The Chosen Aura of Kanto Chapter 4

AN: Ok I know that I have a ton of apologizing for being so far behind in my updates, but with being a high school student taking college classes while finishing his senior year is really tiring/time consuming. So between college essay, scholarship essays, and my senior paper. Writing was not something I wanted to do. Also I can't promise regular updates since I have a lot on my plate to graduate, so I'll try to when I can but no promises of when that will be. Also there is a new poll up it is pretty important to the story so please check it out

Previously: Ash started his journey, attacked by Spearow, saw Ho-oh, caught Gyarados, and met Misty Also I am making ash thirteen now instead of ten cause it makes the story flow better.

Now: skipping the team rocket pokemon center thing. We all know it I just don't feel like writing it. It did happen I am just too busy/lazy to write it. Misty is now traveling with Ash they just made it out of Viridian Forest I am not writing Viridian Forest because it happened the same way as it did in the anime. Ash caught Caterpie who is now a Metapod, because they didn't get lost. He also got Pidgeotto.

Their move sets are Metapod: tackle, string shot, and harden.

Pidgeotto: tackle, sand attack, gust, quick attack, pursuit, and faint attack.

The reasons for this are that Metapod can't learn much till fully evolved, and Pidgeotto already evolved one stage so it's a little bit stronger and the egg moves would help achieve that. Now we join Ash and Misty in Pewter City in the training fields behind the pokemon center. Oh they did meet Flint, and all that happened so far Ash is just using this day to prepare for the gym battle.

"That away Riolu you almost got High Jump Kick down just work a little bit more on the accuracy." Ash encouraged his pokemon as he went around observing their training. Golett was working on Shadow punch because it still took a little too long to charge up. Pikachu was trying to use more electricity to turn his thundershock into thunderbolt. Pidgeotto was working on twister after Gyarados had showed her how to a couple of times, but so far all that she could make was a small duct devil, but with practice and more power she would have it done in a few days. Gyarados was having a slight problem with focusing enough icy energy into her fangs for (duh!) Ice fang, but like Pidgeotto it wouldn't be too long before she got it working.

Ash had just made it to Metapod who was sitting dejectedly watching the other Pokemon train, wishing to be more powerful, to be able to train, to prove his worth, because he didn't want to be abandoned. He was just a little Metapod what could he do sure he beat team rocket but they weren't expecting it and were tied up by string shot before they could fight back. So why did Ash want him on his team of powerful pokemon. They could all evolve into strong, powerful, and fast pokemon he was just a bug. While thinking this Ash had sat down next to Metapod. "Hey Metapod don't worry, soon you will be a beautiful Butterfree. And you can train to your heart's content. You will be the strongest Butterfree in history." Ash said this with such conviction that Metapod was starting to believe it, and he was grateful that it was Ash that caught him. Any other human wouldn't want to take the time to try to train him, but here was Ash doing everything he could, cheering him up, and putting his faith in him. Ash had kept talking while these thought raged inside Metapod.

"While you may not be as strong as Gyarados physically, or as fast as Pikachu, or as strong defensively as Golett and Riolu will be when they evolve. You will be strong in your ability to fly, attack from a distance, and hamper the enemy with status effects. As a Butterfree you can poison, paralyze, and put enemies to sleep then finish them off. Even Gyarados can be beaten by poison, or paralyzed to the point it can't fight back. So that is what makes you so special." Metapod was staring at Ash with tears in his eyes at hearing how much Ash believed he would be able to do. "Now I am going to go see if I can help the others a little bit more. " with that Ash left Metapod sitting there dreaming of the day he would evolve, not if, but when Ash had made him eager and confident that he belonged he had a place.

The next day

"Hello my name is Ash Ketchum, and I am here for a Gym Battle. " Ash announced as he walked into the Pewter City Gym with Pikachu on his shoulder and Misty right behind him.

"I'm Brock the Pewter City Gym Leader and I accept your challenge" came the reply from the dark when suddenly the lights turn on showing a guy only a couple years Ash's senior. Suddenly the floor moved as a rocky battle field took place of the tiled floor. A referee comes out and takes his position. Ash and Brock step into the trainers boxes.

