When they walked out of the door, they noticed that there were stairs leading down to a new area, leaving many of them in shock.
"Hey... The way to where we fought Metal Chopper is gone." Chopper noticed. "I guess we're going down from here."
"And we're definitely getting deeper into this place as well," Scrub added.
"We don't have much time either," Flyer mentioned. "Things might be looking bad back out there."
"Flyer's right. We gotta keep moving!" Chopper made his way down the steps, noticing a staircase at the bottom that led to a large block. Near the staircase was a small, purple block with an arrow pointing up. "Oh, great... I think I remember this block..."
"I suppose you'll need me to figure this out, right?" Sonic asked. Chopper gave him a nod and kicked him while in a ball. He remained in his ball form until everyone got on the larger block.
"All right, Sonic… Let it rip!" Chopper shouted. Sonic hit the block, resulting in the block moving up to a doorway that led into a room filled with black bombs with a green core that would do damage if they were touched.
"Well... This is new." Bombette said.
"Careful where you step," Berry warned. "We don't want to be caught in an explosion."
"I'll try not to touch it. I think I can slip under them." Chopper let himself fall flat on the ground as he inched his way up to the stairway to the right. There was a blue ! Switch at the top of the stairs.
"If you touch those bombs, you'll lose about 20 HP, you know, Chopper…" Flyer warned.
"Don't tell him that!" Tamber shouted. "Now he's going to be all scared!"
"This is surprising..." Vivian trailed. "I didn't think you'd warn him about that."
"Is there something up with you?" Berry asked.
"What? No way! I'm just making sure that..." Tamber stopped, seeing that they didn't give him very convincing looks. Giving up, he sighed. "Fine... I'm going to admit it. That gumball isn't as bad as I've been saying. Heck, I don't think you guys are too bad either. I'm just a big, heartless jerk that's just not...cool."
"Wait, so you've been pretending to be like that to us?" Shadower gawked.
"I don't know about that. I was just trying to act like that so you guys wouldn't think I was an idiot."
"You really think we would shun you if you were stupid? We're surprised you didn't leave us, because you could've done it whenever you wanted. ...But, I suppose this does prove something."
"What?"
"That you had a soft spot this whole time."
"What? No way! I ain't soft! I'm as hard as a rock!" Tamber retorted. "I just... Err... I just think you guys are cool. ...Don't tell the gumball I said that."
"All right, I got it!" Chopper exclaimed, interrupting the conversation. Everyone looked over at him, who had hit the blue ! Switch, creating a chest right by them through black smoke.
Vivian opened the chest to find a Subspace Key. "OK, Chopper… We found the key. What do we do with it now?"
"Hold on, I'm coming back," Chopper slid under the bombs and made his way back to the group. "I suppose we need to unlock a door with that. I remember seeing a door in that other room."
They made their way back to the other room, but they couldn't use the large block to go down. They jumped down themselves, and then they hit the small block to make the large one fall back down. Now that the block was in position, they jumped on it and looked over at the door across from them over a gap. With Scrub's help, though, Chopper was able to cross the gap to the locked door.
"Toss me the key, Vivian," Chopper called out.
Vivian nodded and tossed the key to Chopper, who caught it and unlocked the door to a larger area shaped like a circle, with a cliff to the north. They could see the dark lightning was getting closer than before. There were also three ! Switchs in the center of the area as well.
"Hmmmmmm…" Sonic took a look at the blocks. "Looks like we gotta hit 'em in a specific order if we're gonna move on ahead, Chopper."
"Yeah, you're gonna have to do that, but we won't let you," Two Darksprine Troopers with rifles came floating down with their jetpacks. "You see, this is where you start to get closer to your destination. And by this point, it's where it'll be more dangerous as well!"
"Well, we might as well do what we did to the others," Chopper decided, and he threw two light balls at the Darksprine's jetpacks. "That should do it!"
The Darksprine fired at the light ball, but it didn't do much. Both of their jetpacks malfunctioned, causing them to fly all over the place.
"AAGGHHH! WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN?!"
Once they were gone, Chopper looked around this area for clues. Vivian, once again, pulled Chopper into the shadows for any order. Suddenly, the blocks glowed in the following order: right, left, and then the middle.
"All right, hit it in this order: right, left and then middle," Flyer informed once they emerged.
"Thanks, Flyer!" Chopper hit the blocks in the specific order, resulting in a new road being created over to the right part of the circular floor. It was a long road that would lead to another part of Dark Subspace World.
"Oh, sweet! Now we can reach another area with this! I'll meet you there!" Sonic made a dash toward the road, running on ahead.
"All right, I'm following Sonic," Chopper made a dash through the road as well, hoping to get there quickly. Everyone else sighed, and they began to follow them as fast as they could move.
Next area-
When they had reached the end of the road, they noticed the ground around here was more blackish with blue, shiny veins in it. Up ahead was another door.
"Let's check and see what we got through there," Chopper suggested, making his way over to the next area. He noticed that they were led into an area with a cliff up ahead. Surprisingly, there was a floating dark star above it. "A dark star? I wonder what's up with that?"
"How about you use that Star Rod on that thing, Contadre?" Scrub suggested.
"Hmmmm... I was just thinking of that." Chopper agreed, taking out the Star Rod. He looked over at the dark star and swung the rod, making a yellow star hit it. When it blew up, paper had peeled off, revealing dark rubble blocking a door.
"Great... So much for going ahead." Tamber groaned.
