ZZ960107: Lulu drooling, so cute *I might pay attention to these parts* XD I'm so proud of you Honey a new name u say well how about * my precious * (Don't laugh) :XD

Reply: yay, my honey is proud of me! And to thank you (and everyone else) I have made a new chapter!

hitomi65: nice chapter

Reply: *bows* thank you

Hitomi: *pats you on the head* Now now, there there you did well. Lol! Yeah I meant just the sweet erotic parts, that occurred after Suzaku found out who Lelouch was. XD I was reading chapter 6 in the car so it's funny you said that last part (car wasn't on and I wasn't driving.) That being said YAH! Another chapter has arrived. Woot! Come on where are the sexy parts with Lelouch and Suzaku...i want to see them have babies or something. MPREG FTW! :( Good chapter but seriously thought they were going to go some were private for some ALONE TIME. I know they don't know each other very well right now but still. I think Euphie should see it when it does happen. Hehe she will not have Suzaku he belongs to Lelouch. Lelouch to Suzaku. :3 Anyway hope to read another chapter soon. PLEASE UPDATE SOON I DONT KNOW HOW LONG I CAN WAIT. PRETTY PLEASE! :'(

Reply: omg, you were in the car!? That is still heavy machinery! The sexy parts you ask? Well, they won't be happening right now right now per se. you see, when it does happen, it will set off a chain reaction of sorts. And it all goes to hell from there. Oh, I will make sure that they have babies. Whether they dream it or Lelouch is screaming his pretty little head off with all the contractions. Made you look? Hah, poor Euphie, I kind of feel sorry for her. Well, technically…they do belong to each other but they can't BE together until all the humans die. *hint hint*

BlazingFireHunter: Suzaku and Lelouch's relationship is so cute! I LOVE IT! Can't stop reading! You better update soon!

Reply: I tried updating soon. Not sure if I did though.

: Oh yes, I really like your writing. I read this all in one go, also in chapter 3 I remember thinking "What is this? Game of Thrones?! Why is everyone dying?" And I kind of expected the Rain of Cashmere to start playing ;w; I love how possessive Suzaku is, and how Lelouch's mind is confused, but his heart knows what he wants (kinda corny sounding I know). But anyways, Omegaverse! I love Omegaverse in any type of fanfics, usually yaoi yes, but I love it either way. Well just wondering how is Euphy going to take all of this...? Keep up the good work! :3

Reply: sheesh, does it really seem like everyone is dying? I mostly saw final destination in my mind while I was writing this. Rain of Cashmere? Is it good? Exactly! Thank you for understanding Lulu's confusion! Euphie: well (obviously) not very well. I mean, she's very naïve but she is not stupid. She knows what Lelouch's return will do to her and Suzaku's relationship.

Sailorka270: Yeah...I'm too lazy to sign in since I'm on my phone, waiting for my mom to finish straightening my jizz load of hair XDD But great chapter! Your writing style has like...like, like seriously improved! I love it! :D Update soon! I wish I could do a long ass review with my YELLING THROUGH TEXT FOR ALMOST HALF OF THE TIME but I hate doing reviews on my phone and I'm just not in the mood considering its going on 11 and I still have homework to do .-.

Reply: …I don't think I ever expected to see the word "jizz" in one of your reviews. Hehe, someone's going to the dark side. Q.Q my writing style was bad before? True, I'd rather leave reviews on my laptop but I'm usually on ffnet while I'm at school. Yay! I already finished all my school stuff so I'm free!

I-Love-Trunks1: I love how their all wolves who can turn into humans. Suzaku and Lelouch are so cute and adorable together! Could you please continue writing this story? I love it so much! I really hope you continue it.

Reply: I don't think we have the pleasure of meeting before. Hi, my pen name is pft980811! And I am extremely glad that you like this slow going story! And of course I will continue it. I just have so many ideas that I can't possibly get through them all!

