The Elegant Table on the Glass Boat


They were at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, and in the gathering evening it glowed brightly. When they embarked on the Bretagne for their dinner cruise on the Seine, they were led to a cozy little table for two under the glass-encased ceiling of the prow of the boat. It was an intimate affair, draped in golden topaz linens with an array of interestingly shaped wine glasses.

Severus pulled out her chair before tucking his cane away and seating himself.

Elaine studied the elegant little card provided to show the boat's route and the landmarks they would pass.
