He stepped away from the door and smiled back. The smile still made me blush. "Hi, Belle." Jasper said.

"Hi, Jasper." I greeted back.

"Oh hold; give me my child back." Rosalie said. I handed her Emma. "Okay, go." She allowed.

She didn't have to tell me twice before I walked over to him. I would've ran, but we know how that would have ended up. Me on my face. When I got to him, he wrapped his arms around my waist and lifted me off the ground. I wrapped my arms around his neck. "Cute glasses." He said as if he hasn't seen my thin tan frame glasses before.

I laughed. "Thank you." I said. When I realized that Jasper likes me for me and not because of the makeover, I went back to my glasses. I like the contacts and still wear them; I just wear my glasses sometimes too.

"May I?" he asked. I found it cute that he still asked that, but it's only when we're in front of people because he knew how I felt about PDA. But we were in front of our friends. It wasn't like it was something they haven't already seen.

He leaned in and closed the space between our lips. It was hard to believe I was dating my crush for two years. We had a thing my first year away. Right before I left, I told him what happened with me and Edward. I couldn't leave him and go all the way across the country with that secret on me. I told him it was nothing and he said he was fine and happy I told him. It wasn't until he had his spring break before mine and he made a visit down to my school. First I thought it was sweet because he said he came to surprise me; but then he got there and one of my floormates, who just so happened to be male, stopped by my room to return a pan. When the guy left, Jasper flipped out.

He made comment about how I was no different than Maria. Unlike when Rosalie said it, I hit him in the arm because he of all people should know how I feel about that girl. Even though high school ended two years ago and she was no longer in my live, I still didn't like her. I reminded him it was one mistake and not to hold that against me. He said the distance was getting to him. I reminded him it was no reason to think I was doing, whatever he thought I was doing; I wasn't even sure, with every guy on my campus. I didn't think he was doing something with the girls on his campus. When I asked him why would he act like that, he told me. It was the first time he said that he loves me. It was the first time I told him what I felt for years.

He slept in my room that night, but I told him to never do that again. I don't think I could be with someone who didn't trust me. I loved him but not enough for him to accuse me of things I don't even think about doing. He promised he wouldn't and he has come down with at least calling me first.

"Why the hell are you guys making out like you didn't just see each other?" I heard someone said. I pulled away and smiled at Edward.

"We miss each other, Edward." Jasper answered.

"You guys miss each other that much in a week?" he asked. He was referring to the fact that Jasper came down to see me the weekend before to help me start packing because his semester ended before mine.

"I missed you too, Edward." I told him.

"Yeah, because I'm getting a lot of that love." He said, rolling his eyes. I gestured to Jasper, hinting it wasn't my fault. He looked at Jasper. "Dude, she's your girlfriend, not a damn teddy bear. You can stop hogging her and put her down." He said. Jasper chuckled as he placed me on the ground again. I walked over to Edward and hugged him. "Long time no see." He said, before pulling away. "Speaking of see, nice glasses, four-eyes." he said with nudge.

I laughed. "Nice shirt, superstar." I replied, nodding to his Notre Dame Football shirt and using the same name I called him when he first asked me to tutor him. I first said it in a mocking tone, making fun of him. But now when, I say it, I am joking and he knows that.

He looked down, then back up and smiled at me. "Yeah, I supposes it's one of the perks of the scholarship." He replied.

"Have I told you how happy I am that you guys are friends again?" Alice said as she walked towards the door.

I smiled at Edward. "I am too." we followed Alice in the house.

We all sat in the living room because she wanted us to saw her open her graduation gifts she got from people. Most of them were cards with money or gift cards in them – though she really didn't need it – and she felt the need to read all of them, including the hand-written notes out loud. We sat there for a while because she had a lot from family, friends, family friends, and friends' family. She even had of from each of the people who were sitting in the room.

"I think that was the last one." She said as put the last card in the pile of opened envelopes on the floor.

"About time." I heard Jasper mumbled next to me.

Apparently Alice heard too because she stuck her tongue out at him. I found it rather funny that she was eighteen years old and still does that. "Whatever, I'm done so you can do what you need to do." She added as she gathered her things.

