CHAPTER 23: ENTER ROYALTY

Sonic ran as fast as he could with Psy-Clops flying along by his side. Psy-Clops was made to nearly match both Rainbow Dash's and Sonic's speed, so he didn't have any trouble keeping up. The dark blue walls of the corridors flew past them. Then, Sonic got a call from Shadow.

"Sonic, do you read? I've shut down the bomb." said Shadow.

"Nice work. Now can you help us search for the gang? I already found Tails, Silver, and a new friend, Psy-Clops." replied Sonic.

"On it." said Shadow.

Just as the call ended, Sonic heard voices. And what seemed to be gun-fire. He turned right, towards the voices. There he saw robot parts on the ground and a white adult male pony with a horn and blue mane standing by a pink-ish alicorn wearing a robe of yellow and pink. She also had a crown and her mane was around the same colours. Robot parts were all over the place.

"What happened?" asked Sonic.

"Ah, you must be the Hedgehog everyone is on about." said the alicorn. "I'm Princess Cadence. And this is my husband, Shining Armor."

"Sup?" said Shining Armor.

"And you got out yourself, too?" said Sonic.

"No. Someone who was similar to you got us out." replied Shining.

"And the others...?" Sonic was eager to know where the rest of the Mane Six were.

Meanwhile, in the skies of the snowy plains, Rainbow Dash chased Eggman's Eggmobile as fast as she could. She then caught up with it. She flew along side it.

"Eggman! I KNEW you were up to something!" she shouted.

"Oh ho ho ho ho!" Eggman chuckled. "It's all part of my master plan! And, quite frankly, YOUR part of it, too!"

Then, a robotic arm reached out from under the Eggmobile and grabbed Rainbow Dash. She struggled, but the arm was tight. Then the Eggmobile sped off, into the cold night...

Back at the palace, Sonic, Psy-Clops, Tails, and the rest, ran around a corner. The Mane Six were top priority to find.

"We've been running for too long, Sonic. Their not here." said Cream.

"Yeah, Sonic. Let's look somewhere else." Blaze joined in.

Suddenly, in front of them, an explosion erputed out of nowhere. The group gasped as one of the robots from Eggman's Egg-Citadel walked out of the misty smoke. It had glaives in both hands. Although it was a single one, it looked tough.

"Stay back!" said Silver. "Or I will rip you apart!"

"Like my new suit?" said the robot.

The group looked at it. Then, it took off it's head. Shadow!

"Shadow! What the heck?!" exclaimed Sonic.

"So, another friend of yours?" asked Shining.

"Yup." replied Tails.

"And I've got company." said Shadow. Then, following him through the hole were Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkles, and Pinkie-Pie.

"Hey, guys!" said Twlight.

"Twiliy!" exclaimed Shining. Then, Princess Cadence went over and gave Twilight a hug.

"Now that were all reunited, it's time to stop the rest of the robots. Then we can pack our bags and leave for the final two Chaos Emeralds!" said Blaze.

"Come to think of it, where are the other robots?" asked Rarity?

The group looked around. The only robot around was Psy-Clops. Had they defeated them all?

Then, as if an answer to their question, another robot from the Egg-Citadel come walking around the corner.

"Ok, Shadow, enough tricks." said Sonic.

"Umm, I'm here." said Shadow, behind him.

"So this one's REAL!" exclaimed Fluttershy.

The robot got into the combat stance. It seemed to have AI, meaning that it would be a very difficult foe in an enclosed corridor like this.

The robot lunged at Rarity.
