IM SO SORRY! PLEASE DONT HATE ME! I know I said I'd try and upload…..well….er….ya….I lied….but now I really WILL try and upload as much as I can. but no promises….seriously though I'm really sorry ): Please don't draw and quarter me. I like my limbs. Anyways...heres a peace offering of a sort of choppy kinda bad fanfic about...weddings? Idk...Also promises of Quinn in the future.
The shoe wouldn't come off, and kicking the wall repeatedly obviously wasn't helping. Alec groaned and sat back down on the chair. He felt like Snow White's mother in the original fairytale….Queen Evil or something. "His eyes are blue like….Izzy's blankeeeet...his hair is as black as satan's soooul"
Alec groaned. "Jace will you shut up already! I don't need a theme song."
The blonde beauty was skipping gleefully down the stairs singing at the top of his lungs. "HES IN LOOOO-oooooOOO-OVE WITH A GLITTERY ELF! WHOS REALLY ANNOYING….AND….DOESN'T SIT ON A SHELF!"
Jace came to a halt in front of the counter and grinned. "I think I have real talent."
"Yes. Now go make up a song for Izzy. And by the way Magnus is a warlock, not an elf."
"Elf, warlock, same like that glittery guy from Lord of the Rings."
Alec sighed. "Jace, Legolas was not glittery."
"Clearly we were not watching the same movie."
"Aaaaaargggghhh. Jace I do not have time for this right now!"
"Aww come on lil bro."
"I am not your little bro I am older!" with that Alec stomped out of the kitchen, one shoe still on.
Alec rolled his head sideways and closed his eyes, enjoying the feeling of Magnus's hands on his muscles. "Feeling better love?"
Alec smiled. "Yeah thanks."
Magnus smiled back and kissed his neck. "So anyways, I was going to ask you this tomorrow night, but since you're here now…"
Alec opened his eyes as he felt Magnus shifting. "What?"
"Well….my friend...well…..not really friend, Quinn...his sister's getting married and I was invited, you know, I think every warlock within a three continent radius was invited...I was wondering if you wanted to be my plus one?"
Alec sat up suddenly. "A wedding?"
"Yes. A wedding. You don't have to look so startled darling, its not like I'm proposing."
"Uhh…..when is it?" Alec shifted uncomfortably, he and Magnus had only been together for a few weeks, things were going well, but….
"Three months from now."
"The...three months?"
Magnus looked up at him through apprehensive eyes. "Well...I….uh...three months...its just…."
Suddenly a loud banging noise came from the front door, followed by voices. "Look I think we should have brought Alec as a peace offering, I don't want to be on the receiving end of an angry warlock."
"Why would he be angry? I mean, its not like-"
"Ahem."
Jace, Izzy, Simon and Clary whipped around to see an extremely glittery warlock leaning against the door, arms crossed. "Magnus!" Izzy gasped. "Sorry for dropping by at such short notice-"
"Actually we're not."
"Jace." Clary hissed elbowing him in the ribs."
Magnus waved a hand dismissively. "No problem Iz. Come in."
He stood back to allow the four to enter. "Look, Mum and Dad are going at it again and - Hi Alec- We don't have anything to do."
"So you came here?"
"Well….yes. Is that a problem..?"
"Well, we," He motioned to him and Alec. "are kinda in the middle of something…"
"Actually no, its a great time." Alec interrupted, standing up.
"Alec. I wasn't finished talking about-"
"So what were Mom and Dad arguing about?" He said walking past Magnus and shooting him a look.
"I don't even know. Something about cups?"
Magnus huffed and sat back down. "Umm….so….what should we do?"
"Are you kidding me." Everyone turned and looked at Jace.
"What are you on about?" Clary asked raising an eyebrow.
"Magnus has a huge tv."
"We could watch the new dungeons and dragons movie!" Simon suddenly piped up.
Jace looked at him disgustedly. "Shut up nerd."
"Jace." Both girls glared at him.
"We should watch Project Runway."
"Eww. No." He glared at his sister. "True Lies."
"Ugh no thank you." The two siblings began arguing while they made their way over to the couch.
"Girls Jace. Attractive girls."
"Excuse me I have a girlfriend. And fashion Iz. Yuck."
"Well its better than cheap explosions and ugh."
