Chapter 11: The Tournament
Note: Some elements here was borrowed from the movie and I hope you all can identify what character is which that I described here ;)
The day of the tournament has finally arrived, and Jiro was ready. He had been training for this for a long time and he was prepared for any obstacles that may come his way.
For this year's tournament it, all participants must sail on a boat to an isolated island. Jiro packed some clothes and Jin escorted him to the location where the boat would be located. Upon arrival, Jiro saw many different participants: a swordsman that almost looked like a robot, a blonde woman with her hair in a ponytail, a sumo wrestler, a man with a Mohawk in a biker's outfit, a girl with brown hair who was in a bra and bright jeans, a man with a mask that looked like a cheetah, and many others! Jiro stared in amazement, "I can't believe how many people are here!" Jiro said, "The King Of Iron Fist Tournament excepts fighters from all over the world you should expect things like this Jiro" Jin explained.
Jiro proceed to the area with all the fighters while Jin left to put his luggage in the cargo area. While Jiro walked around he was surprised to find a certain person: his best friend Yosuke! "Yosuke is that you?" Jiro said in shock, Yosuke turned around with a "uh oh busted" look on his face, "Oh uh hey pal" Yosuke said trying to cover things up, "I didn't know you were in the tournament, you never said anything" Jiro said in confusion. "Well yeah, you see I kinda wanted it to be a surprise and I didn't have much else to do so I thought "why not?" Yosuke explained, Jiro face palmed at this and was now worried if Yosuke would get in the way of journey to look for his answers or if the two friends would end up fighting each other! Before Jiro could say anything Jin called to his son, Jiro ran to him and the two shared a hug, "Jiro my son before you leave, I want to give you this…." Jin gave Jiro a necklace that was royal blue "This was something I had made for you" The necklace was actually a pendant that had a picture of Jiro when he was young being held by his parents. "As long as you wear this, I won't be that far away, please be careful" Jin said. "I will father, don't worry."
Yosuke and Jiro boarded the ship with the other fighters, Jiro looked around and noticed a young woman with two braids in her hair and dressed like an Indian, "she seems worried about something" Jiro thought to himself, Yosuke just stared at her slightly drooling "Damn she's hot!" Yosuke said, Jiro proceeded to smack Yosuke in the head, "Snap out of it crazy and stay focused!" Jiro said scolding Yosuke. "Right my bad, anyway Jiro I heard that creep Shinji was entering the tournament, I don't see him though" Jiro and Yosuke looked around looking for Shinji, but couldn't find him at all….something seemed amiss.
As the boat left the docks, suddenly a kid on a motorcycle came at high speed! The motorcycle flew in the air and the kid jumped off while the motorcycle fell in the ocean (wow what a waste of money….) the kid landed right on the boat and removed his helmet, it was none other than Shinji! Jiro, Yosuke, and a few security guards appeared before Shinji. "Hold it right there, what is the meaning of you dropping by on this boat" a security guard asked "I am Shinji Aoyama, and I am a participant of this tournament." Shinji held out his pass to enter the tournament, after observing it the security guards allowed him to stay. Jiro and Yosuke glared at Shinji, "Hello old friends missed me?" Shinji said "Why would we miss you? And why did you just show up on a motorcycle like that?" Yosuke said. "I over slept and didn't want to miss me kicking both your asses" Shinji said. "Look you two we will be arriving at the tournament tomorrow and we can settle things there later ok?" Jiro said trying to calm the mood. All three begun to glare and they agreed to settle things at the tournament. Now the rest up on the boat and readied for what obstacles await them…
