A/N:
HOLY MACKEREL! AN UPDATE! It's a miracle! I had such a busy month, so not much (heh, i mean NO) time to write a new chapter. Here it is: written at the time of 0:01 (12pm i guess?)
I tried to write longer chapters, and managed to reach 2,000 words. (Yeah, I myself think that that is very much :3)
I would like to thank all the readers who reviewed last chapter! my personal thanks to:

and Guest! (The one who reviewed probably knows I mean him/her ;) )
The Turtles aren't mine, the plot is.
Normal POV:
The smell of the sewers was horrible. That is understandable, but still it is not pretty to walk there. Even under the ground, graffiti was painted on the dark walls of the tunnels. The old pipes running through the walls also didn't improve the looks of the smelly place.
The three turtles stumbled through the sewers. They didn't go very fast, but that was understandable; Donnie had a hard time standing straight, so imagine him trying to walk….
Leonardo was looking straight forward. While walking, he had time to think about the situation. How bad it actually was. Right then he didn't realize it but this accident could have big consequences for all of them. What if Donnie would never remember them? All those years of training, family time and laughter: all gone with the blow he had on his head. He looked at his right, to his unmasked brother.
Donnie was covered with bruises, head to toe. One large purple bruise could be seen on the left side of his head. 'That must've been the culprit' he thought. He scanned the rest of his body. There were gashes and bruises everywhere, and some dried blood on his plastron. Master Splinter will be able to take care of him. 'And after that we'll deal with the memory loss.'
Donatello felt that Leonardo was watching him, but didn't pay any attention to it. He wanted to clutch his arm but he couldn't. If he did, he had to let go of Michelangelo and that would only lead to him falling over. But it was so tempting…..
Leonardo was still watching him, and that started to irritate him a bit.
'Yeah, I am STILL walking beside you… I'm not going anywhere, okay Leonardo?'
Michelangelo chuckled.
'Dude, you don't have to use our full names all the time. Just say Leo. That's WAAAY easier! And not as lame as his full name.' He giggled.
That earned him a smack on the head by Leo.
'OW! Just kidding! Sjeesh… someone's being 'Raph-like'…'
Leo rolled his eyes.
'Wait, who's Raph again?'
The masked turtles looked at Donnie.
'What do you mean? We just saw him! You know, the ugly version of us?' Mikey said while wildly pointing to himself and Leo.
They stood still and they let Donnie stand on his own. He immediately grabbed his arm, like it would heal faster when he hold it. He gave them a confused look.
'Was that Raph? I thought his name was Rob.'
That received him worried looks again. 'Okay, so try to remember his name, or they'll just get even more worried than they already are.'
They continued on their way home, the three of them having sad expressions on their faces.
They only had to go 500 meters till they would reach the lair, when Raph showed up. He stealthily lowered himself from the surface into the sewer, directly behind Mikey. Slowly he sneaked closer to him, ready to scare the crap out of him. On his toes he tiptoed got closer and closer….
He held his head close to Mikey's ear and took a deep breath to sound even scari-
'I already saw you Raph. Don't bother trying to scare me cause I won't.'
Raph jumped up like a scared cat, with a frightened expression on his face. Leo started laughing and Mikey smiled.
'MIKEY YOU MORON! I was supposed to scare you, NOT the other way around!'
This made them laugh even harder. Raph himself had to laugh a bit too. The only one not really laughing was Donnie. Sure, he smiled a bit, but he was still in pain.
Mikey noticed it first, and stopped laughing. He looked at Leo, who understood the hint and they both supported Donnie again. Still snickering, Raph joined the crew. Then he spoke up again.
'Yo Donnie, I found something from you. Next time try not to be so messy.'
He pulled a purple mask from his belt while grinning. Leo and Mikey smiled. Donnie looked at Raph.
'So I assume that that's mine?' He said while Raph tied the cloth around his head.
'Why are we wearing it anyway? It's not like our identity must be hidden or something, right?'
Crud, Leo thought, He doesn't even know that were ninjas… OR that we can't be seen by humans.
Raph snorted. 'Why asking the question at all? It is obvious that ninjas work in the shadows. DUH.'
He said the last word while pointing at his head.
'Are you stupid or something?'
Donnie gave a bewildered look.
'Wait, what?'
This time Mikey slapped Raph.
'OW!'
'That's what you deserve for being so insensitive bro.' Mikey looked deadly serious when he stated that.
Raph growled and stomped to the lair.
Donnie's POV:
That last statement the guys made confused me. Are they talking about actual ninja stuff? And that stuff involves me? Well, I ask them about it later, my health is more important right now.
Finally we reached the entrance of the lair. Master Splinter immediately sensed that his sons arrived and came out of his room. He had a cup in his hand; I don't know why, but I think it is jasmine tea. His gaze was first pointed to Leo but when he saw me he immediately switched to a concerned-parent mode.
'My sons, what happened? Are you all right Donatello?'
The large rat said with much concern in his voice. When I say large, I mean LARGE. I was a bit anxious when I saw it. Leonar- uhm, Leo grabbed my shoulder.