The five settled down into their respective places. Jace and Clary in an armchair, Izzy, Simon, and Alec on the couch, Alec next to Magnus of course. After a while they settled on some random show on channel 12. Throughout the show Alec kept throwing apprehensive towards his boyfriend. Finally when the credits started rolling he stood up. "I'm going to get something to drink. Magnus, want to come with me?"
"You know where the glasses are." He replied moodily.
"Magnus." He hissed.
The warlock groaned as he was dragged out of his seat and into the kitchen. "Whaaaaaat?"
"What's with you?" Alec folded his arms and leaned against the counter.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean why are you being so...so….ugh."
Magnus raised a glitter infested eyebrow. "Because Alec. We were in the middle of discussing something, something important when your siblings came in."
"Yes...but...but…"
"But nothing. I wasn't done talking about it and you knew that yet you disregarded me."
"Thats not why….I didn't mean...I just…." Alec stuttered, at a loss for words.
Magnus sighed. "Maybe you're right. It was presumptuous of me to assume that we would even be together in three months, what with your obvious fear of commitment."
"What? Magnus thats not what I meant I just-"
"Don't worry about it. Maybe we should just slow down." Magnus snapped, turning on his heel and walking off.
Alec sighed and rested his head against the granite counters. Why did this always happen. He always screwed things up. Friends….boyfriends...well...actually boyfriend. Magnus was the first one he'd ever had. If he didn't have any siblings, he would probably not even have any friends.
The sun had just sunk below the Brooklyn sky line and Jace, Izzy, Clary and Simon had just left. "Aren't you coming with us?" Clary asked as Alec handed her her coat.
"Yeah, I'll be along in a minute or so."
Clary gave him a worried look, then rushed off to join the others who were already half way down the block. Alec closed the door and sat back down on the couch. His head dropped into his hands. Whats the matter with me? he thought. (A/N: Insert the sound of "I Won't Say I'm in Love" from Hercules here) Magnus was perfect, he was gentle, and….I don't want to lose him. There were so many things wrong with Alec in his opinion. He was too pale, his hair was unkempt and he wore the same brown and black sweaters everyday. How could someone so….fashion obsessed and outgoing even look twice at someone like him? Lifes short honey, and a shadowhunters life is even shorter, Take chances, Regret nothing. He remembered his mother saying this to him so many times when he was little. Don't waste your life in your room. Go outside, explore. The shadowhunter closed his eyes and breathed deeply. To short. He didn't want to go through life watching everyone else fall in love. Watching his siblings get married, have children even, and him just stuck, stuck in an endless cycle of holding back.
Magnus groaned and violently turned off the tv. That boy he thought, is going to be the death of me. Sighing he flipped over on his side. "Magnus?"
Suddenly the door opened and Alec's soft voice floated in from the hallway. The warlock sat up abruptly. He thought the shadowhunter had left hours ago. "Alec?"
The door opened a little wider and the boy stepped in, looking nervous. "I was just wondering...well….I wanted to...er…" He took a couple steps closer to the bed, eyes focused on the floor.
"I was just wondering if you had any dress shoes I could borrow." he whispered.
Magnus stared at him. "Excuse me?"
"For the wedding. You see...mine don't fit anymore and-" He was cut off as Magnus leapt up and placed his lips on Alec's (A/n: argh sorry for the awkward sentence.)
Three months laterish.
Alec tossed his shoes to the ground and leaned back into the bed, sighing. It had been a long day and his feet were throbbing. Perfect fitting my ass. He thought, throwing a glance towards the bathroom. Those shoes were way to tight. "Magnuuuss. How long of a shower do you need?" he shouted.
"Patience is a virtue my darling." He shouted back.
Alec rolled his eyes. "You have no virtue left." Immediately after it left his mouth Alec regretted that sentence. He could just picture the wicked grin on his boyfriends face.
"Neither do you sweat pea."
Alec blushed furiously and turned over on his side. Twenty minutes later the water finally cut off and Magnus stepped out of the bathroom, towel around his waist. He smiled at the sight of his shadowhunter, half asleep. Magnus tossed the towel away and climbed into bed next to him. Alec stirred and opened an eye. "Finally." He muttered.
Magnus grinned and kissed his neck. "Oh come on love, you know you can't resist my squeaking clean body."
Alec made a face. Magnus chuckled and nuzzled him. "Goodnight my love."
Alec yawned. "NIght."
