This has got to be the worst first day in school in my life.
So you know how I thought yesterday that I'm going to be a mentor? Yeah, well, I'm wrong. Very, very wrong. All of the plans I have, all of the things I looked forward to all went down in flames – and in a tremendously embarrassing way, too. While the rest of my family will be wearing these white, mentor suits throughout, I will be wearing a student uniform with yellow patches on the shoulders.

That's not even what's bad about it. All students had been assessed on their levels, and I got placed into beginners. Big D said that it's because I've only had my bionic arm for six months, but that's six months more than these other kids! And it's not like I've never had training; Douglas and I had been working in controlling my bionics. I've put a lot of hard work into that, but Big D just keeps brushing me off whenever I tell him. He just keeps telling me to stop complaining.
It's not like Adam, Bree or Chase listen either. Why would they? They have their own little cliques now, and they're the popular kids there.
I mean, how does that happen? How do I go from being an outcast to being part of a team to being an outcast of the outcasts in a matter of three days? Mission Creek High School had a hoard of bullies who regularly went after me, but at least there I had some kind of place.
I hate this. I just really, really hate this.

The Chase Chronicles
Name one of the two youngest students in the Bionic Academy who were introduced in this episode. Reviews and comments are always welcome!
We haven't done recs in a while, so here's one: Melancholy's Sunshine's fic, "Spreading". Takes place very late Season Three and is a Leo, Chase/Spike friendship story. Definitely one of the BEST fics out there, especially for readers looking for great Leo-centric stories. It's got nice bits of Chase/Spike, too, quite honestly. I won't ruin the experience of reading by spoiling, but goodness gracious does it have plot twists. It also crosses over with a certain popular Universe, so know that this fic will not disappoint should you give it a try. ;)
