When they had stepped into the dark realm, the first they did was look up at the evil, dark sky. It was a mixture of mainly black and dark purple, but there were many other colors as well, such as red, blue, and green. The ground was also made of solid darkness with a mixture of purple and red. The main path, however, was a glowing yellow color. Dark lightning also appeared in the background, but it was very far from where they stood.
Tamber had tried to open the door behind him, but it refused to open. Looks like there was no going back...
"Well... This is it..." Chopper trailed. "We're here..."
"I don't know what to say about it..." Flyer said with uncertainty. "It's definitely the darkest place I've been."
"So, where exactly are we supposed to go?" Berry asked. "We're at our destination, but we haven't got a clue where in this place we have to go."
"Hmmmmm... Well, the only idea I have is moving ahead... I know nothing of this place."
"I guess you're right," Bombette nodded. "We should get moving now. Hopefully there won't be a lot of enemies here either..."
"Oh, I wouldn't count on that…" Chopper trailed, approaching the door with a light purple glow on the frame, while the rest was dark purple and black. "OK, let's get going."
Everyone else followed him through the door into the next area, where they only found a glowing yellow platform ahead. In height, the area was high, but in width, not exactly. When Chopper jumped on the yellow platform, he gaped when he saw light blue glowing platforms appear in front of him, acting like stairs.
"Whoa… This is interesting. Well, looks like we finally found our way to go up…" Chopper jumped up the steps before they disappeared, making it to the next door up on a ledge. He waited patiently for the others to come to him before walking into the next room.
Entering the next door, they found themselves in an area with a small bridge leading up to a door ahead. There were two torches at the beginning and the end of the road. The flames on them were dark purple, with the core being black.
"I gotta admit, this place does feel a bit freaky," Chopper commented as he stepped onto the bridge. Thankfully, it wasn't too long, but the lightning in the background as they crossed made it all eerie.
While they crossed the bridge, two Darklings appeared. However, they looked much different compared to others. Their dark purple bulbs had black spikes covering them, and their fingers were more pointy.
"Do you sssee what I sssee?" the first Darkling hissed.
"Why, yesss, my dear friend!" the other replied. "I sssee Chopper and hisss pesky friendsss crossssssing that bridge! I'm not too sssurprisssed that he made it thisss far…"
Chopper came to a halt when he spotted the two Darklings ahead. "What the… There are Darklings here? Say... They looks a lot different..."
"Ah, Chopper! We've been waiting for you!" the first Darkling gave him an evil grin. "It isss sssafe to assssssume that you have defeated Camikon. Though you may have defeated him, you're jussst gotten started! Welcome to our world now!"
"And what is your world?" Berry asked.
"You are in Dark Subspace World!" the other Darkling cackled. "We love thisss place with a dark passssssion! Unfortunately, for you all, we cannot allow you to go any further. Having you reach the core isss a very bad idea..."
"Core? That MUST be our destination!" Chopper realized. "Thanks for the help!"
"Uh oh... We better dessstroy them!" the first Darkling gulped, conjuring up a dark purple energy ball. Chopper, however, had thrown a light ball at it and let it explode into light.
"Look what you've done to my comrade!" the Darkling remaining conjured up a dark purple energy ball. "I ssshall make you perisssh!"
Before it could attack Chopper, Tamber had thrown a punch at it, and Mario jumped on its head. It was then finished off when Vivian struck it with her Shade Fist.
"That was...interesting," Flyer remarked. "They were certainly freaky, too."
"Oh, come on! Are you serious about being scared?! This place isn't as freaky as Tartamosl was!" Tamber declared, taking a look up at the sky and then at the torches, no longer feeling too brave. "Err… I stand corrected!"
"I thought you weren't afraid of anything?" Chopper said, tilting his head.
"Uhhh… That was…" Tamber stammered. "Well, let's just say I'm not afraid of anything else! …Except this place and Tartamos."
"Sure you are…" Flyer replied before they made their way over to the door. "Is there any castle or fortress here? Or is this place a whole dark realm with nothing but darkness?"
"I'm not so sure..." Chopper answered, grabbing a hold of the door knob. They reached the next area and found another path leading to a staircase moving down. Two Darklings were in this area, along with Dry Bones in a gray color with red eyes called Shadow Bones.
Not only that, but they swore that heard the sound of a Bullet Bill being fired.
"Oh, don't tell me there's Bullet Bills here!" Chopper sighed, looking down at the bottom. He took notice of the dark Bullet Bill with purple glowing eyes. They were deemed Subspace Bills, while the dark Bill Blasters were named Subspace Bill Blasters.
