Harry's cheeks bloomed like carnations. "You know that's not what I meant."

"Hmf. Come Elaine, time for lunch. Call me when you find something worthwhile," he addressed the younger boy, eyes narrowing. "But do drop off the antidote on your way down."

Potter waved his hand at their retreating backs. "Of course! Of course!"

Severus stalked down the hall, outstripping Elaine's running stride.

"Severus—Severus! Darling?"
