Okay so my updating is irregular, because I'm writing chapters faster than I usually do, but soon I'm going to start college classes again and with six courses, I might not be too involved in writing. Plus, I'm taking Spanish and it's crucial I get an A in that class. I may already speak and write it, but you can never be too sure. Anyway! I'm boring everyone with my life problems. So I'd love to give a little shoutout to those beautiful people who reviewed (if you read and don't review, you're still beautiful, don't worry) But I recently hit 100+ reviews, so I want to thank those who helped my story get there!

eli-chan3021 -Aww thank you!

Guest- You're so sweet. :)

Freesia Lily- Your review made my entire existence! Thanks so much! I absolutely love reading your reviews. You're one of the reasons I haven't given up on this story, much like I have to my other ones!

Guest -Hehe. I know the title was a bit weird, but those two songs that made up the title were really my inspiration, so I had to include both.

LittleIcicle -Don't worry- plenty of friendship ahead!

ShadowXMoonlight -Flynn shall no longer be a burden soon. Hopefully. I hate writing him so.

CaptainBeer - Not much- though if ya squint, maybe Punz will get a little jealous. ;p

Starhey -You're so nice! I try so very hard to write things as if they would actually happen.

xX-T-luv-Xx - I'm glad you finally watched Frozen! I cried in it. Guilty.

AliceCullen3- Thanks!

XxBlackRoseWitch378xX -Thanks so much, dear!

changeofheart505- As always, your reviews crack me up! XD Tooth is being bitchy, but trust me, she's got her reasons. It'll be addressed later on. :)

Okay! So this doesn't do much, plot wise. Someone asked for more Mericcup and they shall have more moments soon. Plus, there is little Jackunzel-ness if you read closely. Also Harry Potter is mentioned. You have been warned.

They had expected it to be over when they went back to school.

Apparently, it wasn't.

Fishlegs refused to talk to Hiccup. When he saw him coming, he turned away, shooting Hiccup a dirty look and leaving him alone when they usually walked together to their classes. Even the Mathletes shunned him, excluding him from memos concerning competitions and meetings.

Tooth, Aster, North and Sandy stayed away from Jack too. They gave him hellos, and if there was a group assignment, they worked with him, but otherwise they made no move to engage in conversation with him. What was even weirder was that Anna found it acceptable to now smile at him in the hallways, a situation that left Jack very uncomfortable.

Merida's soccer friends gave her strange looks when she sat with them in the lunchroom. They made snide remarks about her when they thought she wasn't listening, and gave her false compliments about her hair and her clothing only to titter about them when they thought she was out of earshot. To make things worse, they wouldn't pass to her on the soccer field or include her in last-minute practices or scrimmages.

Rapunzel had it the best out of them. She still had a few cheerleader friends that gave her smiles when she started out the practices, and no one could really hate her as she was super nice to everyone, even though most of the cheerleaders would challenge her authority during practice.

But no matter what anyone thought, they always had each other. And that was enough.

So they thought.

"There's no way ah'm talkin' Star Trek with yeh," Merida said stubbornly as she, instead of Fishlegs, walked Hiccup to class.

"Star Wars," Hiccup automatically corrected, to which Merida scrunched up her nose and scoffed at.

"Trek, Wars, can't ye just call it Star Trek Wars and be done with it?" she asked.

"Since Fishlegs won't, I thought you would," Hiccup intended for his statement to come out breezy, but it didn't. It came out broken. It came out like a boy pinning for one of his oldest friends to talk to him again.

That was why, and that was the only reason why, Merida Dunbroch heaved a great sigh and turned to her nerdy friend.

"So, tell me about this Star Wars," she mumbled. Hiccup's face lit up.

"I guess I'm just raving because I got the whole series on DVD, and I haven't seen them all in years," Hiccup said. "I finished watching them all this weekend-"

Merida snorted. "Ye have no life, Hic."

"Yeah," Hiccup said sheepishly. "I just love marathoning movies. Want to do it sometime?"

Merida paused in the hallway, right before the classroom. "Ye mean... just us? Watching movies?"

"I mean, we could invite Jack and Rapunzel too," Hiccup was blushing red. "Maybe we could have a movie marathon. Are you into Harry Potter?"

"Erm, sure," Merida said slowly. "If ye want tae, that is. We could do that."

"Okay," Hiccup opened the door to let Merida enter first. The teacher hadn't arrived yet, but most everybody was sitting at their seats. There were only a few left, so Merida and Hiccup were forced to sit apart from one another, which wasn't the best decision.

Merida got stuck sitting next to Astrid and Hiccup was sitting next to Anna.

Astrid was chewing gum as she examined Merida. Snapping it obnoxiously, she leaned closer to the redheaded girl.

"You're a bit rusty out on the field, Merida," she said. "Just wanted to let you know."