Jasper turned to me. "Can we go on the porch to talk?" he said to me.

What did he want to talk about? More importantly, what did he feel he couldn't say in front of the others? I turned to everyone else, wondering if they had a clue. They weren't even looking at us. They were all paying attention to Emma as she giggled and ran around in the living room. it was only one way to find out. I looked at Jasper and nodded. "Sure."

He stood up. He grabbed my hand and pulled me off the couch before leading me through the back door. "So, how were your finals?" he asked as we sat on the first step.

"Okay." I looked at him. "But you didn't bring me out here to talk about my finals." I assumed.

He chuckled. "No I didn't." he admitted. "I wanted to give you something."

"Why?" I asked. Today was nothing special for us; not Valentine's Day, not a birthday, nothing.

"Because I saw it and thought of you." He said. He turned and reached for something. When he turned back to me, he had a box with holes in the sides.

"What is this?" I asked.

He handed me the box. "Open it." he suggested.

As I looked at the box, I wondered what could possibly be in there. I didn't even have a clue; it wasn't like anything he gave me before. Usually it's in a pretty box or a bag, and not just a small cardboard box with holes in the sides.

I removed the top of the box and looked inside. When I did, there was a medium size turtle figurine. It looked so real; even the shell was the colors I've seen in books and online. I wondered where he got it. I reached for it to pick it up to get a closer look at it. When I did, the shell didn't feel like metal, or plastic, or glass or any other material. I felt like...I don't know how to describe it because I never felt anything like it.

Now I really want to hold it. I couldn't get my hand on it because it moved away from my hand. Did that figurine just move? I reached for it again; again, it moved out of my reach. I gave a gasp. "This is…real." I said aloud.

Jasper chuckled. "Yes, it's real." He said.

"You got me a real turtle." I said in amazement. What made him get me that? Did he do it on purpose; he had a thing for impulse buys. I looked at him. "Why on earth did you get me a turtle?" I asked in shock.

"You like them so much; I figure it was time for you to have your own. The guy at the pet shop said this was the best one because it only needs to be fed once a day and you can even take it out of the cage every now and then." He answered.

I looked back in the box. My own turtle. I've always wanted one. I always pictured myself going home and just watching it slowly crawl from one end of the cage to the other. But I couldn't have one. My mom said I wasn't allowed to have any pets. She said pets caused more trouble and more messes and it wasn't worth it. And because my dad didn't like fighting, he agreed. It was why he got me so many every chance he got.

There was just one problem. "I can't take him to school with me." I told Jasper in a disappointed tone. "I can't have pets in my dorm." I added.

"I know that." he said.

I looked at him. If he already knew that …"Then why would you get him?" I asked.

"Well, I'm in my apartment most of the time. I figure I can keep him in my apartment with me during school."

"But I would want to see him when I come back. I can't just go back and forward between Oregon and Washington." I told him.

"You won't have to if you're already there." he replied.

I gave him a confused look. He wasn't making any sense. If I was already in Oregon? What would I be going in Oregon? "Jasper, I don't understand."

"Bella, I didn't give him to you just because I saw it. it was because I wanted to ask you something."

"Okay." I invited for him to go on.

He turned to me and grabbed my hand. "I want you to move in with me."

"What?" I asked in shock. was this why he wanted to talk out here and not in front of everyone else? I wondered how many of them knew before he asked me. no doubt Rosalie knew, so that mean Emmett knew too. this is probably what Alice was talking about. "Where did this come from?" I asked.

"The lease for the apartment I have off my campus is for two more years. The way my lease is set up, I have to be there for most of my breaks, so I'm there anyways. I have extra space because I have no roommates. Plus, I know how things are with your mom when you come home. I figure you can have another home to come back to."

Move in with Jasper? That was a big step. "I do-."

"Before you say no, look at it this way." He interrupted. "You won't be there for about nine month; you're only be there solidly for about three months in the summer. It's really more of a vacation home. You can even see if there's so classes you can take to transferred to your school. " he reminded. When he puts it that way, it sounded nice and not as big as it might be if I went to the same school as him. "Come on; my roommate just finished his last semester and won't be back next year. I have nothing but space for you." He said, trying to convince me.

