With the heroes defeated, Maquano looked down at them with a satisfied appearance on his face. He had finally done it. His greatest nemesis. Defeated.
"Victory is now ours!" Maquano cackled. "These fools were so confident in defeating me that they were unaware of my true form! Well, they finally got what's coming to them."
"Of course, Lord Maquano! We KNEW that you would win!" Beldam grinned.
"Hey, wait..." Doopliss trailed, noticing that the heroes were breathing. "They're not finished yet! They're unconscious!"
"Why didn't you tell us before, freak-sheet?!"
"So they're alive? Hmmmm... Well, then I will do what I must and put an end to them." Maquano approached them and rose his arms, preparing to create another dark ball of energy. "All this time, these heroes were being led to their doom! And getting the Mayor to tell Chopper of those Crystal Stars just made it so much easier!"
As he continued to charge up his attack, a bright light had suddenly emitted from the twenty Crystal Stars. Maquano noticed his and lowered his arms, stopping his attack.
"Huh? What's going on here?!" Maquano questioned, the Crystal Stars breaking through the dark power and flying upward. "What the..."
"The Crystal Stars? What are they doing?!" Tipral exclaimed as they began to flew out of Dark Subspace World.
Fountain of Dreams-
All twenty Crystal Stars floated down to their places around the pedestal on the fountain, and a blue light began to appear on the fountain. They were shining brighter than ever as they began to fly upward again into their specific area.
Music Kingdom-
The Diamond Star made its way down to Music Kingdom, giving a source of light. This had attracted one Musical Note, which had approached it.
"Huh? What's this shiny thing?" the Musical Note asked. "Is that the thing that that kid was looking for when he came here before?"
"You know, that thing might be related to what's making the sky dark. I mean, it looks like…" one Musical Note could see Maquano cackling through the star and Chopper and his friends lying on the ground. "Whoa! It looks like that kid's in danger! What can we do?"
"I don't know... But we can't let him stay like that. We gotta give him our cheers!"
"Yeah... Let's give him our cheers."
Zip Toad had spotted the Crystal Star and noticed the Musical notes giving their cheers. "Huh? What's going on here?"
"We need to help Chopper! He's in danger!" the Musical Notes said all at once.
"What?! You mean that kid that came here before?! Oh, no! There's NO way that I'm going to let him lose!" Zip Toad ran over to the star. "Hey, kid! If you can hear me, please listen... You know how to play music like a man! I don't want you giving up, you hear me?! Stop that monster!"
Glitzville-
Jolene, Rawk Hawk, King K., and even the Iron Clefts were all around the Gold Star, seeing Chopper unconscious and Maquano looking down at him.
"I know you're fighting far away right now. For us… For all of us…" Jolene started. "This Crystal Star has told us of your last, brave stand… Maybe we can't do much to help you… But we're thinking of you. All our wishes are for you… For your victory…"
"Unh! Yeah! Yeah! Feel it! Rawk out, Great Contadre! RAAAAAAAAAAAAWK!" Rawk Hawk shouted. "Listen to me, Contadre! You've helped me realize that playing fair in a match is the way to go! Anybody who's done something to help me is not ALLOWED to lose!"
"That's right!" the Red Iron Cleft shouted. "You! Star! Tell that little shrimp that beat us to never give in!"
"FIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!" the Green Iron Cleft shouted.
"We're sendin' you all of our strength, C-Man!" King K. shouted. "You feelin' the love, my man? CONTADRE!"
The Great Tree-
"Whoa! The Crystal Star!" Punio gaped, the Emerald Star floating down to them, sparkling in all its glory.
"What in the world? What's THAT doing here?" the Puni Elder gawked. "This is very mysterious… Yes, a mystery that…"
"Snap out of it, Elder!"
Petuni jumped up a couple of times, noticing the image through the star. "Brother! Chopper's in trouble! I can see it through the star!"
"What? I... I can see… I can see it!" Punio noticed. "The Crystal Star is showing us that Chopper is trying to save the universe, but he's in trouble…"
"Chopper! Please don't give up!"
"Yeah! You can do it, Chopper!"