"We've got a long way down there," Shadower sighed, looking at the Subspace Bills being fired. "This is gonna be fun."
"I think the only thing we have to worry about are those guys," Scrub said, pointing at the Shadow Bones and Darklings up ahead.
"Ehhh… I think we can handle those guys." Sonic declared confidently, looking over at Mario. "Don't you think so, Mario?"
Mario: Yes!
Vivian raised her finger and set the Darklings and Shadow Bones on fire with her Fiery Jinx. Luckily, the Shadow Bones were weak to fire, unlike the Fire Bones.
"It's a good thing I can hurt them with fire," Vivian smiled, lowering her arm while she watched them burn.
Chopper took out the two Darklings by tossing two light balls at them. The two Shadow Bones ended up dying after being burned off by Vivian's flames, clearing the way.
"Grab as many coins, hearts and flowers as you can!" Scrub shouted as a couple of coins, hearts and flowers dropped from the ground.
"Yeah, yeah… I know about that." Chopper nodded, collecting the hearts and flowers to recover a tiny bit of his HP and FP. While he didn't need the coins, he still took them anyway.
There was also a yellow ? Block up ahead near the first pair of stairs. Chopper struck it, making a Max Shroom come out and land on the ground. "This should be helpful!" Chopper smiled, picking it up and putting it away.
"How many of those do you have?" Shadower asked.
"I think I lost count."
They reached the stairs and headed down to the next path. They started moving to the left this time, where there were more stairs leading down. Plus, there were two Shadow Bones that were in the way.
"You know, I always wondered why Camikon had a door leading here in his room in the first place?" Flyer wondered. "He never mentioned it to us either."
"Maybe he didn't know about it," Chopper replied as he tossed a fireball at the Shadow Bones. "But it's too late to ask him that..."
Upon reaching the next pair of stairs, they had reached the bottom of the area. There was a yellow ? Block hanging from a distance near one staircase, which Sonic managed to hit after Chopper kicked him toward it. At the bottom of the area, the door up ahead was being block by a Subspace Bill Blaster. It was shooting a couple of Bullet Bills in their direction.
"You're gonna need to help us here, Vivian," Chopper noted.
"All right, I know what to do," Vivian followed the group closely as they approached the Subspace Bill Blaster. When Subspace Bills fired in their direction, she grabbed pulled them into the shadows, letting the missiles fly over them. They repeated this process a couple of time until they reached the Subspace Blaster, where Bombette destroyed it with her Bomb.
"There! That takes care of that!" Bombette declared, opening the door ahead. They followed her into a larger pathway where some sections disappeared when they got close to it. Chopper decided to test whether the floor was still solid even when it was invisible with a light ball.
To their dismay, it only went into the abyss below.
"Crud..." Scrub gulped.
"Now you sssee why being able to float is easier than having feet!" one Darkling that was flying over the pathway hissed.
Chopper looked at the Darkling for a moment before he tossed a light ball at its direction, quickly destroying it. Now there was the problem of getting over this pathway, which many appeared worried.
Well, except for one.
"You guys are seriously scared of this? I can do this with eas-" Once Tamber set foot on the path where it disappeared, he nearly fell off. Thankfully, Chopper had managed to grab him just in time. "OH, SWEET STAR DIAMONDS!"
"I got you, Tamber! Don't scream!" Chopper cried, trying to pull him up.
"I'm not TRYING to scream, you know…" Tamber grumbled as he was pulled up from the bottomless pit with the others helping. "I could've handled that on my own!"
"But you would've been a goner if no one helped you," Sonic mentioned.
"I ain't gonna listen to you guys or the gumball. I'm gonna move on. This time, I'm gonna GLIDE!" Tamber jumped and spread his arms out to allow him to glide over to the door. A Darkling noticed him trying to get across, so it shot an energy ball at him. Though it hit him, it didn't stop him from continuing on, and he eventually gave it a good beating. Afterward, he decided to wait by the door lazily, leaving the others to try to get across.
"I think I have a good idea on how to get through here," Flyer suggested. "Why can't we just fly everyone across? Some people here can fly around, for your information."
"Yeah, I suppose we can do that," Chopper agreed, letting Flyer grab his arm and fly him over to the door. Other people who could float or fly helped the people who couldn't. Sonic, however, used his speed to get across.
"That was too easy to get across," Sonic grinned.
"Glad to know that," Shadower deadpanned, the group opening the door into the next area. They found a small area with a picture floating up by what is supposed to be a "wall", along with several blocks on the ground that resembled the picture. Only, this once was a little scrambled up.
"It looks like a puzzle," Flyer commented, looking at both things.