"Looks like you'll need to use your curse," Vivian stated, noticing a paper panel.
"I guess so," Chopper said, stepping on the paper panel. He used his awesome curse ability to tear the rubble out of the way, revealing the door. When they entered the door, they found a paper airplane panel beside them. To the other side, there was a locked door, and there was also a lone, floating platform that had a doorway.
"Well, we ought to go over there first," Tamber suggested, using his gliding ability to glide down over to the doorway. Chopper, on the other hand, transformed into a paper airplane and flew down there with the others. When they landed, the group entered the doorway into a large, circular area with a cliff at the end of the wall. There were a couple of statues of Darklings and Darksprine Troopers around as well.
"This should be easy!" Chopper smiled, pulling his hammer out and smashing at one of the statues. Unfortunately, nothing happened. "Crud! I was hoping I would be able to smash this thing!"
"Allow me," Bombette volunteered, exploding in front of them. Even then, nothing happened. "Dang it. That didn't work."
"Then I'll smash the statues," Tamber declared, pointing at himself."
"Go for it," Chopper nodded, stepping out of the way.
"All right! Then I shall…" Tamber turned to the statues and pulled the Star Diamond out. "I'm going to make this a little easier and smash ALL of them with the power of the Star Diamond!"
Once he touched the Star Diamond, he began to feel a large amount of energy go into him. He unleashed his Star Diamond Fist on all of the statues, destroying them. The Darksprine Trooper statue near the center happened to have a key inside. Tamber gabbed the key inside and tossed it to Chopper, who proceeded to catch it. They then went back to the other area and back to the paper airplane panel, where the group began to soar over to the locked door with Chopper's paper airplane ability. This led them all to an area with a grinding rail leading onward. There was also a Save Block and Heart Block, which Chopper proceeded to it.
"All right, let's move on," Chopper declared, hitching a ride on the grind rail. It didn't take long for them to reach the end, and when they did, they landed in an area with a cliff off at the distance, along with more dark lightning flashing in the background.
"Even in the most evil places, there's always a neat view," Sonic commented, looking up at the sky.
Chopper was ready to proceed onward, but the sound of a cold, old voice had put him to a halt.
"Mmmmwee hee hee hee! So, you made it here at long last, Chopper…"
At that moment, the heroes saw Beldam and Marilyn rise from the shadows. A Swooper had also flown over to them, soon being surrounded in a puff of smoke and turning into Doopliss.
"Oh, great... It's you guys..." Chopper sighed.
"Yes, it is us," Beldam grinned. "We have to thank you for all your hard work! Oh, yes! Thanks to you using the Crystal Stars to open this world, our plan is nearly complete!"
"S-Sis?! What do you mean?" Vivian gaped.
"Ah, foolish Vivian… You were always one to not understand my plans thoroughly. You still don't see it? After our encounters with you, we decided to let you do all of the dirty work for us! We had a feeling you would be able to successfully collect them all, Chopper…"
"Yeah, and now you're all doomed!" Doopliss spat.
"Quiet down, freak-in-a-sheet!" Beldam silenced, leaving Doopliss quiet. "I'm not done yet!"
"Look, we don't have time to deal with you and your old face," Chopper said, opened his hand at the trio, conjuring up some light energy. "If you don't get out of the way, you're going to be in a world of hurt!"
"Yeah, that's the way to tell them!" Sonic encouraged.
"Now, I did say that our plan would be nearly complete..." Beldam trailed. "The only thing in our way is you impudent brats! Then, the universe shall finally be in our grasps!"
"Universe? Do you really want to do such a thing, Beldam?" Vivian questioned. "I mean, think about it! All worlds have a meaning, and all you care about is claiming it for yourself? This isn't something I'd expect from you..."
"Silence, you little ditz! I've never been like that at all! I was always my cold-hearted self ever since the Shadow Queen was destroyed by you, Mario!" Beldam growled, turning to Mario with narrowed eyes. "I just had to wait for the right moment to get back into action and get what I need to complete our goals!"
"I can't believe it. All this time I thought you were being nice to me these past five months." Vivian frowned. "It almost feels like my whole life was a complete lie. Why do you treat me like this, Beldam?"
"Bleh! I couldn't care less about you, Vivian! If I ever had the chance to get rid of you, I would've done it! And thankfully, now is the perfect opportunity to do so!"
"Not when we're here to stop you!" Chopper declared, getting a fighting stance. "You should be ashamed of yourself for being such a jerk to Vivian!"
Though Vivian was usually one to back down to her sister, she remained confident in got in a battle stance. "Well, if you want to destroy me, then I'm not going to make it easy! I have people here who encourage me and are kind. I don't think you've ever had as much friends as I did!"
"Bleh! Enough of this nonsense! I had enough of your bickering, Vivian!" Beldam growled. "Once I finally defeat you, expect one of the fiercest punishments you'll ever receive before I put you out of your misery! Let's go, my sort-of-lovelies! Marilyn! Freak-sheet!"
"Guhhhh!" Marilyn grunted.
"Oh, come on! Do I REALLY have to say it again?!" Doopliss grumbled. "My. Name. Is. DOOPLISS!"
Chopper glared at Beldam angrily with his fist clenched. "We're going to make you pay for making us fall into a trap!"
"That's what I intended to do, Chopper!" Beldam cackled. "Now then… Let's get started, shall we, my sort-of-lovelies? This time we'll finish Chopper and his friends for good! Slack off, and you're going to receive a big punishment!"
