Jacob

I woke up this morning and didn't feel Dalylah next to me. I rolled over and found her sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall with her eyes closed.

"Dalylah?"

One of her eyes opened, then the other. She blinked a couple times before she smiled at me.

"Morning"

"Why are you on the floor?"

"Meditating. I'm making the house today so I need a clear head"

"Okay?"

She rolled her eyes. She got off the floor, came over to the bed and purposely dropped onto my chest.

"What are you doing today?" she asked while sliding off me

"I don't know, I might do some patrolling. After that, nothing at all"

"Are you going to eat?"

"Not right now. Why?"

"I want you to pick the spot for the house. I'm going to start right after. And I don't want you seeing it either"

"Why not?"

"I want it to be a surprise"

"Fine. Let's go"

I didn't bother putting on a shirt. I just pulled on my shorts.

We walked slowly into the woods.

"You wanna see something?"

"Sure"

She stopped in front of me and held her hands out with the palms facing up. Soon I saw thick black smoke coming from them. It fell like sand and swirled around her until I could barely see her.

Then it cleared away.

Now she was wearing light blue jean shorts, a oversized dark blue sweater and her hair was in a ponytail.

"What do you think?"

"Interesting"

She grabbed my hand and pulled me along.

We walked for awhile until I saw this clearing I never recognized before. It was circular and surrounded by trees with a lot of room.

"Here seems good"

"Yeah, I like it too"

Dalylah

"Hey"

Jacob looked down at me.

"What?"

"Do you mind?"

He glared at me. "I'm going"

I went on my toes to kiss him. "I'll come get you when I'm done"

"Okay"

He turned into a wolf and ran away.

I faced the clearing again.

"Yegbu povm dirqwi rehdo"

I summoned my helpers, the Xarcina. They were 7 big shadows basically and looked like what humans would call Yeti's.

"Tey gnioyt psednckc ascjk cvir"

They started taking down trees for me to use. In total they took down about 20 trees and lined them up in a row. Now here is where the real work began.

Whenever I do serious magic, the color of my eyes change. Right now my eyes were a bright blue with white closer to the center of my eye where it met black.

The black smoke Jacob saw earlier appeared once more. It flowed out of my palms and made it's way over to the wood.

Eventually you could hear the wood cracking. The wood was engulfed entirely in smoke and the sound of the wood breaking slowly got louder. The ground trembled slightly beneath my feet.

The wood groaned as I made it bend and twist.

After 2 hours, I was finally done.

I sat on the ground to catch my breath. It took a lot out of me.

When I rested enough, I stood up and dusted myself. I went up to the door and turned the knob. The door swung open. I made a two story house with a lot of space. For now I just put one bedroom in here.

I placed my hand onto the wall and the smoke appeared once again. I was making furniture appear. Couches, tables, curtains, lights. The whole kitchen was ready. I heard a thump coming from upstairs meaning the bed just popped up.

Everything was finished.

I went back outside and called my Xarcina. I told them to stay here and watch the house.

I smelt around and found Jake's scent. I took of in the direction of the Cullen's. I was running at full speed, jumping over rocks and leaping through the trees.

As I went from branch to branch, I could hear them below me. I just dropped down to the ground.

Before I looked up, I heard a squeal and little feet.

"Hi Lyla"

"Hi Nessie"

I stood all the way up and looked down at her. She looked at me curiously.

"What happened to your eyes?"

"I was doing something. I came over to get Jacob but you can come too"

"Really? What is it?"

"Come see"

Jacob walked over. "All finished?"

I nodded.

"...Your eyes are blue"

"I know. My eyes change depending on what type of magic I'm doing. Like this morning when I told you that I was meditating? This is concentrated magic"

"Do they turn any other colors?"

"Yeah. You'll see them eventually"

Carlisle and the others came over too.

"What's going on here?"

"All of you, come look at what I did"

After that everyone took off after me. A few minutes later we reached the clearing.

"Wow. You did all this by yourself?"

"Actually I had a little help from those guys"

My Xarcina appeared. Even though they're spirits they still act like they're alive. They joke around and do other things. They were shoving each other around

"This is amazing"

"Well...go look at the inside"

Everyone rushed inside. I walked slowly behind them.

I watched as they examined different parts of the house.

"This is amazing" said Alice "Do you need any help decorating?"

"Um, I'm not sure. I'll let you know if I do"

After everyone left, "to give us some privacy", Jacob and I went back to the reservation.

It was late in the afternoon but the sun was still shining brightly.

"Oh look, here comes the lovebirds" Embry called out.

Some of the guys started making kissing noises.

"What have you two been doing all day?"

"Working on our house"

"House?"

"Yeah. It's a little ways down that path in a clearing. Can't miss it"

"Aww, Jakey is growing up"

I laughed a little.

I was about to say something when I caught someone else's thought. Leah.

Jacob

Dalylah got quiet all of a sudden. I looked down at her and she looked angry. I soon found out why.

"Is there something you have to say, Leah?"

"What if I do?"