"Well, we better get to solving it, then," Chopper began to push one of the blocks over to the unmovable block. This process had taken around four minutes, and it mostly involved him pushing around the blocks. Eventually he finished, and the picture he had made was that of a Darkling. Before he could relax, the blocks quickly vanished into a puff of smoke, and in its place was a Darkling.
When Goombella had tattled it, it was revealed that the Darkling had 94 HP, an Attack of 21, and a Defense of 0. Chopper decided not to take it as a big deal and threw a light ball at it, while Tamber took 12 out of it with his Combo Punch,
"You ssshall pay for your terrible deedsss!" the Darkling hissed, shooting a dark energy ball at Chopper, which exploded upon impact.
"Ugh… All of this dark energy is starting to bother me!" Chopper frowned as he tossed another light ball at the Darkling, causing it some extreme pain.
"Argh! I can't take the light!" the Darkling screamed.
"Well, serves ya right!" Sonic scoffed, striking it with a Spin Dash. He ended up getting knocked back by the Darkling's dark energy ball afterward. In the end, it had lost when Chopper fired a light ball, causing it to explode into light. Along with that, a Subspace Key had dropped from it as well. Chopper had a made a dash for it and caught it before it could fall.
"Gotcha!" Chopper cried, holding the key up. "Now let's get out of this area!"
Chopper had unlocked the door ahead and entered it. When they set foot in the next area, they found a couple of floating glowing platforms and apparently, the door was up above on one of the platforms. There was also a small path up ahead, too.
"I think I can reach up there," Flyer informed.
"Looks like it," Chopper nodded, looking up at the platforms as dark lightning struck in the background.
"Hey, Chopper, what's that over there?" Shadower pointed to the Fire Block blocking a tunnel up ahead.
"Oh, that? It's a…" Chopper froze at the moment he saw the block. "…Fire Block? Uh oh..."
"Are you OK, Chopper?" Bombette asked.
"I don't know... But I don't like the looks of that."
"Don't be such a baby about it," Tamber scoffed. "Just toss a fireball at it, and it'll be gone!"
"A fireball won't work against it, though... Vivian has to light me on fire for it to work."
"Oh... That'd be funny!" the furball snickered, receiving glares from the others. "Errr... Sounds painful."
Vivian frowned as she floated behind him, apologizing before she lit a small fire behind Chopper. His eyes widened, and his feet began to flail around. Once she stopped, he began to run toward the Fire Block.
"IT BUUUUUUURNS!" Chopper cried as he crashed into the Fire Block, destroying it. He had landed on his behind, putting out the flames. When he looked up ahead, he spotted a door. "Oh... Well, there's the door.
"But there's still the upper path," Berry said, pointing upward.
"Then let's check it out first," Flyer grabbed a hold of Chopper and began to fly up the platforms to the upper path. The rest decided to help those who couldn't fly get there, but they didn't have time to take a break when a rock had his Tamber in the face.
"Ow! What the heck is that thing?!" Tamber exclaimed, noticing a black Shy Guy with a dark purple mask holding a slingshot.
Mario: It's a Subspace Guy!
"Subspace Guy? Real original." Shadower replied, hitting the Subspace Guy with a Shadow Punch. "Is everything else named after them?"
"Beats me," Chopper shrugged. "But a lot of enemies we've seen look pretty similar to previous ones!"
Entering the door, they found a light purple grinding rail that led over to a pathway ahead. However, there were black Embers on the rail called Dark Embers that were in the way. They resembled the candles in this world, but their cores appeared more purplish than gray.
"Now we have the return of those Ember guys," Chopper sighed.
"I think we last saw them in the Palace of Shadower," Vivian recalled.
"Funny... I remember seeing ice versions in the Night Palace." Flyer mentioned. "Anyway, that's not important. Let's just continue onward."
Chopper nodded and jumped on the rail, allowing the speed booster on it carry him on ahead. The rest, with the exception of Sonic, decided to wait for him.
When the two had reached the end of the rail, they had come to a stop when they found a dead end. At first, they were about to turn back, but then Chopper spotted a small opening underneath the wall. Smiling, he lied down and slipped underneath the wall with Sonic. The two had found a Master Shroom on a lone platform after standing up. The only problem, however, was that there was a gap in the way.
"Oh, crud... There's no reaching that..." Chopper frowned.
"Uhhh... Chopper..."
"Well, we could get Scrub or Berry back, but I know Scrub can't grind across the railing..."
"Hey, Chopper!"
"Yeah?"
"Don't you remember that I can reach things across gaps?" Sonic reminded, making Chopper come to realization and face palm.
"Why didn't I remember that?" Chopper groaned.