Guest: Please review soon cos I really want to read more. I LOVE how u write and I expect to see much more intimate yaoi scenes. This is literally super good and I can't wait for the next CHAPTA!

Reply: Hello, Guest! *winces* more intimate yaoi scenes? *runs away* um, I'll get back to you on that! The thing is that I feel like my yaoi scenes suck and I'm not good with the birds and bees part. Just give me time and when it does happen (cuz it simply has to, it is omega!verse) it will be because it is absolutely CRUCIAL to the plot.

A/N: I tried to update as soon as I could.

Warning: Do not operate heavy machinery while reading or under the influence of this fanfiction. Yes, it is apparently that good.

Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot.

Home on the Horizon

When they were informed that they were nearly "home", Lelouch could not help the sigh of relief that came. Even though he was getting nervous meeting the rest of the pack and even the wolves guarding his human family were getting antsy, he could see the advantage of being amongst an even bigger crowd of wolves.

It would be easier to lose Suzaku.

Ever since the little revelation about their relationship, Lelouch had begun to notice that Suzaku was becoming more distant. Sure the idiot Alpha still followed him around as he walked and talked with the other members (warriors apparently), but he kept at least a fifteen foot gap between them that was just plain…awkward. Even the wolves that the raven had begun to talk to would stay and walk with him for only five minutes before quickly moving away. If they ever stayed longer than that, Suzaku's wrathful aura came out in full force.

There were only a very few amount of wolves that Suzaku would actually growl at as he broke the strange distance in order to get closer. One was an older looking dust colored wolf who was an Alpha. It was probably one of the reasons why Suzaku got so mad. Lelouch had been a bit surprised to see the seasoned male stand his ground against the snarling green eyed wolf before he walked carefully away. They would usually get out of there quickly but this one had the gall to stare at Suzaku head on. After that male had gone, Suzaku had given him a strange look before stepping back to his place fifteen feet away. It was quite irritating. Half of him wanted Suzaku to be hovering over him like he was the other day and half was a bit relieved. Like he didn't want Suzaku to see him like he was at the moment. As if there was shame in the choices he's made so far. But it didn't matter. Or at least, it shouldn't.

Lelouch shook his black furry head as he nearly bumped into another wolf, this one a female. She was clearly a Beta but Lelouch could not help but feel like she was an Alpha at heart. Especially with the way she glared at him before moving away from him and closer to another male wolf. From the way she was rubbing herself on him, he could tell that they were mates. It made his heart ache with a feeling of loneliness; like he should have had that intimacy too.

As he stared at the two wolves, he realized that he'd seen them before. It took a while before it clicked. They had been there the night when he was first reunited with Suzaku. They were actually the ones they had been "fighting" with before realizing that it had been a distraction.

The amethyst eyed wolf snapped out of his musings when he walked right into a small tree.

He had hit it hard enough that he fell on his arse while causing him to momentarily become dizzy. Even while in slight pain, Lelouch tried to ignore the feeling of joy as he smelled and felt Suzaku beside him. When he felt Suzaku begin to nudge him to a stand, Lelouch turned his head with a wolfish smile in place about to say "thank you" only to have the words dry up in his mouth. Suzaku was practically glaring down at him.

The brunette lightly sniffed Lelouch before pulling away and creating the space once more. "Be careful with where you walk. Some will use something as trivial as that against you and you would be in deep deer droppings if that happened. Many would rather see you gone than have to live with you." Those words probably hurt more than they should have. The green eyed Alpha then turned to glare at the two mates the purple eyed wolf had been watching and growled under his breath. "Damn Chiba." Lelouch, though some part of him realized that the glare wasn't actually directed towards him, felt himself wilt at the anger radiating off his mate(?). He hated the fact that he caused such a dangerous reaction from this particular wolf yet could not help the feeling of neediness that sank its claws into his heart.

"Y-yes…Suzaku…" Even though he whispered the words, they had been loud enough to get the brown furred wolf to look down at him.

