X-Naut Fortress (Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door)

Everyone walked out of the elevator as they looked around the spacious building. "Good lord, it's gonna take forever to find the Crystal Star." Lightning said.

Kirby then smiled and had an idea. "Poyo! Poyo poyo!" He smiled.

"Translation?" Sora asked.

"He says we should split up so we don't have to spend the whole entire time here for the rest of our lives." Mario explained.

"Hey, that's a good idea!" Sora exclaimed as everyone else nodded. "Let's do it!"

Team One: Mario, Sora, Vivian and Lightning

Team Two: Goombella, Yoshi, Donald and Goofy

Team Three: Koops, Flurrie, Bobbery

Team Four: Luma and Kirby

"Let's go." Sora said as his team went down all the way to the bottom floor.

Koops walked around with his team as they opened a door. "Oh. It's just a science lab with a machine."

"HEY! What are you doing in here?!" A scientist X-Naut exclaimed.

"Oh boy..." Koops said.

"Allow me." Bobbery said as he ran straight to him and blew up, and also damaging the machine.

"No fair...I wasn't ready." The X-Naut said in defeat.

"Nothing in here? Oh well." Flurrie said.

Team two walked in Grodus' HQ room as they looked around. "Okay, anything in here?" Goombella asked as they walked around.

They noticed a door behind Grodus' computer. "I wonder what's in there." Goofy said as they walked in the room.

"I wonder if someone would do a prank like this." Yoshi said, looking at the carpet.

"I'd laugh if Kairi did something like that." Donald said as Goofy walked to the computer and picked up a card key.

"Hey, this could be something useful." Goofy said as he picked it up.

Kirby opened up a door to see a treasure chest in the distance. "Hey!" Luma exclaimed as the two smiled as they floated over to pick it up, as the electrified floor deactivated.

"Poyo!" Kirby exclaimed as the duo ran back to the door.

Sora and the others went down to the main elevator as they walked to the left. "So is there any reason why we came down here?" Lightning asked.

"Just a feeling." Sora said as they came across two doors. One of them said "Kairi's room" and another door saying "Peach's room" on it.

"OH YEAH!" Mario and Sora yelled at the same time as they both went in the two doors as Vivian and Lightning followed them.

"Kairi?" Sora asked, as he looked around. "Odd, I thought she was here."

"Maybe she's in Peach's room?" Vivian wondered.

Mario noticed a note on Peach's bed and picked it up. "Nice room." Lightning said as Mario growled in annoyance and crumpled up the piece of paper. "Something wrong?" She asked.

"Here...read it." Mario ordered in annoyance as he handed her the piece of paper.

"Dear Mario, if you're reading this, then Princess Peach is in a different area along with the Princess of Heart. HA! LOSER! – Grodus." Lightning read.

"Okay? I don't see your problem even though Grodus took Peach and Kairi somewhere else and we wasted our time in this room." Lightning said.

"It reminded me of a certain someone who said 'Sorry, but the princess is in another castle'." Mario said, imitating the voice perfectly.

Meanwhile...

Toad Town (Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story)

"Some story..." Toad said.

"I know...I just wish I could travel with Mario but NOOOOO, I get sent back every freaking time." Toadette said.

Suddenly, Toad looked away with a raised eyebrow. "Why do I have this feeling someone used my line?"

"Uh...what line?" Toadette asked.

Back at the base...

X-Naut Fortress

"Okay then." Lightning said as they walked out, noticing another door.

"Hey, I wonder..." Sora said as he tried to open the door, but nothing. "Dang it...it's locked." He said.

"Well let's just go back up, since Peach and Kairi are no longer here." Vivian said and sighed. "We were so close too..."

Donald walked in the dressing room. "Okay, a dead end." He said.

"Hang on." Goombella said, walking to some notes. "Look at these notes." She said.

"Left, Right, Middle. Do not forget." Goofy read.

"Today's code is 014029. Do not forget." Yoshi read as they tore off the notes. "This might actually be useful, so it's not a total loss." He said.

Team Three walked in a room, only to see a Thwomp. "Great, dead end." Koops muttered.

"...I wonder." Bobbery said as he poked the Thwomp, as it's eyes opened up.

"HOLY GEEZ! WE WOKE IT UP!" Koops yelled.

"Hey, if you want this card key, then you must defeat me in a quiz. Get three right and you win, get three wrong and you suffer something horrible. You up for it?" The Thwomp asked.

"Um, sure..." Koops said.

"Alright! Let's get this started!" The Thwomp exclaimed as the whole room glowed, turning into a quiz show.

"Wait, where the heck are we?" Flurrie asked.

"Hello folks! Welcome to the 66th Annual Quirk Quiz! Let's get this started!" The Thwomp exclaimed. "Question one: Where is Princess Daisy currently at? A: Sarasaland, B: The Waffle Kingdom, C: Mobius or D: The Mushroom Kingdom?"

"Let's see...Luigi made no mention of the Waffle Kingdom in his story, so the Waffle Kingdom is out..." Koops said, thinking.

"I think she's at Sarasaland." Flurrie said.

"WRONG! She's currently at The Waffle Kingdom!" The Thwomp exclaimed.

"Remind me to yell at Luigi once we bump into him again." Koops said.

"Question two: Who is the fastest thing alive? Is it A: Shadow the Hedgehog, B: Sonic the Hedgehog, C: Yoshi, or D: A Rapidash?

"Oh good lord..." Koops said.

"I say it's Sonic." Bobbery said.

"DANG IT...you're correct. But it'll get MUCH harder from here!" It exclaimed. "Question three: What character was JUST announced for the Smash Mansion for Smash Bros? Is it A: Palutena, B: Mewtwo, C: Shulk, or D: Greninja?"

"Last time I heard, Mewtwo was the world's most powerful Pokemon, so it's got to be him." Flurrie said.

"WRONG! It's Greninja. Two wrong and one right. I see where this is headed. Question Four: Who is Luigi's nemesis? A: His terrible luck, B: King Boo, C: Bowser, or D: Waluigi?

"His terrible luck? Duuuude, that is just mean on so many levels." Koops muttered. "Besides, Mario told me that Waluigi just likes to pick on Luigi. So it's King Boo." Koops said.

"Oh for crying out loud, how did you manage to get THAT right? Alright, final question: Who...is Wendy Marvell's cat? Is it A: Happy, B: Meow-Wow, C: Carla, or D: Delcatty?"

"Luigi said nothing about this Wendy girl having a cat, but if my memory serves right, it's probably Carla." Bobbery said.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" The Thwomp exclaimed. "HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY GET THAT RIGHT?!" He exclaimed as the whole place turned back to normal.

"Take this...you killjoys." He said as a card dropped. "Losers." He said.

"Well...that happened." Koops said as he picked up the card. "Well, let's go find the others now." He said.

A little while later after everyone regrouped...

"Poyo?" Kirby asked Mario.

"...Peach isn't here." Mario told him.

"Poyo..." Kirby said with a sad look in his eyes as they were at a door with three panels.

"Let's see...left, right...middle...right?" Yoshi asked as they put the cards in. "Ah yeah!"

"Please put in the code." A computer voice said.

"014029" Yoshi said.

"Accepted." The voice said as the door opened.

"That was easy." Sora said as they all ran in.

I thought of everyone splitting into teams. That way, it'd be much easier than just going to every single room at once. It'd make the whole chapter TOO LONG!