'Relax Donnie, this is Master Splinter. Our father.'
Wait, so what he is telling me is that the large mutant rat is the father of three mutant turtles? I-I mean four! Talk about crazy…. So apparently this is my father; he looks kinda familiar now I think about it…
'-atello, I asked you a question.' 'Master Splinter' said.
I must've been thinking too much again. Mikey and R… what was his name again? I know I can remember him. It was something with an 'R'.
…
…
Oh, I remember! Mikey and Raphael stepped forward to Master Splinter. Well, at least the name problem is solved. I hope.
'I'm sorry sir, what did you say?'
Splinter frowned. He looked at Leo.
'Master Splinter, I don't know how to say this but… well you see, uhm…. This is what the-uhh… the problem is…'
I saw that Raphael was starting to lose his patience.
Yup, I was correct.
'What Fearless is TRYING to say is that Donnie is facing some… memory problems.'
'Master' Splinter, I don't know why they call their father 'master' but anyway, didn't show any emotions. Why didn't he show any emotions? I mean, I am his son right? Shouldn't he care more? I decided to keep that to myself. First I wanted to get rid of the pain in my arm and head. The gashes and bruises didn't really bother me that much. So I am pretty resistant against pain, I guess more than other… organisms?
'My son, is that true?'
Splinter asked. I nodded.
'That is indeed very grave news. We will deal with this matter later. First I will treat your wounds. Michelangelo, could you please assist me while I help Donatello?'
Mikey bowed and walked over to Splinter. Wow, they are very disciplined! Together they walked to what I think is the bathroom.
Leo brought me to another room while Raphael sat down on the couch reading a comic book. For a home in the sewers, we can really keep the place clean. The room was sealed off with two big folding doors. Bright lights engulfed the room. On the left side of the room was a desk with a laptop on it, there were many biological posters on the wall (from humans, and turtles as well) and there were television screens on the wall that showed parts of the sewers. On the right side were a few makeshift beds and a cabinet on the wall. This place kinda reminded me of some sort of laboratory.
Leonardo brought me to one of the beds. Carefully I sat down. Leo sat next to me. He was staring at the ground. He didn't say anything but his blank look said enough. He simply didn't know how to deal with a situation like this.
'Donnie,' he looked up. 'Please tell me that everything will be all right. Please.'
A desperate tone could be detected in his voice. His face showed the same emotion as the tone I heard in his voice.
'I-I… I hope so…'
Leo looked sad again.
I felt like slapping myself. Very convincing Donatello… VERY convincing… Let's try to make things BETTER instead of making it WORSE. This time, I spoke with much more determination in my voice.
'Leo, don't you worry. Everything is going to be all right. I promise.'
Leo's face lit up immediately. It seems like I said the right thing! And maybe, I said it with the right tone too.
Mikey and Splinter walked into the room. Mikey was carrying a Band-Aid box and Splinter had a cup in his paw.
Leo stood up and said goodbye.
Normal POV.
Master Splinter and Mikey walked into the bathroom. When the door closed, Mikey's eternal smile disappeared from his face. Watery eyes came in place. Master Splinter saw it coming, and embraced his youngest son. Mikey's tears never left his eyes. He tried to hold them in, in which he succeeded.
'Oh master Splinter, what do we do? He can't even remember that he is a ninja. Shell, he didn't even recognize his own mask!'
Mikey started to sob. Master Splinter loosened his grip around Mikey so he could look into his eyes.
'Don't worry my son. Every problem has a solution; every question an answer. Keep this in mind, Michelangelo.'
Mikeys sobs slowly died.
'What do you mean master?'
Master Splinter sighed.
'What I am trying to say is, that you must never lose hope and that you should never give up. Donatello has a strong mind. His memory will come back in time. But right now we have to take care of his physical injuries. After that, we will deal with the mental ones.'
Mikey nodded. He wiped the wetness out of his eyes and collected the medical treatment.
Together they headed to Donnie's lab.
Mikey saw that Leo was just leaving Donnie's side. While he walked towards the door, he gave him a pat on the shoulder. 'We'll talk later.' He said.
Master Splinter and Mikey worked fast. They had to bandage his left arm. He had indeed sustained a broken arm, just like Donnie predicted. When Splinter asked how he knew that, he said that he had no idea. For the rest they had to clean the cuts on his arms, legs and even a few in his neck. Last of all there was the large bruise on his head. Master Splinter tried to touch the spot, but that caused Donnie a lot of pain. Mikey carefully put some bandage around his head.
When they were finally done, Donnie yawned.
'Donatello, why don't you go get some sleep? It was a long day so you better get some rest.'
Donnie nodded and murmured a 'thank you' before he got into a peaceful slumber. His master tucked him in before he left.
Mikey tip-toed out of the room, followed by Splinter who didn't need to sneak around. Leo and Raph watched their brother and master exit the lab. Mikey sighed and spoke:
'Guys, I think this going to ask a lot of us.'
Ta-Da! DONE!
I can ask you to review, but…..
I forgot my clever remark... *facepalm*
Sooo:
PLEASE REVIEW!
