Elaine leaned forward to inspect the cut of salmon in the grocer's tray. From behind her she felt the swirl and prickle in the air that she had come to associate with Severus.
However, when she turned it was just a dark haired young man, his green eyes bright behind circle glasses.
They stared at each other for a long moment.
Something like recognition fluttered through her heart, like the whisper of a forgotten memory or dream—déjà vu.
The brown haired man who had been in her garden stepped around the corner, smiling. "Ah—Miss Corbenic of Spinner's End."
