Before Bayard could answer he heard Olivia cry out in pain. He jumped up and ran towards her as everyone else also followed. "Liv sweetheart what's wrong?" Bayard asked walking up to her.

"My water just broke," Olivia said breathless as she looked up at Bayard with a small smile, "The baby is coming," Olivia said.

Chapter 19

Once everyone got over their shock they ran into action. Elliot and Kathy agreed to drive Olivia and Bayard to the hospital, everyone else was going to clean up and meet them at the hospital.

Bayard sat in the back with Olivia coaching her through her breathing as Elliot drove as fast as he could to the hospital. "You doing great sweetheart keep breathing," Bayard said sweetly as he held Olivia's hand.

Olivia relaxed as the contraction subsided, "Kathy I don't know how you did this four times." Olivia said with a little laugh.

Kathy laughed too, "I'm still wondering that myself." Kathy said

Elliot heard Olivia groan as another contraction hit her, "Hang in there Liv we're almost there." Elliot said glancing back at her.

Olivia nodded as she tried to breath through the contraction. She let go of Bayard's hand when it subsided trying to get more comfortable.

Couple minutes later they pulled up at the hospital, Bayard helped Olivia out of the car and into a wheel chair before taking her in. They got check in and were taken to their room where Olivia was hook up to a monitor and IV. The nurse let them know that Dr. Corday would be in to check on her soon.

Bayard rubbed Olivia's back encouraging her as she worked through another contraction. "Do you want some ice chips?" Bayard asked.

Olivia shook her head as she laid back on the bed, "No, but thanks," Olivia said as they heard a knock at the door then saw Cragen and Liz walk in with Jessica right behind them. "Hey guys," Olivia said giving them a small smile.

Cragen returned her smile, "How are you holding up?" Cragen said walking up to her.

"Good right now, in a couple minutes different story." Olivia said rubbing her bump as she felt her son move.

Dr. Corday walked in smiling at Olivia, "Hello Olivia, how's the contractions?" Corday asked as she washed her hands.

"They're painful, but nothing I can't handle right now." Olivia said.

Corday nodded as she made her way over to Olivia, "Good, so the nurse told me that your water already broke." Corday said receiving a nod from Olivia, "Did you experience any contractions before it broke?" Corday asked.

Olivia shook her head but then remembered earlier, "Wait I think I did, after me and Jessica got back from the spa I felt a contraction but I figured it was false labor." Olivia said.

Corday nodded, "That was probably a contraction, I'm going to check to see how far long you are." Corday said.

"We'll go update everyone," Cragen said as him, Liz, and Jessica walked out the room to give Olivia some privacy as the doctor checked her.

Corday lifted up the sheets as she went to check Olivia, "You're going to feel some pressure." Corday said as a heads up. "Ok you're dilated about three." Corday said taking her gloves off. "Do you know if you want an epidural, or are you going for a drug free delivery?" Corday asked.

"Umm, I think I'm going to try to do it drug free, but we'll see what happens." Olivia said, she had been thinking about it for a while now. She can handle pain so she'll see how long she can go without drug intervention.

Corday nodded, "Ok, I'll be by to check on you in about an hour or sooner." Corday said receiving a nod from Olivia before she left.

Olivia turned to Bayard, "I hope he comes fast," Olivia said rubbing her bump feeling her son kick.

Bayard nodded, "Me too I can't wait to meet this little guy." Bayard said setting a hand on Olivia's bump.

Six hours later Olivia was breathing through another contraction, as Bayard wiped the sweat from her forehead. "You're doing great sweetheart." Bayard said as Corday came in to check on Olivia.

"How are you doing Olivia?" Corday asked putting on a glove. Olivia just groan as another contraction ripped through her. Corday gave her a sympathetic smile. Once the contraction subsided, Corday went to check her.

"Please give me some good news Elizabeth." Olivia said.

Corday sighed, "Bad news, you're dilated seven," Corday said hearing Olivia groan. "I know, usually the first ones take the longest, hang in there ok." Corday said before leaving.

