A virtual high-five to BlueVanillaDetective, Lady Cougar-Trombone, BTRlover1122, Rodrigo, AllAmericanSlurp and shejams for answering correctly! Bree does have the new ability of turning invisible.

Please enjoy this next entry! Easily became one of my favorites from the Season Three tags. :)

Chronicle #041

"Chasmic"

Adam,

I know you're wondering why this Chronicle is addressed to you, so let me come right out and admit this: I know you've been reading the entries. I saw you going through this notebook two weeks ago. You were in the library. I still don't know how you found it, but be assured that after this you will never find this notebook ever again.

Don't worry. I won't tell Bree or Chase anything. You don't have to read your own entries out loud as a penalty because, actually, I want you to read what I have to say. We never really spoke about rules regarding sharing, so we should be good, right?

Okay. So here's the deal: I'm writing to you because Chase told us what happened. I know at this point you probably already feel bad about everything. Big D grounded you, Mom made you clean up the mess, and Bree and Chase are not talking to you. I'm not going to add more to the guilt you're already feeling by saying why you should or should not have done what you did and what you should do next. I'll leave all of that deep thinking and deciding to you.

But, I will say that I understand the situation you were in. I have felt that way before and like you, I resorted to sabotage. Remember Danielle? I was head over heels for that girl. I really liked her. Then when I tried to get you and Chase to help me so she would like me, she ended up falling for you guys. I was very angry, as I know you were when you found out that Sabrina liked Chase. I mean, I guess feeling that way is normal.

Then again, although it may be normal, it doesn't mean that it's right.

You know, history is very notorious for repeating itself, Adam, and I think it pulled a quick one on you and Chase. The situation may have been somewhat different, but it still ended up with the same result: someone got hurt. And by someone I don't mean Big D's 32" HD TV that he's lamenting over now. By someone, I meant Chase. As in, fights-you-and-for-you, pokes-fun-at-you-but-would-not-let-anybody-treat-you-wrong Chase. That guy.

Look, I don't know what's going on with the two of you lately. You've been fighting like nobody's business. That's not good. Chase is a part of your support system, like you are to him. We may not have enemies against us now, but tearing each other apart is never a good idea anyways. Divisions, chasms, weaken all bonds, and when bonds are weak they're easier to attack. Some attacks, when strong enough, destroy. I'm sure that's not how you want your relationship with your little brother to end up, destroyed.

I understand that Chase doesn't make it easy. He's hopelessly a nerd and has the patent Davenport complex (which, ironically, in so many ways, is very related to the Dooley complex), but he's also a very good guy. In every mission, he makes sure you and Bree are safe. He helps you out when he can. He got you out of trouble that one time when you accidentally fried Big D's cyberdesk, remember? He fixed it for you, and until now no one has noticed that something has happened to it.

There's no denying that Chase loves you and respects you as his big brother. Do you think that maybe, possibly, as his big brother, you can let him end up with Sabrina? She's the first girl who's ever shown interest solely on him. She's nice, she's pretty, and she's smart. Doesn't Chase deserve nice, pretty and smart?

Of course, you do too, Adam. I'm sure your nice, pretty and smart is somewhere out there. You may need to wait a little bit longer for her, but she'll come.

I'm confident that you got this and that everything will play out fine. I know you're already thinking of a solution, so I'll just wish you the best.

Your brother,

Leo

P.S: Don't try to look for this notebook again, Adam. I'm serious.

In Spike Fright, what food did Principal Perry serve Donald, Bree and Leo? Answers and reviews are much appreciated!
