Here's a new chapter! Sorry it took me so long...but school has been crazy and I got sick *sigh* I'm all good now! Thankfully my fever is gone and I am no longer in pain :D Also, I am publishing this while watching the Super Bowl...so feel special ;) haha!

I own nothing!

After spending hours looking for Alec all around the city, Magnus gave up. He had looked everywhere. He had looked in the magazine's building, the studios they used for the photo shoots, the coffee shop Alec used to work at, the bookstores Alec liked to visit, parks, cathedrals, and any place Alec could be found taking photos…but he couldn't find him. After calling at Alec's phone countless of times, Magnus had not been able to get a hang of him. So after walking aimlessly around the city, Magnus had decided to go back home.

He was surprised to find his door unlocked. He had made sure to leave the door locked before leaving to work. He walked inside the apartment carefully. He tried not to make noise in case anyone was still inside. He was surprised to find everything in place. The TV was still there and so were all of their important possessions. He noticed Chairman Meow was eating peacefully in the kitchen. His dinner was due a couple of minutes ago…but Magnus hadn't feed him. That could only mean someone else had done it.

"Alec?" He called almost afraid "Darling?"

No answer came and he knew instantly Alec was mad at him. Not like he didn't have reasons not to be mad. It was all of Magnus's fault. He had been asked to do one thing, one single thing, and he had failed to do so. And now Alec's life was crumbling down and it was all of Magnus's fault.

He heard a small noise coming from the studio. He rushed towards the room afraid of what Alec could do if he stayed alone for a single moment more. Magnus opened the door slowly and peered inside.

Alec was sitting on an armchair. He was leaning down and picking up a book from the floor.

"Alec?" Magnus asked softly. Alec stopped, but then he continued doing what he was doing, ignoring Magnus completely "Alec, please. Talk to me"

"There's nothing to talk about" Alec answered, his eyes not leaving the pafes of the book.

"Would you let me explain?" Magnus pleaded closing the door behind him

"I get it" Alec answered finally closing the book "You have a very important meeting…it was obviously more important than anything else"

"I tried to get out as soon as possible" Magnus rushed to explain "I ran to the courtroom, but you were-"

"Magnus!" Alec snapped "I get it…your world doesn't revolves around me…your work is more important"

"No" Magnus shook his head and kneeled in front of him "You are much more important…"

"Then why weren't you there?!" Alec cried "Why didn't you go? You say I'm more important, but I obviously aren't because you didn't show!"

"Alec-"

"I needed you" Alec's voice broke, as did Magnus's heart "I needed you and you weren't there…"

"I'm so sorry" Magnus whispered "I failed you, I know. I was stupid and careless and selfish and I failed you! And I'm so sorry! You do mean a whole lot more to me…and you deserve so much better"

"Stop" Alec shook his head

"I failed you" Magnus repeated dropping his head and looking down at the floor "I'm so sorry"

"It's all done now" Alec sighed. He was not feeling strong enough to fight against Magnus.

"I'm so sorry"

"I know" Alec whispered and lifted Magnus's head and pressed a small kiss against his lips "Let's just…forget about all of this"

"But-"

"No buts….please" Alec pleaded in a small voice that made Magnus's heart break all over again "can we just, not fight? I really don't need that right now"

"Of course" Magnus said quickly "Whatever you want"

"Thanks" Alec smiled softly, but it was an exhausted smile.

Magnus smiled back at his boyfriend, grateful that they had not fought and Alec was so amazing and decided to just let it all drop. Magnus could tell that what Alec needed the most right now was comfort and Magnus was more than willing to give it.

The designer stood up and extended his hand towards Alec, arguing him to take it. Alec took it without hesitation and stood up as well.

"Come on" Magnus smiled, squeezing his hand softly "I know exactly what you need"

Magnus lead him towards the front door. They both took their coats and headed out. Magnus made sure to lock the door once more and then they went off and into New York's streets. They walked hand in hand. Alec had no idea where they were going, he just followed Magnus. No one spoke. They were both completely content with just being together, their joined hands bringing comfort and love. They walked in complete silence for a couple of minutes until Magnus stopped in front of an ice-cream parlor. Alec looked confused at Magnus, but followed him anyways as they stepped inside the parlor.

"What are we doing here?" Alec asked

"There's no better comfort than ice-cream" Magnus said with a confident nod.

They both made their way towards the counter. Before Alec could say what he wanted, Magnus asked for a big sized banana split with two spoons. Magnus squeezed Alec's hand once more and then paid for their order. Once they got their ice-cream, Alec took it and they both made their way towards the booths around the store. They took one on the far corner, so they could be content without anyone disturbing them.

They both sat on the same side of the booth, sitting close together, and just enjoying the warmth of each other.

"What happened at the meeting?" Alec asked softly after a long moment of them just sharing ice-cream without talking

"Do you really want to talk about it?" Magnus asked with a sigh "I feel bad about going"

"It's ok" Alec answered "It is your dream Magnus…I want to know all about it"

"Well we discussed about opening the store" Magnus said "Basically just paperwork…we'll be meeting again to sign the contract if I decide to open it"

"You mean you haven't decided?" Alec asked surprised "What's holding you back? I thought this was your dream"

"I don't know" Magnus sighed "It would take me away from the magazine..."

"But not completely" Alec cut in "Magnus this is your chance! You always wanted to have your own clothing store. Don't let the chance run by"

"You really think I should do it?"

"Totally"

Magnus nodded and kissed Alec's temple. Alec smiled up at him shyly and then they both continued eating their ice-cream in silence.

"How are you holding up?" Magnus asked

"I don't know" Alec sighed "I was upset after the hearing…knowing my dad will be out in six months…but at least Mom asked for a divorce. That means he'll be out of our lives for good"

"That's really good" Magnus nodded "But I can tell something is troubling you…what's wrong?"

"I don't know…I'm kind of overwhelmed" Alec said with a shrug "I just need a break to take a deep breath and think it all over until I can figure out what to do"

"I understand" Magnus nodded "How about we take a vacation? Just the two of us…traveling around the world"

"As tempting as it sounds" Alec smiled "We can't leave now…Izzy's due a couple of months from now, I need to be here for her"

"Alright…what about after the baby is born?" Magnus asked "We'll be gone after the baby is born and we won't come back until the wedding"

"What about work?" Alec asked, but he already knew he would agree to the plan. A vacation with Magnus sounded perfect.

"I'm sure your boss will give you a few weeks of vacations" Magnus winked at him

"Alright" Alec sighed happily "A vacations sounds perfect"