Both Lelouch and Suzaku hated their positions. To Lelouch, he felt anger that he was being looked down upon no matter who it was. Suzaku was most definitely not an exception. The green eyed wolf on the other hand, hated looking down upon Lelouch. It felt unnatural even though that was the natural reaction an Alpha held towards an Omega. But then again, Lelouch wasn't just any kind of Omega. Suzaku felt that Lelouch should have been standing beside him. It was one of the few differences that Suzaku even allowed himself to notice.

And they all irked him.

It was the little differences. Like instead of being submissive and yet dominant, like the Lelouch he remembered from childhood, this Lelouch was trying so hard to assert himself especially when it was not needed. It felt like a challenge; and, when an Alpha is challenged, it usually does not end well. And there was also how Lelouch's voice went down at the end of a question instead of going higher like he used to as a child. And how he now walked with his head low and avoiding eye contact when he used to do the exact opposite.

It was like this was his Lelouch but wasn't as well. All these mixed signs were causing Suzaku's blood to boil and led him to walk far from Lelouch. Yes, the space hurt him, but the brunette couldn't let himself go while in the presence of this Lelouch. It didn't feel appropriate.

Thankfully, it would be over soon. They would arrive to the camp and no one would even try to mess with his mate. Especially since Charles nor his half-siblings would not allow it. Speaking of 'half-siblings' and 'mate', Suzaku had no idea as to what would happen between the deal made by himself and Euphemia. Truthfully, he didn't want to think about it. He didn't want to try breaking the deal because the consequences were told to be quite dire. That and he would lose his credibility amongst the pack creating turmoil and…and…ugh, it was much too complicated. The only way he could take both Lelouch and Euphemia as mates would be if he were to become the Alpha Male of the pack.

It seemed that he would have inherited the title many seasons ago when Marianne and Seraphina held Charles' attention but now Charles has begun to show Schneizel more attention. Perhaps now that Lelouch had come into the picture…

Suzaku shook his head violently as he quickened his pace to catch up to the retreating Lelouch. He felt anger and guilt swirl inside of him as he realized that he had been thinking of his mate as a political tool; something to get him out of this grave he had been digging himself. Whatever happens, happens. As the Alpha slowed down his pace once more, he realized that Lelouch was walking close to the humans. It was then that he came to a valid conclusion.

Even if it means losing my place in the pack, I would never leave Lelouch.

Suzaku let out a low growl as Luciano began to walk towards Lelouch. He practically ran to Lelouch's side and faced the auburn furred Alpha wolf; his lips pulled back in a snarl.

Not ever.

After Suzaku's brief fight with another Alpha wolf, Lelouch realized that tensions were running high amongst these wolves and felt stupid for not sensing it before. Even Gino, a blonde and usually carefree Alpha seemed to be jumpy. He had managed to change back into his human form without much embarrassment on his part. He had to wonder why there was so much tension but had to stop thinking about it when he began to smell the most horrid scent on the wind. The pale raven tightened his grip on the cloak and shifted slightly closer to Milly as the scent grew stronger. It was then he realized that C.C. had made her way towards them and was now padding after Cecile who stuck rather close to the insane inventor known as Lloyd Asplund.

Lelouch realized that something really was going on when they began to climb a hill and Suzaku practically ran to his side with his head low and a whine in his throat. When they reached the top, Lelouch felt his heart stop.

In front of them was another hill; this one much larger than the one they were on. But the moment he saw the sticks standing erect from the ground, Lelouch knew exactly what this was.

This hill that made the wolves so uneasy was a graveyard; and guessing from the way most of these wolves whimpered and whined, it was a graveyard of their own kind.

