hitomi65: great chapter
Reply: so….short…the agony! But hey, at least you reviewed.
ZZ960107: That was the hottest thing I've ever read really bolder than a public intimate wow thanks and update when u can
Reply: the hottest thing you have ever read, Hm? I don't think I would go that far but okay. And I updated! Aren't you proud of me honey!?
SailorKickass270: YAAAAAAAAAY! THEY FOUND EACH OTHER! HAPPINESS...and then there's Nina... e.e and I honestly didn't know Nina wasn't with them. But I read this while in my BCIS class and I was super tired, bored and trying to keep up at the same time... but even if I had been reading this fully alert, I probably still wouldn't have noticed that she was absent since I honestly don't care much for her. Yeah... Sorry, Nina! This was a good chapter though! I know this should be the least of my worries, but poor horses! They didn't do jack! DDX and I'm also confused about the question you asked involving N.E.K.O... But I guess I'll just go message you. Why wait until you post the next chapter? X3
Reply: I think a lot of people don't even notice Nina but hey, she'll be pretty important in future chapters. But are you reaaally sorry for her? I mean, really, reaaally? Well, if it makes you feel any better, the wolves were pretty hungry and, in this chapter, they are having a feast because of them! Eh? Eh? Are you feeling any better about the horses? True…why wait?
Hitomi: Are you kidding me that was a great chapter. I was so into the story I wasn't paying attention to anything else. I have been waiting for this chapter and was not disappointed. So cute I love Suzaku's and Lelouch's reunion was wonderful. Love Suzaku being so erotic and possessive of Lelouch to the point most were hypnotized by what was going on with them.
Reply: yay! More people thought that that was a good chapter! I—I didn't disappoint you? *sniff sniff* YAY! I'M NOT A DISAPPOINTMENT! TAKE THAT, GRANDMA! Though I have to wonder on your definition of cute since the first few moments of them meeting I had them trying to off one another since they were in the way of their family's protection. I mean, Suzaku bit Lulu's leg for heaven's sake! Btw, if you were so into this story and not focused on anything else, I can officially put this warning sign up!
WARNING: Do not operate heavy machinery while reading or under the influence of this fanfiction. Yes, it is apparently that good.

Running With the Pack
Lelouch did not expect to be having so much fun. The town he and C.C. grew up in was destroyed along with the people there yet he could not help the feelings of happiness and joy that welled up in his chest. Even though it meant leaving his human family behind with their wolf guards, Lelouch simply had to play tag with C.C. and everyone else. He quickly ducked behind a bush and waited for the telltale sign of the brown wolf rushing in behind him. It slightly irritated him how this sexy, I mean, annoying wolf pursued him so much. No matter how many questions he asked or how many times he asked him, the only answer he got was silence and a somewhat sad smile.
Even now, "Are you going to stop following me? Cause if I get caught one more time I swear I will-!"
"Look out!" Suzaku tackled Lelouch right out of the bush just as another wolf crashed into it.
"Damn it! I almost had them!"
"This way," Suzaku said once more before nudging Lelouch in the direction he meant and taking the lead. Lelouch, not knowing that it was his instinct, followed the wolf in whatever direction he deemed. As the trees and bushes became a blur, Lelouch focused his purple eyes onto the wolf before him and ignored the one that was steadily creeping closer from behind. Every move that Suzaku made was carefully copied by Lelouch and soon they managed to lose their pursuer.
When they finally came to a stop, Lelouch realized just how out of breath he was and practically collapsed on the floor. "Hah hah hah hah, how did you, hah hah, know to do that, hah hah hah?" Lelouch didn't really expect him to answer, not really. So, you can imagine his surprise when he did.
"I knew because it was Leila that was chasing us. She would rather create a clever trap than use her strength. Which is natural I guess, since she is small and technically weaker than us."
Lelouch, not wanting to stop talking to the melodious—surprising, he meant surprising, voice, asked another question. "Well then why did she give chase?"
Suzaku sat down and stared at Lelouch with amusement in his eyes. "Because you're an Omega. She probably thought that, after a few yards, you would get scared and surrender. But she forgot that I am an Alpha and as long as an Omega has a trusted Alpha in sight, they will follow that Alpha's lead." This caused Lelouch to sit up and glare at Suzaku with indignation.