"GUHHHH!" grunted Marilyn.
"Yeah, yeah… I know the whole drill…" Doopliss groaned.
Tattle: That's Beldam. She's the mean, nasty witch that you all know and hate. Max HP is 520, Attack is 20, and Defense is 0. As usual, she'll use her ice magic to freeze you and your partner. I would try my best to watch out when she uses one of her other magic attacks. She could possibly freeze one of your partners in time, allow herself extra turns, and even mind control your friends into attacking you! That's scary! Watch out when she tries to shrink you or make one of her allies stronger. That's something to watch out for as well. Even still, I think she's a nasty old hag! I mean, lying to poor Vivian the whole time? That's terrible!
Tattle: That's Marilyn. She's Beldam's younger sister who is silent, but deadly… Max HP is 530, Attack is 22, and Defense is 0. Remember, Chopper… Her Attack is the strongest out of the three, so you might wanna take her out first. May I need to warn you that she can raise her Attack twice as well? If she does that and uses an attack, that's 66 HP you're gonna lose! Other than that, there's not much else to her. I wonder why she rarely speaks. Is it because she doesn't want Beldam to blame things on her? That's a theory…
Tattle: That's Doopliss. He's the weird Duplighost that can shape-shift into anything he wants. He even transformed into you before, if I could recall… Max HP is 530, Attack is 21, and Defense is 0. Doopliss is just the same old stuff. He doesn't have that much in him except his shape-shifting abilities. Personally, I would save him for last. I'm still questioning why he's even with Beldam. He sometimes gets punished for no reason… Well, hopefully things are not too bad with him when dealing with her.
"If we're gonna make this fight easier, we need to take Marilyn out first. And fast." Chopper started by using his Spring Jump on Marilyn, dealing 20 damage to her. Vivian, on the other hand, was more focused on Beldam. However, she knew that taking Marilyn out was smart as well. She opened her hands and thrust them forward, summoning her Fire Wall that managed to hurt all three opponents.
"Wha…? How did you learn something like that?" Beldam gaped, getting caught in the wall of fire.
"It's my Fire Wall ability. It allows me to hit anything in sight with a large fire wall." Vivian explained. "I bet I couldn't have learned that when I was with you."
"Grrrrr! No matter… Even if you still have that ability, you're still no match for us!" Beldam used her ice magic to create a small blizzard that Chopper and Vivian guarded. Marilyn clasped her hands together at Chopper, while Doopliss tried to attack him, but failed horribly when his attack was Superguarded.
"Gah! I can't even attack him while the others got their chance!" Doopliss pouted.
"Sorry, Doopliss…" Chopper pulled his hammer out and struck the three with his Master Hammer ability. "This feels just like fighting them back in Toy Kingdom – without Doopliss, that is…"
"I agree," Vivian replied after using her Fiery Jinx on all three of them again.
"All right, let's see what I can get from this…" Doopliss's eyes began to glow as he began to scan Chopper. When he rose up from the shadows, he was an exact replica of him. "Yuk yuk yuk! Now I'm gonna show you some power!"
"Heads up, Gumball, this guy just copied you," Tamber warned.
Doopliss changed to Chopper's Magic ability and managed to strike both Chopper and Vivian with lightning, taking 21 out of them both.
"Guh!" Marilyn grunted as she cast her lightning spell down on everyone. To her dismay, it was Superguarded, leaving her to frown.
"Arrgghhh! How could you miss?! No matter…" Beldam used her magic to make herself bigger, raising her Attack up by 2. "Mmmmwee hee hee hee! Now my attacks will be much stronger!"
"You wish!" Chopper struck them all with his Master Gloves, dealing 16 to them all. Kirby, meanwhile, had chosen to inhale Marilyn and spit her at Beldam to do 10 to them both.
"Poyo! (That should help hurt them both!)" Kirby smirked.
"I'll take care of you, Slick!" Doopliss walked over to Chopper and tossed a fireball at him. Chopper, on the other hand, guarded it to prevent himself from getting burned. After that, Marilyn sank into the shadows and rose in front of Kirby. She tried to strike him by clasping her hands together, and he was able to guard her attack.
After avoiding Beldam's Blizzard, Chopper decided to put his Moon Star to use, and he had gotten on it and watched it spin rapidly. It had hit them all and dealt 24 damage.
"And then comes the explosion!" Bombette rushed straight at them with her Explosion, taking 14 out of all of them, and bringing Bedlam down to 417 HP, Marilyn down to 406, and Doopliss at 424.
"Bleh! Your light attacks are painful, I'll admit… But it won't stop us from giving up so easily!" Beldam spat, quickly bringing her attention to her comrades. "Listen here, my sort-of-lovelies! We need a plan! Marilyn! You go handle that brown furry one! Freak-sheet! I want you to take care of Chopper for me! While you do that, I'll take care of Vivian personally!"
"Yuk yuk! Now I'm gonna have a score to settle with Chopper!" Doopliss turned to Chopper, and he removed his Magic ability before he inhaled him and spat him at Kirby. Marilyn had made her attack on Tamber, while Beldam struck Vivian.
"Poyo! (All right, now I'm mad!)" Kirby pulled his Final Cutter out and used it to hit all three enemies. Chopper helped Kirby out by using his Master Glove attack to take 16 out of them all.
While Doopliss stomped on Kirby, Marilyn sank into the shadows and attacked Tamber successfully. Beldam did the same thing again and attacked Vivian with an icy punch, but she was not able to freeze her.