"Keep fighting!" many Punies continuously shouted.
Twilight Town-
"Don't you give up, Chopper!" one of the three children shouted as they looked at the Ruby Star.
"Give it to 'em!"
"Fight! Fight!"
"Yeah! Never give in!"
"Yes! Believe in yourself!"
"FIIIIIIIIGHT!"
"Chopper… You may feel like it's going rough…like the tides have shifted against you…" another villager trailed. "But if you lose, the world will be plunged into darkness forever… Please, don't give in."
"Chopper will never give up," Mayor Dour stated. "Chopper will stand true. I… I still remember how he took care of that monster who had cursed us. We must have faith in him. We must believe…that light will return to our world."
Then again, this is Twilight Town we're talking here...
Pudgy Island-
"Don't give up, Chopper!" Bambo shouted.
"You can do it!" Kooplang added.
"I must admit… That boy has done a lot of great things for the sea." Bobbery remarked, staring at the Sapphire Star. "I couldn't have done any better against that monster eel."
"Relax, amigo. That boy will never give in." Cortez stated.
"Hmmmm… I guess you may be right, old chap! We're all here for him, and that's what matters!"
"You can take on that shadow demon, Chopper!" Bambo shouted. "If you were able to take out a giant eel without letting anything stand in your way, then you can do this! Listen… I may have not believed you before, but I have faith in you now. I'm not going to laugh at you this time. You CAN do it!"
"Yes, Chopper… You have done a brave thing for not only us, but for everyone that sailed the seas!" Kooplang added. "Don't give up and save the universe from this accursed demon!"
"Yes... Chopper, my boy. Everyone here is rooting for you!" Bobbery said.
Sand Town-
"Oh, my... Something is not right..." Mayor Must T. gulped, looking through the star.
"What's going on?" the Shy Guy asked.
"Chopper... He is in grave trouble against that shadow demon. He and all of his friends are not conscious!"
"Wait... You mean they're up against a shadow demon?" the female Bandit gawked. "Whoa... That means Berry was up against it. She is awfully brave..."
"So those guys really are heroes," the Shy Guy gawked.
"I do believe we can help them, though," Must T. said, approaching the Garnet Star. "We must give them our cheers! Chopper, do not give in!"
"Show that shadow freak who's boss!" the Bandit yelled.
"FIIIIIIGHT!"
Fahr Outpost-
"We are assembled, Mayor," stated a Bob-omb, approaching the Mayor.
"Da…"
The Mayor made his way over to the cannon area, where a bunch of Bob-ombs were lined up together. The Crystal Star was hovering over them.
"Good work, my comrades," the Mayor said. "Now, let us do it. Ready and…"
"CHOPPEEEEER!"
"Blow 'em up, SHA-BOO!"
"You the BOMB! Bombbomb!
"Chopper… You can do it…" the Mayor trailed.
Rogueport-
"Hmmmmm? Now what is this?" Merlon gawked, spotting the Queen's Star in the center of Rogueport. Along with him, Goombella, Ms. Mowz, and Luigi were also there, surprised by the star. "Is this one of the Crystal Stars?"
"Yeah! It must be the Queen's Star!" Goombella answered, getting a closer look at the star. "Oh, no! Chopper is in serious trouble!"
"Oh, dear..." Ms. Mowz trailed. "This is just like when we were in trouble with the Shadow Queen. Perhaps we can give them our cheers, hmm hmm?"
"Yeah!" Luigi agreed. "Hey, Chopper! Don't give up so soon! If you were able to defeat Staris at his perfect state, then you can handle this as well!"
"Show that demon who's boss!" Goombella cheered.
"Do come back as well!"
"You've come this far, Chopper... Do not give in!" Merlon shouted.
"Never let up!"
Sun Temple-
"This Crystal Star... I know that something is not right in this universe..." the sun spirit trailed, spotting Chopper in danger through the Sun Star. "The Chosen One is struggling against the great evil. Although I cannot do much as a spirit, I will say that you cannot give in, Chosen One. You are destined to destroy this great evil, and to fail now would bring destruction upon us all!"
Snowy Mountain-
"This star... What is it, exactly?" one Icimo asked.
