"Where do you go during the day?" Elaine finally asked, as they reclined on the back porch.

Severus's slender fingers didn't falter as he continued to peel the orange he held. "The old garden," he murmured, nodding to an ancient looking stone wall covered in ivy to the far left of her own plot.

Elaine accepted half of the citrus segments. "I thought that was the edge of the property."

Severus shook his head. "No, it's where I grow… dangerous plants."

"Will you show me some time?"

He paused for a long moment before seeming to come to a decision. "Yes."
