Chapter 9: Fairytopia

Hi! Sorry for the wait, took me a while to get this chapter just right. I think it came out good. Enjoy!

Jeanette was in the corner of the carriage hyperventilating with both Simon and Buttercream trying to comfort her. Meanwhile, the Dragons were having an evil conversation…BWAHAHAHA!

"I wish they would let us eat the stupid rodent." a male, Dominic, complained.

"I know, might as well have a snack after all of the work we do for those nitwits." A female Daisha argued.

Just then they heard some crazy rabbit yelling. "BTW Rabbits are not rodents, they are in fact Lagomorphs. And you have some nerve calling me stupid Dragon butt."

"Buttercream!" Both Simon and Jeanette hissed.

"What? They deserve it their masters aren't even going to help they're just going to get killed.-the dragons I mean- and if you ask me I-,"

"B.C., not in the mood to be killed right now and I would appreciate it if you would at least-," Jeanette was interrupted by one of the younger dragons.

"You're a Princess, and if you are then you overrule our masters. I'll help you. But I don't know 'bout everyone else."

The older dragons saw the logic in this and set the couple, and bunny, in an enchanted forest.

"Blow this whistle if you need anything." The dragons bowed and flew off.

"Still have a phobia of dragons?" Simon asked Jeanette.

"Duh."

"We're all going to die!" Buttercream shouted. "Your Aunt Jasmine, and Uncle Joshua, are trying to kill you. But I think we'll be ok…"

Simon and Jeanette started to shrink until they were about 5 inches tall. Wings sprouted from their backs, Buttercream shrunk herself so she was 2 inches tall... so she wouldn't crush Simon and Jeanette

Jeanette groaned, "You choose now to tell me? B.C. I'm too young to die."

A small fairy, about 7 years old, tumbled out of a bush, then desperately looked for a way out of his situation.

"S-Sorry m-mister, missus, I b-b-beg your pardon. I wasn't m-m-meaning to eaves drop I-I'za j-j-just lost ma w-w-way." He stuttered.

"Samuel?" A girls voice called, a five year old fairy flew from behind a tree.

"Hi Judy, its ok, I think they're nice persons."

"Where are your parents?" Jeanette asked, confuse why they would be out in the woods near sunset without a guardian.

"Dead missus," Judy replied. "The hawks done got 'em."

"Do you have a house?" Simon inquired.

"Ya, a lil' ways down the road, take a left it'll be there." Samuel responded.

"Take us?" Buttercream asked.

"Wow! I love bunnies!" Judy exclaimed scratching Buttercream behind her ear.

"You know these kids aren't so bad." Simon stated, "Maybe we could pose as their parents then they can live in the castles afterwards."

Jeanette shook her head. "We'd have to separate them Simon, I could never forgive myself if I made them cry."

Simon stopped, "How did you learn to fly so quickly?" he asked. Jeanette's violet wings were indeed, fluttering. Jeanette was hovering about 3 inches above the ground.

"Oh, Buttercream has given me lessons before on how to fly like a fairy. Just in case I get pulled into a fairy circle and became one. I never thought that advice would be useful. But the idea was still possible, you never know what can happen when there's magic around."

"We're here." Judy declared. They flew into a cottage hanging from the tree. (Simon stumbled a bit, flying isn't that easy you know. You have to concentrate on your destination or your wings will fold up.)

The cottage had 3 bedrooms and a broken table and a kitchen. 2 over turned buckets acted as chairs.

"Sorry 'bout the mess, we weren't expectin' no company. You're welcome to stay fer as long as you like." Samuel apologized. "Good thing our parents bought this place or we would be in some deeps troubles."

"Sammy and me share a room, you two can gets the others." Judy said quietly. "Been a while since us got some money or guests. There's not many jobs fer 7 an' 5 year olds an' no one wants to be friends with orphans."

"Thank you, and we'll take care of you two, don't worry. You'll have lots of friends once they know that you know a prince and princess." Jeanette thanked. The two fairies went to their rooms and got prepared for bed. (Sam and Judy not Si and Jeanie.)

"Now that we have a place to stay, what do we do?" Simon asked. They were sitting on the overturned buckets. Neither of them wanted to put the kids in danger, their life was already hard as it was now.

"We'll find a way, but first I think we should get some food for them. I packed some in my carriage, Buttercream, teleport the carriages here please."

"Okey dokie lokey!" she said in her best Pinkie Pie imitation. After coming back seconds later, a buffet was spread on the table.

"Kids, we brought something for you!" Simon yelled.

The five of them then ate their fill, and Jeanette tucked Judy and Samuel in bed. "Good night you two, sweet dreams."

"You're better with kids than I thought." Simon commented when Jeanette returned.

"Talking to and caring for animals of different species helps I guess…"

Simon stared at Jeanette, even though once they got back to their kingdoms they would be separated, he didn't care. Jeanette, he realized, is someone he loves. Simon shook his head, he had to figure out a way to be safe before dealing with his complicated feelings.

"Well, I'm going to bed," Jeanette said interrupting his thoughts. "Buttercream, you can come when you're ready for bed."

"She really likes you, you know," Buttercream said when Jeanette left, "and I can read minds." She tapped her head.

Simon turned bright red when he realized that Buttercream was able to hear his thoughts about Jeanette. "Thanks for the warning...Do you know what I can do to make her admit that she likes me?"

"Jeanie likes romance, do something romantic." Buttercream suggested. "Well I'm beat, night."

"Good night Buttercream."

"I don't want to do this Sam." Judy declared.

"I don't like the idea of those mean people being mean to them either, but they said they'll bring Ma an' Pa back."

"But Ma an' Pa were always travelin' I want these two to be our parents."

"Me too Judy… we'll tell them in the morning. Then we'll go to ma an' pa's real house."

Yes, there are supposed to be a few typos and apostrophes to show they can't talk that well. And no, the kids aren't evil just... confused kids. I hope to finish 'Summer' by the end of Summer but that probably won't happen... and I'm not really sure how many chapters are going to be in this story. But, there will be over about 15. IDK. Bye.