Merida flared up. Astrid was one of the girl who wouldn't pass to her on the field, and she took great offense at it.

Turning as red as her hair, Merida was already about to spit out a quick, rude comment in response, but never got the chance. Astrid kept talking.

"Your boyfriend says that he wants to break up with you," Astrid also stated. "Why's that?"

Merida forced herself to look straight ahead. Ignore her, just ignore her, her subconscious screamed. Her hot head said otherwise. She was literally itching to respond. Honestly, if Macintosh wanted to dump her, she's be open to whatever time could fit his schedule. Honestly. In five minutes, in three days, whatever worked.

"Class," the teacher started by passing out a few papers, "Here are the results you got from last week's quiz. I think you'll find that most of them are- to put it mildly- quite disappointing. Please start to look them over-"

While she droned on, Hiccup got his paper back with a perfect score. That much wasn't strange. What was weirding him out was the way Anna smiled towards him. Since when did he ever speak to Anna Arendelle?

"Hiccup, right?" she finally spoke up.

"Yes," Hiccup replied flatly, his eyes skimming his page as if he actually needed to revise them, which he didn't.

"You're Jack's friend," Anna said it, but not like as if it were a question. She said it as if she was repeating a fact.

"Yes," Hiccup said carefully, like it was a test.

"I haven't gotten a chance to talk to him since the party," Anna said. "Does he have a girlfriend? I mean, him and that Rapunzel girl seem really close."

"No, I don't think so," Hiccup said, the conversation a strange one to be having with her.

"Do you think- that he might date me?" Anna blushed. Hiccup had no answer. Typically, he should be a good person and be a wingman, but the rational side told him not to get involved. Usually his rational side won. Today, something told him otherwise.

"I'm not sure," Hiccup said carefully. "He doesn't tell me these things. If you want, I could ask him-"

"No!" Anna blurt out quickly. "I- I mean I don't want him to know."

"Then, I won't tell," Hiccup was utterly confused by now. How the heck was he supposed to understand a girl? Maybe Merida could help him if he asked.

"Maybe you could just, I don't know, find out?" Anna was bright red, her skin a deeper color than her hair.

"Umm, sure," Hiccup said slowly.

"Thank you!" Anna looked relieved as she hunched over her paper. Confused, Hiccup did the same.

They had, in fact, gotten together, all four of them, for a Harry Potter marathon the next Friday night. Hiccup's house had fit them all comfortably, and "Stoick the Vast" as Jack nicknamed him was out for the evening.

Hiccup provided the movies.

Merida provided popcorn.

Rapunzel provided candy.

Jack provided unnecessary comments and stupid remarks.

"How does everyone keep seeing his scar?" Jack remarked as the protagonist of the film was shaking yet another person's hand. "I mean, what if there was just another random boy that had a scar on his head?"

Merida venomously replied with a retort to shut up while cramming kernels into her mouth.

Jack was quiet until an old man began talking.

"Is he joking about the whole dying in some third corridor thing?" Jack whispered. Merida gave him a large shove that landed him on the floor.

"Shh," Rapunzel whispered, never taking her eyes off of the screen. Hiccup, though he had practically memorized the film, did the same.

Jack kept wisecracking through the whole movie, and while it got old, the three were actually quite fond of him making them.

"Why the hell are they having detention in that creepy forest? The old man told them it was out of bounds!" Jack said.

"Shut yer mouth for one minute," Merida growled. He stayed quiet for exactly one minute before starting to speak again.

"That little blond kid likes that one with the scar, doesn't he? I can tell he's gay."

Merida kicked him in the ribs and he fell off the sofa again.

At the end of the first movie, Rapunzel was intrigued in the series, Hiccup was beaming like a proud father, Jack was asking if Harry Potter was gay, and Merida had to admit that she liked them herself.

So began the second movie. Then the third. The fourth rolled by, and by the time they had watched the fifth, it was three in the morning.

"That one was so sad," Rapunzel stretched her limbs, rubbing her wet eyes. "When his godfather died-" She clutched her hands to her heart.

"Yeah," Hiccup circled his arms a few times, wincing at the soreness spreading along his shoulder blades.

"There's so much sexual tension between that one girl and that dude with the red hair," Jack had his head tossed over the sofa and was staring at the ceiling. "He should really make a move."

"Argh," Merida stretched herself, discarding popcorn and bits of candy that fell off of her jeans. "Are we goin' tae watch the next one?"

"You want to?" Hiccup raised his eyebrows. "We're not going to finish all eight today. Don't you guys have to get home?"

"You should've said something at one in the morning, Hic, not now," Jack sighed. "Is it cool if I crash?"

"Sure. Dad's not coming back till tomorrow anyway," Hiccup said. "Do you guys want to stay?"