"Are you saying that I followed you because I trust you? Or because I had no choice? I have a brain, just so you know! I don't have to follow my instincts if I don't want to!" Lelouch then began to walk away in a huff. Vaguely, he could hear the Alpha whisper something along the lines of "But it hurts a lot less if you do." Of course he ignored it and the fact that the wolf's voice sounded so pained. He also ignored the fact that he felt a lot better when the Alpha began to walk beside him once more.
…
As the sun began to set, all the wolves gathered around the single fire they were able to create. Suzaku, at times, wondered what was so good about having something so destructive warm them at night. Even so, the blaze gave them enough warmth to walk around in their human forms. It would be their last chance now since all the towns that were causing them such pain were gone. As he passed once of the horse carcasses, he had to smile when Gino began to try and play fight with Kallen only to be nipped in the flank for annoying her while she ate the bloody meat. Though he wanted to tear off a piece and head over to the fire to have it be cooked by Monica, he still felt the need to follow Lelouch.
He remembered how, when he and others first changed into their human form, Lelouch began to get all flustered and embarrassed before walking away. Even now the black wolf had his back turned to the most definitely human Suzaku. The brunette felt his wolf instincts scream at him when he realized that Lelouch was leading them towards the captured humans and refrained himself from growling like a jealous Alpha.
He lost the battle when the blonde female in male clothes petted his Lelouch. Lelouch completely ignored him as he grabbed hold of the cloak the female wore and gave a small tug. Suzaku became confused when she nodded before taking it off and tossing it over Lelouch's back. He felt his own eyes widen as he watched Lelouch change from his beautiful wolf form into his human one. From what he could tell, humans would find his Lelouch greatly attractive.
"Thank you, Milly. I think I would die of embarrassment if I had to walk around naked as a newborn baby. Though I'm sorry if it is an inconvenience."
"It's no inconvenience, Lelouch. I'm just glad that your," Milly paused as she snickered lightly, "manhood is no longer sticking out."
"M-Milly!" Lelouch and an orange haired girl both said at the same time. All the while, Suzaku was confused as to why his love was so flustered. While he was contemplating that, Lelouch stiffly walked over to the blue haired human.
"Rivalz, can I have my cloak back?"
After retrieving it, Lelouch walked towards Suzaku and handed it over. "Here put this on." The green eyed Alpha took it cautiously before throwing it over his shoulders and tying it in place.
"Why are you covering yourself with these? It's warm enough to walk around without them and it's not like we all don't know what our bodies look like." Suzaku watched as his mate blushed even more and remembered how he loved getting his Lelouch flustered when they were younger.
"J-just be quiet! It is to keep our dignity intact! Now let's go!" Suzaku gave a small laugh before following. He decided not to mention how C.C. was eating a piece of cooked meat while being naked in her human form. She was surrounded by other males and seemed to love the attention. They both stopped near a horse carcass that was being eaten as they stared. It was one of the only ones that was close to resembling a horse. Every time Lelouch got near it, another wolf would either snap at him or got in his way.
Finally, after ten failed attempts, Suzaku sighed, lightly nudged Lelouch out of his way, and picked up one of the wolves before tossing him away. After that, the other wolves stopped fighting for the food and moved out of Suzaku's as he looked over the carcass. Finally, he chose the meatiest piece he could see (the thigh and some of the buttocks), got a good hold on it and ripped it from its place. He quickly moved out of the way as his comrades began to smell the blood and return to their frenzy.
When he turned back to the black haired Omega, he smiled and lifted up the meat he was able to retrieve. "Are you willing to share or should I get another piece for myself?" Lelouch, who had been gawking somewhat at that point, promptly closed his mouth and tried to take the horse meat.
"Um, we can eat it together. I doubt I would be able to finish this myself. And here, let me take it." This caused Suzaku to smile as he let go of the bloody meat. Lelouch, not very strong and not expecting it, nearly dropped their dinner as he tried to take on the weight of it all. "Never mind, here take it back. Take it back!" Suzaku chuckled as he took the meat and walked towards the fire.
"Do you like it raw or cooked?"
Lelouch followed him feeling something stronger than affection fill his chest. "Is it alright if we cook it? I'm more used to that then eating it raw and I don't want it coming back up if I'm not ready for it." Suzaku chuckled once more before getting close to Monica. As Suzaku asked the Beta to cook it, Lelouch decided to sit on an empty spot of dirt. He closed his eyes and merely let the fire warm his body. When he sensed someone above him, he opened his eyes and looked up to find the black haired woman from before.
