"She doesn't look like Alice"

"That's because she isn't alice you imbecile"

"Oh lighten up Rabbit, you're always so miserable"

"I wouldn't be so 'miserable' if I didn't have your pathetic self to look after, if it wasn't for me you wouldn't be here right now"

"No need to remind me! I was just thinking that I would rather have been squashed by a stranger, than having this conversation with you right now"

"Could you both perhaps stop this mindless squabble and aid me in reviving this young lady? She is our main focus at the present moment"

"Of course Caterpillar, my apologies"

"Whatever"

It was difficult for Alice to make out much more of the conversation as her attention was focused on regaining her consciousness. She could not recognize the voices, the smells or the feeling of the ground beneath her, yet she felt strangely familiar with her surroundings despite not being able to see anything.

"I think she's awake... Alice? Is that you? It's me, hare!"

"Alice? If you're awake, it's me rabbit, show us if you're awake Alice"

Blinking, adjusting to the light, Alice opened her eyes to the glaring sunlight beaming down upon her face. It was incredible, the faces that spoke to her were a blurred image, where was this place she questioned, how on earth did I get here. The question that she was most interested in however, was how they knew her name.

"I'm awake"

Shocked by her sudden awareness all three figures jumped forward with upmost interest, their undivided attention solely on Alice.

"At last, our dear child has returned to us"

"I don't think she's a child anymore caterpillar, that looks like a woman to me"

"A young woman"

"Thank you for your verification rabbit, I wouldn't have been able to tell so myself" hare slyly smirked once again humored by his incredible sarcasm.

"It's time we tell him, he needs to know"

"well I'm not going to be the one to tell him" rabbit declared, as though all of his arrogance had quickly vanished at the mention of 'him'.

Who were they talking about? There was only one person on Alice's mind, only one thought racing through her head.

"I want to meet him... now"