"It must be the star that that boy was looking for," Icilder deduced. "It looks like he is at his final battle... But he is grave danger as of now."
"Wait, what?! Then... What do we do?"
"You guys need to motivate him!" Turning around, they gawked upon spotting the winter god, Wintrino, coming in to approach the star. "That boy and his friends managed to save him from the power that was corrupting me. These dudes can't just stop now! They've come this far!"
"He is right," Icilder nodded, turning to the star. "We must not lose hope just yet. We must help this boy!"
"Go get him!"
"Give him the cold shoulder!"
"Be awesome and defeat this demon!"
Illusion Forest-
Scratch and Grounder were left exhausted, having returning to the forest in order to find Eggman's base. Coconuts was with them as well, far from happy to be with them.
"How long until we get to that base?" Coconuts mumbled.
"Ask Grounder! He should know." Scratch suggested.
"Uhhhh... Actually, I don't..." Grounder gulped.
"What?! You idiot! I told you to-"
"Hey, look over there!" Coconuts shouted, pointing to the Forest Star ahead. "Hey, isn't that what Robotnik wanted?"
"Does he sometimes call himself Eggman?" Grounder asked.
"Errrr... Whatever! Now I can give it to him and get the promotion I've been wanting!" Coconuts dove toward the star, but Scratch grabbed his foot, claiming that he would give it to Eggman first. Grounder jumped on top of him to go after it. Soon they were getting a big fight, until they noticed an image of Chopper unconscious against Maquano.
"Hey... Is that demon the reason why everything's so dark?" Grounder asked.
"And if it stays dark... Then Robotnik wouldn't be able to take over the world!" Scratch deduced. "And..."
"Shut up and try to cheer for him," Coconuts grumbled, obviously knowing what to do. "Rah rah rah... Go get him, you antennaed freak..."
"Uhhhh... Yeah! Beat this weird...demon...thingy!" Grounder shouted.
"Beat him so I can take this star and give it to Robotnik!" Scratch shouted.
The fight between the three had suddenly commenced again.
Boo Town-
"My poor, sweet Chopper is in danger!" Bow gaped, looking at Chopper through the Ghost Star. "And is that… Is that Maquano cackling? I… I thought we took care of him?!"
"My lady!" Bootler called out. "We cannot let Chopper be put in danger like this… Oh, if only we can help him…"
"Snap out of it, Bootler! There's no way I'm going to let Chopper lose like this!" Bow turned to the Ghost Star. "Chopper! If you can hear me… Please don't give up. Finish this fight for me…"
"Yes... My lady is right. Do not give up, Chopper."
"Beat him for us!" one Boo shouted.
"Fight him!"
"Show him everything you've got!"
Wingel City-
"Oh, dear… Is that my son who's unconscious?" Flyer's mother gaped in horror at the image through the Sky Star.
"This is terrible… I never thought that it would end like this." Winklin slowly shook his head in disbelief. "Chopper… If you can hear us… Don't give up. You've saved our peaceful world from those Aliebits and that fallen angel. I don't want you to stop this right now."
"Hey... I think I can also hear some voices through that!" the Wingel soldier realized, listening carefully through that. "Listen here, partner! If you don't win this fight, I swear I'm gonna... I'm not going to share you my gummy Goombas!"
"And it's thanks to you that I'm not being enslaved by that jerk, too!" King Bebe shouted, approaching the star. "Chopper, win this for us, all right?"
Clearno Island-
Though there were not many inhabitants on the floating island, one spirit had spotted the Island Star hovering over the altar and approached it. There, it saw the unconscious Chopper and friends, especially one in particular.
"Tamber, my son..." the spirit began. "I know I may not be alive anymore, but I commend you for what you've done. Taking on a shadow demon is not something I could've done myself... And despite what you've done to us thanks to the Star Diamond, you've proven to be a helpful ally to these people. But now your friend has fallen! He cannot give in just yet! Even if your unconscious, do what you can to at least help him!"
Nautina-
With C-2 Choppor and Merlo were left in shock when they had come across the Moon Star hovering over the ground. C-2 Choppor was the first to approach it and saw Chopper's image on it.
