Kon chatted away happily as he and Corey lead the grojcats to the fresh-kill pile.

"So what now?" Corey asked. "What do we do now...?"

"Well, we still hunt and fight." Kon said. "But you could try to become leader or expect kits."

Laney stopped to a halt and Kim bumped into her.

"Hey, keep moving!" Kim muttered. "I'm very hungry."

Kim walked around Laney and continued following the group while Laney just sat there in shock.

Kits! How could I forget we can do that when we're warriors now?!

"You coming Laney?" Corey asked.

"Uh, yeah!" Laney leaped to her senses and paws and dashed over to the fresh-kill pile.

"Wait!" Konnie meowed, taking a rabbit. "Got to give this to the queens first!"

Konnie looked and stopped at Kon's look of admiration, and abruptly broke off the look and ran to the Nursery.

"Hey Acornfall."

Rosepetal was the first to greet Konnie as she walked in with the rabbit, Lilyheart gave a nod while Daisy and Dovewing both turned their heads.

"Rabbit! Rabbit!" Sunkit and Vixenkit chanted, waking up Lilyheart's kits. Daisy turned her head around and looked at the rabbit.

"Back off mouse-hearts!" Daisy yowled, knocking Rosepetal's kits over and taking a chunk of rabbit.

Rosepetal and Lilyheart neared the rabbit but Daisy slammed her paw on the ground and hissed.

"Now, now Daisy. The rabbit is for everyone..." Konnie tried to reason with the deranged she-cat, but then Dovewing got up and tried fighting her for the rabbit.

"Dad!" Firekit yelped. "The two mean she-cats are ruining the rabbit!"

Instead of Bramblestar, Thornclaw walked in and split the rabbit into forths and placed two in front of Rosepetal and Lilyheart while kicking the other two to Daisy and Dovewing.

"Behave, Dovewing." Thornclaw snarled before he walked out of the Nursery.

Dovewing began fake crying and Bramblestar's kits began to leave when Daisy dropped her claw down on Firekit's tail.

"Filthy brat! You deserve to lose your tail for that kind of tattling!" Daisy hissed.

"NO!" Konnie slammed both her own paws down on Daisy's tail. Daisy was quick to let go of Firekit and swipe her claws at Konnie.

The blows missed Konnie and Konnie ran out of the Nursery.

Then she stopped when she finally found her sister.

"Kim!" Konnie stopped to catch her breath. "Where were you?"

"Was just taking a walk with the Clan deputy..." Kim smirked and had this look in her eye.

"Kim, you can't be interested in another cat..." Konnie looked up at her.

"Why not?" Kim lashed her tail furiously. "We're stuck here anyway!"

"But, Kon didn't mean we had to." Konnie groaned. "He said-"

"That we could!" Kim growled. Konnie tried to speak but her sister had stormed off.

Konnie felt a pelt brush against her's.

"Sorry, just have to get to the fresh-kill pile." Kon sighed.

"What's wrong with him?" Konnie asked Kin and Corey, whom were right behind him.

"We had to force him to break it off with Mina." Kin replied. "We've tried cheering him up, but he's just been...sad."

"I'll...I'll talk to him." Konnie meowed.

"You?!" Corey gasped. "But...you two...but-"

"I said I'll talk to him." Konnie repeated herself more confidently.

Konnie got up and walked to Kon, who was staring down his fresh-kill: a small sparrow.

"You gotta eat more than that." Konnie meowed.

"I don't want to..." Kon sighed. "Besides, the rest of the fresh-kill can go to those who want it."

"Larry and Carrie aren't going to eat that much anyway, they're in the medicine cat den from fighting each other." Konnie explained.

"But what about the leader's kits? What about all the kits?" Kon muttered.

"Why so much about the kits?" Konnie sat beside Kon and let her pelt touch his. "You want kits?"

"Yes. Is that bad?" Kon asked.

"No, no." Konnie reassured him. "But you were seeing Mina."

Kon winced, moments after a tear fell down his cheek.

"I wanted to be with her." Kon whispered.

"Well you can't." Konnie said regrettably. "But that doesn't mean you can't have kits here."

"I guess..." Kon sighed. "But with who? Hollypetal I guess, but I don't have any romantic feelings for her. She'd be devastated."

Konnie stopped, realizing she was going to say the unthinkable. Her own feelings buried deep down would have to rise to the surface.

Help me, I'm going to say it...

"I guess I'll go talk to her." Kon said sadly.

"Wait."

Kon stopped in his tracks and turned to Konnie.

"I could have your kits." Konnie managed to say.

"No, it's fine. I'll go ask Hollypetal." Kon sighed.

"I want to." Konnie felt her fur shudder as those words of difference.

"Really?" Kon asked. "Konnie..."

Kon approached Konnie and entwined his tail with her's.

"I...am sorry that I have feelings for another cat." Kon sighed. "You don't deserve that."

"It's OK, I'll help you heal." Konnie whispered. "You'll learn to love me and our kits."

"I already do." Kon placed his paw on her's.

Kon and Konnie looked at each other and walked further into the woods, their pelts close.