Sonic decided not to bother answering and let Chopper kick him over to the key. Once he nabbed it, they headed back to the other railing that was going in the opposite direction and returned to their friends.
"So, what'd you find?" Bombette asked.
"We found this!" Sonic answered, holding up a Master Shroom.
"Neat. Now let's go through the main path."
They left the area and returned to the door that was hidden by the Fire Block. Going into the next area, they didn't find much. There were dark walls that slowly disappeared when it reached a certain height. Thankfully, these walls would also prevent them from falling off. But that was not what was important. There was a locked door up ahead, leaving everyone to groan.
"Great. We had to run into another locked door." Tamber groaned.
"Look who's guarding it, though," Shadower said, pointing to a pile of black bones on the ground.
"Whoa… Is that a new kind of Shadow Bones?" Scrub gawked.
"The way it's in front of the door reminds of the Dark Bones in the Palace of Shadow," Berry recalled. "There's a lot of stuff rehashed from there..."
"It's also like that teddy bear Chopper and I ran into as well..." Vivian added, while Chopper approached the bones.
"Well, I don't think it's going to be that big of a deal," Chopper assured, poking the bones and receiving no response. "See? Nothing to worry about! Now we just need to find that key-"
The pile of bones began to shake, grabbing everyone's attention.
"Gluuuuurgh… Bluuurgh… Foolish mortals…" the pile of bones moaned. "You shall not pass through here… Those who disturb him shall drown in darkness…"
"Drown in darkness?" Chopper questioned. "What's it talking about?"
At that point, the pile of bones rose up, revealing its purple eyes. It was named a Subspace Bones, the strongest of the Dry Bone clan. It raised its arms, and an army of Shadow Bones fell from the sky, filling the room and pushing everyone back.
"What the heck is going on?!" Tamber yelled as the Subspace Bones started to teleport around the room.
"Let no one get the key to this door…" the Subspace Bones trailed.
"Well I'm not going to let this thing teleport around the room like that!" Chopper gripped his hammer and began to knock the Shadow Bones away by spinning it. "Come on, guys! Start knocking them back!"
"You got it!" Berry began swinging her hammer at the Shadow Bones, sending them flying into both the background and foreground.
"Just keep hitting them so we can catch that Subspace Bones!" Chopper yelled out as they continued to knock them away, with him using his Diamond Hammer technique.
"Hey! I see the Subspace Bones!" Bombette called out, lightning her fuse and charging at the Subspace Bones, causing an explosion that blew a couple of Shadow Bones away from the fight. When everyone else joined her, they saw the Subspace Bones was accompanied by four Shadow Bones.
"Uh oh... Well, this is great. I suppose we should get rid of them. I think I know what to do!" Chopper smiled, pulling the Garnet Star out. The ability, Showstopper, was successful in taking out the Shadow Bones, but not the Subspace Bones. It didn't even flinch! "Oh... Well, at least those Shadow Bones are out of the way..."
After Goombella had tattled the Subspace Bones, it was revealed to have a Max HP of 105 HP, an Attack of 21, and a Defense of 6. The defense was not something they were happy to see.
"Looks like we need to use some serious firepower to take this thing out!" Chopper gripped his hammer and struck the Subspace Bones with a Master Hammer attack. Vivian lit up the Subspace Bones with a Fiery Jinx to pierce through its defense and leave a nasty burn on it. Bombette already dealt 4 damage to it before thanks to her First Strike, so they were off to a good start.
"You will not pass, mortals…" the Subspace Bones moaned as it threw a bone at Chopper.
"Let's see how it handles my Master Gloves," Chopper declared, shooting multiple fireballs above the Subspace Bones. It eventually fell on it and dealt 16 damage. Flyer followed up with a Flying Attack, bringing it down to 49 HP.
"All right, we're getting there," Sonic smirked – only to get hit by the Subspace Bones. He fought back by using his Sonic Wind, doing only 6 damage. "Sheesh! My Sonic Wind isn't even strong against this thing! What gives?!"
"Calm down, Sonic. I think we can still beat him down." Chopper used his Gravity Jump on the Subspace Bones to take 16 out of it, leaving it with only 25 HP. When the Subspace Bones threw at bone at him, he Superguarded it struck it with his Master Hammer. Once Vivian used her Fire Wall, it was defeated.
"We did it!" Vivian smiled, watching the remaining Shadow Bones run out. Upon its defeat, the Subspace Bones left a Subspace Key sitting on the ground.
"Poyo! (Let's grab that key and get out of here!)" Kirby cried, swiping the key and skipping over to the locked door. He broke the lock by inserting the key into its keyhole and then entering the next area.
