She did not have long to ponder what had happened and whether or not she had actually imagined what she had seen when the door clicked open and Severus entered the room. He stood tall and dark, his face pulled into a stiff mask of displeasure. He limped to the bed and leaned against the carved rosewood post of the canopy.

"May I sit?"

"Of course."

He did not advance, but sat gingerly on the edge.

"Where did you put the intruders?" She asked curiously.

Severus grimaced slightly, the furrow between his brows deepening. "Hogtied in the lower guest room."