Hundreds of sticks stood up from the slanted ground which seemed to surround them as the group made their way down the hill they had just climbed and towards the stick covered hill. As soon as they touched the perimeter, almost all of the wolves ran away from the group and onto cleverly hidden pathways. The fur on their backs were all that was visible of them as they made their way through the graves. Some halted close by and next to a stick. As the small group of wolves that remained together began to make the climb, Lelouch was able to notice that, next to the sticks were all sorts of flowers and stones. Some even had berries or rotting meat. The humans and amnesiac wolves also noticed that some grave markers carried strings of animals' teeth and what seemed to be necklaces made of metal while others carried colorful patterns on their bark. A few even had both.

The sight made tears stream from both C.C. and Lelouch's eyes. These were their kin's graves. The ones that they were born knowing and the ones they would never get to know. A grave could have held their brother or niece. It could have held a grandfather or a friend. When they finally reached the top, Lelouch could not help but feel guilty comfort when Suzaku changed to his very naked human form. He didn't even mind Shirley, Milly, and Rivalz's gasps of surprise as he practically ran into Suzaku's surprised arms and cried quietly into his bare chest.

The raven was grateful for the fact that the stupid Alpha put aside his pride and wrapped his tan, sinewy arms around his own quaking shoulders. "Come," Suzaku said after a moment's pause. "I want to show you something."

The brunette didn't need to say that last part, mostly because, at that moment, Lelouch would have followed him anywhere as long as he was there. Yet, he was glad because Suzaku at least gave him the illusion of a choice. Something he didn't realize he liked.

So, with no hesitation, Lelouch followed Suzaku to the small and only sapling that stood on the hill; a young yet lonely sentry. There, right in front of the flower covered plant, were several sticks. They were close together but only one seemed to reign over all the rest. It was closest to the sapling and seemed to stand proudly….regally. It was covered in beautiful purple swirls that looked hard to create on such a stick. The stick itself had two limbs reaching out from its body and were also covered in swirls.

The very tips of it looked to have been dipped in red paint and two necklaces hung from it. One was of stones, feathers, and petals. The other was a lot like the metal necklaces he had seen on the other, more plain graves.

Only this one was shaped more like a bird.

Lelouch, careful of the flowers that lay in front of the beautiful shrine-like grave marker, carefully touched it like it was a treasure that he would destroy if it came into contact with his skin. "W-who's is this? Who's grave?" Lelouch asked in a soft voice, as if he had been any louder, he would have woken a sleeping baby. Suzaku's features softened considerably and he too reached out and touched the grave that stood and ruled over the rest. When he answered, Suzaku's hand had clasped over Lelouch's in a calming yet affectionate gesture.

"It's yours, Lelouch."

His family's gasps were drowned out by his own as the purple eyed Omega gasped and jerked his hand away. He quickly whirled around and stared at Suzaku. Only Marianne didn't seem shock over the little revelation.

"W-what do you mean!?"

The brunette let weakness show through the tears that were becoming apparent. "We…during the battle…we—I…I couldn't find y-you…" Suzaku said as he looked down and let his voice break. "I searched and searched while Marianne fought a-a-and…." Suzaku let out a shuddering breath. "We finally returned to the place where the attack had started and…I got a whiff of you." Suzaku jerked his head up and he smiled up to Lelouch; something that nearly shattered his heart. "I…I was so hopeful…

"I-I thought 'yes! I found him! I know he's safe!' And so I followed the scent. Only to find a sliced off piece of your ear." Lelouch's hand found its way to the very same ear that was missing skin. He always did wonder how he got that wound. Suzaku smiled bitterly and hopelessly. "Who knew that having hope taken from you could hurt so much?" By this time, Suzaku had collapsed onto the grass covered floor. "I-I-I'm sorry, Lelouch. I should have followed them! I should have followed you when we split up! I shouldn't have let fear control my reactions!"

The raven stared down with a blank face as Suzaku began to cry into his palms while on his knees; a pitiful sight that no enemy should see. Both humans and wolves held onto their breaths as they waited for Lelouch's reply; all had tears in their eyes.

Finally, after getting rid of most of the hurtful lump, Lelouch licked his lips and opened them. "You idiot."