"Yeah," Merida grunted. "Got tae text me mum, though. She likes ye for some reason, so she'll let me stay."

"Rapunzel?" Hiccup asked.

"Umm, yeah. Mother thinks I'm at Mavis's house for cheer again, so she won't expect me till like noon," Rapunzel said.

"Next movie, then!" Hiccup popped in the DVD.

Thus the friends stumbled through the last three movies, which left Hiccup dozing and with his glasses half-off, Rapunzel sobbing, Jack unsure of what to do, and Merida with wide eyes.

"Oh," Rapunzel breathed as the credits began to roll. Tears were still leaking from her emerald eyes. "That was so beautiful."

"Wake up, Hiccup!" Jack smacked the couch next to Hiccup's face.

"Ahhh!" Hiccup was awake and fell off of the seat in his shock, his glasses clattering.

"It's really interesting," Jack said, like he couldn't hear the groan that resonated from the floor next to him, pertaining to the boy he'd just scared out of his wits. "I honestly thought Harry would end up with the blond kid. Or that girl that's always reading, what's her name?"

"Who cares about that?" Merida said irritably, leaning back in her seat. "It's already eight, or past it, and ah haven't eaten." Jack leaned closer to her.

"Are you crying, Princess?" he snickered. She responded with another hard kick in the ribs, landing him right next to Hiccup on the floor.

"Oof-" Jack wheezed from underneath their feet.

"I think I'm okay now," Rapunzel wiped at her eyes with shaky hand, inhaling and laughing at the same time. "It's been a while since I've cried over a movie."

"It's a good movie," Hiccup said from the floor. Rather than get up, Hiccup and Jack laid down next to each other and stared at the ceiling.

"Sure," Merida wasn't ready to admit she liked them. "Do ye have anything tae eat, Hiccup?" She hopped off the couch and was already rummaging through his fridge.

"Uhh," Hiccup groaned but got to his feet, putting his glasses back on. "Yeah. I'll cook something."

"I'll help!" Rapunzel, ever so helpful, followed her two friends into the kitchen and left Jack on the floor by himself. Jack eventually followed, grumbling about how he thought Merida must've punctured his lungs.

Hiccup was already cracking eggs into a bowl, Merida was laying bacon onto a frying pan. Rapunzel found pancake mix and busied herself with that. Jack picked up a pot and filled it with water to heat for coffee.

The only sounds that the four heard was bacon sizzling, Hiccup's spatula scraping, and water boiling. Then Rapunzel began humming. The hums turned into singing under her breath as she danced around on her tiptoes past the pan that held the pancakes.

Hiccup smiled as she bumped into him, twirling around with her own spatula in hand. Merida took out her phone, and played a song for Rapunzel to listen to. By the way Rapunzel's eyes widened, she loved the tune.

She started singing louder. Her feet, bare from where she had curled up on the couch and hadn't wanted to get her shoes on it, hit the tiles in a motion that was half-jump, half-twirl. Jack chuckled to notice that his own feet were bare as well, as he recalled taking them off to annoy Merida around the fourth Harry Potter movie.

When Rapunzel accidentally bumped into a counter, she seemed to realize that she was being watched. Her cheeks blushed a pretty pink, and she was about to turn back to her cooking when Merida snatched the tool away and gave her a nudge back to where the phone still played music.

Rapunzel smiled. Before he could stop himself, Jack offered a hand to Rapunzel. She took it gladly. He spun her in a circle, his arms encircled her waist, and hers gripped his elbows.

They couldn't stop laughing as they fumbled around the kitchen. Jack kept stepping on Rapunzel's toes, but since his feet were also bare, it didn't hurt. Rapunzel buried her face in his chest, giggling. Jack spun her again, her long hair whipping around her as centripetal force took over.

She finally crashed into Jack, still giddy from dancing and laughter. Jack hugged her to his chest, a goofy smile plastered to his face. The song ended, and Merida stopped from flipping the pancakes to shove her phone back into her pocket.

"That was fun," Rapunzel looked up at Jack, her eyes sparkling and her cheeks flushed. She looked beautiful, Jack thought. He quickly shook the thought away. Wow. He could finally count all of the freckles that lightly dusted her nose and cheeks. She had the most adorable smile, and it was directed towards him.

"Yeah," Jack forced a smile and let go of Rapunzel. "I should actually get the water off of the burner, though."

"Oh. Right," Rapunzel blushed and stepped back, and went back to help Hiccup with finishing the eggs.

"Breakfast is served," Merida announced, and shoved a stack of dishes onto Jack's hands. "Set the table."

"Who the hell sets a table?" Jack scoffed, but did as she asked, spreading plates, cups, forks and knives around the wooden table. Hiccup and Rapunzel brought the food, served everyone, and they all sat down to enjoy breakfast together.

