Severus took full advantage of the silence to stand and draw Elaine up after him. "Exquisite feast as always Mrs. Weasley—but I find I'm done in. Goodnight."
He let them out into the back garden where the azure of the sky was deepening into the darkness of night. She trailed after him, tired and rung out.
"You're quite subdued tonight," he said wrapping his long, wizard robe, stiff with enchantments, around her shoulders.
"Not to press, but when do you think we can go home?" She asked wistfully.
He spun her into apparition and steadied her as they landed.