Chopper smiled and performed a Gravity Jump on Marilyn, taking 30 out of her in the process. Vivian's Fire Wall attack also left another burn on everyone. She ended up getting hit by Beldam's icy fists, but it didn't do much harm to her when she guarded.
Marilyn decided to strike lightning on the group to do some decent damage to the others. After Chopper guarded Doopliss's hammer, Mario had struck Marilyn with a Super Jump, and Chopper attacked her with a Spin Jump. This had reduced her to 308 HP. Bedlam, meanwhile, was at 376 HP, and Doopliss was at 382.
"All right... This isn't going too badly..." Chopper panted. When Doopliss tried to jump on him, he quickly Superguarded it, and then Marilyn raised her Attack by 22, leaving them all to gape.
"Oh, crud… Now we're in some deep yogurt!" Scrub gulped.
"Mmmmwee hee hee hee! Excellent! Just raise your attack again and we'll have this fight in the bag!" Beldam cackled, hitting everyone with her Blizzard.
"I'm gonna use a Black Hole on them. We'll see how they like being hit by a Crystal Star!" Chopper smiled, bringing the Dark Star out, and it sucked all three of them into a black hole. When it spat them out, they all took 65 damage.
"Time for me to go up!" Tamber chuckled as he punched the ground, causing it to shake and deal 12 damage to the three. Doopliss and Beldam had attacked the group, while Marilyn raised her Attack by 22 again.
"I'm gonna have to heal…" Chopper pulled a Maximum Recovery out and ate it, recovering all of his HP and FP. Vivian quickly pulled them into the shadows so that Doopliss's attacks would miss, and so would Marilyn's powerful lightning attack.
"Grrrrrr! How could you two miss your attacks like that?!" Beldam growled, missing her attack as well. When the heroes rose up from the shadows, the trio took action, attacking their intended targets.
"Man… I think I might have to get out of this." Doopliss got out of Chopper's form and decided to transform into Vivian. "Hey, now it's like you're fighting all three of us now!"
"All right… Now let's try an Art Attack." Chopper pulled out the Ruby Star and managed to draw a circle around them twelve times successfully, doing 3 damage each time.
"Well, we're certainly making progress," Vivian said before she struck all three of them with her Fiery Jinx, bringing Beldam down to 251 HP, Marilyn down to 183, and Doopliss at 256.
"You may have gotten us this far, but you're certainly not going to win this…" Beldam growled.
With that, Beldam used her Blizzard in attempt to freeze her, which failed. Doopliss, now with Vivian's abilities, sank into the shadows and clasped his hands together on Chopper. However, that didn't seem to do much to help him. Marilyn had summoned lightning to strike the group as well.
"Aw, crud! This isn't doing much!" Doopliss pouted and he transformed into Tamber instead. "I think this'll work a lot better."
Bombette then quickly took action, using her Explosion to deal 14 to all three of them. Chopper struck Marilyn with his Power Bounce next. After fifteen bounces, he jumped off of her and performed a stylish move, getting some Star Power back. Doopliss then attacked Flyer with a Combo Punch, while Marilyn had summoned more lightning to hurt them. Beldam's Blizzard was easily guarded.
"This should help us," Chopper said, using another Gravity Jump to drain Marilyn's HP by 30. Vivian followed up with her Fire Wall, bringing Marilyn down to 100 HP, while Beldam's was at 223, and Doopliss at 228. "I guess I can use a Planet Tide next, since I got the Star Power for it…"
"Marilyn? Are you OK?" Beldam asked, noticing Marilyn getting exhausted.
"Gunhh-hunnhhh..." Marilyn moaned.
"Let's try out one of this freak's stronger moves," Doopliss decided, running up to Chopper and striking him with a Power Punch. While Tamber complained about him copying his move, Marilyn appeared before him and clasped her hands on him. Beldam used her magic to adjust Marilyn's size so she was bigger and stronger.
"This should help you out, my dear sister," Beldam declared, glaring at Vivian. "See, Vivian... Why couldn't you be like your sister and be loyal you me? Sure, you were meant to use these fools to help us rule the world, but you even abandoned that when you destroyed our kind!"
"It's because my friends have given me a better life, unlike you and my so-called king!" Vivian spoke back.
"Yeah, and she's going to help bring you down!" Chopper exclaimed, holding the Clara Star up. That was when the area began to move all over the place, specifically with the Shadow Sirens and Doopliss. They had lost 58 HP in the end, and with Vivian's Fire Wall, Beldam was at 152 HP, Marilyn was down to 28, and Doopliss was at 158. Beldam growled in annoyance, punching Vivian with an icy fist. Chopper had guarded Doopliss's Power Punch, and then Marilyn attacked Tamber with another clap.
Wasting no time, Chopper performed a Spring Jump, and he took 20 out of Marilyn. With one Quake from Tamber, Marilyn's HP went down to 0.
"GUUUUUUUUHHHHHHH!" Marilyn cried, collapsing and dropping some of Star Points.
"Grrrrr! How could this be? The strongest of the Shadow Sirens has been defeated?! Impossible!" Beldam gaped, bringing her angry look to Doopliss. "Freak-sheet! I'm counting on you! If you screw this up, I swear your punishment will be bigger than before!"
"Ack! Fine! Just calm down!" Doopliss took a deep breath as he transformed into Chopper. He quickly stomped on him, only to get Superguarded. Beldam grumbled, and she used her Blizzard to attack next.