I don't think he had to do much more. but it was one thing I think I should know before answering. "Wait, you're not doing this because you need help with rent, are you?" I asked.

He gave a loud laugh. "Of course not, Bella." He assured. "I'm asking you because even on breaks we don't really see each other."

"But going from that to seeing each other all day and all night?"

"I'm about two or three hours from Forks. If you get tired of me, you can go with Rosa. She hasn't seen much of you either and you know Emma would love it." he answered.

It was a first that I had more questions and couldn't think of an answer. But, it seemed like he had it all figured it. it all made sense too. I mean enough sense. It wasn't like it was all the time. It was just for breaks, a month for winter, a week for spring, four or five days for all and about three months for summer; all depending on when work study program wants me back. And it was only two years. I think I can handle two years with Jasper and our new little turtle. I turned to him and smile. "Sure, we can try it." I told him.

He smiled back. "I'm so glad you said that." he said before reaching in his pocket. He showed me a key on a ring, hanging around his finger.

I couldn't help but laugh. "You already had another key made?" I asked.

He gave a shrug. "I was being optimistic." He answered. "May I see your hand?" he asked. I placed the box on my lap before holding my hand out to him. when I did, he removed the key from his finger and placed it on mine. "Thought it would a good was to propose." He teased.

I chuckled. "You're such a dork." I commented.

He gave a laugh. "Yeah, well you bring it out of me in the best way." He replied. Then his face turned serious as he grabbed my hand and kissed it. "I love you." He said. When he did, my heart jumped just like the first time and any other time he says it..

I smiled. "I love you, too." I replied before leaning in ad kissing him.

We didn't stay there long before someone opened the back door and interrupted us. We pulled away and turned to Alice, who was standing in the door way. "Cake time. Time for you guys to rejoin us." she said.

"Fine." Jasper said with a sigh. He stood up and took the box out of my hand before grabbing it and pulling me up. We followed Alice back in the house. When we walked through the kitchen, Edward was standing against a counter drinking from a beer bottle.

"I told you to get the cake." Alice said.

He rolled his eyes. "I was just about to get it, calm down. I thought we were waiting for those two." He said nodding at Jasper and me.

"Well, I got them so get the cake please." Alice answered.

"Fine, but I can use some help." Edward answered. He looked at me. "Will you help me Bella?" he asked.

"Sure." I told him. Jasper kissed me on the cheek before him and Alice went back in the living room. I walked over to Edward. "You know, you're still not at legal drinking again." I teased. He gave me a look. I pointed at the bottle in his hand..

He chuckled. "Cut me a break, I'll be twenty-one next month." He reminded.

I guess I couldn't argue with that. "Whatever, so just don't expect me to feel bad for you tomorrow." I told him.

"If I recall correctly, you weren't going to care anyway, remember?" he answered before slipping from the bottle again. I laughed. At lease he remembers what I told him about people who drink underage.

"Where is the cake?" I asked. he pointed to the refrigerator. I walked to it. I opened it and pulled out a full sheet cake. It was white with a pink and yellow rose boarder around the edges. The words "Congrats Mary Alice!" was written across the middle with a toy graduation cap on the first C. "Mary Alice?" I questioned as I looked at it. I never her be called that.

"That's her full name. my mom got the cake and wanted that on there." Edward explained, looking at the cake.

I looked at him. "She must be happy you're home." I assumed as he turned to get the plates from one of the cabinets. I was never in the kitchen long enough to know where anything is located.

He shrugged. "She comes up to my school once a month. It's not like she really gives herself time to miss me. But I am happy to be home." he answered.

"So how does it feel to be at one of the top schools in the country, nerd?" I joked as he placed the plates on the counter.

He took another slip from hi bottle before laughing. "Nerd, yeah right. I'm barely making the grades to keep my scholarship." He replied.

"You know you can call me to help, even video chat if you need it." I remind.