"Chopper…" C-2 Choppor trailed. "He's in danger. It looks like he's trying to fight against Maquano..."
"Maquano? I see..." Merlo mumbled. "Perhaps he is the source of all this darkness... As much as I would like to go in and help, I don't think my powers would be enough... The only thing we can do is give him our cheers!"
"Yes," the robot looked over at the star. "Chopper, of all the things you've done for me, I think now's the time for me to return the favor. Please… Stop Maquano and stop the darkness being spread around here!"
"Do not give up!" Merlo shouted, raising his arms and spreading the word around the universe.
Viti-
"I hope that that boy's fine…" a Lakitu trailed while looking at the King's Star. He was over by the docks with Pennington, Silvia, Goldbob and Bub.
"Do not fear, my boy. Flyer is my finest pupil!" Pennington assured. "I'm quite sure he'll prevail!"
"Well, I worry nonetheless…" Silvia sighed. "I still hope there is a future in which my little Bub can grow and prosper…"
"Well then, I suppose all we can do is give him a rousing cheer, hm?" Goldbob suggested. "Yes, I am quite sure he can hear us through the power of this crystal!"
"Darn right, Dad!" Bub turned to the King's Star. "Go, Contadre! Go get 'em!"
"You can win this, Chopper!"
"Contadre!"
"Go, Contadre!"
Pennington looked a bit dumbfounded. "Huh? Ch-Chopper? C-Contadre? Not Fl-Flyer?"
Dream Land-
"Sis! Take a look what I just found!" Bun shouted.
"Huh?" Fumu followed Bun to the center of Hatty Town, where the Dream Star was. "Wh-What's the Crystal Star doing here?"
Bun saw Chopper unconscious and Maquano cackling evilly through it. "Oh, no… Chopper's in deep trouble!"
All of the villagers gasped in horror and gathered up to the star.
"Oh, dear... This is not good..." the Mayor gulped, noticing Maquano. "So this is the one responsible for this entire act?"
"We can't do much now, but at least we can give him our courage! Everyone, please give Chopper your cheers." Fumu suggested.
"I'll start things out!" Bun took a deep breath. "Chopper! You can do it! Don't let that evil demon stop you! I KNOW there's some kind of power in you that can help you stop this evil!"
"Chopper… Don't lose this…" Fumu trailed.
"Do not give in!" the Mayor cried. "You've traveled all around the world to find the twenty Crystal Stars, and it cannot end like this! Chopper, for not only my sake, but everyone across the world... Stop this evil demon!"
"Chopper, I'm sorry I could not go around the world to help you with the Crystal Stars..." Frankly trailed. "But I will not lose hope, nor should you! Defeat this demon, and save the universe!"
"Go, Chopper!"
"Fight for the universe!"
"CHOPPER!"
"GO, CHOPPER!"
"Show that demon who's boss!"
"Hmmmmm… We don't have enough people..." Fumu frowned. She looked over by the hill, where King Dedede and Escargon were still crying. "Ugh… I need to get them to help!"
Fumu rushed over to the hill, the crying getting louder and even more obnoxious.
"You guys! Stop crying right now and help us!"
"It's hopeless! We're all gonna die!" King Dedede cried.
"I don't want it to end like this either, Your Majesty!" Escargon cried.
"If you keep crying, then we're gonna be in an even worse situation!" Fumu grumbled. "Chopper's fighting an evil demon, and if we wins, you might get your castle back."
King Dedede quickly got up. "Then what are we waiting for?! Let's go help that stupid little gumball!"
Wasting no time, the king grabbed Escargon by his eye stalk and dragged him over to the Dream Star.
"Hey! Chopper!" King Dedede shouted in front of the star. "Beat that demon down with everything you've got! If you can save my castle, I SWEAR that I won't do anything to this place anymore!"
"Errr… You can win this, Chopper!" Escargon tried to cheer, but he wasn't doing it too well.
"FIIIIIIIGHT!"
"GO CHOPPER!"
Fumu smiled, feeling more satisfied.