"The Gym battle between the challenger Ash Ketchum form Pallet town and Brock Stone the Gym leader will now commence. Both sides will use two pokemon, only the challenger may substitute pokemon. Are both trainers ready?" The referee asked. When he got a nod from both he said, "Battle begin!" they each threw out a pokeball.

From Brock's pokeball emerged what looked like a small boulder with two muscular arms. With a cry of Geo! Dude!

Whereas from Ash's Golett emerged, took a fighting stance, and cried out Gol! Gol! Lett!

Geodude use Rock Throw! Brock called out.

Golett you use gravity around that rock! Ash countered. The gravity under the flying rock became too strong and the rock dropped like well a rock.

If ranged attacks won't work we will just have to get physical, Geodude use Mega Punch! Brock shouted.

Ash patiently waited for Geodude to make its attack. Brock was surprised when the attack did nothing. "Did you forget that Golett is a ghost type and that normal type moves like mega punch won't work on him. "Quick while he is close Golett use Ice punch!" Ash retaliated.

"No Geodude use Rollout to get away!" Brock called out desperately. He knew that while it wasn't as damaging as a water or grass type attack, it still did significant damage.

"Don't let up Golett keep using Ice Punch!" Ash encouraged his pokemon to press the advantage. Unfortunately the speed Geodude had built up using rollout was enough to give it some breathing room.

"Now use Sandstorm!" Brock called out.

"Golett charge through and use Ice Punch!" Ash shouted. However when Golett got to where Geodude was there was nothing but a hole. "It used Dig; Golett stop and look out for where he might come out. " Ash told his faithful pokemon, who nodded to show he understood. It was at that moment that Geodude struck Golett from directly underneath. Golett didn't take much damage though being a ground type and all. Though Geodude was quick to dig another hole.

"Grr if it keeps this up long enough the damage will build up; I have to figure something out." Ash thought to himself while watching Golett try and use Pound on the annoying rock type. "That's it Golett use Pound on the area around the holes. Golett did as told using pound relentlessly on the areas around all the holes. Meanwhile Brock was wondering what Ash was up to. Only to realize too late what he was planning. With the holes collapsing Geodude had to flee out from their protection only to be met with a face full of Ice Punch.

"Geodude is unable to battle, Golett is the winner!" the referee called out while raising the correct flag. "Gym leader please send out your last pokemon." Brock grabbed another pokeball and threw it, "Onix go!"

Out of the pokeball came a large snake like pokemon made up of several boulders the smallest at the tip of the tail and the biggest at the head. It roared as it burst forth. Ash seeing that Golett was tiring from the tough fight with Geodude, raised a pokeball and recalled him. Throwing out another pokeball he called out "Riolu lets show that snake, just who he is messing with." the small jackal like pokemon nodded with a look of determination on its face.

"Let's start this off with Bullet Punch Riolu!" Ash called out as he decided to attack first this time. With the extra gravity Onix was slower than normal, but being so small Riolu wasn't as effected. So the speedy Bullet Punch hit its mark causing some descent damage to Onix.

But then Brock countered with."Onix use Rock Tomb!" Rooaaar. Onix roared as it hurled the massive boulder s at Riolu in an attempt to trap the speedy pokemon.

"Dodge with Quick Attack then give him a Force Palm! Ash quickly shouted. Knowing that speed was his best weapon against the mighty rock snake.

Onix roared in pain from the super effective fighting move. But then Brock called out his attack, "Quick use Dragon Breath! " A stream of bluish green flames engulfed Riolu. When they dissipated Riolu was on one knee with sparks flying off him.

"Come on Riolu, I know you can do it just a little more." Ash called out desperately. With a strong determination to not let his trainer. . . his friend down Riolu slowly stood up only to be engulfed in a bright light. When it died down there stood a proud and tall Lucario. He leapt up, flipped, and used Hi Jump Kick right into the side of the horn on Onix's head. With a final roar of pain and defeat the behemoth of a pokemon fell with a loud thud and a cloud of dust.

"Onix is unable to battle, which means the challenger is the winner." The referee declares. Ash runs out and gives Lucario a big hug, though being careful of the big spike on his chest. "we did it Lucario and you evolved great job buddy congrats." After breaking the hug he said, "now take a good rest you deserve it.

Ok speeding by everything else.
