"So—" she started softly, and watched his hand fist in the blue violet duvet.

There was a long moment of silence between them before spoke huskily, "I apologize, I didn't want you to find out this way."

Elaine scrambled down the length of the bed to sit next to him and wrap her arm around his shoulders.

"What exactly have I found out? I'm rather overwhelmed and muddled at the moment," she murmured, pressing close to him.

"I suppose the simplest answer is that I am not ordinary as you would count normal and there are others like me."