They only found a trail leading to a glowing yellow platform.
"That must be the way to go," Chopper said as he prepared to make a dash toward the platform. Unfortunately, he was put to a halt when two figure in armor came hovering down onto the ground.
"So, have you found any sign of them?" the first one asked.
"Negative. I think they might be somewhere ahead. If we take a look there, then maybe we might find them."
Getting a closer look at them, the heroes noticed they were in dark purple and black armor with a helmet that had a black visor and purple eyes. A pair of purple spikes protruded from the side of their heads and they had jetpacks capable of long flight. There were also additional gadgets in their armor like a knife, a cutter, and even a grappling hook.
"What ARE those things?!" Chopper thought.
"That sounds like a good idea," the first armored figure loaded its black laser rifle. "It's been a while since we got to shoot something. They were said to be just arriving."
"Yeah, that's true," the other armored figure began to twirl one of its pistols around. "Whoops! I didn't mean to drop that…"
"I think dropping your pistol is the least of your concerns... Listen, we're supposed to be scouting for any intruders, specifically that one antennae freak and his friends. Of course, there are others who have arrived that we need to get rid of."
"Whoa... Those guys look cool!" Scrub gaped.
"Huh? Did you just hear something?" the first figure turned to find the heroes gaping at them. "Hey! I don't believe it! They're here! So this is the legendary Chopper I've been hearing about? He's so small!"
"Oh, crud..." Chopper gulped. "How do these guys know of us?"
"I take it you've never heard of us," the second figure said. "Well, it's not too surprising. We're usually guarding this realm and are not allowed to leave that often. As for our names... You may refer to us as Darksprine Troopers! We are the most powerful of the Tartara army, surpassing even the Royal Guards!"
"Wait... THESE guys are the ones that old geezer was saying were a lot stronger?" Tamber gawked. "They're a lot smaller compared to them!"
"Hey, just 'cause we're smaller doesn't mean we're weaker!"
Trying to figure out how to get away from these guys, Chopper attempted to run past them. One of the Darksprines had noticed this and aimed its wrist in his direction. A grappling hook had fired out and wrapped around Chopper's foot, causing him to trip.
"You think we'd let you go so easily?!" the Darksprine Trooper with the two pistols grinned. "Unlike the Tartaras, we don't let our enemies get away so easily!"
Chopper slowly got back up using his hands, but the Darksprine decided to have fun and yanked its arm back to knock him onto the ground. Then it started to fly upward, dragging Chopper along and letting him hang upside down. The other Darksprine found himself chuckling.
"Agh! I'm not giving up so easily!" Chopper growled, shooting a light ball at the Darksprine dragging him, while it tried to shoot back at Chopper. While both had avoided the attacks, Chopper had thrown another light ball. This time, it was more successful.
"Unnnghh!" the Darksprine had gotten knocked back, forcing it to retract its grappling hook and let go of him. Chopper ended up landing headfirst and was left in a small daze.
"You idiot! We could've had him!" the other Darksprine Trooper growled, readying its assault rifle and firing rapidly at Chopper before he could get up. However, Sonic had interrupted it with a Homing Attack, while Mario performed a Triple Jump that hit both Darksprine Troopers. Once Vivian struck them with a Fire Wall, they were left with a burn.
"Ugh... So you people are a bigger threat than we thought." the first Darksprine grumbled, rubbing its helmet in pain. "For now, we retreat... But expect more of us, Chopper!"
Before the group could go after them, the two troopers immediately flew off.
"Great... They got away..." Sonic frowned.
"It's quiet interesting that these were the ones Camikon spoke of before," Flyer remarked. "I mean, after all those attacks, they didn't feel too exhausted, which is why I question their retreat."
"Probably to give the others the heads up," Berry deduced.
Chopper frowned, realizing that this wasn't going to be a smooth as he thought when he jumped onto the yellow platform ahead. When more glowing platforms appeared, he leaped up to each of them and was led to a door with a Save Block and Heart Block beside it. He quickly hit both blocks before approaching the door.
Considering that he saw those two blocks, he and the others had a feeling there was going to be something dangerous ahead. Regardless of that, they opened the door and proceeded into a large, circular room. It was empty, having no enemies in sight. They were relieved as they took a couple of steps into the area, while the door closed behind them.
And that's when everything went downhill.
"Buh! Buh! Buh huh huh!"
Lord Crump had suddenly fell from the sky and landed in front of the group, leaving them with shocked expressions.
"Finally you show up, Chopper!" Lord Crump exclaimed. "I've been waitin' a WHILE for you, y'know! And man, I can't stand waiting for my enemies!"
