-3:12 AM-

The group thought it was for the best to leave Azusa in the care of Louis along with Wataru back at the complex.

"Just call me if anything happens." Masaomi said as he walked into the elevator along with the others.

Louis waved back to the man as the doors closed, "Don't worry Masaomi, they'll be just fine."

The drive to Natsume's apartment was only about ten minutes. The group had to take three separate cars in order to fit everyone; Ukyo, Hikaru and Kaname each driving one with at least two others in each.

"Alright, now I want all of you to remember," Ukyo began to lecture as they parked their cars in front of the apartment, grouping together once more, "It's three in the morning, and I don't expect Natsume to be in the best of moods."

"Not like he ever is..." Fuuto whispered to Yusuke who laughed.

Ukyo glared back at the pair but continued, "So I want all of you to keep this in mind when we knock. Alright?"

They all nodded and they made their way up.

"I don't want your damn pamphlets!" Natsume shouted when he opened the door, the young carrot-head dressed in a green robe and cute pink bunny slippers (which one could assume were given as a gift from Ema).

"Um... hello Natsume..." Masaomi tried to calm the man.

"Is that you Enrique?!" His eyes were half-closed and his head was moving frantically, "How many times do I have to say it, I don't have your drug money!"

"Natsume..." Ukyo was tapping his shoulder with impatience.

"Oh god." His voice had reached new feminine-like heights, his voice was cracked and they could tell he was on the verge of tears, "I swear I'll have it! I'm not that type of person... just trust meeee!"

"Enough of this shit." Subaru approached the orange-haired man and smacked him square in the face.

"God dammit!" He sat up slowly, rubbing the sore cheek that had been hit, "What the utter FUCK?"

"You were still in dreamland." Yusuke said.

"Well why the hell did you have to punch me!?"

"It was like watching a teenage girl on her period, your mood was EVERYWHERE," was Subaru's justification.

With the help of a hand from Tsubaki, Natsume managed to get his moody self together (sort of) and stand up, leaning on the doorframe for support where he turned his face upward slowly.

"And what do I owe the pleasure of having practically all of my family knocking on my door at three in the morning?" Natsume growled through slit eyes, eye bags dark and puffy, obviously greatly disturbed from being awakened from his slumber.

"Oh hey Natsume," Yusuke, said with genuine niceness, the dumbass who was oblivious to Natume's clearly pissed aura, "We were wondering if we could use your computer."

Natsume blinked slowly, trying to comprehend what the young red-head had just said, "Why?"

"There was a storm and the power outage hit our complex, we have no internet or working cell phones for that matter." Kaname's level-headed response was.

"Quite literally everything is either closed from being so late or closed from the power outage," Ukyo commented.

"So we came here." Fuuto finished Ukyo's sentence.

"Just let us in." Iorri, the only man denser than a wall, said.

Natsume just kind of stood there attempting to absorb all the information that had just been thrown at him in less than a minute. But the only thing that really stood out to this man was the fact that Subaru was still in his underwear.

"The hell are you in your freakin' Calvin Klein's man!? There are CHILDREN around!" and muttered slightly, "A loser and a freakin pedophile, you sick freak."

To which Subaru responded by kicking Natsume in the nuts and walking in as Natsume doubled-over in pain, "Not when it's three in the morning."

"It needs ice!" The orange-head said in-between sobs, Tsubaki trying to control his laughter by covering his mouth with his hand.

"ANYWAY," Subaru went on as if nothing had happened, "So you have power or what?"

"I don't know! I've been asleep since eight and I can't ju-"

He was cut off when Yusuke asked, "Wait, why the hell did you go to sleep at eight?"

Natsume glanced at the boy, "Uh... long story that includes drinking and possibly stealing a camel in broad daylight... you're too young," and continued casually, "anyway, I'll see, just let me get some freakin ice on these..."

He limped while holding his sore crotch over to the refrigerator and opened the top with bottled up enthusiasm for the cold sensation to replace the extreme pain. But he only opened it to find the tray melted with water.

"N-n-n-n," he whimpered, while still keeping his face within the fridge, hiding his tears.

"N?" Hikaru repeated, a devilish smile creeping over his face, "New nickname I assume?"

"NOOOOO!" Natsume dropped to his knees and wept for the young cubes who never had a chance to freeze a lemonade, cool a soda or soothe a pair of balls.

Just seeing his older brother, who was usually a calm, level-headed businessmen reduced to such a state, frightened Fuuto such to a point that he had to leave the room.