"Well, now it's just you two. This shouldn't be too hard." Chopper used a Power Bounce on Beldam fifteen times, which was then followed up with Vivian's Fire Wall.
"I think you should give up, Sis," Vivian suggested. "You're already losing this fight. I don't like to be violent, but if I have to go to these measures, then I don't have much of a choice."
"Mmmmwee hee hee! Oh, that won't be likely, my dear!" Using her magic, Beldam made sure that Vivian wouldn't make as many attacks as before. After that, Doopliss pulled his hammer out and slammed it down on Flyer.
"Man, I think this body really suits me!" Doopliss smiled. "Maybe when I get a Crystal Star, I'll steal your name and body!"
"No way!" Chopper cried, using his Master Hammer attack to strike both Doopliss and Beldam. Flyer followed up with his Hurricane, which Chopper got on and began to use its machine guns. He managed to take 14 out of Doopliss and 16 out of Beldam with it.
"It feels nice using the Hurricane again!" Flyer smiled.
"You're going to regret that!" Beldam sank into the shadows and struck Flyer with an icy fist. "Now, freak-sheet… Make sure you use a USEFUL attack on them and not a crummy one!"
"All right! Sheesh!" Doopliss tossed a light ball at Chopper, who managed to guard it. He used his Master Glove attack on the two to take 16 out of them, which was followed up by Scrub's Stampede. Beldam was down to 56 HP at this point, and Doopliss was at 78.
"Hackptthh!" wheezed Beldam. "This… This isn't over yet…"
She used her magic to make Doopliss's attack stronger. Afterward, Doopliss tried to stomp on Chopper, but he Superguarded successfully.
"You're really easy to Superguard, you know…" Chopper stated before using a Gravity Jump on Beldam. Shadower also took 10 out of them both with his Shadow Smite. Chopper managed to block Beldam's and Doopliss's attack. After that, he had landed a Jump on Beldam, bringing her to 5 HP.
With that one move, Vivian had sank into the shadows and emerged in front of Beldam without asking.
"Urgh... You..." Beldam hissed.
"You know, when I think about it more, I think I've discovered something important," Vivian started, her fists surrounded in flames. "You've always done what our king and queen said, and you always followed orders. You also kept blaming everything on me to make myself feel horrible. But now, I think I know the real reason for all of that. You're scared, Sis. You're afraid of what the king and queen would've done to you if you had not listened. As for me? You know how much potential I had, and the only way to bring that kind of power down was to constantly belittle me so I would be weak and helpless. But even then, I was the only one to leave you guys and join Chopper and his friends. They had made me feel more confident, and now look what's happening here. If anything, this is all thanks to you. So thank you for constantly punishing me, Beldam. It not only helped me find friends, but it also led to your defeat by my hands!"
The heroes were left surprised by her huge speech, with Chopper slowly clapping, the others unable to do so due to being too shocked.
Beldam was left speechless, unable to respond to her monologue. Vivian didn't bother letting her speak, as she quickly threw her flaming punch at Beldam, causing her to clutch her stomach in pain.
"Argh... You'll...pay for this..." Beldam groaned, collapsing onto the floor. "Now it's up…to you…"
Doopliss looked down at the defeated Shadow Sirens and back at a more confident Vivian. He wasn't sure whether to feel nervous or not. Eventually he gained a confident look and glared at the heroes.
"Whoa… I guess it's up to me to finish this." Doopliss said, turning to the group. "Yeah… I can do this! Get ready, Slick, 'cause I'm gonna take you down!"
"But... You have 66 HP." Chopper stated.
"What? Oh, crud… Well, I can certainly deal some damage to you, Slick!" Doopliss changed to his Star Rod ability and hurled a yellow star from the weapon at Chopper, taking 21 out of him.
"Well, I guess we can take care of him easily," Chopper sighed, using a Spring Jump to take 20 out of him, while Berry slammed her hammer on him for 10. After that, Doopliss decided to use his Multibounce attack, stomping on both Chopper and Berry.
"Yuk yuk yuk! Now I can deal damage to two people at once!" Doopliss chuckled.
"Yeah, but it won't last for long," Chopper declared, hitting him with his hammer. Once Shadower used his Shadow Punch on him, he was already down to 15 HP.
Despite this, Doopliss was still confident and went at Chopper with a Rainbow Spin. Unfortunately, that was not meant to be when his attack was Superguarded by Chopper, who delivered a Rainbow Spin himself. Vivian had struck him with a Shade Fist, and after Chopper jumped on him, Doopliss started to feel dazed until he collapsed, transforming back into himself.
"Ooooooooooooog… Not again!" Doopliss moaned, dropping enough Star Points for Chopper to level up.
"Arrrrrrrgh… We can't fail him just yet…" Beldam moaned, still conscious. "He will be… Oooooof…"
"Guhhhhhhhhhh…" Marilyn moaned.
"Hnnnuuurrrggh…" Doopliss moaned.
At that point, all three of then fell out of conscience.
"It's best to leave them be..." Vivian suggested. "We can't do much about it."
"Hmmmmm… Who was Beldam just talking about?" Chopper wondered.
"I'm not so sure... But right now, let's not ask those kind of questions." Shadower floated over to the door ahead. "Come on! Now's not the time to dillydally!"
"You're right, Shadower," Chopper approached the door ahead, and when the others followed, they had entered the door. Vivian was the last to go in, but she had stopped and turned to the unconscious trio.
