Chapter: Five

Leah's Point of view

The pack was waiting in the field that we were currently using for training for the upcoming newborn vampire war. Edward Cullen, the only Cullen that was missing from the training was standing in front of his siblings. He looked different than what he did before he left Bella. He didn't look like someone shoved their foot up his ass. He somewhat seemed like an average teenager even though he wasn't an ordinary teenager.

"Who is that hottie standing next to that leech?" thought Paul, as he tilted his big furry head to the side. I could tell that he and the non-imprinted members of our pack were checking her out. I rolled my eyes at their typical male teenage behavior.

"I don't think she is human," thought Sam, as he sniffed the air.

Her scent did seem different than normal humans. It smelled like donuts and fresh roses, not a bad combination. In fact, I think she smelled better than most of these humans in Forks and La Push together. I wonder what kind of perfume she is wearing; maybe that's why she smells like freshly picked Roses.

"Leah," snapped Sam, in his alpha voice. I cringed, but then gave him my best glare which was kind of hard to do in wolf form. "Can you at least pay attention to what Rose is saying? She isn't human."

"She's only half human," thought Seth, with a roll of his eyes.

"She's still hot for being half bloodsucker," thought Paul, as he thought of different ways he would please a woman like her. "I wonder if she has any single girlfriends that have the same type of body like she does."

"That shouldn't matter," growled Jake. "Didn't anyone notice that Bella is very uncomfortable with her being here?"

"I don't think she was uncomfortable, Jake," thought Quil. "Bella is pissed that Edward has moved on to someone that isn't her. Someone who happens to be better than her in every way. Plus, Bella is pissed that Rose isn't some fragile human as she is."

"Shut up, Quil," snarled Jake. "I can't see why all of you are fawning all over this dhampir girl anyways. She's not human."

Paul growled at him, "She is better than Bella if you haven't noticed."

An ear piercing scream filled the air around us. We all looked towards Rose, who was still screaming, but she current was passed out. Edward had her in his arms. He was protecting her head, as Carlisle quickly checked over her.

"I have absolutely no idea what is going on," said Carlisle, as he frowned. He looked at Edwards in the eyes, before saying, "Son, take her back to the house, and make sure that no one hears her screams. Jasper go with him and make sure that she isn't feeling any pain."

Edward and Jasper both left the field and were on their way towards the Cullen's house. Carlisle, then, looked at us with a frown on his face. "I'm sorry, but we are going to need to postpone training until tomorrow. Right now Roses' life might be on the line."

"Its okay," said Sam, as he shook Carlisle's hand. "We understand. I hope that everything is alright with Rose."

"We will let you know if something happens to her," said Esme, before she and the rest of the Cullen's, including Bella, left the field.

Lissa's Point of View

I opened my eyes and saw that I wasn't in my room. I wasn't even in my office. I sat up and looked all around me. I knew that I had to be somewhere else that was for sure. It was night, and there were several darker clouds in the sky. The clouds stood out more against the darkened sky.

I suddenly hear a female groan, then mutter something underneath her breath. I tried to look for the person. I just hoped it wasn't a Strigoi. I knew for a fact that I wouldn't be able to face one of them. I just wouldn't be able too.

Several feet away from me was a fallen tree, an arm was draped over it. I knew that the female was going to need some help. I was the only one here, so I was the only one who was going to do it.

I slowly got off of the ground and dusted off my white nightgown, that had some dirt and grass particles on my side. I slowly walked over to the fallen tree, and quietly took a look behind. I gasped. There stood the one person who I considered my sister. The one that I hurt so much. I remembered all of the things that I did to her when I was under that spells necklace. I wiped underneath my eyes knowing that some tears spilled out of them.

I took in a deep breath, as I walked around the fallen tree branch, and towards Roses body. She was alive and breathing. Her body didn't seem like it was stuck underneath the tree. I saw a few spots where her clothing was stuck in between the tree and the ground.

"Rose," I said, as I kneeled down next to her. I placed my hand on her sweaty forehead, sending as much spirit into her body as possible. "I love you, Rose, please don't leave me."