"Lord Crump?! What are YOU doing here?!" Chopper gaped.
"Well, you see, Grodus was able to find a way to get us into this place, and it didn't require the Crystal Stars! Yeah, you heard me! And since you're here, I guess you know that those Crystal Stars you collected were all for nothing!"
"How do you know about this?" Shadower asked.
"Oh, it was thanks to Grodus," Lord Crump explained. "You see, when all twenty Crystal Stars are collected, they will open the portal to a new world when brought to the right place. A dark world, that is! You've been helping us all along! And THAT is what makes this plan so cool!"
"So Grodus is here too?" Vivian questioned.
"Oh, yeah, but I doubt you'll ever see him. By the way, the Crystal Stars weren't the ONLY thing he wanted. There is something else that he also wants to get!"
"What does Grodus want?" Bombette asked.
"Pbbbbbbth! Like I'll ever tell you that! I ain't that stupid! The only reason I'm here is because Grodus sent me to stop you!"
"What are you gonna do, use your body to attack us?" Chopper scoffed. "It's not going to work again."
"Oh, I got something even better in store for you!" Lord Crump grinned, pulling a remote from his pocket. "Yeah… I bet when you see this thing, you're gonna cry for mercy."
With one click of the red button, the ground began to shake. In a moment, a large robot resembling not only Magnus von Grapple, but also Lord Crump had slowly descended from the sky and landed beside Lord Crump. There wasn't even a glass cockpit on it either, resembling Lord Crump's head instead, but with two, glowing red eyes. The white X on the body had a red "3" labeled on it. Rather than having drill fists, this one had one certain guns on both fists, such as a missile launcher, machine guns, and even lasers.
"Wait... You made another one of these robots?" Chopper gawked.
"Buh! Buh! Buh huh huh! Oh, you BET I did!" Lord Crump fist pumped. "And it's just not any kind of Magnus von Grapple! This is Magnus von Grapple 3.0 we're talkin' here! This thing is designed to DESTROY!"
Lord Crump opened the hatch and jumped in to take control. Magnus's eyes flashed for a moment before it started to move and aimed its weapons at the heroes.
"Get ready for a clobbering, losers! This is where it ends!"
Tattle: Oh, come on! AGAIN?! Well, this is Magnus von Grapple 3.0. It's Lord Crump's new robot, having a design that matches him. He must REALLY love himself to make it resemble him! Max HP is 490, Attack is 20, and Defense is 4. Magnus will now shoot missiles, along with lasers. Wow. I guess Crump really did improve his machine. But, still… It does inflate his ego, that's for sure. Just watch out when it retracts its fists. Those things have 10 HP, an Attack of 22, and a Defense of 0. If he retracts them, take them out IMMEDIATELY! If you manage to do all of that, then he shouldn't be TOO bad. Though, seeing his face around still bugs me... Why can't he just go away already?
"Yeah, those last two versions were complete garbage, so I decided to improve this bad boy! It took a while, but I managed to do it! Now you're looking at the new and improved Magnus von Grapple!" Lord Crump cackled. "Prepare for some pain, Chopper!"
"Oh, yeah? Maybe it's YOU who's going to feel pain!" Chopper pulled his hammer out and smashed it at Magnus's feet, taking only 6 out. "Oh... Well, you're still going to feel it! ...We might need to use some stronger attacks."
"Let me help!" Shadower volunteered, lowering Magnus's defense by striking it with a Shadow Punch.
"Grrrrrr! My defense!" Lord Crump gripped the two joysticks as hard as possible. In response, he made Magnus fire a dark laser at Shadower, dealing 20 damage to him. "Yeah! You like that? That's the new Magnus Laser! I decided to grab some dark power in this place to upgrade this bad boy, and presto! Its weapons are stronger than ever!"
"Well... Errr... I've got nothing." Chopper made his next move by using his Spin Jump on Magnus, hitting its head for 15 damage. Tamber struck its body with a Power Punch, taking a good 14 out of it.
"All right, here it comes!" Magnus shot both of its fists out, making them float in front of it. "Look who's in trouble now! Buh huh huh!"
"Uh oh… This isn't good." Chopper gulped. He made his move by striking Lord Crump's robot with his Light Stomp. Vivian destroyed both fists with her Fiery Jinx, along with leaving Magnus with a burn.
"That should be helpful," Vivian said.
Lord Crump grumbled to himself as he made Magnus bring its foot down on Chopper. He couldn't help but feel satisfied when Chopper was left flattened like a pancake. Chopper quickly shook himself and then unleashed a D-Down Jump on Magnus 3.0, taking 10 out of it. Bombette quickly followed up with her Bomb, bringing Magnus's HP down to 417.