Tsubaki was on the verge of sobbing from just rolling on the floor laughing, accompanied with Hikaru and Yusuke's snort-like chuckles. Subaru stood, arms crossed, back against a wall nodding his head with pride as he watched his ass of a brother weep. Even Iorri had a slight smile (despite Satan's gaze in both eyes) but it was more out of sadistic-like pleasure from seeing this pain on someone who kind of deserved it. Ukyo wasn't laughing, and just adjusted his glasses with even more impatience until the laughing was to subside while Masaomi was actually worried for Natsume, worried that his brother might become sterile with that sort of impact and no ice.

When Natsume had finally gathered himself from his mourning by lighting himself a cigarette, Ukyo explained the details as to why they required internet.

"Let's get to the point, Azusa was mugged by a man who took his wallet and cellphone. We want to catch him. Unfortunately we can not use his phone because it's dead but we're going off the assumption that he will be using Azusa's debit card tonight in order to make a run for it tomorrow, we need internet to trace the statement back to this guy."

The damaged orange-head looked up when he heard this, "Wait... no one told me this was for Azusa." Natume's face immediately contorted into worry.

"Don't worry, he's in stable condition at the moment," Masaomi smiled calmly at the man, knowing there wasn't a need to worry him more than what was needed.

"He's even pretty ballsy, considering he just got held at gunpoint," Yusuke added, admiration for his older brother shining in his eyes.

"Sounds like him," Natsume returned Masaomi's smile, "Well, as you can see, I don't have electricity, sorry."

"So much for coming here..." Subaru muttered. The others looked disappointed as well.

"And here I was thinking something good had actually happened to us for once," Fuuto sighed, walking back into the room.

"What happens, happens," Kaname nudged his shoulders up, "No use crying over spilled milk."

Natsume let out a long sigh and dragged out the cigarette with it, "Well..." his fingers fumbled with his hair, "I didn't want to say this, but my office at work does run on a backup generator."

Everyone immediately perked up.

"Well hell, let's go!" Yusuke shouted, everyone shhing him, signaling that he could wake the neighbors

"Sounds like a plan!" Tsubaki added, running towards the door with young red-head.

"WAIT." Natsume called, stopping the two, "There isn't any need for ALL of you to come. One: It's gonna look sketch with ten people walking into a gaming company at three in the morning, two: I'm the only one with my I.D. and the only one technically qualified to enter and three: if my boss sees nine other people with me on the security footage, she's gonna suspect some shit. So, I'll just go and print out the statement and bring it back. Simple."

Ukyo immediately shook his head, "No. We've been through this scenario before with Azusa, at this hour at least bring another person with you."

Natsume met Ukyo's eyes with a challenging glare, "Well you don't exactly have authority over me, do you Ukyo? I don't live at the complex and I can think for myself you know."

"Well I can tell Subaru to go with you, whether he likes it or not." Ukyo retorted, "He'll make sure you don't get as hurt as hell as you already are."

"Wait Ukyo..." Masaomi muttered to the blond, "...you know how much they don't get along. You saw how they interacted."

"I'll go." Subaru said but glared at Natsume, "Only to make sure this guy doesn't quit on this either."

Natsume held Subaru's glare but finally huffed, putting his cigarette out on an ash tray as he stood up, "Whatever pleases you guys. I call shotgun though."

The drive to Natsume's workplace was a short one, only about five minutes, but both men couldn't even so much as make small-talk much less make eye contact with one another. The tension was thick enough to slice up and fry alongside some bacon.

It was a giant sigh of relief when the pair approached the building to see it illuminated by the backup generator's electricity.

When they approached the main entrance Natsume took out his I.D. card and held it up to the scanner to scan.

It showed green and unconsciously, as Natsume did every day as it was pure routine, he approached the automatic glass door but was suddenly stopped by Subaru's powerful grip on his shoulder, holding him still.

"As much as I'd love to see you hit the glass, I can't have you getting hurt more than how much you already are," there was a sort of almost disappointed tone accompanying Subaru's voice as he said it.

Coming from the man who's younger than me

Natsume honestly just wanted to curl up and die, but ended up turning around to face his brother, finally meeting his gaze, and asked the million dollar question, "Why did you stop me?"

The tall man gestured toward a keypad next to the scanner which Natsume had completely missed. The tiny red light was blinking fast and the keys on it glowed, illuminating the numbers, mimicking the lights fast blinks from its LED's.

"I'm assuming that you never come here this late."

Natsume nodded.

