Return to the Falls Pt 2
Previously, Dipper and Mabel Pines headed back to Gravity Falls while on the way there they met a young man named Michael who turned out to be related to Gideon of all people. Parting ways with a new friend the twins began to make the short walk to the Mystery Shack, However something was not right as the town was empty and upon arriving at the shack they found it in ruins. Even worse news was yet to come when the voice of the evil Bill Cipher was heard informing the children that though they thought they had defeated him the opposite was true and now we rejoin our young heroes as they calmly discuss what to do next.
"Ahhhhhh!" Dipper shouts as loud as he can
"Feel better now bro?" Mabel asks her twin.
"How can this be Grunkle Stan helped us to erase Bill from existence forever" Dipper says clearly agitated at finding out Bill is still around.
"Forget Bill what about our friends?" Mabel says with a sigh.
"What do you suppose Bill has done with them?" Mabel quickly questions Dipper.
"If I know Bill he has probably done the most diabolical thing ever to them" Dipper answers.
Hearing this Mabel gasps and goes to retreat into her sweater.
"Whoa wait Mabel Sweater town is not the answer here" Dipper says pulling his sisters sweater back down.
"Candy and Grenda I hope they are ok" Mabel sighs realising that Dipper is right.
"Soos and Wendy too plus the rest of the town, who knew so much could change in 1 short year" Dipper says solemnly.
"Well you definitely should Dipper after all your..." Mabel goes to say but she is stopped by Dipper.
"Yeah I don't want to talk about that again thank you Mabel" Dipper says blushing.
After a short while Dipper snaps himself out of his stupor and says "We have to find out as much as we can so we should start by investigating the Shack"
"Agreed!" Mabel says as both her and Dipper walk towards the ruins of the Mystery Shack.
"Maybe this wasn't Bill's doing?" Mabel says as they navigate through the wreckage of the shack.
"So what you think Soos burned it down, After Grunkle Stan told him not too?" Dipper says sarcastically.
"Stranger things have happened Dipper" Mabel says lifting up some debris.
"There is nothing here we need to get to Grunkle Fords basement" Dipper says noting that nothing visable is helping to solve the mystery of the destroyed Shack
They walk towards were the vending machine used to be it is now overturned glass is all over the floor where it has landed but the entrance to the basement is somewhat intact.
"Hey Dipper it looks like this part of the shack is ok" Mabel says as she walks towards the area.
"I hope we can find some answers or at least someone to tell us what happened here" Dipper thinks to himself.
As the twins make their way to the lift they get in suddenly they hear a rumble and a creak and parts of the wall crumble trapping them in the lift. With no way back Dipper presses the button and the elevator closes its doors and begins its descent.
Meanwhile on the other side of the Earth.
Two Old men are sailing on a boat together they are laughing and joking about the past.
"Oh man do you remember when Dad said that I was a useless waste of space?" One of the men says with a gleeful chortle.
"Hahaha I do indeed Stanley and I also remember Mother saying that you would find your calling eventually" the other older man says.
"Ahh Memories eh Fordsy?" Stan says happily.
"I just wish I hadn't lost all that time inside the portal" Ford says feeling a bit down.
"Well how do you think I felt? I had to literally become you and spend 30 years of my life trying to find a way to bring you back!" Stan says moaning about his losses as well.
"Oh here we go again, you love making this about you Stanley!" Ford says getting a bit irate.
"About me? I could have left you there for all eternity so it was never about me!" Stan says getting riled up.
"Are we seriously going to start this old feud again?" Ford says questioning his brother.
"You started it you know it all!" Stan says angrily.
Just then Stanford's watch beeps and a projection appears.
"Oh great the weirdness continues what now a Giant Seahorse?" Stan says scolding his brother for allowing his watch interrupting their argument.
"No Stan this is worse the reading is not here its back home!" Ford says with worry evident in his voice.
"Whoa wait time out home as in back in Gravity Falls?" Stan questions his brother.
"Precisely and with these readings its something not good" Ford says now racing around to the steering wheel of the ship.
"It's probably those Gnomes you told me all about or maybe even Zombies" Stan says non-chalantly.
"No Stan you don't understand the last time I got readings like this it was because of…" Ford begins to say but stops himself.
"Because of what Bro?" Stan asks picking up on Ford's reluctance to finish the sentence.
"Never mind it is not important we need to plot a course for Gravity Falls Immediately." Ford says as he begins to turn the wheel.
"Well the vacation was fun while it lasted!" Stan says realising that the trip is pretty much over now.
Back with Dipper and Mabel.
The Lift has finally reached the bottom of the shack and the doors open to reveal the study to be almost intact.
"Whoa, do you suppose someone came down here to hide?" Mabel is quick to ask Dipper.
"I dunno Mabel I think the best way to find out is to call out" Dipper says quickly in response.
"Hello is anyone down here?" Mabel calls out.
"Soos? Wendy? Anyone?" Dipper yells out but to no avail.
"Well now what do we do?" Mabel says sitting down in a huff.
"I…I don't know" Dipper says confused as to how he can't answer his Sisters question.
Looking around the intact bunker Mabel spots something out the corner of her eye.
"Hey Dipper what is that blinking light?" She says pointing to a light that keeps flickering on and off.
"huh I don't recall seeing that before" Dipper says as he and Mabel approach the blinking light.
As they get nearer they realise that the light is attached to what appears to be a computer panel.
"Should I press it?" Mabel asks her brother calmly.
"Let's do it together on 3 ready 1,2…3!" Dipper says as both he and his twin press the button which boots a nearby screen into use.
As they look at the screen a familiar face appears.
"I have no idea is anyone is still out there but I think I am the only one left in the city. Something mighty strange is happening people have been disappearing on a daily basis." The old bearded man says.
"McGuckett!" The twins say together.
"Just recently the Mystery Shack suddenly crumbled I remembered that this bunker was here my good friend Ford and I worked together down here on the portal" McGuckett continues.
"Ironic really I wanted nothing to do with the portal after my experience but now here I am hiding from whatever it is out there"
"When Gravity Falls and the Earth becomes sky beware the beast with just one eye; If the demon falls then what's the cost to get back something that was lost? An eye for an eye is how it goes be mindful of the demons…" Fiddleford suddenly starts sprouting without any reason.
"Toes!" Mabel says trying to solve the riddle.
Suddenly the screen cuts out and the twins are left in the dark bunker…