This caused Suzaku to open his eyes and stare up at him in fear. The black haired Omega collapsed to his knees as well and leaned in to wrap the hurting Alpha in a hug. "I would have hated you forever if you did follow me." The brunette remained in shock as Lelouch tightened his hold.

"If I know one thing, Suzaku, it would be that I would never have wanted you to follow me and risk an even bigger chance of getting the both of us killed or torn apart." The amethyst eyed wolf pulled back and gave him a smile as he used his pale fingers to wipe away Suzaku's tears. "I forgive you even though there is nothing to forgive. And I thank you for thinking of me," Lelouch added while gesturing to the well-kept grave marker. When he turned back, Lelouch put on his best 'happy' smile. Please, Suzaku…don't cry….stop holding onto the past. It is gone and won't be returning any time soon.

"Now," C.C. said as she tried to discreetly wipe away at her tears. "Could you tell us who the rest of them are?" She gestured to the other graves that stood beside Lelouch's. Suzaku smiled and nodded before standing up. He held out a hand to Lelouch who gladly grabbed hold of it.

Marianne, in her human form, pointed towards the marker to the right of Lelouch's. "That one is yours C.C." The white wolf's grave marker was covered in a white paste that had rocks and strange smelling leaves piled around it. "And this one is Rin's."

Lelouch tilted his head from his place beside Suzaku. "Who's Rin?" Suzaku's flinch made him turn towards him in confusion.

"Rin is…."

"—Rin was Suzaku's mother," Marianne said as she cut Suzaku off. Lelouch looked back at Suzaku before turning to the grave. Rin's was a normal stick, mostly because it had not been painted. Instead, it had one of those strings of animals' teeth but since both ends were connected, it made them realize that the strings of teeth were actually once necklaces. It also had a metal necklace in the shape of the same bird. The only thing that made it stand out on its own was the pile of animal skulls and bones that surrounded it.

"Why are there bones around it?" Shirley asked with barely suppressed fear. Marianne turned to look at the orange haired girl who took a step back. The black haired Alpha Female sighed and turned back to the grave with a small smile.

"She was a warrior. If you truly care about a loved one who was a warrior and died on the battle field, you bring them the bones and remains of your latest kill so that they may hunt that very same prey in the Meadow of the Stars." Lelouch stared at the grave before turning his body completely to it and bowing slightly.

"It is an honor to meet you Rin."

After a few more introductions, Lelouch found out that one of his half-brothers, by the name of Clovis, was resting with his mother, Gabrielle, and another one of Charles' mates by the name of Marissa. A few other "unrecognized" siblings helped fill the space but Lelouch got the jist of it all.

And it pained him to have forgotten them.

So, as a sort of repayment, Lelouch made his way around his own grave and changed to his wolf form, his true form. He didn't have to turn around to know that C.C., Marianne, and Suzaku had turned back into their own wolf forms as well. Instead, he got up on his hind paws, placed his forepaws onto the flower covered sapling, and began to push.

For a moment, he watched as the flowers fell from the tree and were carried into the wind just as the sun began to paint reds and oranges and yellows into the sky. It was magical.

It became even more beautiful when he raised his muzzle up and let loose a howl that represented all their pain. And a new beginning.

Soon, other howls joined his. He stopped in surprise and, from what he could see, all the wolves on the hill were joining in his song. And even wolves that weren't on the hill.

The wolf call traveled all over the territory, finding its way back to them. At the sound of feet, Lelouch turned his head and found Suzaku staring back at him. Then, in sync, the two mates tilted their heads back and lead the song that was in all of their souls. The Britannia Pack knew that they were home.

Comments:

I would like to thank GoldenShadow6 and BlazingFireHunter for their help in figuring out the new title for this fanfiction! Thank you guys so much!

On another note, this chapter was supposed to be much longer than it is now but when I came to that last part, it didn't seem like it would flow if I had continued on to when they met everyone. In the next chapter, drama should ensue.