"Thanks for the reminder, but I get help from people in my classes, so I think I got it; for the most part anyways." he answered. I was glad to see he was using his classmates, but not "using" his classmates. He's found something to motivate him, I suppose. "So I saw the box. I'm guessing he got you the turtle." He assured, changing the subject.

"You knew he was getting it for me?" I asked. Well, that answers the question of how many people knew. I'm going to guess everyone but me. I guess that's the meaning of the word "surprise". You're kinda the last one to know.

"Who do you think reminded him how much you love them? When he said he wanted to give you something special, I remind him your thing with them and suggested he get you something with one on it. He said he gave every piece of turtle jewelry he could find. I guess that's how he came up with the idea." He said. "Why did he give it to you, anyways?" he asked. so I guess he didn't know; or didn't know fully.

"He wanted me to move in his apartment with him." I answered.

"And what did you say?" Edward asked.

"I told him yes."

His eyes widened. "Really? Wow, that's a big step." Edward said.

For some reason, I felt the need to explain. "Well, I figured it wasn't that big of a deal since I will only really be there during the summer."

"Bella, you don't have explain anything to me." Edward stopped me. I looked at him. "It was just a comment, not an assumption." He assured. "So you guys will be like a little fake family? Uh, it sound like something he would do." He comment before taking another slip from the bottle.

When he said that, it made me think of the first time he gave me, when he asked me to prom. I realized he gave me something every time he wanted to ask me something. maybe he thought it would be easier.

My stuffed turtle I have in my bag because I sleep with it every night and take it everywhere I go for more than a few hours. When people asks me why I take it everywhere, I just blush and tell them it was how my boyfriend asked me to prom. One of the best nights on my life. "When he asked me to prom, he gave a stuffed one." I told him. Edward nodded. "He said someone told him about my love for them. I thought he meant Rosalie, but was he talking about you?" I asked.

He gave a shrug. "It was when I was trying to still be a good friend." He answered.

A good friend. The last time he said that we were alone. I never asked him because it wasn't something I thought about that night. "Is that why you didn't come that night?" I couldn't help but asked. He looked at me. I hope he didn't need me to say it.

He looked away and nodded. "You were the only person I wanted to go with. When I couldn't, I decided that I rather be at home than to watch you two." He answered. I didn't know what to say. the thought didn't even cross my mind that night. I barely thought him. when it came to that night, I think I was one being more selfish than him. He took a slip from his beer. "You know…" he stopped and turned to me. "What I said that night, I still mean it." he said.

I gave a small smile. "I think I kinda figured." His face wasn't hard to miss when Jasper was around. I always try not to make him feel that way when I'm here, but I think it tends to go over Jasper's head to not touch or kiss me all the time. "You'll get over me sooner or later." I lightly teased; it was more of a hope than a tease. What I told him the week after, about me wanting him to be happy because he deserved it, I still meant that.

He chuckled as he placed the almost empty bottle on the counter behind him. He turned back and crossed his arms. "Honestly, I think I'm already am. Slowly but surely." He slightly teased back.

The tease didn't hide what he said. "Wait, what?" I asked. he looked at me. "Who is the lucky girl?" I asked.

He chuckled. "A girl who lives on my floor." He answered.

"Well, out with it." I pushed. He looked at me. "Her name, Edward. What is the girl's name?" I asked.

"Annabelle" he said with a smile. He smiled. It was the one I saw on Rosalie's face when she started dating Emmett. The one I'm sure that was on my face right before Jasper kissed me for the first time. I liked the smile. it was a good smile

"Annabelle?" I repeated. That sounded like my name. Did he do that on purpose?

He looked at me. "Yes, and don't judge me because I actually talked to her before I knew he name so it's not creepy." He answered.

That answers that question with a good answer. I laughed. "I didn't say it was; unless you call her 'Bella' or 'Belle." I replied.

He gave a playful eye roll in return. "No, smartass; I call her Anna."

"So she lives on your floor?" I asked. he nodded. "So, did you meet her than realize she was lived on your floor, or what happened?" I asked.

"We…" he stopped.

"What?" I asked. Why did he stop?

"I don't think I can talk to you about this." He answered.