"Better bring out the good ol' fists again," Lord Crump spread out Magnus's arms as new fists attached to its folded black paper arms. "Let's see how you like some missiles, Chopper!"
Rockets fired up from Magnus's body and came down on Chopper. He managed to bring his guard up to take less damage, but it didn't do too much.
"I might as well use one of my Copy Abilities," Chopper changed to his Beam ability and struck Magnus with a beam whip from his wand. Kirby followed up by using his Final Cutter on the robot, landing a stylish move as well.
"Time to turn up the heat! Buh huh huh!" Lord Crump pressed a button, and Magnus began to use its flamethrower upon the group. To his dismay, the attack was Superguarded, leaving them unharmed. "What?! You gotta be kidding me!"
"Ha! I bet you didn't expect that!" Scrub laughed.
Chopper agreed with a nod as he attacked Magnus with his Master Gloves. He made the giant light ball come down on Magnus and deal 16 damage to him. With Scrub's Mega Egg, the robot was down to 371 HP. Along with that, Magnus von Grapple 3.0 was starting to lose its balance. Thankfully, Lord Crump managed to make it readjust its balance.
"Taste laser, losers!" Magnus aimed its fist at Chopper and fired a dark laser at him. "Luckily, having this thing being powered by dark energy makes this thing stronger than before! I'm such a genius!"
"Considering your last attempts to defeat us, you are quite a genius..." Flyer deadpanned.
"I know! ...Wait a minute!"
Chopper pulled out the Star Rod and fired a Star Blast at Magnus. Flyer had made his move next, striking the robot with a Flying Attack. Lord Crump, however, was less than pleased, but he remained calm.
"Hmmmmmm… Let's see..." Lord Crump pressed a green button, making the guns on the fists turn into actual fists. "All right, punks! You want a fist in your face? Well, I'll give you one with THIS move!"
He pressed an orange button, making Magnus shoot its right fist at Chopper. The fist came back onto Magnus's arm after hitting Chopper, leaving a mark on him as well. Annoyed, Chopper took his hammer out and struck him with his Master Hammer.
"Go get him, Mario!" Chopper shouted.
Mario nodded and made a big leap onto Magnus's head, delivering a powerful Super Jump. Lord Crump made his robot knock him back with a punch as a result.
"Stupid plumber!" Lord Crump growled. "We should've taken you out months ago! …Wait, we couldn't, 'cause Grodus was still bodyless!"
"But why do you still follow his orders?" Chopper questioned.
"Well... Uhh... That's none of your business!"
Once Shadower used his Shadow Punch, Chopper had struck the robot with a Gravity Jump. Lord Crump decided that he would attack Shadower this time, so he let Magnus fire a fist at Shadower this time. Once Chopper attacked with a Spring Jump, and Kirby using his Cartwheel, Magnus von Grapple 3.0 was down to 269 HP.
"Poyo! (You should give up now!)" Kirby suggested.
"Yeah, he's right," Chopper agreed. "You're not going to beat us like this!"
"Buh! Buh! Buh huh huh! You really think this is over yet? Well get a load of THIS!" Lord Crump pressed another button, and Magnus ascended with its jetpack, and then quickly struck the ground, sending a dark shockwave toward everyone.
"Oh, great… Now he's ripping off Eggman with that speech." Sonic sighed.
"It's not a big deal," Berry said, hitting Magnus with a Ruby Throw, with Chopper following up with his Ultra Gloves. That was when Lord Crump changed Magnus's fists to machine guns. It aimed at the group and open fired, dealing 20 damage to them all.
"Man, that attack was gnarly!" Scrub gaped.
"Not as bad as Camikon's attacks, though," Chopper said, using his Power Bounce on Lord Crump's machine, bouncing on it fourteen times until he jumped off and performed a stylish move. Tamber threw in his Combo Punch afterward.
"All right, time to let the fists do its work," Lord Crump declared, making Magnus detach its fists. Like before, Vivian had destroyed them, but this time with a Fire Wall. Chopper then struck the robot with a light ball to deal 6. "H-Hey! Don't do that! This thing needs dark energy, not light!"
"Sorry..." Chopper shrugged, getting knocked away with Magnus's foot. "Oof… Well, he sure puts up a fight…"
Chopper used another Master Glove attack on Magnus, followed up by Shadower's Shadow Punch, bringing his HP down to 186.
"We're getting there..." Shadower mumbled.
"Buh huh huh…uh, crud. How come you guys aren't done yet?" questioned Lord Crump while he scratched his head.
"We're not going to let ourselves get beaten down by you, don't you realize that?" Chopper replied.