"Have you eaten anything yet?" Marianne asked him as she sat down.
Lelouch immediately looked away as she sat down; realizing that she was completely naked. "Um, h-he's cooking some meat for me," he replied before nodding to the brunette. Marianne stayed quiet, feeling dread slowly well up in her stomach.
"Lelouch, tell me if I am right or if I am utterly wrong but, I get the feeling that you don't remember who we are."
The young Omega felt himself freeze before he slumped down. "Is it that obvious?" When Lelouch turned back to the woman with a hollow smile he was surprised to see her looking like she was about to cry. "Is there something the matt-?"
"I'm your mother."
To Lelouch, the entire world seemed to have disappeared and the only thing that was left was this woman before him.
"You're my….my mother?"
Marianne smiled but she looked to the ground as she remembered the times when she still had to worry about taking care of her Lelouch and making sure that he had a place among their packmates. "I remember you used to snuggle into my fur during storms and cry about how you were scared the lightning was going to take me away."
Lelouch swallowed thickly and voiced his question. "Is C.C. my sister? Is she related to me at all?" Marianne looked at him in surprise before she began to laugh quietly.
"No, darling, C.C. is not related to you in any way. She was one of your best friends though. V.V. had actually found her outside of the camp during a cold night. The poor thing had been shivering non-stop." Marianne then stopped and tilted her head as if she was remembering something. "Though, now that I think about it, you do have several brothers and sisters." Lelouch's eyes widened comically.
"Oh don't worry, back then you were second to youngest and they all loved you too. They are the offspring of your father's other mates so technically they are only half siblings. Only Nunnally and Rolo are your full siblings." Before Lelouch could open his mouth to reply, they were both hit with the scent of cooked meat.
"Am I interrupting something?" When he looked up, Lelouch felt like it was getting harder to breathe. Suzaku was looking down at both of them and the light of the fire made shadows somewhat cover his face. This caused his green eyes to look like they were practically glowing and the smile he wore was what one would consider dead sexy.
"Oh no, not at all. Is that Lelouch's dinner? Because if it is not, then I will have to bite you for leaving him to starve."
This caused Suzaku to let out a laugh as he crouched down. "Of course not, Sensei. I would never leave him to starve; I thought you would know that." He quickly handed over the meat and Lelouch, prepared for it this time, letting out an "oomph".
"Why did you call her 'sensei'?" he asked before taking a bite and handing it back to Suzaku.
Suzaku in turn gave a bite, feeling a somewhat embarrassed blush crawl over his face. It was Marianne that answered his question. "That is because I taught him just about everything he knows." She then looked at Suzaku with those sad eyes from earlier. "By the way, I think it would be best if you knew Suzaku."
The brunette in question gave their dinner back to Lelouch who merely looked back at the ground in shame as he nibbled off a piece. Suzaku, noticing his mate's shame looked to Marianne with questioning eyes. "What's wrong?" Did Lelouch…mate with someone!? Suzaku thought, believing that that was the worst case scenario.
"Lelouch…does not remember of his life before. He didn't even know I was his mother until I told him a few seconds ago." It was then that Suzaku found out that it was possible to choke on air.
"So…does that mean," the brunette gulped before he continued. "Does that mean that he doesn't remember who I am?" Suzaku chanced a glance at Lelouch who shook his head. When he lifted it, Suzaku noticed the pained look in his eye.
"I know that the both of you were important to me, you still are, but how or in what way…" he shook his head once more. "That information is lost to me."
Suzaku gulped once more and moved from his crouch to a kneeling position. Making sure that he was facing Lelouch, he took the half eaten meat and gave it to Marianne who sniffed it first before taking a bite.
"My name is Suzaku. I was actually from a separate pack, an enemy one I guess you can say. When the humans first began to hunt our packs, we began to focus less on each other and more on the humans. Then one day, my mother and your mother met. They became friends and then we were born. When we became….friends," Lelouch noted the hesitation in Suzaku's voice he did not point it out but merely locked it away, thinking (wishing) that it was only a mistake on his part. "Our two packs came together. And we, the Kururugi pack, were integrated into the Britannia Pack; your pack."
"So, what you are saying is that we're just friends?" Lelouch questioned. He noticed the flash of physical pain cross over Suzaku's face before he hid it in a cool, blank mask.