Clara-
Despite the fact that Clara had been covered by the darkness before Maquano was free, the Clara Star had hovered over by Chopper's house. Trinado, Stoneard, Steelfoot, and Poisna were sitting on a log with annoyed expressions, but when they saw the star, they approached it and noticed Chopper was in danger.
"What's Chopper doing there?" Trinado asked. "And is that Maquano there as well?"
"Errr... So Maquano cause darkness?" Stoneard gawked.
"Arrr... So the reason why we've become this is due to him..." Steelfoot trailed. "If anything, I wish to be back to normal."
"Yeah! As much as I hate Chopper, I'm rooting for him for once!" Poisna declared. "So if you can hear me, Chopper, go beat Maquano for us! We want to be ourselves once again!"
"Stop him!"
"Stoneard want you to stand up!"
"Get up, matey!"
Sprite City-
"My goodness..." Starlder trailed, getting a glimpse of Chopper through the Light Star. "This is the Crystal Star I ended up losing!"
"But do you see what's through here?" Starlow asked. "That boy who came here with his friends... Look at them!"
"Oh, yes... He is indeed in trouble. Well, the best thing we can do is give him our cheers, yes?"
"You bet!" Starlow smirked, looking back at the star. "Hey, Chopper! Listen to me! Show this dark freak who's boss!"
"Take him down like how I used to beat up thugs back in the old days!" Starlder exclaimed.
"You never did that!"
"Errr... Yeah I did!"
Starlite Galaxy-
Even in Starlite Galaxy, the voices had started to travel around. Geno and Staris, on the other hand, had found the Dark Star slowly descending onto their observatory. Many Star Kids approached it with curiosity.
"What is this thing?" one Star Kid asked.
"Could this be the star that Chopper was seeking?" Geno wondered, approaching it. Through its reflection, he saw the image of the defeated heroes and Maquano. "Oh, no... This can't be... Is that really Maquano?"
Staris had taken a look at the Dark Star as well and saw the reflection. Though he could not speak, he decided to pray for Chopper's safety.
"I... I think I understand what you mean." Geno said, turning to the Dark Star. "Chopper, if you can hear me, please listen... Everyone across the universe is depending on you. All the living things desperately need to see the light again! So, please... Do not let yourself be beaten by this foul demon!"
"Yeah, go get him, Chopper!"
"Destroy this freak!"
"Fight! Fight! Fight!"
Tartamos-
Despite that no star was around in Tartamos, the warriors could hear the voices echoing around them.
"Hmmmmm… It appears that people are trying to help Chopper. We cannot let him lose like this!" Meta Knight cleared his throat. "Chopper! You may have gotten this universe into trouble with the Crystal stars, but I believe in you! If you could take down the Shadow King, then surely you can take down your old nemesis!"
"Beat that demon to a pulp, Chopper!" Sword Knight shouted.
"You can do it, man!" Blade Knight shouted.
"Kid, I want you to get up and give him all you got against him!" Kit Cosmos shouted.
"Beat 'em, man!" Knuckle Joe shouted, to punching and kicking the air.
"Yes, Meta Knight's right! I know you can do this!" Silica yelled.
"Please, Chopper… You've done a lot, bringing down an army of Tartaras and an old wizard! I have complete faith in you!" Sir Arthur stated.
"We might as well help," Blade cleared his through. "C'mon, Chopper! Show that enemy of yours who's boss!"
"Uhh… Why should I cheer? That's stupid..."
"If you don't cheer, you're joining Dark in his cell."
"OK! Fine!" Bang cleared his throat. "Come on, dude! I don't know much about you, but I know for a fact you can kick someone's butt for sure!"
"Errrr... What they said!" Night shouted, while Blade looked over at Dark Doom.
"Oh, fine… Chopper, you can fight him and yadda yadda yadda…" Dark cheered sarcastically, not caring in the slightest. It was then that Blade drew his katana and pointed the tip at him. "OK! OK! Chopper! I believe in you! FIIIIIIGHT!"
"Much better," Blade smirked as he put his katana away.
Many other places had heard of the voices and continued to cheer for Chopper and his friends. Places such as the Mushroom Kingdom, Mobius, and many more had joined in with their cheers.
