I'm really sorry. I have been so busy with family and school. I had it already. I just haven't had time to put it on. So I made this long and I hope you guys can forgive me.
Snape pov:
I watched her pull her shirt up to see these snake like tattoos on her arms. They spiral down her arms to her hands where they met with their fangs out. I looked at her eyes where the weren't the same color anymore. No, they were snake eyes. I shivered of the memories of the dark lord. I looked back at they and looked in closely. They didn't look mean but sad and scared.
"Go headed, yell at me. Be scared of what's inside me. I'm not human, I'm not like any of the other kids," Kate said as she looked at me.
"Why would I yell at you? Your just a little girl who is scared," I said as I looked in her eyes.
She just stood there looking at me with tears in her eyes. All of a sudden she ran up to me and hugged me around my waist. She cried her little heart out with her saying over and over again, "I want be to loved for once, I want someone to not be afraid of me."
I looked down at her and in my mind I remembered a little boy who just wanted to be loved. So I picked her up and looked her in the eyes, which were still snake eyes.
"Now listen hear Kate Snape, I'm not going to leave you. I'm going to help you. We're going to go to the headmaster and help you. Ok?" I said
She nodded her head and we walked out to the headmaster's office.
Headmaster's office
"This is odd Severus. I don't know what's wrong," said Dumbledore.
Nothing's wrong, nothing wrong! She has eyes of a snake and tattoos of them going down her arm. How is that not bad?" I said with angry in my voice
"Sweetie can you tell me what life was like in the orphanage?" The headmaster asked.
Kate looked up from her heads. Her eyes were back to normal but I couldn't get the image of them out of my head.
"They never talked to me..the kids called me names but they liked one particular name," she said in a quite tone.
"And what name was that?" Dumbledore asked.
She closed her eyes and looked down. After a min she looked up and what I saw was not the Kate I looked at before. She looked up with her snake eyes again, she smiled evilly with fangs, and all of a sudden lighting strike.
"They called me the black mamba," said Kate with venom in her voice.
I looked at Albus and he looked at me. We both were thinking the same thing. What was wrong with this girl. But we thought too soon.
"I'm not human or a witch. I'm a demon, a snake demon. I was tested with this potion to see what'll happen and now look at me. I'm nothing but a monster. A monster..." She looked at us with not the evil face but with a sad face. She looked at me," who wants to be loved,"
And with that she ran out of the office and down the stairs.
"Kate!" I yelled and ran after her with Albus behind me.
She ran down the stairs and out the door into the raining night. When I got out there...she was gone.
"Kate...Kate...KATE! I yelled into the night.
Headmaster's office
"Will find her Severus," Dumbledore said.
"Why did you chosed me?" I said standing up
I looked at him in the eye. There was no more tinkle I'm them.
"I chosed you Severus...was because you know what it feels like to be alone. Who wants to be loved. I know you say you won't love her but why did you scream her name to fine her? Why Severus?" Albus asked
I looked him died in the eye and said, "because she's my responsibility and I need to keep her safe.
All of a sudden Hagrid comes in. With a little girl in his arms...Kate! I looked at her and all I could see was sad and scared.
I picked her up and put of Hagrid's arms and put her in mine. I looked at Dumbledore and gave him a nodded. I walked out of his office and down the stairs.
"Are you mad at me?"
I looked down at Kate. I could tell she was cold and shivering.
"We'll talk about it later. For now we need to get you warm. And next time," I looked her in the eyes, " don't think I'll never care about you. I might not let you call me "dad" or "father" but I do care."
With that said I took her down to my head chambers where I need to have a hard drink and a dreamless sleep potion. This was one hard day.