"Yes. We're only friends."
"Hm," was all Lelouch said before he turned to Marianne and took the meat. He then turned back to Suzaku and handed over the meat. "You know Suzaku, I don't appreciate being lied to."
Lelouch noted the looks of surprise that crossed over Marianne and Suzaku's face. "W-what do you mean? I didn't lie to you."
Lelouch rolled his eyes before sitting into a kneeling position that mirrored Suzaku's. "Well, maybe you didn't lie to about being friends, but it wasn't the exact truth either. Also, the way we both reacted when you first found out that I was Lelouch well," the amethyst eyed boy felt a blush come over him as he remembered that moment. "I'm pretty sure, whether you are a wolf or not, that is not how you say 'hello' to a friend whom you have not seen in years."
Suzaku stayed staring at him before he gave a bark of a laugh. "Yeah, I guess you can say we were more than friends."
Lelouch, feeling shy once more, bent his head far enough to somewhat cover his eyes. It made him even cuter. "Oh? Then what would you call us?"
Suzaku then did something he should have expected. He kissed him.
He literally tossed their dinner to Marianne (naturally she was able to catch it), reached across to put a hand behind Lelouch's head, and brought their lips together in what could only be called a searing kiss. When he pulled back Suzaku rested his forehead on Lelouch's. Lelouch himself was in ecstasy; like he was fulfilled. Complete.
"I would call us mates. But, in human terms, I guess we would be what they call 'lovers'."
That's what snapped him out of his good mood.
"L-lovers?"
This in turn caused Suzaku to pull back and look at Lelouch with traces of fear. "Is there something wrong?"
Lelouch shook his head before getting up and moving away. "I-I just need to think." When he noticed Suzaku getting up to follow him, he brought his arm out from underneath the cloak and held it out towards the brunette. "Alone. I…I need to think alone." No matter how hard he tried, Lelouch couldn't keep the flash of hurt and rejection that crossed Suzaku's face from being seared into his brain.
Yet the fear in his heart kept him from turning back and tossing himself back into Suzaku's arms. It kept him near his human family as they ate in "ignorance" of his inner turmoil. They didn't ask questions about the brunette. Instead, they welcomed him in their midst. They let him sleep in the middle of their circle in his wolf form after he gave Milly back the cloak.
Sleep escaped him that night. No matter how much he tossed and turned he could not find that soothing blackness. When he heard the sound of bare footed footsteps, he felt himself become still. He pretended to be asleep as the now familiar body lay beside his. He could not stop the sigh of relief that exited from his chest as Suzaku changed to his wolf form and rested his brown furred head on top of his back. He couldn't even stop himself from snuggling closer to the body that sought him as well. Even though he tried, he could not stop the shiver that ran down his back as Suzaku buried his nose into his fur and breathed him in.
When Suzaku chuckled softly at his reaction, he couldn't help but whack him lightly with his tail and say the words "you idiot." It was one of the best, most confusing nights of his life.
…
When he woke up, Suzaku could not help but look down at the lithe body he slept with. He was glad to see that Lelouch was still very much asleep and couldn't help the chuckle that escaped him when he realized that his mate was drooling a bit. Suzaku let his nose rest in the fur that covered his mate's neck and took a deep breath. Stock. Suzaku pulled his head back and looked down with surprise at Lelouch; he had finally placed what scent his Lelouch carried. He smells of Stock. It….it smells beautiful.
Just as he was about stuff his nose full of that scent once more, he noticed that another wolf was staring at him. It took the thick headed Alpha a moment to realize that he was protectively shielding Lelouch's sleeping body when the wolf had done nothing to show that she was challenging him. It took him another moment to realize just who the white she wolf was.
"C.C."
The she-wolf smiled before beginning to walk away.
"He won't appreciate waking up to you after he told you he wanted to be alone."
Suzaku flinched as he stared after her. "You heard?"
All he got was a chuckle in reply. Suzaku then looked back down towards Lelouch before getting to his feet and carefully walking over the sleeping humans. There was a lonely looking tree just a few feet away.

Comments:
Huh, I actually enjoyed writing this chapter and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. And there really is a flower called Stock. A lot of florists consider it the best smelling flower in their shops.
By the way, since I'm stopping the code series, I need help renaming this story. Any ideas on what it should be called?
Leave a review will you? It may or may not dictate whether I hurry up on a new chapter.