"Well, I still have this!" Lord Crump was going to make an attack, but he soon realized Magnus's fists weren't back on. "Oh, wait... Why did I forget to get those fists back on?"
With that, he got two new fists on the robot.
"All right, much better! Now to get to business!" Magnus's hands changed into vacuums as they sucked the audience members into the robot.
"Where have I seen this before?" Chopper wondered.
"Now let's see how you like a stronger laser!"
Magnus fired a large, dark laser at Chopper while audience members were being fired out. Each member did about 5 damage to him, but he managed to guard them all, only taking 40 damage.
"Geez… That really hurt." Chopper groaned, quickly shaking his head and striking the robot with a Gravity Jump.
"All right, I'm gonna try out something I don't think I used yet…" Shadower used his Shadow Blast and fired a large amount of dark energy at Lord Crump's robot, dealing 12 damage in the process.
"Grrrrr! Why can't you give up already?! All this hard work I put into this thing and you're STILL not confetti!" Lord Crump made Magnus fire a dark laser at Chopper, knocking his Beam ability away.
"Gah! Oh, fine… I guess I should use the Star Rod again." Chopper used the Star Rod to strike Magnus with a Star Blast. Bombette's decided to use her Explosion to deal 10 damage and bring it down to 133 HP. In response, Magnus fired a couple of missiles at Bombette, who proceeded to guard them. Annoyed, she attacked with another Explosion, taking another 10 out of it, followed by Chopper's D-Down Jump.
"Huff… Hack… I guess you really have some firepower. I wasn't expecting to see that…" wheezed Lord Crump, detaching Magnus's fists. This only backfired on him when Vivian destroyed them with another Fiery Jinx, which was followed up by Chopper's Hammer Throw.
"Magnus is down to 93 HP. We have this battle!" Chopper smiled.
"Not for long! Magnus Drill!" Magnus changed its fist to a drill, and it quickly flew upward and dove down at the group. They managed to Superguard the attack, taking no damage. As soon as Shadower used a Shadow Punch, Chopper ate a Maximum Recovery to recover all of his HP and FP.
"Whew… Now I feel much better." Chopper sighed in relief.
Lord Crump's face turned red in anger as he fired Magnus's machine guns at Chopper, knocking him back in the process. Regardless of that, Chopper changed to his Bomb ability and threw a powerful bomb at Magnus, taking 12 out of it. Tamber had struck it with a Power Punch as well, but he was struck by some missiles afterward.
After Tamber did a little sulking, Shadower lowered Magnus's defense again with a Shadow Punch, and then Chopper's Gravity Jump helped bring it down to 22 HP.
"Urk… You… My robot… Look at it!" Lord Crump noticed a couple of sparks coming from his robot, along with a couple of dents as well. "Is this how you treat something that's been worked hard on?!"
"If it was supposed to be used against me... I'm not so sure..."
"Grrrr! That's it!" Magnus sucked up the audience members once again with its vacuum and fired its dark laser at Chopper. Unfortunately, he didn't guard any attacks, so he took 50 damage from it.
"Yeow! That really hurt!" Chopper wailed. He managed to pull a large bomb out and toss it at Magnus to bring it down to 10 HP. "OK... One more attack should finish this."
"Leave it to me!" Bombette smirked, lighting her fuse up. "You're gonna regret facing us, Crump!"
She charged at Magnus with all of her might, and with one explosion, she managed to put an end to the robot.
"BUUUAAAAAAARGH!" Lord Crump screamed as sparks began flying everywhere in his robot. "What have I done to deserve this?!"
The group smiled, taking in their victory and claiming the Star Points they deserved. It was at that moment when a bright light began to emit from Magnus von Grapple 3.0.
"GR-GROOOOOODUUUUUUS! HOW… HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?!" Lord Crump wailed. The robot began to let off several explosion, and at that moment, Lord Crump was flung out of the robot and was sent flying into the sky.
"Well, there goes Lord Crump…" Chopper sighed, noticing him fly farther and farther. "I don't think we'll ever be seeing him again."
"Let's hope he doesn't float in this world forever," Shadower mentioned. "That would be a bad thing."
"Uh… Hello? You guys? We have more ways to go, you know!" Tamber pointed to the door ahead. "We gotta get going! We can't stay here forever!"
"Yeah, you're right. We gotta get a move on!" Chopper rushed over to the door and grabbed a hold of the knob. "Come on guys! Let's go!"
When he opened the door, everyone immediately rushed into the area ahead.
And that's the end of Lord Crump! ...Yeah, expect to see more battles here. Thankfully, there won't be like seven in a chapter.