"Yes, you can." I told him. it wasn't like I was in love him. it wasn't like I didn't want him with me, but I didn't want him to be happy. I would love for him to as happy; maybe even happier than me. it would make me feel better. I know it's been two years, but I still felt bad that I didn't return the feelings. "I'm your friend and no different than Jasper or Emmett." I told him.

He chuckled. "Yes you are." He noted.

"How?" I asked.

"Simple, you don't you're a guy." He answered.

I rolled my eyes. "Don't be such a sexist. If you don't tell me, I'll go ask Alice because I'm sure she knows." I said. I was sure she would tell me because I think she was just as happy, no happier that he found someone other than me. actually, I think she was just happy he was with someone else besides Tanya. and if Alice was at his school as much as he said, I'm sure she meant her already.

He sighed. "Fine." he gave in. "I kinda helped her move in at beginning of the year." he stopped again and chuckled. "We kinda bonded over her Dallas Cowboy collection. It was when I found out she's a football girl. She comes to all the games and cheer for me the loudest. I hear her with my helmet on." He chuckled.

"So she's a cheerleader like Tanya." I asked, knowing that was her job. I can't say I was surprise that was girl he went after, just a little disappoint. I thought he learned his lesson with her.

He stopped smiling and gave a look that was almost disgusted. "Hell, no; cheerleader, yeah, but not in the sense Tanya was. Anna chees in the stands, not in an uniform." He answered. He shook his head. "she's nothing like Tanya." He looked at me. "She kinda reminds me of you." He said.

"How?" I asked.

"She's really smart and doesn't know how damn cute she can be." He answered.

"Well, you sound like you like her." I said.

He nodded. "I do. We've been hanging out all school year. she's a cool person. She's even coming to Seattle sometime this summer."

"Where does she live?" I asked.

"Chicago." He answered.

"And she's coming all the way over her to see you?" I asked. scratched that, she must really like him.

He chuckled. "The old me would've said of course, but no. her dad is doing business here and she coming with him. she said we could hang out when they do and she wanted me to meet her dad because he went to Notre Dame. But I told her I wasn't sure." he said.

"What?" I exclaimed. After all that? "Why not? It's not because I'm here, is it?" I asked.

He rolled his eyes. "Get over yourself. I told you I'm getting over that." he reminded.

"Then why?" I asked.

He looked at me. "I didn't lie, I am getting over it. But I don't think it's really fair to her to be anything more than friends if I'm not fully over it." he answered.

I sighed. "The only way to get over me is to move forward with her." I told him.

"Why the hell do you care about this so much?" he asked.

"Because Edward, you are my friend. I don't know how many times I need to say that for you to get that I want you to be happy. And since it can't be with me, I really want it to be with someone else. Give that girl a chance." I replied.

He looked away. "You sound like Alice." he mumbled.

"She's a smart girl." I told him.

He gave a shrug before reaching behind him to grab his bottle. "I guess." He replied before drinking from it. I saw he didn't believe me. I sighed hard. I couldn't handle this. I couldn't take the look of his face. I couldn't take him thinking he would never love like he said he loves me. He would never know if he didn't even freaking try. He was friends with her, that was great, but he needed to go further. It's been a year. What if she tries someone else of the summer? I mean, the girl was coming all the way from Chicago. He could at least give her a call. But I don't think he was going to; not when he knows I'm here. It was time to take matters in my own hands.

I reached in his pocket that was closest to me. When I couldn't find what I was looking for in that one, I looked in the other one. "Bella, what the hell are you doing?" he demanded.

"Looking for something." I answered. Then I found it and pulled out his phone. It had a password protection on it. I guessed his birthday and it unlocked. Wow, that was easy; but Edward was never really a complex person. I went to his contacts and found her name. it was easy because she was on the first and only "A" there. I clicked on it and pressed the phone to my ear.

It rang and rang before a female picked up. "Hello?"

"Hi, is this Anna?" I asked

"What the hell are you doing?" he said again. This time in a hush snap.

I held up a finger. He reached for the phone and stepped away from him. "Yes; my phone said Edward Cullen was calling. I'm sorry, but who is this?" she asked.