"Probably should tell everyone to head home, I know they're probably tired." Olivia said as another contraction ripped through her.

Bayard rubbed circles on her back, "Doing great sweetheart," Bayard said trying to encourage her, he knew she was tired and frustrated. "I'm going to text Elliot and let him know they can go home, we'll call them when the baby get's here." Bayard said pulling out his phone to text Elliot, who text him back saying everyone said their fine and will stick around and that to let Olivia know to hang in there.

Two hours later Dr. Corday came in to check Olivia. Corday smiled up at Olivia, "You made it to ten Olivia, it's time to push." Corday said seeing Olivia smile.

They got Olivia prepped for delivery, "Ok Olivia on the count of three I want you to give me a big push ok." Corday said seeing Olivia nod. "Ok, one, two, three, push." Corday said.

Olivia pushed as hard as she could, she relaxed when she was told to do so. She was told to push again the same way, she never felt pain like this before as she felt her son's head coming out.

Bayard had tears in his eyes as he saw his son being born, "You're almost there sweetheart." Bayard said.

Two more pushes and the room was filled with a baby's cry. Tears fell down Olivia's face as she held her son for the first time."Hey there little man, I'm your mommy." Olivia said as she looked down at her son subconsciously making sure there were ten fingers and toes.

Bayard took a couple of pictures, before Olivia handed their son to him. Bayard smiled down at him, "Hey there," Bayard said as his eyes filled with tears, "I'm your daddy." Bayard said looking down at his son who had black curly hair and his brown eyes that look identical to Olivia's and the same skin complexion as Jessica. He looked up at Olivia, "You did great sweetheart," Bayard said kissing the top of Olivia's head. He handed his son back to Olivia, "I'm going to bring everyone back here to meet him, I know their dying to meet him." Bayard said before walking out.

Bayard walked up to the group surprise to see everyone still there, "Can't believe you guys are still here." Bayard said gaining everyone's attention.

Elliot walked over to him as everyone else did, "We wanted to support Olivia." Elliot explained.

"So is my brother here yet?" Jessica asked anxious.

Bayard smiled at his daughter, "Yes he's here you guys can come and see him." Bayard said seeing everyone smile. Bayard guided them to Olivia's room where they found her holding the baby boy.

Olivia looked up at them, "Hey guys," Olivia said smiling.

Jessica walked up to Olivia, "Hey mom," Jessica said giving her a hug as she looked down at her little brother. "He's so cute," Jessica gushed.

Olivia laughed, "You want to hold him?" Olivia asked already knowing the answer.

Jessica nodded as she carefully took her brother into her arms smiling down at him, "You're so cute you know that," Jessica said.

"Are we going to find out this little guys name?" Elliot asked looking down at the baby boy.

Olivia nodded, "Yes, I would like to introduce to you all Caden Levi Ellis." Olivia said as she watched Jessica hold Caden.

Jessica smiled, "Caden," Jessica said looking at him, "It fits I like it." Jessica said as she handed Caden to Elliot.

Olivia laughed, "I'm glad you approve." Olivia said as she watched Elliot hand Caden over to Cragen.

Elliot gave Olivia a hug, "Congratulations Liv, I'm really happy for you," Elliot said as he shook Bayard's hand.

"Thanks El," Olivia said. Everyone got a chance to hold the baby before he became fussy, wanting his mommy. Olivia took him into her arms and he calmed down.

Couple minutes later a nurse came in and told them that Olivia and Caden need their rest. Slowly everyone left until it was Alex and Jessica. Alex phone rang she excused herself for a minute.

Jessica sat down next to Olivia as she smiled down at her little brother, "So I'm staying with Alex until you get release right?" Jessica asked double checking.

Olivia nodded, "Yupe, hopefully they don't keep me long." Olivia said as she watched her son sleep peacefully in her arms. She looked up at Bayard and Jessica with a smile on her face as she looked back down at her son. She was finally the woman who has the loving husband and children. She finally had what she always wanted, a family.