"Sis... Maybe someday you'll truly give up your evil ways..." Vivian trailed. "If you do that, I'm willing to forgive you..."
Turning away, she entered the door ahead.
Next area-
The first thing that the group had noticed was that there was a large, purple wall blocking the way, and there were no signs of any doorway. The only thing, however, was a small opening near them.
"I bet you need that tube form of yours, Contadre!" Scrub suggested, eyeing said spot. "Maybe it'll help us go on!"
"I might as well do it," Chopper nodded, turning sideways and then rolling into a tube. He rolled through the opening and into the maze, which he couldn't unroll due to there not being enough space.
"Can you unroll or something?" Berry called out.
"Nope! I gotta roll my way through this stupid maze!" Chopper replied, taking a left through the maze. He unfortunately came across a dead end, so he was forced to take the other way. It was a large maze, so he was finding himself in many dead ends, to his dismay. "Crud... I don't like this maze."
"I think this is going to take a while for him to finish," Flyer whispered.
Eventually Chopper had reached the end after a while, and when he rolled out of that small entrance, he found a door up ahead and unrolled himself. He didn't bother panting when he saw the blue ! Switch, so with a kick, a black pipe appeared for the others to reach him.
"Good thing that that switch was there, or else we wouldn't have made it over here," Tamber sighed. "Good work, Gumball."
"Well, don't get your hopes up too soon, Tamber… We've got long ways to go." Chopper warned, opening the door to the next area. He noticed a high ledge up ahead, but looking down, there was a floor below. In fact, there was a small staircase coming back where they were standing. Below was a red ! Switch, which gave Flyer an idea.
"Perhaps we could throw Bombette at that switch," Flyer suggested.
Bombette decided not to object, and she let Chopper throw her to the switch below. When she exploded, a yellow platform appeared, and everyone jumped on it, creating more platforms that got them to the ledge. Bombette had to jump up the stairs and onto the platforms to reach them, barely making it. With that, they progressed onward.
In the next area, they found a little hole up on the ceiling above, but a Dark Block was blocking the spring. There was also a Save Block here as well. Chopper hit it to save his game, and then he smashed the Dark Block with his Master Hammer technique, revealing the spring.
"OK, time to go up!" Chopper made his way up with the spring, making it to a door nearby. Upon entering it, he found a familiar area, having a large cliff nearby, along with lightning striking in the background. "Wait a second... What's up with this?"
"This room looks a lot similar," Shadower realized.
"Weren't we already here?" Scrub asked.
"Well well well! Looks like you finally showed up, Chopper!"
Bringing their attention ahead, Mysterious and Purple had risen from the shadows, the former giving them a malicious grin.
"Oh, great... Not you again." Chopper groaned, only to notice something. "Wait... There's only two of you!"
That was when Tipral had teleported in the vicinity, making Chopper frown.
"So, we meet again, Chopper…" Tipral said coldly.
"All right, don't tell me…" Chopper started. "You're going to thank me for opening this world, right?"
"I have to say, we thank you for-" Mysterious paused for a moment. "Wait... You already know?"
"Tell that to the others I fought."
"Oh... Great... Well, anyway, what you did for us was SPECTACULAR! We should also thank you for helping us bring the Shadow King back before! All of your hard work ended up helping us as well! That's why we didn't do much after we fought you in those woods!"
"Then why'd Tipral keep fighting us?" Chopper asked.
"It's because I don't let those who beat me get away so easily," Tipral hissed.
"Look, maybe we should probably just step aside and move on," Shadower suggested. "We don't time to deal with the likes of you, Bro."
"Ah, Shadower… My younger brother… But the reason why we're here is to slow you down!" Mysterious smirked. "Also, despite what you did for us, we still consider you a big threat."
"Oh, so that's how it is..." Shadower growled. "Then I guess we have no other choice but to take you on! Besides, getting the chance to give you what you deserve is something I'd gladly do!"
"Well, looks like we have to fight you guys," Chopper grumbled, getting in a fighting stance. "We beat the Shadow Sirens, so you freaks won't be anything different!"
"Ah, good! This is just what I wanted in response!" Mysterious cackled. "Now then, Purple and shadow-freak… Let's get them!"
Purple: …
"Enough with the 'shadow-freak' already," Tipral grumbled.
"All right! Another fight! This'll be fun!" Sonic grinned, the group getting ready to fight.
"All right, I'm going to make this clear: if any of you mess up majorly, I'm going to SEVERELY punish you!" Mysterious announced, paying more attention to Tipral. "You read me loud and clear, boys?"
Purple: …
"Yes, I can hear you…" Tipral replied angrily.
Tattle: That's Mysterious. He's the leader of the Shadow Brothers and shadow being you hate so much. Max HP is 520, Attack is 20, and Defense is 0. He'll use his water magic on you for the most part, but he might even throw some other magic that can upgrade or downgrade either you or his own allies. Personally, I think he should be your second target. As much as I would like to take him out first, he's not the biggest threat of them all…
Tattle: That's Purple. He's the strong, silent type, I guess. Max HP is 530, Attack is 22, and Defense is 0. Usually he'll try to attack you with his fists, or he might just try to use his earth magic. Watch out when he raises his Attack. Just like Marilyn, he can do it twice. If I were you, I'd try to take him our first and worry about the other two later. Trust me, it'll be a great help.