"These eggs are amazing, Hiccup!" Rapunzel beamed, forking them into her mouth. "What do you put in them?"

"Secret, sorry," Hiccup said unapologetically, grinning and eating them himself.

"Merida burnt the bacon," Jack mumbled. Merida responded by spreading syrup over his eggs when he wasn't looking.

They all ate in companionable silence, the scraping of forks on china the only sound that sounded. All preoccupied in their own thoughts, the four ate quietly. Something was still bothering Hiccup though, and he decided then was a better time than any to speak.

"So- uh-" Hiccup thought of what Anna had told him a few days ago. He hadn't brought it up. "What do you think of Anna Arendelle, Jack?"

A loud crash cut them off before they could keep talking. Rapunzel had dropped her cup full of coffee.

"I-I'm sorry," Rapunzel said quickly, jumping up to gather a few napkins and wiping the scalding coffee off of the table. "I'm cleaning it up."

"Here, let me," Jack reached for the napkins, but Rapunzel kept them out of his reach.

"No, it's okay, I've got it," she said quietly, and continued her scrubbing. Confused, Jack decided to answer Hiccup's question.

"Uh- she's okay," he said. "Why? Are you interested in her?" Hiccup nearly choked on his bacon.

"W-what? No," he said. "I just think that you and her would be-uh-"

"First Tooth, now you," Jack sighed. "I'm not interested in dating her."

"Just wondering," Hiccup looked away and pushed his glasses up his nose nervously.

"Sure," Jack said.

Things got oddly quiet at the table after that.

Hiccup was over at Merida's house again for weightlifting. She insisted he drink a protein shake, which consisted of her blending healthy things inside her blender and giving it to him in a crystal glass.

This was a shake? It was a murky greenish brown and was not appealing in any sort of nature. Still, under Merida's gaze, he took a gulp... And nearly spit it out. God, it was disgusting. Whoever thought that mixing onions, spinach, and bananas was a good combination was horribly mistaken.

Hiccup grimaced but managed to swallow it all, much to Merida's delight, who went through her fridge then to get plenty of fruits and vegetables for snacks. Working out always left Merida feeling very famished, something she clearly let show by the way she piled items into her arms.

Hiccup dutifully followed Merida upstairs again. After depositing her food over at a table by the doors, she went into a bathroom to change into her workout clothing. Hiccup did so in the room, pulling on sweatpants and a t-shirt on and disregarding his jeans and button up shirt.

Then Merida walked out looking stunning. She wore a dark green muscle top, cropped to show a flat, toned stomach. Matching shorts snug around her bottom came to only about five inches past her hips.

Hiccup, cheeks burning, looked away. Damn it. Damn it to hell. He was a boy with urges and Merida comes out, innocently moving around the weights as if she has no idea the effect she's having on him. She bends over to tie her shoe, tossing her hair over her shoulders. Damn it. Her backside is up in the air, and he's trying to avert his gaze.

"Ye okay Hiccup?" Merida seems to notice he's turned away and breathing hard.

No. He's not okay. He's trying to hide a specific part of his body from her. Think of non arousing thoughts, Hiccup. Of Gobber without his arm. Or his dad without a shirt.

"Can I actually use the bathroom first?" He can't look at her right now. He keeps his body turned from her.

"O' course," Merida waves it off without a thought, busying herself with lifting a few weights.

Hiccup locks himself in and won't come out for about ten minutes. When he does, he can't look Merida in the face.

"Ye need tae work some more on upper body strength," Merida doesn't notice that he can't keep blushing around her. "Here. Do some crunches on the mat."

Hiccup does, but not before panting after about two and finally falling back after five.

"Hiccup," Merida sighs, "Here. Ah'll hold yer feet." She grabs Hiccup's sneaker-clad feet and holds them in place. "Try again," she said.

Hiccup did, but it was so hard to focus because she's crouched by his shins and she smells like apples. After going up and down about twenty times, Merida lets him back up, giving him a hand.

"Yer doin' better, Hic," she smiles brightly. "Yer arms need work too. Drop and do twenty."

Pushups. Hiccup groans but does as she asks, managing three before his skinny arms give out. Merida only pushes him back up again, and crouches next to him in case he fall again.

Merida has Hiccup working on weights, jumping jacks, and balancing on the balls of his feet before she finally lets him rest.

"Yer workin' a bit better," Merida smiles at him. "Another shake?"

"No," Hiccup lets a groan out. "Anything but one of those." Merida chuckles and hands him an apple, also taking one herself.

"Ah think next time we'll work on some more weights," Merida scrunches up her nose. "Ye need it."

Hiccup attempts to laugh along, but Merida scoots closer to him so that her hair's tickling his nose.

He can no longer say anything coherent.
