The Safeguarded One in the Bed

Elaine settled herself comfortably in the safety of Severus's bed, catching a familiar scent. Leaning over, she tentatively sniffed Severus pillow. It held the scent of her daily Atelier Cologne: deep notes of Madagascar vanilla and amber, a touch bright lime and coriander, and finally, sweet jasmine.

She smiled slightly at the discreet romantic nature and unexpected covert gestures of her normally stoic lover. She thought about Severus in the foyer, fighting with the practiced ease of someone able to handle their own, and those little sticks—like something straight from a fantasy novel.

He had some elucidating to do.