"Might as well get it off your chest, it might make you a little less annoying"

"Alright, fine. Like I said yesterday, you don't belong here. This is our land. It doesn't matter what you call yourself, you're still like the vampires and none of you should be in our territory"

Dalylah chuckled. "You can't tell me what to do. You're the only one having an issue with for me some reason, but I'm not going anywhere"

"Don't be too sure of that"

"Oh, I can be. Jacob imprinted on me, and I marked him. There is not one single thing a child like you can do to scare me or make me leave"

"What did you just call me?"

"A child. I'm older than all you combined, so in my eyes, you're a child"

"You little blood sucking skank...you're going to regret that"

"Make me"

That was it. Leah phased just like before, wanting to tear Dalylah in half but I wasn't going to let it happen.

I was going to phase too but Dalylah stopped me.

"This is between me and her. She needs to learn that I'm not someone to take lightly. Now all of you move out the way"

Nobody really moved though. And then it happened, Leah lunged. Dalylah simply just moved out the way.

For the next couple of minutes it was just swing and miss for her until she finally landed a hit. It sent Dalylah stumbling backwards and she lost her balance.

She stood back up and dusted herself off. I was almost ready to destroy Leah.

"Calm down. I'm fine. That barely did anything to me"

Dalylah looked directly at me and I was shocked. Her eyes were blood red and had pupils similar to a cat. There was this huge slash in one of her sleeves. She simply ripped it off as well as the other one.

"Is that best you can do? Either way, it's only fair that I get my turn"

Her face went from being calm to really pissed. I could see her fangs from over here. Her gaze got dark and at the same instant Leah started to cry out in pain. She made no movement towards her at all. She was doing the same thing that creepy girl Jane does.

Then in an instant Dalylah was on Leah's back. They were struggling pretty hard but she didn't fall off. Dalylah started choking Leah and it seemed like she was going to break her neck. I ran over and threw her off.

Leah fell on the ground trying to stand up. I stood between the both of them to make sure she didn't come back over.

"Stop. This wasn't even supposed to go this far. She's already going to be in enough trouble for attacking you. You're not supposed to harm anyone that's been imprinted on, it's one of our biggest laws"

Dalylah stood up straight. She looked between Leah and me. She looked like she was hyperventilating. Then she just took off running into the forest. I checked to make sure Leah was still breathing then ran after Dalylah.

I had no clue where she was. I couldn't place her scent. I ended up passing around the Cullen's.

"Did any of you see Dalylah run through her?"

"No. Something wrong?" asked Esme

"I guess you could say that. She and Leah got into a fight and I had to pry her off of Leah. She took off in the forest and now I don't know where she is"

"Can't you smell her?"

"Sort of. It's all over the place, I can't be sure which direction she ran in"

I heard feet drop beside me.

It was Carlisle, Edward, Jasper, and Emmett

"We'll help you look. People like her are hard to handle alone and Jasper might be able to help calm her down"

"Alright, let's go"

It seemed like we've searching for ages. We caught sight of her not to far from the cliff side above the beach. She was ripping off the rest of her shirt which revealed an orange tank top underneath.

She was sitting very close to the edge. When you looked closer, you could see lots of claw marks on her arms and legs.

"All of you can just leave"

"What are doing?"

"Calming down"

"How? By clawing at yourself? And why are you so close to the edge?"

She chuckled."Afraid I might fall? It'd take a whole lot more than a drop like this to kill me, trust me. And yes clawing at myself calms me down, I do it all the time"

"Dalylah, come over here"

"No. Just go back to the house or the reservation. I'll be back in a little while"

"Stop being stubborn and-"

"I'm not being stubborn, I'm trying not to kill anyone!" She yelled and turned her head in my direction. I could see anger and sadness all over her face.

"If I didn't come to my senses after you separated me from Leah and ran, I don't know what would've happened. It isn't safe to be around me when I'm like this, none of you can do anything"

She stood up right on the edge of the cliff and sighed.

"Fine. If you're not going to leave then just wait for me on the beach" she said before stepping forward

I thanked them for helping me find her and went down to the beach. When I got down there, she was sitting on the sand with her head on her knees. I just sat down next to her.

The sun started to set. She didn't move until it got dark. We walked alongside each other in silence, she kept her eyes focused on the ground.

I knew she could hear my thoughts. I pulled her into a hug and kept repeating them over and over. She didn't fight me either.

Nothing about today changed the way I thought about her.

"I'm still sorry" she said

"It's fine. I know you didn't try to kill her on purpose"

"If I hurt her really bad I can fix her but I guess no one would want me going near her"

"Most likely"

I kissed her forehead and she clung to me a little tighter

"I think I'm just gonna go back to the house"

"Okay. I'll be there soon"

She reached up and kissed me before taking off.

I went back to the reservation to see how things went after I left. I found out Leah was okay for the most part. She just needs to stay in bed for a few days. They asked me what should happen to her. I said for them to leave her be but if she tries that again I wouldn't stop Dalylah.