Tattle: That's Tipral. He's that evil, dark version of yourself! He's the one that stole your name and body back at Twilight Town! Max HP is 530, Attack is 21, and Defense is 0. He'll try throwing Star Spears or even Star Magic at you. If he wanted to, he might even toss a shadow ball at you! That's almost like your light powers, you know… Despite him being all evil and stuff, he's probably the least threatening of the three. ...Well, that is until you take the other two out first.
"All right, we're gonna need to do what we did before…" Chopper started off by using his Power Bounce on Purple, stomping on him fifteen times. Shadower used his Shadow Blast afterwards to deal 12 damage to all three of them.
"Hmph! Let's see how you like this!" Tipral swung his arm, throwing a Star Spear at Chopper without having to move his feet. Purple made his attack on Mario, slamming his fists down on him. Mysterious, on the other hand, used his water magic to send a tidal wave at everyone, taking 21 out of them.
"Whew… That was a bit extreme…" Chopper groaned before he used his Master Glove attack on all three enemies. Tipral's eyes widened in surprise as he was struck by the light attack.
"Light?! How… How did you get that?" Tipral exclaimed.
"I got it from some guy who wanted a rematch against me!" Chopper smirked as Shadower used another Shadow Blast on all three of them. They were all able to Superguard Tipral's Star Spear, Purple's Earthquake and Mysterious's Tidal Wave, resulting in them taking no damage at all.
"Grrrr! That should've done something!" Mysterious grumbled.
"Too bad for you!" Scrub scoffed.
Chopper used his Master Gloves on all three of them again. Bombette followed up with an Explosion, taking 14 out of all three of them. But, she was the one to get hit by Purple's fists.
Tipral and Mysterious made their attacks next, striking Chopper and Shadower with their attacks. However, Chopper fought back by using his Master Glove attack again. He knew if he kept using this, it would take them all out quickly. Shadower struck all three of them with his Shadow Blast next, taking another 12 out of them.
"Perhaps I should start using my shape-shifting abilities…" Tipral mumbled, suddenly transforming into Chopper and stomping on him. Purple tried to attack Chopper, but he ended up missing, while Mysterious shot water energy at Shadower.
"Maybe I will make a grave for you when I'm finished with you, Shadower," Mysterious suggested. "Of course, don't assume it will be a nice one!"
Chopper took out the Ruby Star and began to perform the Art Attack on all three of them. He had managed to draw twelve circles and deal 36 damage to them. Bombette followed up with another Explosion.
"How do you like THAT?!" Bombette scoffed.
Tipral decided he would test out some of Chopper's other attacks, so he ran up to him and struck Chopper in the face with a Rainbow Spin.
"This isn't too bad, but I don't think it's good enough," Tipral scoffed.
"Well at least I'm better at it," Chopper growled.
"That's true... And I'm probably better with water than you!" Mysterious cackled as he summoned another Tidal Wave at Chopper and his friends. They were able to Superguard this, but they had to be careful when Purple struck everyone with an Earthquake.
"Whoa… All right, we gotta be on guard here." Chopper quickly shook his head and brought the Forest Star out. "It's time for a Super Power Lift!"
He let it fly up, and then he started to hit some orange and blue up arrows. In the end, his Attack and Defense went up by 7.
"Oh, yeah! That is pretty awesome!" Tamber grinned as he prepared to charge his Star Diamond Fist.
"Grrrrrr! Shadow-freak! Try to pull yourself together here! You too, Purple!" Mysterious shouted.
"Hmph!" Tipral grunted as he pulled his hammer out and slammed it on Chopper, taking 14 out of him. Purple rose his Attack up by 22, which was incredibly dangerous.
"With Purple's Attack raised up twice, we should be at an advantage!" Mysterious grinned as he made Purple bigger with his spell.
"Whoa… We gotta act fast!" Chopper attempted to Power Bounce Purple, bouncing on him sixteen times while performing Stylish moves. Tamber had finally unleashed his Star Diamond Fist, which was able to deal 34 damage to all three of them.
Tipral decided to weaken Vivian a little bit by stomping on her. Purple, once again, raised his Attack by 22 again, while Mysterious used a spell to prevent Shadower from attacking each turn.
"Aw, man! Now I can't make as many turns!" Shadower groaned.
"Not a huge problem. We'll take Purple out first. Let's see if I can attempt twenty Power Bounces…" Chopper managed to stomp on Purple twenty times with another Power Bounce, bringing him to 168 HP. "Aw, man! Not enough!"
"Well, then we'll pray we'll live," Bombette used another Explosion on the three, taking 21 out of them, bringing Mysterious to 317 HP. When Purple used his Earthquake, they were all lucky to Superguard it.
"WHAT?! How did it miss?!" Mysterious growled. He attacked both Chopper and Tamber with his Tidal Wave, while Tipral changed back into himself and crossed his arms.
"I was expecting them to avoid that," Tipral opened his eyes and snapped his finger, making Chopper get struck by Star Magic. "I don't need your abilities to help me win this.
"Well I don't need yours either!" Chopper retorted, stomping on Purple twenty times again with another powerful Power Bounce. Shadower brought Purple down to 42 HP with a Shadow Blast.
Purple began to pant as he slammed his fists down on Chopper, while Tipral hurled a shadow ball at Chopper, and Mysterious used water magic on Shadower.
"OK, since our Super Power Lift is gone, I'll just end this for Purple," Chopper pulled the Dark Star out, and with a Black Hole, Purple had come out with 0 HP.
Purple: ...
With that, Purple collapsed, and Shadower struck both Tipral and Mysterious with a Shadow Blast.