"So you probably never noticed a security system they put up after midnight, most buildings do that nowadays." He shook his head, "I'm guessing it's a way of keeping computer-loving thieves out or," he eyed Natsume, "perhaps even some drunk employees..."

Natsume was going to think of smart comeback to that taunt, but was too freakin' tired and moody to even give a shit anymore. "So what's with the keypad?" he ended up asking instead.

"Probably for the boss, they disarm it every morning and rearm it every night. So only they know the code."

I really need a freakin cigarette right now...

Pure frustration was what gripped Natsume's mind, "Well shit, I can't just call her up. I don't have her number or a phone or her address."

"We can't wait till morning," Subaru added, mimicking Natsume's frustration, "this guy needs to be found tonight or else we'll never find him again."

Both men stood there, attempting to think of different plans to either find a computer, find Natsume's boss or search for this guy without the statement.

"I can't think of jack." Natsume finally gave up, bowing his head down as he held a fistful of hair with one hand.

"Same," Subaru agreed, "I don't want to say this but I guess the only thing left to do is go back and tell the others."

Natsume nodded and both men walked back to the car, Natsume unlocked the drivers side with his keys and got in but Subaru stopped suddenly.

"What is it?" Natsume asked, peeking his head out the window to stare at the tall man.

"I have a folding chair in the trunk..." he let the words hang in the air, "and that door is made of glass..."

"Hell. No. I have a job and reputation to maintain you know," Natsume could already guess what Subaru was thinking, and immediately dismissed the thought without hesitation, "If we get caught, it's no job and possible jail time."

"Just hear me out, we aren't hurting anyone, if anything we're trying to help someone, and it's for personal reasons so if we ju-"

"Tell that to the cops." Natsume responded not even letting Subaru elaborate, restarting the engine.

"You know what," by this point Subaru was losing his patience, "We don't have time for this, if it makes you feel better, I'll do it solo and you can just stay in the car. That's how you always were anyway..."

He had reignited something that didn't need to be lit, and Natsume slammed open the door and rushed towards Subaru, using his sheer weight to knock him to the ground, pinning him down. He knew it was a useless fight that he wouldn't win, Natsume was purely aware of this but despite that his blood was boiling.

"I quit because I had to, not because I wanted to! You're mixing up two things Subaru, justification and petty impulse. Outweigh one with the other, and you have one hell of a mess."

"I don't want any advice from a quitter!" Subaru spat back.

"Running doesn't pay the bills Subaru." his voice softened a little as he continued, "But you have a bright future, you can go pro so easily."

"I looked up to you... you still could have tried harder. I'm sure you could have been better and then we'd bo-" Subaru found his voice shaking as old memories of running with his older brother resurfaced.

Natsume shook his head, "I was facing reality. So that's why I'm worried now, Subaru, I'm facing the reality that by breaking in, we could both lose our careers... and you have so much more potential than being reduced to some petty vandalism." He eased his weight off the man and sat up, Subaru stood up as well.

"Vandalism, sure. But this is our brother we're talking about. I thought family was supposed to stick out for each other. So..."

The next seconds went by in a blur.

Subaru went from standing to sprinting towards the trunk and throwing it open, revealing the folding chair from Kaname's trunk.

"Subaru!" Natsume shouted, scrambling to stand from his dazed state; and sprinted towards the trunk. Subaru immediately grabbed the chair and ran around the opposite side of the car from where Natsume was coming from and ran back towards the entrance of the building.

Shit! He's going to do something stupid. Natsume rounded the trunk and began to sprint in the same direction.

Despite Subaru's incredibly fast pace, it didn't take long for Natsume to catch up to him (after years of running) just feet away as Subaru swung at the glass.

"No!" Natsume screamed, reaching out a hand just as the chair connected with the glass and it shattered.

Oh golly, glass is dangerous! :O Well, if you haven't already please follow/favorite and review (do this as many times as your heart desires! This author lives off reviews! :U) Well I didn't notice this until now, but it looks like I do update one chapter every month, sorry for the delay but it'll probably be like that for awhile. I do admit, I had quite a chuckle when I wrote the balls scene. Out of bad taste, yes, but still funny if you aren't as dense as Iorri. Oh and another thing, to everyone who keeps asking me to add in Ema, I promise it will happen but muchhhh later. Part 2 to this chapter has already been written, and is currently being edited and should be up by the end of this week! OH and I never mentioned this before but I'm free to any collaborations. Anyone who asks will get a response, I promise! So ya PM for that though. Thanks and see ya later! :)