"Don't worry, I'm a friend of his. Anyways, he told me you were coming to Seattle." I told her.

"Yeah, my dad was coming on business. I wanted them to meet each other, but I don't think I'm coming." She said.

"Oh, why not?" I asked.

"When I told Edward, he didn't seem as excited as I thought he would be. I didn't think he wanted me to come or see me outside of school. I don't think he likes me; well, not the way I like him." she answered. I wanted to laugh. Wow, she did sound like me. maybe he as a type that wasn't the cheerleader.

"He does; he just going through some things."

"Bella, don't fucking tell her that." Edward snapped at me. I looked at him. "Just give me the damn phone." He added. I moved out of his reach again.

"When are you coming?" I asked Anna.

"Um…I think sometime June. When I told Edward, he said it was around his birthday."

"It is." I assured her.

"Actually was that him in the background?" she asked, I guess referring to when he was snapping at me.

"Yes, it as would you like to talk him."

"Sure, if he wants to." She said. I heard the smile in her voice. She really did like him. Edward had a girl who obviously had a big crush on him. he as just to stupid to realized it. now I was glad I called her.

I smiled back. "He does. Hold on." I walked over to Edward.

"What did she say?" he asked.

"She wants to talk to you." I told him before handing him the phone. He took it and looked at me. "Just talk to her. we'll be in the living room when you're done." I told him before grabbing the plates and leaving the kitchen.

"About time. where's Edward?" Alice said as I walked into the living room placed the plates on the small table.

"He's on the phone."

"Is he talking to Annabelle?" she asked. So I was right; she did know about her. I turned to her and nodded. Alice smiled. "Good. I've been trying to get him to call her since he came home. I like her. she's good for him." she said. sounds like what I was saying.

I sat down on the couch next to Jasper and took the turtle from his hand. I will have to come up with a name for it. When I did, Jasper put his finger in his mouth. "What's wrong?" I asked.

"Emma was holding it and it started doing something weird with his mouth so I took back. Then it bit me." he complained.

I chuckled at him. "When did he eat?"

"Probably yesterday, right before I got him." he answered. He looked at me. "Hey, Belle, what do turtles eat?" he asked.

"Lettuce, turtle food, things like that. why?" I asked.

"I think we need to go to the pet store." He said.

"You didn't get food when you got him?" I asked. no wonder he bit Jasper. He was hungry. I would bit him if he didn't feed me in a day.

"I didn't get him a cage. I was going to take it back if you said no. I figured you would want to do all that." he answered. It was a good answered because I did want go and look at the turtle supplies and guess which ones were best. Though I wished my new pet was properly taking care of before I got him.

I rolled my eyes. Just like I thought, it was an impulse buy. He should really think things through more sometimes. . "Fine." I turned to Alice. "You mind if we go?" I asked.

She sighed hard. "I guess not. are you guys coming back?" she asked.

I nodded. "If not tonight, tomorrow for sure." I told her before hugging her. "Congrats." I told her as I pulled away.

"Thanks." She said before Jasper and I got off the couch.

Right before we got ready to walk out the door, Edward came in with the cake and a smile on his face. The others started cutting into it when he placed on the coffee table. He looked at Jasper and me. He walked other to us. I told Jasper I would meet him at the car. I turned back to Edward. "You guys leaving?" he asked.

I nodded. "Jasper forgot to buy turtle food so we're going to get some. Is everything okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, she was actually waiting for my call. I was thinking while I was talking to her that maybe you're right.

I smiled. That's what I wanted to hear. "You just needed a little pushed."

He chuckled. "Well, thanks; you're a good friend. You've always have been" He said before hugging me.

"Bella, this thing is trying to bit me again." Jasper yelled to me.

I turned towards the door. "Put him back in th box." I told him. Jasper did what I told him.

Edward chuckled. "Good luck with that."

I laughed back. "Thanks. You too." I removed myself and walked to the door.

"Hey." He stopped me before I walked through. I turned to him. "I love you." He said. I noticed the wording difference. I think he really as getting over me.

I chuckled. "Love you too." I said before leaving.