"AAAAARRRGGGHHHHH!" Mysterious clenched his fists in anger. "How could this happen to him?! You, Chopper… You're going to pay for this!"
Both Mysterious and Tipral made their attacks on him, while Chopper decided to eat a Maximum Recover to recover all of his HP and FP. Kirby had used his Squishiness on Chopper to make him more dodgy.
"Do your worst, shadow freak!" Chopper challenged.
"Hey! Only I may use that name!" Mysterious growled, punching Chopper with a watery fist, while Tipral punched Chopper with a Star Punch. "You'll be going after I'm through with Shadower!"
"I've used that name countless time, for your information," Chopper stomped on Mysterious with a Power Bounce, stomping on him fifteen times. Shadower followed up with another Shadow Blast afterward.
"I'm better off raising my own attack," Mysterious declared, using magic to make himself bigger. Tipral swiftly snapped his finger to strike Vivian with Star Magic. Vivian had taken action and used her Fire Wall to take 12 out of both of them, also leaving a burn on them. Chopper used his Master Glove attack afterward, reducing Mysterious to 156 HP and Tipral to 203.
"This isn't finished yet, Chopper!" Mysterious growled, attempting to strike Chopper, only to miss. Chopper decided to use the Crystal Stars again, but this time he used the Clara Star and used Planet Tide to shift the ground around. In the end, he was able to deal 68 damage to them both. After Sonic used his Sonic Wind, both Mysterious and Tiprsl had teamed up on Shadower to deal damage. In response, Shadower struck them both with a Shadow Blast, and then Chopper used his Diamond Hammer, bringing Mysterious down to 52 HP and Tipral to 100.
"Shadow-freak! We need to win this battle! Don't screw this up now, OK?" Mysterious growled.
Tipral ignored Mysterious and tossed a Star Spear at Chopper, who managed to guard it. He frowned, while Mysterious shrunk Shadower, thus lowering his Attack.
"Enjoy being small, brother!" Shadower cackled. "Enjoy it while it lasts!"
"Whoa… Well, now I have a bigger reason to hate him…" Chopper used his Master Glove technique on him, followed up by Tamber's Quake, bringing Mysterious down to 24 HP.
"Take this!" Mysterious tried to punch Chopper, but he managed to dodge it with ease. After Tipral attacked him, he decided to inhale him and spit him at Mysterious. Kirby had performed a Final Cutter on them, leaving Mysterious at 2 HP. "No... I won't go down just yet..."
Mysterious had cast a spell on himself to become dodgy, while Tipral snapped his finger and struck Shadower with Star Magic. It was at that point that Shadower had turned back to normal size.
"Whew! I'm back to normal!" Shadower smiled, turning to Mysterious. "And I can finally put an end to this."
"Shadower... You don't really plan on destroying your own brother, do you?" Mysterious gaped. "So the Shadow King was right... You were meant to be the strongest of us all. That explains why he gave you that dark power..."
"I no longer serve the Shadow King, nor will I ever," Shadower declared. "I may have this dark power within me, but I made a vow to NEVER use the power, under any circumstance. I have no need for it. The king was foolish to give it to me, because now that power will never be unleashed. It's funny how you ended up treating me poorly because I got something you didn't, and even then, I'm still standing, ready to defeat you once and for all."
"Argh... And you plan on destroying me?"
"No. Unlike you, I'm not evil. However, leaving you like this is too dangerous, so I must finish this." Shadower fired a dark blast of energy, and both Mysterious and Tipral were hit by a Shadow Blast. With that, Mysterious collapsed in defeat.
"Uuurrgh… Shadow-freak… I'm counting on you now…" Mysterious moaned.
"Fine. I'll finish this." Tipral cracked his knuckles and he glared at Chopper. "I've got a few tricks up my sleeves…"
Once Chopper slammed his hammer on him, he left him with 26 HP. However, Tipral teleported and dove down at Chopper, taking 21 out of him.
"This feels just like before!" Chopper smirked as he hit Tipral in the face with a Rainbow Spin. Scrub fluttered over to him and used a Ground Pound on him to take another 10 out of him. At this point, he was down to 6 HP.
"Ungh... Not so soon..." Tipral growled, swinging his arm and firing a Star Spear at Chopper. He managed to guard it with ease, and he finished off his counterpart with a light ball. This caused him to fall over in defeat.
"Argh… Not so soon..." Tipral groaned in defeat.
"We… We lost?" Mysterious moaned, still left conscious. "If we don't do anything right now, there's no way he'll… Ooooooooog…"
Purple: …
"Grrrrrrgh…" Tipral moaned.
"The deed has been done," Shadower looked down at his now unconscious brother. "Hopefully you can become a better person in the future..."
"Phew... That was quite something." Sonic sighed.
Mario: We should probably keep moving.
Everyone agreed, and they made their way over to the door ahead and entered it. Once the door closed, however, Tipral slowly got up and rubbed his head in pain from the beating he took.
"Grrgh… That was a bit rough…" Tipral brushed himself and looked over to the door. "So... Everything is going according to plan. But I'm not letting them go so easily!"
He quickly teleported out of the area, leaving the two Shadow Brothers unconscious.
I guess Vivian and Shadower's speeches to their siblings were probably the crowning moments of this chapter, if you ask me. Some might say what Vivian did was a little out of character, but I call that development here.
...But, it doesn't look like everyone going against Chopper is going to give up so soon.
