The Sister on the Phone
"Yes, I've met someone Livvy—I know, it's about time." Elaine laughed into her cellphone, hefting a ripe melon from the garden in one hand. "Actually it's the gentleman who hired me as his housekeeper. What's that—? I think autumn would be a lovely time for you to visit, but I'll let you know for sure." She leaned against the counter, looking out over the garden. "He is unlike anyone I've ever met before. No, nothing like that; we agreed to take it slow. I am woefully out of practice with romantic relationships—when was the last? Primary school?"
