Here is a present for all my loyal readers. Turns out I had this chapter ready to go but had forgotten to post it. The next instalment of this story is still in the works but will hopefully be up in the next two weeks. I'm still reading over the story as I've pretty much lost track of exactly where I left it off but I will upload soon.
Sailor FoxFire
Arc Chapter 2: Sailor FoxFire's Loom Room
After getting up this morning I had a strange feeling. I couldn't place it but it was there and I wasn't happy. Not a good way to start the morning is it? So anyway after my coffee I went to my loom room to begin working. I seriously need to schedule things better. I just realized it's been months since I checked on Lois and Clark… I thought. Luthor could have won a fight without my intervention and I've just been sitting here. Oh well that's what happens when I take on 3 different worlds that don't comingle, but what are you gonna do. When I opened the door to my loom room I was in for… a… SHOCK!
THE LOOM HAS BEEN DESTROYED!
My rage could not be contained. Summoning my book of destiny I read back to see who the culprit was… DARKSIDE and ZOD. I should have known!
"SUPERMAN!" I yelled, and felt a little ridiculous but the name appeared in my book and with that Clark appeared beside me.
"So you finally decided to remember my name huh?" Superman said annoyed. I was in no mood for him so I blasted him with lightning, not that it would do anything but hey. "Testy aren't we?" He looked around, confused. "What happened here?"
"That's why I called you, idiot. Zod and Darkside escaped the fire pit."
He looked confused. "How in the hell did they do that? And why destroy the loom room?" He looks around. "Come to think of it how did they even get in here? And it's destruction why you've ignored us so long?"
Fox hangs her head. "After the award's ceremony I HAD to put the fire pit in here. No choice, rules are rules. I had to keep them contained. How they destroyed the loom, well, it's ancient. My many times predecessors the original fates used it to weave the fate of mortals and immortals. But it's been centuries since it's been used. I was thinking of sending it to the Smithsonian to be honest. We no longer use it. That's what computers are for. And I haven't been ignoring you. I've had no choice I have two parallel universes and another universe to boot to deal with now. You aren't my only story so just deal with it. I've finally caught up with the messes in the other universes and can deal with your messes. Or I could just scrap the story if you want… One less for me to deal with!" Fox said glaring at Clark.
"Oh please no I really want to adopt Kala," he pleaded.
Fox sighed. "Only because I promised her…. Anyway, I need you to track your buddies down and deal with them while I fix that look. And make sure to keep them away from my office. If they find my computer we're all done for. Superman agreed and ran out to search the house. "I do know they are here. Without me to open a path there's a void in the world since I exist outside of time. Oh well. With a few strokes of her pen on the book of destiny the room was restored. "I so wish I could just write that I found and punished them and make it so but there are rules and rules…
"OH HANG THE RULES! I'M NOT HAPPY!"
With that, Fox opened her book to a blank page and started scribbling even as the story unfolded in the book. Since the rules that can't be broken, lest she loose her powers, can be bent, well…
Superman searched frantically through the house of the weaver. He was afraid that they were too late and the villains had gotten a hold of her computer. Room after room passed in a blur but his quarry was nowhere to be found. Fearing the worst Superman doubled back to check the other wing from the loom room. Again all rooms were empty until at last he came to a golden door. Instinctively he knew that this was FoxFire's office. It was the last place to search and the worst idea. Opening the door Superman found the villains ransacking the office.
"SUPERMAN!" both yelled turning to the opening of the door.
A kryptonite blade was pulled from Darkside's pocket, it's radiation also taking out Zod in the process. Superman fell to his knees
Foxfire struck that line out of the book.
For once the Kryptonite had no effect on Superman. Though in his realm it was a weapon against him, having been summoned by the weaver her world extends its protection to him. Superman was shocked at not being rendered powerless by the deadly mineral but knew instinctively he was being given help by the weaver.
"Stop right there Darkside," he called powerfully.
Darkside looked at the kryptonite in his hand and at his partner in crime having a seizure on the floor.
"How…?" Was all he could say.
Fox's voice thundered in the air. "As I summoned him to my realm I extend my protection to him. Let Zod feel all the effects of the poison and render you powerless in my real. Superman bring them back to the pit."
Superman moved to Darkside who tried to fend him off he got in a good hit to Superman's solar plexus breaking a rib on the young heroe
Darkside tried to fend him off but he was rendered powerless by the decree of the Weaver and Superman quickly overpowered him.
Superman dragged the two villains back to the loom room.
"Well, well, well if it isn't my naughty uninvited guests," Fox said as the door opened before Superman who promptly dragged the two inside. "Foiled again boys. Did you think that destroying the loom would take away my power over you?"
"Uhhh…" Fox gagged them to silence.
"Well news flash, this is the 21th century and everyone and their grandma uses a computer. Why should I be any different. The loom over there is merely a nostalgic antic. And long ago I took a page out of the rule book of the heroes of another series and stored my computer in my subspace pocket for easy access." With that said she reached into the air and pulled out a black computer. "Looking for this? It writes your fates after all."
Neither could move towards it though it was clear in their eyes that they wanted it. "As you have disobeyed my orders. I sentence you to death…"
"YAY" Superman yelled jumping up and down.
"Until I have need of you. Hades, ruler of the underworld I summon you." With that hades appeared beside her even as a fork of lightning struck the villains. Their screams of pain were cut shot as their hears stopped beating. "A gift ancestor. Two more souls for your tortures in Tartarus."
Hades smiled. "I have waited a long time for them. They have a special place reserved for their torment," he grinned gathering the souls as the bodies disappeared.
"Fox," Superman spoke up. "I think I need to point one thing out. If these two escaped your fire pit, the others could as well and cause you trouble."
Fox nodded. He had a point. She summoned the fire pit from the furthest side of the room to her side and the all looked inside. Sure enough, the villains were trying to climb out and Doomsday was near the edge. "For your misbehavior you will join Zod and Darkside in their torment," she said simply. All of a sudden the fire pit reversed and spat out all the villains bit before they could so much as move a hunger pack of wolves appeared out of nowhere and dismembered Luthor. As the others looked on in horror, lightning struck and Doomsday burnt to a cinder. The others were wiser and ran but then the wolves became jackals and promptly tore into them killing them all in one fell swoop.
"You know, sweetie, I like your style," Hades chuckled as he gathered the souls. "Sure you don't want to play with them some more. I think my tortures in Tartarus might be a day spa compared with what you'd do to them."
Fox shook her head. "I have too much work to do to bother with them."
Hades grinned. "Well if you change your mind you know where your toys are." With that Hades vanished.
"Is he really your ancestor?" Superman wondered.
Fox nodded. "Many, many times removed but yes. The ancient gods are ancestors to all Sailor Scouts."
"The who?"
"You'll meet them soon," was all she said. With that she banished him back to his real. "No maybe I can get some work done. With that Fox appeared at her desk and started reading and writing the fates assigned to her command.
